Almost New Years and the Nigerian Prince strikes

Chris and Sarah left via Mike and Carole this morning at 5 15.

 So KR goes surfing and I had agreed to take Ella to go cash a check.  Well turns out she is been scammed by the Nigerian Prince email that says that she is suppose to give these people money and then she will get thousands of dollars of 'lottery' money.  Really, people are still falling for it.

I took her to ACE to cash a check, and then she went to CVS to get money card, and she text the card number to a Detective David Angelo.  How can people be so so stupid?  She even sold her car trying to get this lottery money.  She lives two doors down from Bob Lombardi, upstairs,  

So Maggie called the cops and officer Chavez came and talked to her and took a report and told her NOT to give anyone money in the future,  She does not seem to be bothered that it was a scam and that she lost THOUSANDS of dollars.  Chuck Oh, our neighbor cop also came.  

The weather was good today.  68

I had done downstairs laundry and made the bed.

Tyler called said he wants to come and visit.  We told him ok if he pays us the 400 first,  If he had the money to buy gas, he should pay us.  Have not heard back,  So i guess he/they are not coming

KR watched TV and I tried to get rid of stuff 

Working Tuesday

 Well, Magda asked me if I could see one of Dr Weston's patients, Jody.  I had Reese and Ryan Walters at 8 30 and then Jody was suppose to come in at 10 am and he said he didn't get the text that asked him to come in at 10 so he didn't show up until 10 30.  I was kind of mad.  I cleaned his teeth and asked him to see Dr Weston for exam of the x rays.

I got back and we were suppose to go to Rosie's and Mark  said he did not want to go, so we are going on Thursday.  We got an amazing turkey carcass from Bill Johnson and I will make soup.  

KR and I walked the dog over to Yeye ahd to see if the crazy lady is camping out behind the club house, per Maggie Pagan.  She said she is trying to get the health department or someone to get her back into her own unit.  Oh my

We came home and I cooked a little of the calico that Mark dropped off,  Delicious.

We listened to Henry Kaney of KHC and went to bed.

Working Monday

 It was cold again, and I went to work.  Maribel wanted me to work on her brother, Mario or Marcos whose filling on #7 has come out and the viewing is Tuesday.  

I made some jam first, the last of the kumquat and apricot and canned them.  There were two emergency plus Chris B for suture removal, Kierra Schneider with cracked #19, and Hector with cracked #A.  SO I think I was there from 8 - 11 or 11 30.  Maribel was pretty stressed out,  With her brothers viewing tomorrow and funeral Wednesday. 

I got home and it had been pouring all day.  The five of us went to Wahoo for lunch, BLOOD lunch, and we all got the #1 special and came home here to eat.  Sarah and Chris got shrimp taco I think. 

Kurt went to Yeye's when Violet left in the afternoon.  There was enough water and low enough temperature that it hailed in some parts of Torrance,  Too bad we didn't see it.

It got down to 39 degrees,

Church Sunday

 KR went surfing early and we went to church without him.  BJ Gorrel was the guest speaker.  He was really good.  Paul was sick.

Doug came over and brought a 5 pound bag of crawfish.

KR went to the 11 am service.  Violet stayed with Yeye and it was still cold.  

We stopped at John and Katherine and got some biscotti, yum.

We walked the dog at Sunset and it was green.  We went over to Yeye's and ate the crawfish, which there was not enough meat.  My stomach was upset and I didn't eat much.

Saturday

 This morning was REALLY cold, about 48 outside.  We bundled up and walked the dog.  Then KR went to buy beans for the soup he made last month, something to do with beans.  I did laundry and proceeded to do more house work

KR and Kurt went to the farmers market.  

It is now Wednesday and I cant remember anything

Merry Christmas 2020

 Merry Christmas All

KR said he was up at 3 30 to pee and could not go back to sleep, so he got up to do the casseroles.  I was up about 5 and helped him finish and then put them in the oven.  Bill and Tom J came by to pick us up and they had several casseroles too.

We got down to the parking structure by Kincaid's and Dan Hubbard was there setting up, and there was a LOT of donated food by the various grocery stores, such as Von's.  But there was a lot of rotting food, like tangerines that was completely moldy.  

After I did all I could, i started walking/running home.  But I had to call Kurt to come and pick me up at Daiso, my hip and knee.  KR came home about 10 30 and said about 30 showed up.

He took a nap and I tried to order Chinese from Seafood Town.  Well they didn't answer the phone I knew the lines must be long so I drove down there, and sure enough, man oh man, line was long.  I placed our order - shrimp, mongolian beef, green beans and cashew chicken and came home.

KR dropped me and Kurt off and went to pick up the food.  Mimi and Den had already showed up and KR didn't get back until after 1, said it was very busy.

We had a fab lunch, with much dessert fo gingerbread cookies and other cookies that Violet has gotten.  We came home and KR took another nap while I got the roast ready for the oven.  Garlic covering the whole roast.  It turned out so so amazing.  We had mashed potatoes with cream cheese and salad plus dessert but no one was hungry after the roast.  Violet said she was not going to eat and still ended up eating a lot.  This roast was one of the bestest I have ever made

We played some carols on the piano and they went back to their house,   It was a very nice Christmas.

We went to bed after cleaning the house.

CHRISTMAS eve Thursday 12/24/2020

 We didn't get up until past 6.  It was cold but not that bad, we still turned on the heat.  Chris and Sarah got up, had some tea.  We walked Gracie at the beach and she only got one treat from Natalie.  Chris and Sarah drove our car, the van.  Bill Johnson came over and dropped off two casseroles for tomorrow.  We will be cooking two too for the Homeless feeding.

KR went to watch dad and Kurt and I went SHOPPING at Del Amo Mall.  YES, CHRISTMAS SHOPPING LAST MINUTE.  There were plenty of people who waited until the last minute and we went to the stores that didn't have a line, as the capacity of each store was way down, per city decree.  

We got the girls, Corrina,, Akiki/Sarah and Breanna?  all little something.  I paid for it all, as his Christmas gifts.  Almost 80 dollars.

Then we went to COTB, as the in person church was canceled.  It was a beautiful service and sunset.  Kurt was bothered by my singing.  I really don't care.  He went for a swim.  Matthew and Bubba came over to drop off KR's gift, and we had dinner.  TOMORROW IS CHRISTMAS

I also got some BEAUTIFUL toilet paper ear rings I just LOVE

Wednesday

 We got up to walk the dog, and last night I had to move to the other bed.  Gracie was taking up so much room and moving about and in and out of the blanket.  I got up at 4 and kept getting up and finally up at about 6

We stopped at Ralphs and got the shredded potatoes and beer, and KR went and got chicken food,  He started making gingerbread cookies.  They turned out so so good.  He also drank two or three 7.2 beers, and was toasty.  Mark Paulson came by and Gracie and Gaia had a fun time rolling around.  Kurt was at Yeye's all day.  Said he wanted to go Christmas shopping, for both Akiko and Corrina, but didn't know what to get or when to go.  Asked me to go, and I said ok, but he couldn't get the inertia to go. MAYBE tomorrow

KR also chopped the ham, and I gave a chunk to Sarah, plus three cookies.  THEY LIKED IT.  And they never want to eat sweets.

Eddie C came by after his extraction by Martin.  He was bleeding pretty good so I had to get out a bunch of gauze and qtip and stopped the bleeding with the tea bag.  Martin thinks we can do a 4 unit bridge, but I don't think so.  The bone level is not good.  And the teeth were a little mobile.

Chris and Sarah Gooch came by and we talked a little.  They are so so cute and adorable.  We all crashed before 9, and they are two hours ahead of us

Tuesday and only one patient

 I was suppose to have two patents this morning, but Lea text me and said that Paula's roommate just tested positive and Paula is looking for a test and Lea was with Paula Sunday night and should she come?  I told her no.  Stay home.  I went and saw Rita Risor and cleaned her teeth, gave Kathy her gift, which was what we got from office at Marc's house, blanket and starbuck gift card.  Will gave me a gift card from Redondo Oral Surgery, they sent a small tree with gift cards clipped on them,

As soon as I got home, we left for Rosie's.  Mark Paulson met us down there with Gaia and Gracie and Gaia had a great time.  I ran a little onto Naples and the pups got a bath and came home. As soon as we got home, we ate a little and went to red cross to GIVE BLOOD.  after that, I tried to nap but no go.  KR slept a little.  

We also got 12 Wahoo coupons and went to Wahoo fish taco for dinner.  We stopped at Yeye's and he said he would go with Kurt to get food, but when the time came he refused, so Kurt went and got food and when he got back yeye had eaten an orange and four pieces or plain bread and said he had dinner.  

OH MAN

He gets to be so weird sometimes.

Kurt was pretty frustrated in trying to get him to eat.

Monday AND I HAVE TO WORK

 I didn't get up until 6 30, my hip hurts.  KR had Zoom and I had to go to work to see Elizabeth Han, and then go to Lawndale to cement two crowns,  Elizabeth had a lot of stains and said she kicked her two girls out and they are at Ron's because they were being lazy and won't do anything like dishes.  She is too stressed having them.  I told her good for her.

I came home for a minute and then drove to Lawndale.  Michael Almera's crowns were too light, and too squarish.  I had to contour them, and the incisal line angles, at D on both crowns were both too square.  What was the lab thinking of?  Finally I cemented them and took pictures.

Came home and KR was weeding.  He had only ONE beer.  He ate lunch and took a nap.  I rode to Yeye's and they were out, and came home and ran two miles.  I don't know if I can do that anymore.  My hip really hurts.  

Kurt went over there to Yeye and Violet left.  Mimi said she is back with Den, and wants to bring him oer for Christmas.  Why not.

KR made gingerbread dough and will be baking them tomorrow.

Chuck came over and brought three bundt cakes over as a gift.

Sunday CHURCH on the BEACH

 BOH said that since Paul is out of town, Dan Parkins would not have service and today no church.  We didnt get up until a little after 6 for KR and I was awake off and on and got up at 7.  Yeye and Violet said they would not go to church with us, as it is too too cold.  We walked Gracie to yeye's to look for a cat cage, but I had already given it away to Judi M.  We came home and went to COTB. 

THE WEATHER WAS BEAUTIFUL

I could not believe the weather.  I wore my Santa outfit and it was so warm that I had to take off two layers by the time church was done.  It hit 75 today.  

We came home and Laurie and Steve came by to pick up the gifts for the foster kids, plus ham and potatoes and pie.  KR went to Compton to drop off the rest of the gifts and the ham etc.  

We loaded up Kurts truck and took the bikes down for a lovey ride, Ave I to El Porto.  There were many people out running and riding especially for mid December.

We came home and we decided on In N Out for dinner.  I found a gift card that was purchased in 2012 and I think gave to Kurt but was never used, so 4 double doubles later, we had dinner.  I was really tired.  MY NECK seems to be giving me fits, like I need to stretch it all the time,, and MY HIP

Beautiful Saturday

 KR got up early and went surfing.  I cleared the kitchen counter under the charging station, and made a little cubbie for holding our numerous glasses.  KR and Kurt went to the Farmers Market.  I made rice and a yummy steak, in the plug in non stick pan.  I didnt' want to cook on the stove top, too much clean up.

Mark came by with Gaia before KR came home, and Gaia and Gracie had a lickfest and they left. KR also got four hams and mashed potatoes and presents for all the Klub kids.  After lunch, he drove the presents for Matthew and Bubba to their house, man they have a LOT OF GIFTS.

KR took a nap, and I rode around.  Dumped some medicine off at Lomita HazMat collection.  There were lots of cars putting things in like electronics, and paints and stuff.   I was really tired when I got home. 

We went down to the beach to watch the sunset.  I missed the green flash.

KR had left over steak and watched foot ball with fire.  Kurt slept from about 5 pm and then got up earlier, but I didn't know, KR said.  I went to bed at 9 and slept until almost 7, for some reason I was tired.  

Friday

 We both got up early and KR went to surf.  Ave I was good and cold.  I did laundry and changed the sheets.  THen he planted figs, after watching youtube video, and I rode to Angelica's house to drop off her gift, small gift, Lularoe legging with some Christmas kitchen towels.

I also went and talked to Violet about working next month.  Kurt was lounging at home all day.  I also went to Ralphs and bought the roasts and some fried chicken and frozen vege.  We are going to have Chinese at lunch Christmas day and then roast for dinner.

Afternoon we walked Gracie at the beach and I ran two miles, very slow.  My hip really hurt, but I took three advil before the run. 

We had ZOOM and only the Ackerman and Gooch and us met, Cindy said her back hurt and Joann and Tony begged off for some reason.  I was really really tired and was asleep in 2 min after REBUFFING KR, hahaham tomorrow

WORKING Thursday

 KR was up by 5 and I got up at 5 30 for work.  Left by 6 30, KR had an appt with dermatologist, Wickwire's associate Dr Ammar, who KR likes even more than Bill.  It was a busy day, and I was exhausted by the time we were done.  

I came home ate a little and went to bed,  We were thinking about going to Death Valley, but then decided it was too rushed, as I had to see a patient on Monday, Elizabeth Hans and then to Lawndale clinic to see Michael Almera to deliver the crowns.  Then I have to work on Tuesday too.

After only about half hour nap, we got up.  Maybe we will go in January or end of January if Kurt wants to go.  Titus Canyon.

THEN we had a visitor Ruth Aramaki.  She showed up at the door after looking for us.  Karyn Redd is trying to get a job with her.  I told Ruth I would not hire her again in a million years.  

Violet didn't arrive until 7 pm, said something about leaving her phone at home and had to go back and traffic was bad.  KR watched some football and lit a fire.  I was tired so I went to bed by 9

Still no Jury Wednesday

 KR thought he was going to go surfing.  He went down there and came back and said it was not good enough to go so we went and walked the dog.  Adele had brought over some treats that Cali had and she gave them to us, and Gracie LOVES them.  Venison, freeze dried.  I brought some down to the beach and all the dogs slobbered over them.

KR then trimmed the trees in the back and filled the cans,  I spent hours cleaning the garage.  For some reason always takes me so so long.  I also rode to Costco to get Chinese sausages.  I thought the Korean store had it, but nope.  I wanted to cook the kale with them, so I got pea chips, vege chips and pita chips.  Plus the sausages and cooked a LOT of kale.  We also ate the cauliflower, 

KR bought some bicycle tires for Bubba and Matthew's bicycles and went there to fix them before Donna's 'unofficial' party for KLUB tonight.

I had a nice evening at home by myself.  Wrote some Christmas cards and went to bed.  KR came home about 9 30 after dropping the kids off.  They all had a great time  I was asleep already

Tuesday 12/15/2020

 Today is Will's 27th birthday.  I sent him a text but he did not respond.  I sent a msg on his FB too, he didn't respond.  He did like dad's msg, but that was early on.  Oh well.  KR went surfing and I went to work, saw Kimel at office. 

KR went to Farmer's Market.  Got maybe 14 heads of cauliflower, and so many kale and so much cilantro.  I gave a bunch away, and cooked five head in the oven.  Turned out really yummy.  

In the afternoon, I also dressed up as Santa and went to the office delivering small gifts for EVERYONE, except I forgot Angelica, so I will have to go to her house to deliver.

We had dinner from Sarah and I also got a little bit of lemon bundt cake from office.  Kurt was still up at 11 when I got up to pee.  I told him to KNOCK IT OFF

Jury Duty Week

 So I don't have jury today.

I went for a two mile run when KR had Zoom. (Very Early)  Then we walked the dog, then for a drive up to PV and then to Smart and Final for steaks and tri tip and using the c10 dollar off coupon.  Kurt finally mopped the floors.  KR went to Walmart and Target trying to get tires for Bubba's bike, but no go.  He will go to Walmart on 190th this afternoon an d check it out.  

The chickens are STILL NOT laying, and today's wind is howling and they are hiding in the coop.  We wrote cards and got a few.  

I also cooked some ribs that I got from Smart & Final.  I rode my bike there and thought the coupon was good but it didn't start until the 14 (tomorrow) and today is the 13.  I bought steaks and salad and rode home.

KR also BBQ a trip tip.  Turned out really good.  He marinated it first.  We went to dad's to eat.  Kurt said Yeye spent 10 min telling him not to bother with dinner.  Oye vey

Listened to a sermon, Jeff Gill, I fell asleep in the middle.

Church on Sunday with Violet

 First time church on Sunday with Violet. 

We got up by 6 and I did laundry and then we went down to the beach to walk Gracie.  It was 48 and COLD.  I wore two pairs of pants.  We hung the laundry and went to pick up Yeye and Violet.  Kurt was kind of in a funk, and at church KR said something like for Kurt to go on a double date with Akiko/Sarah and Corrina, and Kurt got mad and moved seat.

Saddleback had a drive through nativity event at the YMCA, complete with goats, lambs, donkeys, and alpaca and a camel.  So very interesting to see them set up with balloons, and signs and so many people helping, and the animals.........  just WOW    I posted it on BNT and several people went and said it was amazing.

We came home and Kurt went to get curry.  KR had two beers, and was looking for vodka from Kurt's room, I believe, but he likes to hide it.  They both went to nap and I went to Smart & Final, except my coupon was not good for another day, but I bought steaks anyway.  And a bag of salad.

We had chicken chili and I ate too much lime pie, tummy ache.  I think the lactose thing is worse as I gt older.  We went to bed by 9 30, then I was up peeing at 11 40 and Kurt was still up.  I unplugged the router, and turned off the bones i was simmering.  Will cook them again tomorrow.

Decorating the TREE

 KR got up early and I didn't until about 6 30.  I DON"T have to report to Jury on Monday.  You can find out by 7 pm Friday if you are scheduled.  Lovely had her 59th birthday.  Soon everyone will be in the 60's.  I also went to the estate sale by Adele yesterday and she bought me three packs of coffee filters for about 3 dollars !!!!!

KR brought the tree in before he went to drop off pie for Cindy and going to Bubba and Matthew to help them fix their bicycles.  He brought them home while he ate a Steve's burger and they all went to Columbia Park, off of 190th.  Kind of an unofficial Royal Family party.

Violet brought dad by to decorate the tree.  Dad was really weird.  He did not want to take off is mask, and was in a hurry, and just put the ornaments on where ever he was closest to.  But at least it got done.  We put up most of them, and the lights look very nice.

KR came home and took a nap.  

Jon came by to drop off some cookies.  We got the garage door keypad and the terminals where the 9 V battery goes in had an old battery head stuck in it and while KR tried to get that off, the whole half of the terminal came off.  Jon figured out that the old one terminals was easy to remove, and so we had to swap out the new/broken one to the old one.  Then we could not figure out how to get the keypad to 'relearn' the code.  After Jon left, I finally figured it out.  It was NOT 3, 5, 7 PROG, but PROG, 6, up/down button.  At least I got it to work.

Went to bed.

Friday We got our tree

 We walked the dog this morning.  Neither on e of us got up until 6 30.  So late.  I wonder what happened to the Raid Man.  His brain has gotta be so messed up.

We stopped at the store to get more supplies for Lime Pie.  KR went and picked some limes from Sue Lopez and I made the pies and baked them.  Drove over to Jon Liu and dropped off a pie, then to 99 cent store for more pie crusts, then to Jon's for cheap stuff, none to be found, then to Ralph's for more sweetened condense milk, and made another two more pies.

Tiffany had stopped by, and I dropped some pies off for her and Rita.  She had come in for a visit for a few days.  

KR and Kurt went up to the YMCA lot in PV and bought a beautiful tree for 120 BIG ONES, and that is after 15 dollars off.

We cooked mashed potatoes and a steak for dinner.  

We had Zoom Bible Study.  Everyone showed up and even Carole, who said she was a little tired of the group.   Must give her more encouragement.  She and Mike got some pie, and so did Joanne and Tony.  I will drop some off for Patty tomorrow and KR will drop off for Cindy and Donna.

We had THREE sessions of Zoom and went to bed.

WORKING Thursday

 Got to the office by 6 45.  Kurt was over at yeye's by 7 05 and gave him breakfast.  Work was ok.  Couple of screaming mimi's.  Got done at almost 1 and drove to get our CHRISTMAS present from the office.

You had to drive through Cravens Child Guidance Office in Old Town Torrance.  Lisa, Dr Sata and Marc were all there handing out baskets.  I got some really good Moscato wine.  

Came home and KR was asleep.  I was tired but could not sleep.  Rode through the alleys, and got a dish rack.  KR went to prune trees at mom's.  Then we dropped off a whole bunch of food at Harbor Rock, chicken patties, chicken chili, grilled cheese sandwiches and individual pizzas.

Got some food from Daynah and KR had the turkey sandwich with some tomato soup for dinner.  I made top ramen for Kurt with the chicken soup.  Then they watched football.  

Violet came at 4 30 and will be staying until Monday when Mimi comes.r  Kurt came home and was glad to be off for a few days.  Monday morning could not come slow enough

WEDNESDAY OSHA via zoom

 I got up really early and KR went surfing.  I had OSHA training via Zoom.  I didn't want to go into the office.  Good thing, it started late as Dr Sata had run late with a patient.

After OSHA, I went over to Yeye's and Kurt had shaved half of his 'stache off, looked so funny.  I asked him to do a bunch of stuff like getting the stuff off the counter, clean the bathroom mirrors, mop the floor, etc.  Since he was not ready for Yeye I told him he had to come home and lights out by 11 tonight.  I went to bed about 9 30 and could not sleep waiting for him.  

He woke me at 10 55 and was lights out.

Chuck also brought over 4 agapanthus plants and I posted them, they were gone just like that.  He said there will be more tomorrow.

TUESDAY and no farmers market

 So I got up  before KR again.  Just could not sleep past 5.  He got ready early went to Ralphs and bought graham cracker crust so I can make lime pie.  I squeezed the limes Vanessa gave me and made a pie for tonights dinner.  KR went surfing, for OVER FOUR HOURS so we didn't get anything from market.

I rode to the 99 cent store and bought more crusts, but they didn't have sweetened condensed milk, just sweetened creamer.  I came home and then rode to Nancy's to pick up the pill box and try the other 99 ent store.  Not there either, so I guess I will have to go back to Target or Ralph for more if I want to make it again.

KR took a nap and I finished the Christmas letters.  MUST get them out soon

We got to Bill Johnson for dinner.  He cooks sole and we brought scallops.  IT was amazing, delicious and the chat and the friendship,  Their dogs, Cooper and Sadie were so so sweet too.

Came home and went to bed

Monday Pearl Harbor Day

 It was cold this morning.  KR had zoom and after we dropped off some dog beds at Jennifer Rosen of Bullies and Buddies, then had a walk with Gracie over at Veteran's Park near the pier.  It was really cold.  We stopped at Yeye's and Mimi was there.  Andreas and Mirabel came to clean the house. I had the heat on.  KR and I also went to Big 5 to buy some shoes for Matthew and Bubba.  We then got to go food from Sushi Boy.  Kurt liked his food.

I wrote the Christmas letter.  Got back on the phone with EBT as Violet lost the card sometime last week.  

43 minutes later I am getting a new card.

Mimi left at 2 and Kurt went over there.  Dad wrapped the shoe boxes.  We also got a large XXL sweat shirt for Bubba from BNT Vanessa across the park.  We drove up to PV for a look see and there is surf coming in.  We went by the beach too, and came home to left over dinner and a very nice clean house.

We also got some limes from Vanessa and we will make a pie for tomorrow night dinner at Bill's house.

We listened to KHC sermon and fell asleep

Sunday Church

 It was REALLY cold this morning and KR 'woke' me up.  I turned the heat on.  We walked the dog at the beach, me two pairs of pants.  Then it was church, with Kurt and Yeye.

We told Kurt that we were not going to employ him anymore,  He begged for one more change.  Would be up by 6 45 and breakfast and all that.  If he does not follow through would be NO MORE.,

Violet didn't answer the phone and I need to call tomorrow for the EBT card.

I had cooked curry chicken in crock pot last night and it was very good today.  Not overcooked.  After church we stopped at JJ Bakery, got about 20 bucks of food, so so yummy but expensive, but HEY, we have the money.

I also made an online donation to some lady Rebeca Costa I don't even know who needs PT for her husband who was in a bicycle accident over a year ago.  WOW

KR took a nap after two beers and I rode around and got some shoes etc.

We had dinner and listened to a sermon before going to bed.  Kurt was over at Yeye's

Saturday

 KR went surfing and then went to Farmers Market.  We took Gracie to walk there and there were so many squirrels that she didn't know what to do with....   hahaha  Not much stuff to eat, just a few tomatoes.

Kurt was at Yeye's since last night.  We went for a drive in the late afternoon to see the surf.  It was cold this morning.  I turned the heat on.

 KR went surfing and it was so cold that I turned on the heat.  YUP, me and the heat.  While walking outside, my knee felt weird.  Kind of like something was out of whack.  The right one, yes, the one with the surgery.

I drove to Perkins Lane and dropped off a card and a check for Maribel, and her brother's funeral.  Then I went to visit Nancy.  She was kind of weird, saying that she didn't feel well and would not want a visitor, so I left.  Went to the 99 cent store and bought a bunch of guava juice, then to Ralph to get milk and hopefully some fried chicken but no luck, except I did score a bunch of 99 cent OJ, like 7 of them.

KR came home and ate and then nap and I rode around the neighborhood.  My knee still does not feel right.  We went up to PV and walked Gracie.  My neck was also rather sore and stiff today.  It was warm, maybe 72.  I also changed the sheets.

I made taco meat, and also turkey patties.  Sarah dropped off some pho and Kurt and KR watched UFC.  Kurt went over to Yeye's after I went to bed.  I gave Violet 400 dollars and we are now even to the end of last week.  I hope she does not gamble the money away.

I also called DPSS and Violet is still not approved by the justice department, but hopefully she would be paid RETRO to September 17, that would be some big money.

Went to bed praying that my knee holds out.  NO SURGERY

MORE working Thursday

 Today is suppose to be an easy day

Got there at 6 45 and had our huddle.  Kim left around 10 15 since she had to work tomorrow, as the WEST students were coming.  I had some real PITA's and I worked Christopher Xu hard !!!  Since Monica and Megha both told me not to ASK him to do things but just TELL him to do things, I did,

We were done by 12 45 and  home.,  Ate a little and immediately packed up to go cycling.  We loaded and started at Ave I all the way to El Porto.  It was a nice day.

Got home and KR took a nap.  I did not.  Paperwork galore.

I had a hard time sleeping.  Kept waking up.  I think Gracie is putting too much pressure on me and I just can't get comfortable.

Kurt talked to a counselor at El Co about his transfer status, etc.  It is about time

WORKING WEDNESDAY

 So I arrive at 7 30 and NO ONE WAS THERE

HAHAHA  Tracy and Yvonne were late.  But hey.  I meet Christopher Xu, the new intern from Western.  He seems to be a nice guy and I had him WORKING hard.

MIMI CALLS ME  VIOLET IS GAMBLING AGAIN, and got the debt up to 20,000  ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

I work and then had a time for a run at lunch, then finished about 5 40.

Came home and picked up food from Sarah, so yum.  Chicken porridge and then spicy shrimp and meat. 

I am really tired.

Tuesday First Day of December

 Day dawns bright and early.

We go walk Gracie to the park then Bill came to pick up KR for Manhattan Beach to help some guy name Ben, who was baptized by Bill 20 years ago but is now living amuck or something

Then they went to the farmers market.  Kurt and KR.

While we were walking at the park, we saw this lady walking around reading and one of her kids, a little girl of 8 was just sitting there.  I walked over to see if she was hungry, she said yes, and we went home, I made her some eggs and hash browns as the mom said they didn't eat meat  Mom's name was Monique, and the girls were Aubree and Kiley.  I called the cops to have social services try to help.  Royale was trying to help too.

I made an appt for Violet to have her windshield replaced.  She got a rock hit and it started cracking. Thursday morning is the drop off.

Megha calls and asks if I would work for her Wednesday, her au pair's best friend came down with Corona, and she didnt want to go to the office.

So I will work 7 30 - 6 tomorrow

We drove down to watch the sunset.  I ran Ave C three times.

Took awhile to clean up and go to bed.

Monday LAST day in November

Day dawns cold, 45.  KR said he ha da dream that he REOPENED the dental office.  HAHAHA  And he had only one patient n a day.  

He had Zoom with Chris Cannon and I tried to contact Medi-Cal, all to no avail.  Then I tried again and an hour and 20 minutes later, I got it done, increase dad's food stamps to 186 or someting a month.  Also called Surgitel, they would be process my return soon, like 1  - 3 weeks.  Yikes.

We left for Rosie's and I went running, around Naples Island, just off of Belmont Shores.  I ran 3.4 miles, and KR and Gracie was in the water.  We came home, rested a bit and I picked up food from Daynah on Felbar.

We had dinner, I think, can't remember and went to bed

Sunday

 I was suppose to pick up Nancy for church, but she text me this morning saying that she is not feeling too well so I didn't go there.  Kurt was over at yeye's and he took dad to church and KR and I drove.

KR also put up the door garlands over the garage and the front door.  Mark came by and Gaia and Gracie had a lick fest, and a beer.  Then KR down another one real quick.  He seems to be a lot moodier when he drinks.  He tried taking a nap and no go, then read in the sun and another attempt at a nap.

I rode around in the alley and got a pull up bar and gave away.  The pan that Rita gave me I gave away.  Got two tubs for Farmers Market as ours were cracking.  Also got two huge rolls of toilet paper, so I am going to figure out how to use them,

Kurt came home from Yeye's when Violet came back.  She said her windshield was cracked from last Thursday or something like that when we had a wind storm,  

We started listening to Pastor Thrash and I fell asleep.  HAHAHA  Will try again later

Nice Saturday THEN TYLER SHOWED UP

 I did the sheets, and we walked the dog.  Gracie is such a sweetheart.

Kurt would not get up at Yeye so we went over there and yelled at him.

KR went to Farmers Market.  I went around to get stuff, like light bulbs and a Virgin Mary.

KR took a nap.  

KR wanted to go diving and Tyler called yesterday and said he wants to come out to pick up his drums.  He was suppose to arrive at 5 30, but at 5 45 I told KR to go.  He went to Indicator and got three bugs.  Tyler finally showed up at 6 30 and we got into it.  He wanted to bring the crate in and keep Toby in the crate.  I told him KR and I both told him that Toby needs to go with him, NOT locking him in the crate or chain him somewhere.  He started going off about all the nasty stuff he said, I finally said that he can either take Toby with him or just not come in at all.  He ranted and raved, and finally went to "BAND practice", whatever that is.  At Jacob B's house.

Tyler said he had left the snaps to his crate here last time.  Halloween, and I remembered a bag of snaps.  I finally found then,  I didn't know they were for his crate.  At least I didn't throw them out.  Of course he does not say THANK YOU

KR came home and we froze the three bugs.  We went to bed.  Don't know when Tyler came back but he was pretty quiet.

BLACK Friday

 Well, no one was open on Thursday night.  I guess the pandemic was good for family dinner, except too many people were afraid and ate alone.  That makes me sad.

We got up and I changed the sheets, but forgot to wash them.  Kurt was suppose to be up, and Yeye refused to eat breakfast, saying something about he can fix his own.  KR tried to fix the heater, it would not work yesterday, but still no go.  

Bill Johnson came over about noon and gave KR several shirts and a vest that was too small.  We went to Claudia's about 4, and she went to pick up Morgan, who had spent a week in Chicago.  We had great dinner, mixed baked vegetables, ham, two kinds, corn chowder, empanada, potatoes, noodles and sauce.  

We came home and went to bed.

I had a terrible dream, frustrating.

Lovely and some other people, maybe KR and I were on a tour of some place and I was following them, and they went ahead and disappeared.  I spent the whole time looking for them, and I was so mad, I think I threw something at Lovely.  Yelling at her for disappearing and just left me  oh my

GOBBLE GOBBLE DAY 2020

 I had to get up two or three times to pee.

Kurt had wanted to do the Turkey Trot, so I woke him while KR went to check the surf, and we went to Sam's Club to do the 'virtual' Trot.  There were at least 50 people there, with George Chen and a bunch.  We sang the Stars Spangled Banner, I waved a flag and 8 am we were off.

I have not ran that fast in a long time.  3 miles about 30:50, with Kurt beating me just a little. 

We came home and I cleaned the table and set up for tonight's dinner.  KR made the apple and apple/apricot pies, and took a nap.  Kurt folded the laundry, and gamed.  I got the giblets from Chuck and cooked it for Gracie

2 pm and KR picked up the bird.  As soon as he opened the bag, the burnt odor drifted up.  He tried carving it and the back just cracked in two.  Way over cooked.

We served it anyway.  Mimi came with Den, he made home made  cranberry sauce and a pumpkin moose cake.  Very nice guy.  There were 8 of us.  Three here, Brain, Violet, Dad, Mimi and Den.  Tyler did not make it.

We used FINE china and waterford.  Eating started at 3 and we were done in by 5.  Cleaned up and Violet took Yeye back and put him to bed and we cleaned up and went to bed.  We tried listening to a sermon, but KR passed out, in the middle of the sermon.  I just turned it off and went to sleep.

It was a very good meal.  Even though the  bird was overcooked.

Working for Megha Wednesday 11/25/2020

 So Megha took the day off and I worked for her.  7 45 am and it is me and Kim and Yvonne and Nic Stevens.  It was a slow day and Nic left about 9 30 about his daycare person for his son closing early. I had time to go to El Super to buy avocados and guava pastries.  

Lunch time I walked three miles and went back to work.  2 pm to 4 30, the two at 4 pm did not show up.

KR had made the pie crusts and was ready to go for the apple and apple/apricot pies tomorrow

He was walking Gracie when I got home, and blew .01 BAC even though he had THREE beers, one of which was 9% or something

I went to dad's to get the pesto, and ate a little and went to bed.

One patient ABBY BROWN Tuesday

 So we go walk the dog at the fire road.

Then I am off to work, KR goes surfing.  Kurt and KR goes to Farmers Market, and we get twenty thousand kale, and I start packing and giving away.  Kurt then says, "Hey, lets go for a run !!"  I deliver some kale at dad's and we go around the park.  He can run short distance fast but not long.  He did a mile in 8.5 minutes, while I struggled with 12.  We did 2.17 miles at 11 23 per mile.  Well, let's say, I did it real slow.

I then rode to Jon to deliver kale.  I made it about a mile and KR called and said I left the kale in the garage.  I DID  I turned around and came home and then went there.  It was sunny but got cold in the afternoon. 

Weather today was 68, low of 52, now at 7 30 57.

Doug came by and had a little chat.  

KR went to Mark's to deliver some fish and other foods.  Sarah Phan is such an amazing cook, we get so much food from them.  Today was bitter melon soup, rigatoni, fish with noodles, meat balls, and stewed chicken.

I gave Violet 500 today.  Bank would not give me more from ATM.  I have to go into the bank and get that figured out.

Also cannot get MediCal to figure out dad's food stamps, that he is paying more for "rent" and he only gets 108 dollars a month.  NOT RIGHT

Monday THANKSGIVING WEEK

 KR went surfing and I spent couple of hours cleaning to get ready for Andreas and Mirabel.  He had Zoom first.  Good thing when Kurt is at dad's, KR does not vape as much.

I went to Sarah's and picked up the oxtail soup, and drop off at Yeye and Mimi and dad ate the whole thing.  RED, Harry's look alike was there of course,  I printed a picture of Gracie but dad refused to paint her as he said Gracie was not looking at the camera and he could not do it.

REALLY????

I rode around the alleys, and we went for a walk at Fire Road

Joann dropped off some scones.  SO YUM

I cleared a bunch of stuff from our garage to mom's garage.  Just too much to clean before turkey day.

Andrea and Maribel came to clean.  Always love it when they come.  They got the dining room chairs cleaned up and the cushions dusted.  KR started putting the curtain rod on and scraped the ceiling a bit and had to paint a little and will be done tomorrow.  The curtains look great.

We went to bed pretty early.

Church on Sunday

 Kurt fed Yeye and brought him over.  He took a shower and we all went over to church.  Paul's msg on Timothy.

Then it was PESTO time.  I made a lot of pesto, with basil from Farmers Market yesterday.  KR made bean soup and drank at least 6 oz of bacardi rum.  Patty came over and brought us some chicken broth, and I gave her some pesto.

Jon Liu came by for some soup and pesto.  Also gave them the Christmas rotating light.

Cooking Saturday

 We walked the dog to the park and KR went to KHC to pick up food for the homeless. 

Miguel said his friends in the mobile home cannot cook, so KR cooked the ham and beans and potatoes and stuffing and pumpkin muffins.  Took hours.

Farmers market yield a LOT of basil so I went to Costco to print some pictures for yeye and to buy Parmesan cheese and olive oil.  It was very busy.  I didn't even look at the toilet paper. 

NEWSOM said curfew starting today 10 PM  so so sad that more closing down again.

We went to PIE and a PRAYER in the YMCA lot, with Saddleback Church.  Got two slices of each apple and pumpkin.

Kurt has been at Yeye from Friday night and will be there through Monday morning.

We also brought two servings to the guy living in the back of Sizzler restaurant.

We called for Kurt and Yeye to come over for dinner and dad was in one of his mood, and refused to come and KR got mad as he spent so much time making the dinner, so we ate and then brought the dinners over there for dad and Kurt,  He ate it all after we left, Kurt said.

One patient Friday CHRIS CANNON

 Chris had called me last week and wanted to get his teeth cleaned.  I had agreed to go clean Kady Newgard's apartment today, so we decided to go after my work.

Chris has some bad luck with his teeth.  Several internal resorption on lower and upper teeth.  Barry Johnson and Keith Komatsu did implants and he has a weird crown on #11 that Christine Varwig did, the shape is just a little off to me.

Afterward, KR met me at Kady's and we started.  THE APARTMENT LOOKED LIKE A BOMB WENT OFF !!!  There were three years of grime on the closet tracks in all the rooms and we asked Kurt to come as a Thanksgiving community service.  He REFUSED.  He did sweep and do a little at the house.

KR went home at 2 15 and I stayed until 4 30.  It was exhausting work.  Caleb and Kady were painting and cleaning.  I am going over there to pick up our vacuum and stuff.

I went over to the Gooch' to drop off Stephen's 50 dollar gift card for his CITIZENSHIP

We had zoom with the gang,  Was so so nice to 'see' everyone

I was exhausted.

Slow work Thursday

 AHHHHHH  it is actually Monday morning and I had forgotten to blog for days and days

I got to work on time, and it was a slow day.

6 45 - 12 30

Did NOT stop at El Super, cannot eat all that guava pastries

Came home and KR and Kurt were home.  He did not have 'Kurtis Day" yesterday at Corrina's

Mark came over with a small calico and then he said he was going to Santa Barbara but then he came back with the larger calico  I drove the small one to Sarah and then went over there to switch the fish.  Violet got the smaller one and Sarah got the larger one.

Easy Wednesday

 I had to get up and pee THREE times last night, and then the cough woke me up at 3 30 so I didn't get up until almost 7

We went down to the beach to walk the dog.  

Kurt finally mopped the floors in the afternoon, after I nagged hm.  He did not go up the hill to swim at Christina and Johann.  I went for a FOUR MILE RUN.  My hip was whinging but hey, 14 minute mile.  So so slow.  

KR went to Costco and had only ONE beer.

We had left over and I cooked some RICE balls.  I love that stuff, a little too much.

Watched SBCC sermon.  You Matter No Matter What  Yes, people matter to me

We heard this morning that Maribel's brother Martin died either today or yesterday from Covid, and they were collecting money.  We donated 200 so Marjorie can go shopping for the four families as they are all quarantine and then to plan for funeral.  Her dad is also in the hospital with Covid and she is very close to him.  I feel so so bad for them.  Dr Sata said after the grocery run, they still had 1000 dollars to donate towards the funeral.  Wow, they can't even plan until all are out of quarantine

We went to bed by 8 30.

I asked Violet to stay until Friday night, and we told Kurt to register for school, winter quarter. 

Consultating Tuesday 11/17/2020

 So Adam Chen wanted to know if I can go out to El Monte to see if the Western U clinic there can use the XDR sensors.  They will pay me 500 big ones for today's work.  Yes I will work, and more gigs please.

KR went to walk Gracie and I went to donate food at Saddleback and then to Mary's for the shield she borrowed, in case Doug Yoon needs it.  Then I drove to El Monte, and met Doug.

The Western U pedo clinic is in a large group of building, that has preschool, etc, and the chairs and set up are interesting.  They use the Nomad and XDR just sent them a loaner sensor.  They didn't have any bitewing tabs that can work with sensors.  The instructor was kind of not knowing how to deliver a flipper a student was trying to do, and another student could not get anesthesia, this 7 year old would not let him.  I just felt like they did not have a lot of instruction at this clinic.  Doug got the sensor to work, was the port that was the issue and I demo two pictures, and it was good pictures.  

Then we went out to shawarma place to have lunch.  Then I drove home.  I stopped at 99 Ranch for some fermented rice and black jelly drink, which I delivered to yeye's and saw him painting the gourds.  

Came home and KR and Kurt had gone surfing and they were warming up in the garage.  It was a beautiful warm day, and then the fog came in and dropped about 10 degrees and was COLD.

Noon was 75 and 3 was 59  WOW

Kurt had tutoring with Mia and then to D & D.  He got a check for $720 yesterday.  Yes !!!!

Monday WHAT a blessing

 We got up early, as usual, and I went to feed dad.  He had just gotten up.  KR had zoom with the guys.  Mimi came with RED, or Real Estate Dog, which looks like Harry, as a baby.  A chow puppy, so cute, and just so hairy and wanted to bite as he was teething.

I got home and KR took Gracie to the vet for her eyes, and I went to Mike Hopkin office and to Trent's and to Trotter.  Got some small stick on's from Hopkins.  They are so so nice. I came home, and we went on a bike ride.

IT WAS 89 DEGREES TODAY !!!!

We rode from Ave I to El Porto.  What a nice day.

We came home and I went to ES Chen's to get some food, then to Daynah for food and then Kady N came by with bags and bags of food.  We have so much stuff I am going to donate to the food bank bomorrow

KR and Kurt wrestled in the den, and KR beat Kurt, barely, but still.  Not bad for 63 vs 23

We went to bed pretty early

Pastor Thrash called and checked up on us.

Church on Sunday

 I got over there by 6 45 and dad was painting outside, on the ostrich egg doing some bas-relief again, of the two ostriches.

We go to church.

I think last night at 3 30 Kurt was still up, and he told me in Chinese, "there is a girl here" and this morning he says I must have been dreaming it.

He was not late to church.

After, we dropped Yeye off and we come home and work around the house.  Kurt took care of him all day.  Max went over to borrow his car to move some furniture.  Max moved to Hermosa Beach.

I told Violet until Kurt finds a full time job, he is going to work Friday and Saturday so we can pay him some of the money we will be paying Violet.  Warren said he is paying 375 towards dad's care.

So Mimi has Monday, Violet will be here Monday afternoon til Thursday night, then Kurt has Friday through Saturday night.  Then Sunday after church.  

Saturday 11/14/2020

 It was 48 this morning.  COLD

We walked the dog at the beach and KR went to KLUB, with Bubba and Matthew.  I went to the Farmers Market with Kurt.  Not much to eat.  No 16 cantaloupes this week.  After KR came back, he took a nap and I rode around, dropping off the slide rule and the protractor to Naby.  Yoshiun also dropped off some paints.

Violet told me that Warren had been bugging her to get a will,  After several lengthy conversations with them both, Warren said that Violet already had a will and that the house goes to Mimi and he gets the life insurance, but he is paying the premium,  

I told them both that I will take care of dad no matter what,  When IHSS starts there will be plenty of money to pay for it all  So I guess in the mean time we are paying all, and Mimi comes once a week.  I just don't understand that family.  Guess it is not my place.

Kurt went out on a date with the same short Japanese girl that he met on Tinder.

I wonder  if he has a job next week

SEEINg Mom B and Aunt Ethel

 We decided last night to go see Mom B and Aunt Ethel.  KR walked the dog while I did laundry, changed the sheets and removed the dog ear blood from the sheets.

We left for Rancho Bernardo with Gracie.  Adam called on his way home to Hawaii.  He wanted me to join Doug Yoon and go visit a clinic in El Monte to help them with the sensors, or something like that.

We arrived almost 12 and B and Ethel didn't require us to wear a mask.  We went to Miguel's Mexican Restaurant.  THE FIRST TIME I ATE INSIDE a restaurant since March.  WHOLE eight months.

The food was great and they took home the left over and we did too.

KR cooked the lobster tail we brought down for them.  They will eat it for dinner.  We also played Hand and Foot.  What a weird game.  Wonder who dreamed up those rules.

We left and hit a bit of traffic, arriving home almost 6.

Kurt had gotten his Rona test and was just sitting and doing not much.  I asked him to make our bed, he didn't.  He only brought in two cans,  He had been drinking and watching movies.

He needs to get a job or go to school full time or something.....

We went to bed. 

It was a great day.  So glad we drove down there to visit.

LIGHT working Thursday

 Got to work by 6 45  Schedule light.  Maribel didn't tell me that the repairman Stan was coming from Patterson to fix the vacuum, etc, water line.  The first patient Hugo was a NO GO !!  He had tried with me and was able to get one filling done, and today he just would not cooperate with Dr Nick.

Next one was BRANDON, who was whinging too, and with dad in the room, FINALLY I was able to do #3 OBL, but oh man, he had chucks of tarter on his teeth.  He admitted that he does NOT BRUSH his teeth at night, EXCEPT last night, he did.  Dad saw all the food and stuff we had to clean before we could do anything.  Oh my, these kids

We were done by 10

AND I FOUND MY LIGHT CORD !!!!  The cleaning crew had put the cord on the top of the microwave, and when I was cleaning it, I FOUND IT.

I knew I didn't lose it elsewhere.  I canceled the cord I ordered with Surgitel.

Got home, KR was in Long Beach with the dog.  He did admit he had a beer down there.  He would not blow on the BAC and finally did and said it was within legal limit, so most likely .08 or .07.  I just cannot understand why he needs to drink regularly, to intoxication, and drive !!  AAARRRRGGGG

That gets me so frustrated.

I went over to dad's to get the tarp so I can get some hay or straw or something for the girls.  They went down to San Clemente.  Dad does not like going down there,  Said there are too many white people.

I also got some food from Daynah small cheeseburgers, and porridge from Sarah Phan.  OH YUM

After they came back, I went to visit Yeye and Violet and dad said they had a good time, although no nap.  

KR dove at TA and got  FIVE   lobsters and we gave two to Violet and dad, and Kurt cooked and ate one.

Cooking Away Wednesday Veteran's Day

 I could not wake up, and KR woke me about 6 55 saying WE GOTTA GO WALK THE DOG

Well, ok.  So we were going to go to the BAY, but we drove past the beaches and it was so so nice out, kind of cold, we just walked the beaches.  There were many dolphins out there chasing the bait fish and the pelicans were diving for the fish fighting with the seagulls.

I got home and started cooking stewed tomatoes.  It was a lot of work, and I made almost 6 quarts.  They got given away to BNT.  I didn't can them so they are to be eaten this week.

KR went to feed Nancy as Kurt wanted 12 - 2 off.  He went up to Christina's to swim with the kids and Corrina.

He got home before 8.  WOW

Sarah made beat and tendon soup.  So SO good.

We cut up more cantaloupe and they were all pretty sweet.

KR watched UFC and football.

Two Patients Tuesday

It is very cold this morning.  48  I didn't get up until past 6 15.  KR suggested we go walk the dog, so I drove my car down to office and he picked me up and we walked Gracie at the beach, then I went to work.  First patient was Sarah Phan !!!  She was on time  She had a bunch of tarter on the lower front teeth.  I did a very thorough cleaning and explained how to floss, etc.

The next one was Kimel.  His delivery went well, the thick night guard.  

When I got home, KR had gone to the farmers market.  

IT WAS 28000 cantaloupe and green onions, and tomatoes and so much stuff

I rode over to Eleanor Michael and gave her a bunch of scraps, and to Debbie Jones too.  

Then I went to Jon Liu's with cantaloupe and green onions and lettuce.  He had food surgery today. 

Kurt worked today and asked me or KR to work for him tomorrow 12 - 2 so he can go to Corrina's to do pool before it is too too cold.  Told him to ask pops

He went to D & D

Monday Andrea and Maribel cleaning day

 I go see Yeye and KR goes to get the vape, which I had hidden at his house by the flash light on the counter.  HAHAHA  No one saw it.

He gets cream of asparagus soup and pb & j sandwich.  I do more dish cleaning, and packing a box of the blue plates with gold vein.

Mimi comes at 8.  I do a loud of laundry.  It is really cold today. High temp today was 63, low of 48.  THAT IS COLD from last Thursday high was 88 !!!!!!

Then I go to the office to find my cord to my light.  NOT THERE !  And then I go to Fry's and no cord to buy, then to Best Buy and NO GO.  I had Adele ordered a cord for me, but won't come until tomorrow.  She is in Connecticut.  With Liz, Neil's mom.  

I come home and go to dad's.  Mimi said she left for LA to see her attorney about something and she bought a chow puppy.  Man, I don't know how she is going to take care of a dog.  Sarah gave us some interesting food, wrapped in banana leaf?  He goes to nap and I go home,  Violet comes by 3 and Mimi leaves early.

Kurt works at Nancy's but forgot to warm up the food for her that we made.  The asparagus and the steak with bell pepper.

Sunday and Kurt is madder than.......

 So we get up and Kurt had his 'fireplace' on and I go in to turn it off and KR goes in to find the vape as it was NOT downstairs.

AND I said oh no, you don't have this no more.

I go feed dad breakfast and did the laundry first.  KR goes and walks the dog and then we go to church.  Kurt does NOT show up.  Yeye has no trouble going.  He kept asking for Kurt.

Kurt then goes to KHC and says they would not let him in.  

I take Yeye for newspaper, and then he eats lunch of asparagus soup and Chinese roll, then naps. 

Kurt comes home to tutor Mia, and then back to Yeye.  I drive over to Nancy's she wnted some TP.  I get milk, and beer and vege for KR.  He cooks pepper steak with cream of mushroom soup for Maria W and delivers.  Maria tells Joann and Tony, who then said since KR goes around all kinds of people, the Francis will prolly not be able to go there any more.

JEEZ

Dad starts painting Mini-Moo.  I ran a load of dishwasher all the old plates and stuff.  Trying to ask Lovely if the stuff can be given away.   She wants to keep alot of stuff, and I just don't

It is so very windy today, and tonight.  The rain fell VERY little.

I went running, 5K but actually a little longer.  Forgot to turn the watch on.  13.15 min mile  so slow

BIDEN WINS WE HAVE A NEW PRESIDENT AND SOME RAIN

 The day dawns cold, and started raining by 8 or so.

We drove up to the fire road and it didn't rain, although it was pouring right before we left.

Then it was house work time.  KR and Kurt went to the farmers market.  More asparagus, and he bought me some jujubes, was not as good as last week.

The news gave Biden the presidency, although James says that Gore had thought he had won in 2000 and Bush sued and Florida turned over to him, but their electoral votes were very close so that is not the case here.

Then I was on the phone with Frontier Communications for 45 MINUTES !!  They sent me a bill for dad for NOVEMBER !!!   REALLY???

Then she hung up on me.

Oh man

KR put on a fire, was that cold.

I rode around, then went for a run around the neighborhood.

Kurt says he still employed this week.

One Patient Friday

I had several patients, but Kimel rescheduled and I tried to get Faye to come in, as next week no good.

I went and saw Jesse and cleaned his teeth.  I could not find the cord to my light so I borrowed Will's.  Hope he didn't get mad.

I also did laundry and washed the sheets, clean of Gracie's bloodied ear.

KR had one large beer.  Smelled like two during Zoom.

I rode around to the bank and got Violet some money, 500 big ones.

KR slept for over 2 hours, ate left over and we had our bible study.

Kurt worked at Nancy's and Bill said that he is switching to 24 hour of Agency care.  Does that mean he is no longer employing Kurt?  Said last week he was going to keep Kurt.  Boy, I guess Kurt needs to figure out his own working schedule.

I just feel that Bill is not too cool with telling him one thing and then doing something else. 

Unique said that she found out today that Bill didn't want her to come to work.  WHAT the heck, last minute telling someone not to come, and that I FOUND her for him???

Sometimes no good deed goes unpunished.

Easy working Thursday

 The last two weeks have been pretty slow.  Which is good.  Dr Nick Stevens is pretty good.  I let him do some fillings today, and the one on Arne Sanberg #8 MIL turned out pretty good.  We got done by 1 and I got home.  Of course KR was asleep, two beers later.

I pulled out some stuff, like our old phone system, and the laminating machine and hair dryer to give away.  And also posted the boysenberry plants and the raspberry plants.  They are all out front to be gone.

The trash man did not take the green can   Guess we had it too close to Martin's car.  They are so weird.  Not seeing Martin for days, and the house they live in is such a mess, all cluttered with stuff,

We drove down to the beach to watch the sunset.  

Dinner was leftover.

OFFICE meeting Wednesday

 Election results not in for POTUS.  Some local results are in.

I cleaned more vegetables and KR walked Gracie and then picked up the Ensure from Maria Cusick of BNT.  So much good stuff.

I let the broth cool when I went to office meeting, and strained to make cream of asparagus soup.

The meeting was good  We did well in production for October.  Got done and left at 11.  Went to El Super, and got some guava pastries.

Pulled out a bunch of stuff from mom's garage, like the Christmas stuff I found in the alley a long time ago and now someone wants them.  

TUESDAY AND IT IS ELECTION DAY

 SO TODAY                    ELECTION TUESDAY

KR got up first and I didn't make it up until after 6.  We had already voted.  We went down to the beach and walked Gracie.  Saw Natalie.  Her cat is sick.  Pray for the cat.

Kurt was actually a few minutes early.

We stopped at Will's and picked up my paycheck.

KR went to farmers market and it is BEET city plus asparagus.  I cooked a bunch and gave away a lot of food.  With chicken food for Eleanor and Debbie Jones, I rode to their houses.  

I gave some to Grace, some to Sarah and then she cooked a lot of soup.  I put it on the stove overnight so to make bone broth.

We went to bed not knowing the result.

Monday November already, POST daylight savings

 So I go over to dad's and it is foggy.  He gets up about 7 30 and I was cleaning all kinds of stuff.  Found Lovely's photos from 1982 along with Eddie and James.  Where was mine?  No idea

Mimi comes about 8 and I go home.  We went and walked the dog.  Gracie started shaking her head and the ear bled AGAIN.   Natalie, of the dog treats, gave her TWO TREATS !!!!  

Kurt went to work, said it was foggy so he was late.

I paid Shawn, the plumber, and he was kind of upset, KR thinks because I forgot.  I went through some of dad's photos.  He finished the bas-relief of Gracie, but it looked like ANOTHER HARRY !!

I went over there at 4 30 and dad didn't say that Mimi was sent by the government.  Violet came by 6 and brought a LOT OF FOOD,  Fried fish and meat stew and tofu, etc,  She wanted me to drop off some for Sarah so I did.  Sarah also said she cooked bitter melon soup and told me to come tomorrow.

I had a chat with Will about 4 pm.  I told him I didn't want to pay the full 100% of lab fee and that it was not fair that I make less than the hygienists.  He said that Magda was coming on board full time Monday through Thursday and he will close Friday again.  DARN  He said he will look at lab bills and get back to me.

I went to bed before KR and slept for about 10 hours. !!!

Tyler leaves Sunday

 I got to Yeye's and he didn't want to eat breakfast.  I had to have some lobster soup with him.  KR picks him up for church, and I come back to change.  Tyler was just packing up.  Said he and Courtney had to be in Arizona, where they are looking for an apartment.  Wonder why he drove the extra five hours just to spend one night. 

I am glad he is leaving.

Did not feel safe with his dog and my poor Gracie and the cats.

We go to church and then Kurt takes Yeye to go on a drive.  Went up to Grandma B's old house.  Got sold in 2013 by Diane, and 2016 again, and over 2 million dollars !!

I go to Nancy's and introduce her to Unique who got there at 4 pm.  She has 4 - 8 shift today and 4 - 10 rest of the week.

We had minute steaks for dinner and KR drank three glasses of white wine and went to bed at 6 30, and IT IS DAY LIGHT SAVINGS 

Kurt was gaming there all night.  Dad did not want to eat dinner, said he can just eat bread and soy sauce???  We had to trick him into eating something.  Like a fish sandwich  So he ate the three pieces of bread with the meat floss and the fish sandwich.

Saturday HALLOWEEN

 So we are hoping or trick or treater today but alas......

Tyler calls and he and Courtney and Toby will be here about 12 30.  We go walk the dog.  It was foggy here but not down at the beach.

Tyler arrives about 1 30 and Toby is a rambunctious dog.  Little did I know

They go out for a bit and was going to go to Jacob's for some band practice.  KR goes to Farmers market and then takes a nap before they show up.

Then KR gives Toby a little food in Gracie's bowl.  Toby goes out and Gracie goes over for a sniff.  TOBY ATTACKED GRACIE and bit a chunk of her ear off.,  The BLOOD just drip all over.  Poor Gracie.  She got some lacerations on her lip/chin area too.  We tried getting the blood to stop.  Called Dr White, but their office was closing in a few minutes.  We called Lawndale vet and then decided that we should just bandage up the ear and get her some augmentin.

Gracie shakes her head and the blood was just all over my car and the carpet etc. 

We had to go pick up Bubba so we take Gracie and then go through the YMCA drive through for candy.  We come home and Tyler and Courtney and Toby are gone.  Bubba and KR eat dinner and then go to the neighborhood.  I wait for some or ANY TRICK OR TREATER.  

WE ONLY HAD ABOUT 10 and I am so sad that kids cannot go out, but people can go to Costco and other places.

Bubba and KR come home, and he drives Bubba home.  We tried to rebandage Gracie but she keeps taking the bandage off.  We finally just put some bedding on the floor and went to sleep with Gracie on her bed so she won't get the new clean sheets all bloody.

It was a hard night sleep

ONE patient Friday

 Guess KR thought of his behavior ought to stop so he started being nice again.

We went and walked the fire road

I went to work.  Seeing Kimel for night guard impression

Then I went running   5 K at a very slow pace of 13 55 per minute.  SO SO SLOW

Then I went to Nancy's.  Adeli was coming and she and I washed Nancy's hair and Bill came with a bunch of food.  

I text Unique to come and help.  She will start this Sunday at 4 - 8 and then Monday through Thursday 4 - 10 at 16 dollars an hour.

KR cooked a shrimp/scollops thing and Chris Cannon came by and picked up some lobsters and we got more food from Sarah and I brought some over to dad and Violet

Thursday and Lou got fired

 I get to work by 6 45 and got finished by 1.  

IT WAS SLOW at work, has been really busy lately and now slow.  Dr Nick is the new intern.  Better than Tony Ly but still talks too much.

Since Bill text me that Nancy didn't like Lou who hovered too much, according to Nancy, I went over there and stayed with her from about 4 - 8.  

I tried to text Kurt that I was on my way and HE WAS ASLEEP.  Nancy could not wake him up until I text her to RING THE BELL.

Jojo the night time care person also text me a bunch of weird stuff about how she is just there taking care of Nancy and that I should not be telling her what to do???   I was very confused.

I went to bed.  KR went diving again.  GOT FOUR LOBSTERS

Wednesday

 What did I do?

We go to Rosie's in the morning.  We talk about the election first and since I voted or Biden, mostly against Trump, KR decides NOT TO TALK TO ME for a day and a half.

We come home and he ignores me and I go running.

Kurt works at Nancy and then goes to Johann and Christina's.  They go to Taco Bell for free tacos.  I forgot if the Dodgers steal a base, there is free taco.

I go to the one on Sepulveda as he said the one on Calle Mayor was just crazy.  They eat in the back of the truck and he gets home early.  BUT NOT TO SLEEP early.

KR goes diving.  I go see Nancy

New Student for Kurt Tuesday 10-27-2020

 I didn't get up until past 6 30.  Kurt was last minute AGAIN !!!  He can be so so exasperating.

We go walk the dog at the beach, and then KR went to get his parking license.  After he came back, we rode to Nancy's and back.  Ben Yong sent two workers who were here from about noon to 6 !!!

KR went to Farmer's Market.  Lots of watermelon, and cantaloupe, some corn.  I cleaned the garage for Mia, Kurt's new Algebra 2 student, Mia.  Sarah Phan's friend's daughter.  First hour, 25 dollars.  5 30 - 6 30.  

World Series, game 6.  If the Dodgers win tonight they win the series, if not, then the Rays will have to win the next TWO.

So they win the series and of course the fire works started.

Cloudy Monday PLUS LOTS OF ASH

 It was cold last night.  I got to Yeye's by 7 and he was not awake.  I sang : sky is light, waking up the pig song in Chinese.  Seems like he is less agitated if I start off with a song.

Mimi came at 8.  She said she was going to go to Los Angeles to pick up paperwork for something.  She got dad the newspaper and some meat patty.  She cooked him a burger for lunch.

Dad ate a LOT of breakfast.  Eggs, a peanut butter and jam sandwich, some tea and persimmon plus kiwi.

KR and I walked Gracie and then to Michael's to buy some canvas for him to paint.  The lobster picture morphed into a Harry bas-relief and now he is going to do Gracie bas-relief.

Kurt went to Nancy's and then he drove to Kaiser Sunset where they took out 30+ staples.

He then drove Nancy home and stayed until 4.

I went over to Yeye's as Mimi usually leave around 4 15 and VIOLET was there  YEAH !!!  She brought duck and other food, pomelo for KR.  We had some chat and I came home.

NO CHURCH FOR ME Sunday PLUS rain !!!

 So I go to dads about 7 and he is not up.  Then he gets up and has breakfast.  I clean the patio and sweep and clean top of doors, etc.

KR comes and I go home to change for church.  Jesse came over to go to church with us and to eat.  WELL, dad says his knee hurts too much and is not going.  I go over there and tried to talk him into going.  HE GOES ON AND ON AND ON about how he watched me and saw that I was cleaning and dusting and sweeping and is YI BAI FUN, which means ONE HUNDRED POINTS!  Or A+ or the best or something like that.

Geez, he can go on and on.

So I clean out the photos and then met the three, Kurt, Jesse and KR at Hof's Hut.

IT RAINED A LITTLE TODAY  We had a great lunch.

Kurt took the left over to Yeye and he ate it, then I rode my bike to Mary's and drop off the new waterpik toothbrus she wanted.

I rode to Nancy and met the new girl Cindy.

Came home and the Dodgers played.  KR went to the Apologetics conference at Branch of Hope

We got a lot of food from Saray.  Pho and beef stew, etc.

Saturday

 Woke up gray and drizzly.  WOW  I had about almost 10 hour sleep last night.  Went to bed about 9 and got up at 6 30.  Did a load o laundry.  Sheets day.  KR left for the conference.  Kurt passed out about maybe 6 and slept all the way through to the morning.  I tried to get him to brush his teeth.

KR returned from the conference and he and Kurt went to the Farmer's Market.  We didn't get much.  I went to Eleanor's and gave her some chicken scraps.  After KR ate we went for a bike ride.  Ave C to El Porto.  It was cloudy and gray sky, but not cold.  We rode about an hour.

Dodgers Game tonight.  We ate more Sarah food.  Also got some patties, milk and stuff from Naby.

DODGERS LOST IN THE LAST OUT OF THE LAST INNING WITH TWO ERRORS !!!!!!

Nancy is doing ok, pain this morning, but the Norco is helping.  Wish Adeli English was better but she took good care of Nancy.

I did another load of laundry.

Mens conference Friday 10/23/2020

 We went to walk the dog and Kurt was almost late.  I told him to give notice if he was not going to go to work on time.  He arrived at Nancy's street at 7 56, and I said why show me proof you were late?

We walked the dog down at the beach.

KR went back to Redondo business office and got his yearly sticker.

He drank a 24 oz beer and GOT nasty, well sort of nasty.

When he drinks, he is not as nice.  I was watching the video on IHSS site and he started talking.  Usually he is more polite and observant and will not interrupt me twice in a row.  He then threw the dishes I put in the dishwasher out, as he did NOT like the way I lined them up in there,

The he tried to take Gracie for a walk to the park, but she would not go so he came home and took his bike out for a ride.  I went for a ride too, and got four bags of recycling for New Horizon.

I went over to Nancy's at 2, after buying milk and prune juice.  Kurt left at 2.  Adeli will be there from 3 pm today, Friday to 3 pm Sunday.  Two 24 hour shifts.  She is so nice.  Nancy said she cleaned the kitchen floor, and will clean more tomorrow.

Right now it is 6 - 1 DODGERS  !!

He left for the Men's Conference at KHC.  Came back at about 9 15  said only about 65 attended.

I went to Yeye's to bring them soup and pills.

Working Thursday

 Got to work by 6 45 and was finished at 1 pm

Busy today and Tony Ly's last day.  I let him do two class 2 fillings today, and he is a bit slow, but ok.

KR went to lunch with Danny and Howard. 

Tonight was the presidential debate.  WITH A MUTE BUTTON by the moderator.

I made smoothies for Nancy.  

Wednesday

 Kurt works 8 - 2.  He is barely on time.  That boy

2 - 5 is Bill and I have 5 - 8  Jojo has 8 - 8

The PA called Bill at the agreed time of 2 pm.  The doctor was suppose to call at 3 10 and didn't call until about 5 20.  Over two hours late.

Kurt went to Corrina's and had a swim or something.  We had left over

Tuesday JUST ONE PATIENT

 Today is already Thursday so thinking about Tuesday is a chore.....

Kurt did not work for Nancy and Jojo came at 9 pm.  Lou, Gina's friend came at 9 am - 9pm.  She is very nice.  

We went to Yeye for dinner,  Violet came early and she then made delicious broccoli beef and fried rice and we bought shrimp from Seafood Town.  

They went down to the beach.  Dad loves going down there.

Bill Mustard is paying them 20 bucks an hour.  Me NO PAY but all good

Monday

 I left about 6 to get the walker and some other stuff.  

I GOT A TICKET !!!  PARKING  DARN

Then Jojo came and she is coming this week.  I was on the phone for hours with Gina and Jowell and Adeli trying to figure out how to get the schedule to work out.  The agency girls cannot change or take off Nancy's neck brace thingy.  Jojo did give Nancy a sponge bath. 

I left about 10 30.  Went to Costco, but the machine had a hard time getting Gracie's picture printed for dad to paint.

KR went to dad's and Mimi came and KR had zoom then went surfing.

Kurt painted the door after much prompting.

Then KR went to Chris Cannon's to help him prune trees.

I go back to Nancy at 5 45 and discuss with Kurt what he should do until next morning at 9 am.  I go back to dad's as KR did not want to wait another 30 minutes, so I put dad to bed.  Thank goodness Violet is coming tomorrow. 

Dad said some interesting thing today that Mimi comes because the 'government' requires her to come.  I don't think he thinks she really wants to be there.  Oh my

I come home shower and bed by 9.

Church on Sunday

 I got home and KR had gone to Yeye and got him ready for church.  We got there and Dan Hanaoka was the speaker, we thought he was too too slow.

There was an agency girl from somewhere Bill hired and she left before I got there at 5 45.  Bill was mad

Kurt was with Yeye from after church to dinner.  He took dad for a drive down to the harbor but dad didn't want to eat there.  Kurt wanted to but they came home.

Patton Memorial and Staying at Nancy

 Patton's memorial was today  We walked Gracie at the sand dunes.  Many of Claudia's friends came and there were bubbles, and champagne and dog treats.  We came home and they went to Farmers Market

I had to go to Nancy's by 6.

Bill Mustard called and Nancy's daughter, Donna, became weird and started screaming.  I guess she is bipolar and could not handle doing things for Nancy any more.

I spent the night there, and I was very tired.

Friday

 We got up by 6 and I changed the bedding and did laundry.  KR and I went to the beach to walk the dog, and it was foggy.  Got sunnier soon.  We got the shower chair for Nancy, but they didn't want the porta-potty.  They took the bed rail.  He also went to Mark Paulson's and gave him a lobster and we got some sheephead.  I left my wallet at El Super so I went back there for it.  I left it there after I shopped there yesterday after work.

I dropped off the aluminum pot that KR's mom had and i posted on BNT.  I got a bigger one in the alley.  

We drove down to Will's for reconciliation talk.  His apartment was at least 100 degrees and his hair was long and he was vaping nicotine and I am sure he had a hit or two of pot.  We got past the parenting stuff and he wanted us to change on whether he can smoke pot at our house when he comes to visit.  We said we will table that discussion. 

Supposedly he and Diamond are engaged.

Right

And he said that he is going to TALK to Diamond's parents on letting him smoke dope at THEIR hours too, as it is medication.  

RIGHT !!!!

We got home and had dinner and did ZOOM.  No Donna and Carole left to go see someone who was moving out of the area.

WORKING Thursday

 I was actually up before KR.  5 45 and left on time for work.  It started with a BANG !!  

It was so so busy the first three hours.  I don't know why they make so many patients come at 7 am and 8 am.  Dr Tony was a little help.  I had him cavitron one patient and he said the buildup was LIGHT, and I thought it was heavy.  Man I hope he did a good job.

I had an interview with Medi-Cal and she wanted to know how much was mom paying for rent. 

She will be calling back tomorrow about rent.  What should I say?

KR went diving AGAIN !!  He wants to get more lobsters.  We got more than 10 avocados from Patty Lopez and she said she likes lobsters, so we will get them some.  Kurt mopped the floor and did a little around the house.  No work tomorrow  yeah !!!

KR got 6 lobsters.  We gave Patty Lopez two, Kurt ate one, Sarah got two, and the rest went to the freezer.  Chuck did not want any, Reggie did not want any, nor did Megha.  I forgot they were vegetarian.  

Wednesday

 We go walk the dog and I deposit my ballot.  It is HOT today.

KR tries to go surfing, no go, and goes and sees Bill Johnson who just had neck surgery.  Nancy Mustard is out of the hospital and is at home doing well.  Her son Bill calls me.  Her daughter Donna will be staying with her.

KR gave two lobsters to Gary the bike guy and goes for a swim with Kurt.  I do alot of paperwork, and paid dad's bills:  phone, gas, electricity, and tried to get his Medi-Cal straightened out.  Lots of time on the phone.  Violet takes dad down to the beach with dinner.  They love going down there

Sarah cooked more food, some Vietnamese soup and then Royale dropped off a whole pizza from Chuck E Cheese, I think the kids want cheese pizza and it is buy one get one free and the adults don't want to eat them.  KR and Kurt had half of it, and finished her brisket and the noodles from Sunday Mimi's cafe.  WOW so much food. 

We still have the lobster tail.

KR met Gary and gave him two lobsters and some onions and cereal.  

Kurt's last day if officially today.  Friday he is dropping off Florian and picking him up in Pedro and having lunch then he is OFFICIALLY unemployed.  Said he would pick up Instacart hours.  Right

I got to bed early ready for tomorrow

Tuesday go to work

 Sarah made the fish head with mushroom and noodles and ginger and it was so so amazing.

Violet gets dad to drink the stuff for the CT scan with contrast.  She is really good with him.  I see Mable Duncan at 10 am and I was late.  I could not find my light.  I left it in Lawndale.  KR goes to Farmer's Market and gets 85 almost bunches of carrots.  I post them and most are gone.

Shawn drops off the bill.  HAHAH  Rita's bill is 50 and ours is 85.  She has more money than we do.I also post the large six foot table, and three people want it.

It was HOT HOT and HOT again.  KR goes diving and catches the limit.  HE LOVES DIVING

We drop off 2 at Sarah's.  It is their anniversary.  We boil two and will eat one tomorrow.  One is for Yeye and Violet.

We didn't go to bed until about 10 30

Monday was so long ago

 It is now Wednesday and if I don't post, I HAVE NO IDEA 

I go to dad's and get the kitty litter box over here and posted them online. I also do several loads of laundry.  Mimi shows up about 8 15.  I got to dad's at 6 45  He was not mad or angry.  I also posted the feet board that mom had on  BNT.  Someone will pick it up I am sure. 

After Mimi leaves I take dad out for a walk.  He uses the walker, the blue one. I give him dinner and go some paperwork.  He goes to bed.  It was HOT HOT and HOT TODAY  91

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US !! 35 YEARS

 Well, we made it to 35 years.  Oh wow.  I got up in the middle of the night to write a card.  KR also got a kitty card and wrote some really nice words.  

We had Yeye care and I went over there for breakfast.  I brought the gourds and dad started thinking about either hanging them or painting them,  He said cannot have just FOUR, so I need to find some more.  KR came over and picked up dad while I went home to change and we were at church. 

KR took Yeye to get a paper and then Kurt went there.  I went to Target, NO gourds, and then to Michaels', only plastic ones and not many.  I bought two and went there and dad started talking about the way they should be hung.  I wanted them painted.  I think he gets so forgetful sometimes.

Kurt spent the afternoon there, and when dad was napping, he came back and washed his and my cars.

We tried to go to Hof's Hut for dinner, line too long.  Gaetano's line was too long too, so we went to Mimi's.  Meal was great.  Dad didnt eat much, it seems.  We took him back and then Kurt stayed there until he went to bed and we came home.  We also listened to a sermon by Pastor Thrash this afternoon.

KR lit off several fireworks, and Patty and Steve came out for a look see.  Patty was looped.  So fun.

Saturday

 We got up early.  Since my run last night I didn't have to get up and pee.  WOW, what a relief

KR and I walked the dog to dad's to give them some bananas.  Dad wanted to eat cookies for breakfast.  Just so the 'older' food gets eaten.  He is possibly more thrifty than I.

Then he put the bike back rack on my bike and picked up Bubba for Club.  Matthew is in Arizona or something like that for a baseball tournament.  KR didn't stay for Klub.  Just took Bubba out to eat when they were done.  Bubba didnt' want to go down tot he beach for a beach day.

I clean and clean and did two loads of laundry.  KURT DRANK ALL DAY  BAD BAD

He said he was depressed or cannot talk and was not too sure about his direction.  Jeez He spoke to Doug last night about a job on the platform.  We think he should go but he didn't want to give up

But his job is ending and he does not have another job lined up, so what is he going to do?  Who knows

We tried to get hin to go on a bike ride but he said no.  We went down to Ave C and rode to Manhattan Beach.  We saw Yeye and Violet at the pier by Kincaid's restaurant.

Dinner was brussel sprouts for me and swedish meat balls for KR

It is getting dark early.

LOBSTERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 KR got up at O Dawn 30 and drove down to Kings Harbor to go diving.  He comes back with 5.  He gave 2 to Mark, and we distributed them.  Two for Yeye and Violet, two for Sarah Phan, and one for Grace/Rocky.  I bring the two over to Yeye and he was so thrilled to have them.  

We walked Gracie down at the beach.  KR ate and went to bed.  I did a whole lot more of sorting and cleaning.  MUST BE RUTHLESS and get rid of stuff.  There is still one table at mom's garage to get rid of.  

Went over to Yeye's and Mimi and John had come over for lunch and Violet cooked up a storm.  Made lobster soup, etc.  In the afternoon she took dad to the pier and walked around, and had a great time.  Dad seems to be adjusting to the new location .

I changed our sheets and did a loud of laundry.

We met Gary and exchanged the wheel.  He seems to be a real bike man.  He also went out fishing and really like KR's story of the lobsters.  KR and I went for a ride around the neighborhood.  

I did a half hour translation for Eliot Krieger who had a client Chan who was caught up by the FBI regarding counterfeit goods shipped from China.  It was a bit difficult.  I had to use Google translate.

We had Zoom.  I went for a 2 mile run right before and took a shower.  Everyone showed up.  It was a good discussion.

Working Thursday

 WOW I missed posting and it is now Saturday morning

So I go to work and Maribel is not feeling too well.  The schedule is just crazy for a few hours.  Clay Miles is my 8 am and he is just jumping off the wall, and even with gas, NITROUS, he was talking and barking and just moving.  Kim and I were just looking at each other trying to figure out what to do.  No moisture control so just one filling on L and NO SEALANTS

I got done by 12 30 and came home.  KR was DRUNK, well, .09 and rude.  He went to bed for a nap and I just tried to ignore him.  Mark Paulson came over hence KR had THREE .7 beers

The cat was away and the mouse will play.

I went for a ride and adjusted my NEW bike.  It is better, but still needs some work.

KR went to bed early, needs to get up to go OH DAWN 30 with Mark.

I went to see dad, all is well

CPR and work Wednesday

 Dr Sata is still in Detroit, so we have CPR today and and then I have to work in the afternoon.

The last of the cabbage and sprouts went to Grace and Stella this morning.  So much food   And will be more this Saturday

HURRAY no work Tuesday

 So Violet arrives before 7.  Very responsible.  KR goes surfing, or tries.  I do paperwork, and laminated a piece of dad's art work.  Go over there and tries to get dad to give me his denture to repair but he gets mad and says no.  So I don't go.  He takes the ostrich egg and says the plaster is too soft and is coming off.  I think it is coming off because he added a bunch after the plaster had started drying but I don't tell him  I go to Louie's and get him some yellow stone and some green stone and he starts working.

KR didn't surf it was no good  He dug out the fig tree and then to the Farmers Market.  WE GOT SO SO MUCH FOOD, like 20 pounds of brussel sprouts and 8 heads of cabbage and so much wilting asparagus.  I cooked an egg plant and brought a bunch of vege to Yeye's.  Violet made bitter melon soup and said dad really liked it.  

Kurt went to work and was home by 3.  He helped a little with the sprouts.  We went to check out and ended up buying a bike with Gary.  Met him at Starbuck's by SouthBay Galleria.  When we came home we found out that the wheel was a little warped and we are hoping to get another wheel tomorrow.

Jon came by for some zucchini and brussel sprouts and green onions and helped us with the handlebar of the bike.  It is pretty good, maybe no need to get the stem extender.  

Kurt went to D & D.  I am really tired.  Have CPR tomorrow

Mimi Monday and THE CAR IS GONE

 Well, Kurt does NOT HAVE COVID

I knew it, he just has not had enough sleep.

KR went over there by 7 am and fed dad.  I got all the paperwork together and then met Geary Marshall at AAA and did the transfer title.  He paid 15 dollars for the car.  First he asked me if I had the money, then he got it from his on.  I tried to siphon the gas out but I could not and didn't want to suck gasoline fumes.

KR came home and went surfing AGAIN and didn't come home until 1 30 PM.  I rode to Mike and Patty's and dropped off three more Surfers Journal for Lovely.  Forrest is going back to Taiwan tonight really late.  They must really miss him 

Mimi came about 8 am and left by 4, according to dad.  I tried to get her to commit to 24 hours instead of 8 - 4, but she said she cannot.  Just feel like I have so much stuff to do.

I went to Michael's and bought plaster and the cake thing for piping bas-relief.  Took it over to dad's and he started saying that he can mass produce 100 cement eggs for me if I wanted him to do the eggs for SALE????  I think he is really batty sometimes.  I could not figure out how he got the idea that I wanted him to make eggs for sale.  Finally got it through his head to make just ONE eggs with ostrich bas-relief and he started the work.  First he did the piping, and then he just started dipping a chopstick in the muck and painted it on.

Guess you paint a template and all can be done from there.  I just can't paint 

KR came over with dinner and I tried to make dad eat He barely ate a bowl full of food.  KR and Kurt broke up the desk and threw it away.  Tomorrow I will need to rearrange the garage some more.  

Church Sunday

 I didn't get up until 6 30.  Pretty tired.  Went over to Yeye's and decided he should paint the canvas with lobsters.  KR came and picked him up and I went home to dress and we all went to church.  Dan Perkins spoke and I really like what he preached, QUICK TO LISTEN, SLOW to speak, and slow to anger.

I went to Costco to buy a few things and to print out lobster pictures.  Kurt went for a Covid test, saying he has been having diarrhea and congestions.  I looked it up on line, and he went to 510 Prospect.  KR went surfing but no surf, and came home.  He had SOME MORE WINE and ate a subway sandwich and went to nap.

I went for a ride.

We took food to Yeye's for dinner and he seems to hardly eat.  I don't know but seems like he is bloated?  Well we have a CT scan next week.

After dinner Kurt put him to bed and we came home.  I was tired.

Wedding Saturday

 I pay Violet 400 dollars from the first week she worked.  Warren is suppose to pay her the 1000  I hope she does not gamble it away.

It was pretty busy as we had to go to the wedding.  Kurt and KR went to Farmers Market.  Not much there, but a bunch or tomatos.  They re did the compost bins.  I got the internet up, AT&T said suppose to self install but I could not get it to work, and I called again, and they said the installer is COMING over.  Why didn't you say that in the first place???  

We left for Eden and Kristina's wedding, in Rancho Santa Margarita, an hour away.  Wedding was at 3 pm and the car registered 98 degrees.  We sat in the sun was so so hot.  Dove Canyon Courtyard by Marriott.  They served some hors d'oeuvres but the dinner was not served until 5 40.

BUT IT WAS STEAK AND SHRIMP, with potatoes and asparagus, plus dessert bar and of course coffee.  But Maribel called and said her crown #20 came off and wanted me to cement it back.  We met her at the house after we came back and I only had DURELON, so that was it.  Majorie came over and KR offered her some rice wine.  I was mad but could not say anything, as I was trying to get the crown on.

We went to bed and I was pretty tired.

Whittier Friday

 So I was suppose to meet with Valarie by 9 but didn't make it there until 9 30.  I did a load of laundry, changed the sheets and went to dad's to try to get more keys.  Well, I did find all the keys, including the mail key.

Took me about 40 minutes to drive out there.  I brought a bunch of stuff back like the vacuum I have been trying to give away, plus some of dad's dishes and bunch of muffins and cheese sandwiches, which all got taken.  PLUS mom B's ugly/cute lamp.

I had the walk through with Valerie and drove home  It was HOT

I had my appt with Chris Bruno.  After my Wednesday walk about at the pool, my back has been giving me muscle spasm.  He worked on that and I came home to zoom call with Julie and Adele.  Adele is getting SOLAR on her roof

We had dinner and zoom with Mike and family.  Everyone was there except John so it was a very nice meeting. 

Went to bed.  KR started drinking Dad's rice wine.  I think both he and Kurt are drinking too much, like everyday.  Not much but still every day

STILL HOT and working

 Got to work by 6 45 and the girls were already cleaning teeth in the back.

WHAT?

And the heat wave continues, only 93 today

KR gave Dr Tony Ly a nick name. Slow LY  hahaha  get it  He wants to do more but his speed is so slow compared to the rest of his previous classmates that we just don't know what to do.  He said he missed clinic from March 13 to the end of May and then July clinic started again.  We just see him as bit timid and not too aggressive, so we are even hesitant to let him fill after we do the prep.  I must try harder just that I get in a time crunch and he is not very good at even hygiene.  

I sat outside and read the paper for a bit while KR took a nap after he and Gracie went to Rosie's.  IT WAS SO HOT

I then went to dad's and tried to install the WIFI, no go.  Came home and called ATT and then tried again.

Mike and Carole had invited us to Torrance Tavern for dinner and said the wait was 45 minutes, so we went to Wahoo's  I like them so much.  Mike is such a funny guy and Carole is so so sweet and warm  We sat an chatted for over an hour and it was dark when we left.

I cleaned a bit and got ready for tomorrow  WHITTIER

Wednesday THE HEAT WAVE

 Today is suppose to be 85

I got up at 6 15, a bit late.  KR went surfing and I started on the vegetables.  There was so much green onions, and more cantaloupe and Brussels sprouts that i was getting a blister.  I gave a bag to Sarah and she sent us some duck, mung bean dessert, and shrimp/pork thingy.  She had her appt with Dr Kelliny and she is going to lose the tooth #3.  Most likely root fracture.  

KR surfed a long long time.  I went to the pool and had an hour walk about.  Rode to Jon's to deliver some beets.  Came home and stopped at mom's the plumber came to snack the bath tub drain.  I had asked them to call before stopping, but he said he was in the area and just decided to stop.  Oh, what a Lovely man  NOT

Violet took dad to take chest x ray and head scan.  Dr Lee (BLESS HIS SOUL) called me at about 8 and said the scans and x rays look fine.  He is sending paperwork for CT scan of abdomen and pelvis.  

Sarah called and we picked up some food, fresh chicken nuggets and mac and cheese and ribs and all kinds of stuff.  

Kurt was at Christina's until very late.  THAT BOY 

I transferred 1000 via Western Union to John's account in Iraq as he is having trouble getting money there via Action.
