Friday waiting for KR to come home from an afternoon with Matthew and his brother and Brian Wagner of Royal Family Kids Klub.
The boy got someone to sublet and came home. KR drove 13+ hours to get him last Thursday (1/18/18), two days after classes started. He is suppose to be getting a job, in the meantime working at home and at Popo's to help mom and dad. So weird that he was here all of 9 months, then went back for four, and now back again. He was pretty depressed for a bit, and now seems to have nary a worry. Not applying hard enough to get a job. He applied to Apple, Fedex, In-N-Out, and Mary Trumble came today for some notary stuff and Courtney works at the county as a inmate intake person, and says the benefits are amazing. So, I encouraged Kurt to apply. Wow, the questionnaire, have you taken illegal drugs, have you done this and that....... PLUS he will have to take a poly....
I got my MRI last Wednesday, and today finally got the result. NOTHING, nada, nothing wrong mainly a bit of degeneration with the joint of my hip, but so why is my hip hurting so much??? Unable to run, and can hardly move around sometimes......The MRI with contrast is very interesting. They inject this dye in and then into the MRI you go. Felt like my head was going to split open.
The day before Kurt came home, Will moved out. He said our rules were too restrictive. They are
1 Going to church once a week
2 No eating in his room
3 Keep my car clean when he drives it
Well, he missed church last Sunday, said he overslept, so we said Tuesday morning at 6 15 is ok. Well, he goes but just sits in the foyer, and we said that is not good enough.
He started hiding the soda cans and food containers in the drawers in his room. I found three or four soda cans, a wine bottle, and an empty styrofoam container, plus peanut butter jar, and a spoon with peanut butter on it, all stuffed into the drawers. So Wednesday, he packed up and moved to Pixie's house, right around the corner. He says he is mad at us for being inflexible, and that we are driving all our relatives away. oh well
Isaiah and Alan are in Australia. They just arrived at Ed's and will be touring Canberra. They had some tickets to the Australian Open. Isaiah is seeing his girlfriend Sarah, I think in Sydney later this month. Some of Alan's students will be coming to stay with us for a few days next month.
I am working more and more. With teledentistry, Megha wants me to cover for her at the clinic. I am afraid KR is going to get in trouble with me being gone all the time. Oh, only time well tell.

Dismissed from Cal
Well, it has been almost two weeks since the new year, and I guess I am just not the daily post kind of gal. Would be good if i remember, or really, just take the time.
So we heard from Kurt that Cal is kicking him out. Initially I was really upset, because he is probably really upset, then I thought, it is a learning curve. He has never had a stumbling block worthy of doing anything about it. This should help him decide if he wants to change everything about him or just hum along and do the same thing.
I spent the whole morning cleaning his room, maybe getting it ready for him, before I heard the news. He needs to decide if he wants to live there and get a job. I am sure he can work at Cal Dining, and stay at that apartment til the lease is up, or he can try to sublet and see what happens and come down here. When and if he comes down, he needs to either get a full time job, or go to school full time, or something. The most important thing is that he needs to make a complete change.
After the initial frenzy of tidying up, I am slowing down a bit. We got really mad at Will for not cleaning up the french mess, and he is changing a little. We had Will's birthday celebration at Benihana on January 3. The food was good, the alcohol too expensive and the chicken fried rice outstanding. I still don't know how they do the double egg thing with the bowl.
Saturday, the 6th, Kurt went up to Chadwick to play at the alumni bowl. He had a great time in the pool. Rob had a hip replacement and is able to swim and play and he was in the pool with the guys. Kurt Buckbinder, Matty Galas and a few folks that I remember were there. We enjoyed the games and KR went surfing before it was over, and Kurt and I had the BBQ lunch after.
My girls are starting to lay, and the other day, I got FOUR EGGS. This Monday, it started to rain, and it poured for two whole days. The 101 freeway by Santa Barbara was completely inundated with mud and the freeway was closed and many houses were destroyed and people killed. First the fire, then the mud slide.
Kurt was suppose to write the letter for readmission, but he waited so long. Wednesday night I had an epiphany and thought he needs to be up there. So I told him to buy a ticket and Thursday, KR drove him to Union Station, and he left. He didn't want to go yet, thinking he can avoid the inevitable. He said Lilly is still a mess, and he can't stand living there. I think his letter was so lame, but I didn't say anything. Tonight he is suppose to get the official notification that he is not returning. I don't know if he can never go back or just for a semester or two. They don't want people that don't want to be there.
Especially a Regent Scholar.
Another chapter of the book. Wonder what it will reveal.
