It is five more days til my sister shows up. I was pretty tired from changing diapers today, and also had to go to the IRS for some paperwork issues, which turned out to be resolved last May. I spoke to an agent early December and was told to bring several documents before coming down to Long Beach. Well, I am just glad that I didn't need to return. Working with the government can be a nightmare.
Dad is less and less cognizant of what is going on around him. Although he is still eating by himself and can follow simple commands if you repeat them several times. He can't figure out if he has to poop or pee, which makes it difficult to keeping him clean. I thought what a blessing it is that he had one testicle removed several years back, otherwise it is more difficult to wipe him clean.
We are going to see Auntie Mary tomorrow. Dad will not know his own sister. It is sad, but being 95 1/2 what can we expect. Mom and I had a chat about the eventuality, and she said that she is not going to be lonely, as she is alone already, since dad lost the ability to hold a conversation. He was never a great conversationist anyway, and now he hardly talks. He says often he is trying to figure out what he is trying to think and wonders why things seem so confusing to him. I just tell him not to worry about it.
Lovely says Alan chipped his tooth in a scooter accident today. I think he will need a crown. Too bad. He had 8 stitches, the poor guy. Seems like riding in TW is dangerous to your health, especially the way Alan rides. Last year this time, he got into a scooter accident too and was all banged up. Too bad Lovely does not have a smart phone, she can really post some good photos.
I am going to start boxing up the books and extra clothes that mom does not wear anymore. It seems so sad that soon dad will not be with us. I gotta remember that he will be in HEAVEN with a new body and no more confusion, and he will probably see MUTT LEE, and Brindi. AND LUCKY !!!!
Kurt says I am too involved in his life. He does not seem to be motivated enough, and yet he is the most motivated of all my children. Will has been asking some really rude questions about the real estate deal, and I am tired to be the punching bag of all this bad energy.
