The Big Boo Boo

So it is Tuesday, January 19, 2016. What's the big boo boo?  Well, I made a huge payment to FTB, Franchise Tax Board, and I should have made it to IRS.  Can I get it back, no.  I spoke to FTB today, and the nice gentleman Chris said that I will get it back after I file my tax return.

Well, so the scramble begins for money.  James, wired me some, Warren, will return some money he borrowed.  Diane loaned me some money, and we will be ok.  NOT flush, and have to watch what we buy for awhile, but hey, it keeps life interesting.

Christmas came and went.  Will came home on December 18, Lovely came in on December 16, and Kurt came in on Friday the 18th also.  Kurt played on the alumni water polo game on Saturday, and Chadwick, and had a GREAT time.  Of course he was mad about having to catch a flight Friday afternoon, while his last final was Friday from 11 - 2.  We prayed that he passes his classes, and last week, we found out that he got one C, one C- and a B-.  That is really good considering he had an F going into the final.  Why?  Too much drinking, smoking and LSD.  YUP, the kid sure makes us worry.

Mom and dad and Auntie Mary and Ricky came today to celebrate their birthday.  Auntie Mary's was the 7th, and she is 92.  Mom's birthday is the 30 and she will be 85, and dad is 97 1/2.  He is sure slowing down.  Sunday we went out to Killer Shrimp for dinner, and as it was really dark on the pier, he was freaking out, and could NOT WALK.  So we cut the pier walk short and came home.

We are leaving for Taiwan on the night of the 3rd.  Alan is coming this Friday and will stay for a month.  It is so weird that Lovely thinks it is ok for him to be on "vacation" by himself for one month in January, and two months in the summer.  KR would never put up, or go for that.  Just playing and eating and shopping.  At least Abby is coming this summer.

Will is doing well in New York.  BUT he is spending too much money.  He text me that he did not have the money to buy a plane ticket so I had to front the money.  As he asked so late, the ticket was over 700 bucks.  His spring break ticket was about 425, would have been 375 if he had gotten his schedule two weeks earlier.  He gets about 800 bi monthly, and yet spends every dime.  I worry about him and his finances.  Maybe he will marry someone who can rein in the spending.

Kurt, what can we say, too much partying.

Tyler has not contacted us since December 20.  He just posted that he is going to Oregon.  I will believe it when I see it.  He wanted to join the coast guard, he wanted to work at the airport, and he just continue to skate and no job.

Retirement is a hoot.......
