Friday 1/31/2020

KR goes surfing, I go buy carpet and Carpet Remnant on Torrance Blvd and bought the stains, plus getting the blue paint stirred up.  Only Juan and Sebastian show up.  I hope they get the two rooms done.  They started a little into our bedroom, saying that they need to.

Sebastian started the ceiling paint and the baseboard.  I buy Jersey Mike sub for them for lunch.  And KR gets a third, said it was not enough so I make him another sandwich.

Gracie is not eating her brekkie.  Looks kind of out of it.

I go to pool and walk about 30 min and KR comes and sits out and jacuzzi.  It was about 78 today, very nice.

Lulu text me that many airlines are not flying into China.  I tried calling Air China today, got on hold for 1:38, then they hung up on me and then another 15 min, I gave up.  I will need to try later to see if they are going to cancel our flight in two weeks.

We went to Claudia's for Yappy Hour.  It was only us and Gabby and Claudia.  We had a nice time.  Left about 8 30

NO work Thursday

Well, Juan and Sebastian came today about 8 30, and did not bring the sander.  He said he will bring tomorrow.  We walked Gracie at the beach.  KR went to pick up John Macy at the airport and then John took the car down to Carlsbad.  KR went surfing, and I mixed paint.

The workers started on the bedrooms upstairs and I cleaned around the house.  They get about one room done and started on Kurt's room.  Too much dust, my nose is starting again.

I go to Yoshinoya for two combo plates for them.  Had a coupon, 11 dollars for two.  Pretty good.

They left about 4 30 and we walked the dog.  It was pretty warm today and KR got some honey warmed up.

We had left over for dinner.  Then listened to Hope Chapel sermon.  I didn't fall asleep.

But got up about 11 and ate some rice and yogurt.

Still No Tomas

We finally heard from Ben, Tomas is still not well with his gout.  We go walk Gracie at the Bay so KR can check the surf.  Then I came home and did more taxes and SENT TO IRIS !!!!  Hurray

Then Ben said he would send Fausto and Juan and Chitote tomorrow.

KR weeded and I went to see Nazareth.  He took a nap, then we went and walked Gracie at the beach.

Dinner was left over again.  Plus we cooked all the beets and cauliflower from Tuesday.  About 20 heads of cauliflower.

Dizziness pretty good today.  Same regiment, .25 Klonipin and 10 mg amitriptyline, but i was pretty tired about 10 30.  I didn't nap tho.  Just went to taxes !!

She sent a reply already, lots more forms to come by 1/31 and I will send to her.

Tuesday

KR got up early to take someone to Oswald.  I got up and started to clean again.  I also go to Sherwin Williams to look at stains.  We pick Shipboard MW401  I went for a ride too and picked up a bag of diapers.  Tomas is suppose to come today, and it is now 10 min to 10 and no one here yet.  First time no communication from Ben.

After Oswald, KR went surfing, and I started on the taxes.  Four hours later, I am almost done. 

I went to work at 2 to see Jesse, Zoe and Abby Brown.  Jesse came by for dinner after.  Our first dinner guest.  We had kalbi ribs and chicken and rice, plus all this cauliflower we got from Farmers' Market today.

Went to bed listening to podcast and fell asleep before it finished.

Monday 1/27/2020

I made it to yoga with Adele.  Then it was cleaning and cleaning.  Dropped the coffee maker and VHS tapes at the office, but Maribel was not there.  She and Yvonne were sick.  Stopped at moms and dropped off the stuff Adele gave me for the National Geographics.

KR went surfing. Lovely and gang are skiing in Japan, but Isaiah ran into Alan full tilt and really hurt him, Alan that is, and they are hoping for NO BROKEN ribs.  Lovely thinks maybe a bruised spleen and kidney, oh man.

I went to see Chris Bruno, my neck on the right side not right.  It seems to be one thing or another,.  We also rearranged the furniture and gotten it all ready for Tomas to come tomorrow.  Vacuumed a bunch, and brought everything downstairs except the large furniture.

KR went to EveryMan and I stayed home and cleaned more.

SO much tribute to Kobe Bryant and the others that passed in the copter crash. 

Eddie says the fire can be seen from his kitchen window.  Wow, praying that all is well with his house, etc.

Got all the dog sitting taken care of.  First three days is Corrina and then Eric/Jen, then Ian Brubaker.

Went to bed by 8 and woke up a little when KR came home.

Church Sunday Kobe passing

We were going to go to Branch of Hope but the surf was up so we said better be KHC.

We walked Gracie first to check the surf, then went to church and KR went surfing and I went to mom's and got a bunch of stuff to give away to America Reyes.  Went for a quick ride and got the toaster too and a bag of books, mostly kids math stuff.

KHC was ok, saw Joann, Tony, Tony and Mike and Carole, and Donna.  KR also got a reply from KHC that I thought was rude.  They said KR was judgmental and etc.  KR wrote a reply and asked for a meet.  After 17 years........  What can you say.

KOBE BRYANT died today in a copter crash, and so did his 13 year old daughter plus others.  A total of 12 died.  SO SO SAD.  He was only 41, and she 13.

We had left over dinner and listened to a sermon and went to bed.  I fell asleep before the sermon ended.

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

I started klonipin .25 plus amitriptyline 10 mg about 10 days ago and has been pretty good, hardly any rocking.  Two days ago, about middle of afternoon, the rocking started.  I wonder if I am getting used to the dose.  I don't want to go up.  We shall see.  Next week would be ONE WHOLE YEAR ALREADY !!!!!!

Will's visit

I did two loads of laundry in anticipation of the visit by the crew to do the flooring next week.  KR went surfing, and was just beat when he got home.

Will was suppose to come at about 11 for lunch but said he had to help Fidel with something and changed to afternoon.  We brought the dog and picked him up at 4 30, Harbor Transit Center and went down to Veteran's Park and walked the dog.  He felt like Honda Restaurant so we went.  They were so so slow, and EXPENSIVE.  I have not been there for at least five years. 

Then we came back here and showed Will the new kitchen and watched his dubbed animated film.  VERY GOOD !!!!  Then we drove him home.  I was so so tired.  Took a shower and went to bed,

Physical Friday

Kept getting up like every two hours, but finally got up about 6 am.  KR and I walked the dog and he then went surfing and I stopped at Ralphs for OJ.  None cheap ones.  I went to my physical.  Got blood, urine etc and a nice chat with Dr Lee.  He is retiring in TWO YEARS !!!!  What am I going to do????

Came home and cleaned more.  Moved the fine China around and cleaned the coffee maker I got from the alley for the office.  KR came home and we took a nap.  Then I went to work, he went to America Tires and got new tires, and went to a memorial service, the hair cutter guy downstairs from our old office, Wynn had passed away.

We had small group at Francis' house.  We made salad.  The food and the company was great.  We had burrito, lasagna, chicken legs, salad, vege and some wine we brought.  Chips and salsa and dessert too.  The movie was Church of Felon.  We thought was just ok.  Got back home late and went to bed.

What a day (working)

Got to work at 6 45 and the schedule does not look bad.  Little did I know it was the screaming meemies day.  I got kicked, screamed , drooled, almost barfed on.  Liam Lane wanted to gag at everything.  I could not believe it.  Got done at 12 45 and went home exhausted.

Ate a quick lunch of Hof Hut chicken and went to bed.  Ian came for a visit so I only had about a half hour nap but that was ok.  We chatted a bit and I tried to go back to sleep.  NO GO. So I got up, and there was an ant infestation, by the new kitchen window, so I added a bit more caulking. They were still at it when I went to bed.,

I kept the bone broth going, adding some rib bones that I cooked today.  It was pre seasoned, and it was too salty.  I will boil it a bit to get the salt off.  Never buy that kind again.

We listened to the KHC sermon before going to bed. 

Cleaning Wednesday

KR went surfing while I went to yoga.  I posted the shelfing system that I thought i was going to use that was in the old pantry.  Someone picked them up.  KR tried to put another coat of varnish on and it started bubbling.  I think because it was in the sun.  I disassembled it and took it over to mom's and brought the card table back for the guys next week. 

I had a massage with Nazareth at 3.  It was great.

We had continue education at Double Tree via Trent's office, Redondo Oral Surgery.  The meal was chicken and pasta, etc and it was really good.  The topic was opioid crisis and use of marijuana in te office,  I was so tired when we were done.  Came back and I was asleep like in a minute after my head hit the pillow (after a shower of course).

WORKING again TUESDAY

I had to work for Monica as she is in Park City and was flying back today.  Well, she called and said her flight was delayed.  So instead of 8 - 1 it was 8 - 4 30.  However I did have 1 1/2 hour lunch and I went to the store to get food.  El Super has such nice meat selection.

KR went to House Ear Clinic and then meeting with Will to see his school.  However Will had to had made arrangement for dad to enter the compound, as he didn't do that, pops didnt get to see his school.  We did get him a down blanket and his jacket he left here, etc.  Plus some can food.

Ian and Peter came over.  We were going to go to Hof's Hut, and I thought the wait would be bad, but it was not, Ian checked so we went there.  The food was ok, and the pie tasted like there was too much corn starch. 

We had pie here and they liked the remodeling.

Monday

Was suppose to be 71 and it was cloudy and cold.  KR went to Chris' and then we went for a ride up to PV.  He thought there were no surf, but when we got up to the bay, there was, so we drove home and he went up the hill to surf.  I drove some stuff to mom's for Lovely, and stained the oak table.

I had an appt with Chris Bruno at 2, and by 4, KR was not home yet. He had a lonnnnnngggggggg surfing session and had a great time.  We had left over for dinner

FREE Sunday

Since we didn't have church today, we went to Rosie's Beach in Long Beach.

It was about 69 and Gracie had a great time.  I ran about a mile.  My right knee hurts, just feel kind of 'full'.  So I had to walk after the mile.

We came home and KR took a nap and I went about cleaning and then to my class at the Y.  I cooked some pot roast and we had dinner.  KR watched NFL.

MMA Saturday at Beacon House San Pedro 1/18/2020

We got up early and got ready for the clinic.

The Ready Hot is great making coffee and just having hot water.  We have to get use to how to get just small amount of water down.

It was a cold morning, about 49 so I wore two pairs of pants and two sweatshirts and a down jacket.

We worked from about 9 - 1 and I was exhausted.  Larry, Steve, Catherine, Carla, the new dental assistant came.  Jeff came about noon and was ready to work but I had told them no more patients, as Larry was leaving and Steve is just so slow, and I didn't know Jeff was coming.

Got home and I immediately went to bed and fell asleep so quick for an hour.  With this new regiment of meds I need a nap, and I never napped before.

We got up and Adele came over to see the kitchen.

We went to Hope Chapel for church.  It was on Why we should give to church.  Very interesting topic, one I have never heard before.

Stopped at Shwarma, La Zeez Pita, and KR got shrimp plate, plus four tacos from Jack in the Box.
Came home, ate and went to bed.

Cleaning Friday

KR went to a screening at Lawndale school and I spent the whole morning cleaning, from abou 7 - 12:30.  We went to Sushi Boy for lunch.

Came home for a nap

Walked the dog

Carole and Mike came over and looked at our kitchen and we gave him Mark Dugas' number, who did our Sepulveda House bathroom.  They had such a hard time with their contractor Dan, whom they finally fired.

Went to bed about 8 30.

Clinic tomorrow

Work Thursday and Maribel birthday party

Got to work on time.  Had a dream about losing my phone and looking all over for it.

And something about Tyler too.

Kept waking up every hour.

Got home and KR said Tomas got the hood too low so he needs to drill a hole in the granite and move it up about 6 - 7"  And the drain under the sink is completely gunked up so Tomas had to go to Home Depot to get more piping.  He installed the stove top and finished the under the counter lights.

KR went to the clinic at Journey and I went to Paint N Pour to paint for Maribel's birthday.  I left about 9 30 and they went out partying !!!  I was so tired.

No Adele at YOGA Wednesday

1/ 15/2020

Adele text me and said she didn't get a good night sleep an will not come to yoga.  I went and it was good.  Keeping with the regiment of .25 Klopin and 1 10 mg of amitriptyline right after getting up.  The dizziness is not too bad.  Did some more sorting and cleaning getting ready for Tomas.

Tomas came with Miguel and got to work installing the dishwasher, garbage disposal and the instant hot water pot.  They had to get some parts.

I saw Nazareth at 1 and it was wonderful.

Ben came over and I gave him another 8000.  That makes 51,000 dollars.

We had chicken soup with kale, carrots and cauliflower for dinner, plus bacon that I cooked in the new oven.

END OF DAY 23

Laundry Tuesday

KR went to Oswald and I did two loads of laundry.  Placed more stuff in the cabinets.  So much more room now.  KR also finished the curio cabinet yesterday.  He then went surfing and I went to work, seeing Kimel Conway.

We both went to Farmer's Market and got a lot of scraps for the chickens and some nice blackberries.  I took a nap., and then KR did too.

I tried putting more stuff away.  Waiting for Tomas tomorrow.  I will have  sink !!!!!

We put the table that Eric wanted in the truck and started driving over there.  Then Gigi said they didnt' want it, Eric just wanted the photo of him in Little League.  We drove to Goodwill and I texted Gina who said Hailey wanted the table so we returned home and left it in the back of the truck and parked the car in the garage. 

We went to Mary's for dinner.  She made vegan lasagna and salad.  We brought blackberries and cookies from Trader Joe.  We watched a movie, the CHOSEN, it was good but I was so tired and could not hear, didn't have my hearing aid, and then we came home and went to sleep

Granite Monday

Went to YOGA with Adele.  Took the regiment of klonpin .25 with amitriptyline 10mg and seems to work.  Amy was great.

I went over to mom's to organize the garage so I can park the little car in.  Put the book shelf thing in the back of the van.  Stacked the other white shelfs.  Forgot the car key so will have to do it in the afternoon.

Andy the granite guy says he would be here at 10, but arrived at almost 11. He and two helpers got to work, measuring and getting the sink in.  And glueing the counter top.  They got done about 5

I am still going through mom and dad's paperwork, and ours too.  So many boxes of stuff.

Went and saw Chris  Bruno.  Feel much better.

They left about 4 pm and the kitchen looks great.  Tomas will come on Wednesday.  Ben called and said he had immigration things to do.

KR watched LSU vs Clemson football game and I went to bed.

Today was .25 am, and 2 of 10 amitriptyline one am one pm, and seems to be working ok.

I also picked up some grapefruit from Noel who lives on Eshelman.  They are delicious.,  I gave her a jar of tomato sauce.

Typing on the computer really gets me dizzy.  I wonder why.

END OF DAY 22

Surfing Sunday and church

KR got up early and went surfing.  I continue to fine tune the kitchen to put everything away.

The new med regiment seems to be working.  1/4 tab klonipin with 10 mg amitriptyline as soon as I get up, before coffee.

I cook him some chicken salad lunch and he goes to help Mary with her locks, and I went to class at
3 45 while he took a short nap and then went to Dwell at church.  I drove there after my class.  It was interesting to pray for half hour.

We went to Sue's kitchen for dinner.  It has been a long time.  He had chicken leg lunch and I had the three dish, plus we shared hot and sour soup. 

We listened to a sermon and went to bed.  Sean Hurley at RHCC is speaking too too fast.

Klub Saturday 1/11/20

We went and walked the dog.  So cold, 43,.

KR went to Klub and I ordered some chair covers and tried to put more stuff away.

Brekkie was steak and cheese sandwich,

I spent the whole day cleaning and sorting and getting rid of paper work.  KR came home about 2 and we took a nap.

Went to Patty's and Mike's for dinner.  She said vegan but we had great salad, hummus that she made, peanut butter celery, spaghetti and meat sauce, some ground beef, she said we love meat, so she added a little.  Dessert of nut loaf and we brought some home

At least downstairs looks good.  Christmas cards put away.

What great friends we have !!!!

Friday

KR went surfing and I went to work to see Kirk Crawford.  It was cold cold and cold

Got home and started more cleaning.  I did laundry before leaving, as Gracie sheds a bit of her short fur.

I got the downstairs room almost ready and placing the books back on the shelves.  The glass cabinets really look nice.  I just don't have enough stuff to put in there.

The girls are still not laying any eggs.

I had an appt with Naszareth at 10, o;h so good.

I had an appt with Chris at 2 and oh oh so good.

We went to small group, a6 30.  I grilled some minute steaks.

Went to bed about 9 30 so so so tired.

WORKING Thursday

Got to work by 6 45 and it as not a bad day.

Devin, the supposedly juvenile delinquent threw up after I gave him the shot, so he left.  Brianna Cota had a cold so we sent her away.

Kevin called me and said he was at my house.  NO ONE told me he was coming to work.  Well, with KR at a screening, at least the back door was open. He installed the oven and the place for the microwave.  Tomas will have to wire the plugs, but as for now they are in place and usable.

I got home and Kevin and one other worker was working away.

I just laid around, was really tired.  Talked to Kelby and Mary and a slew of other people.

KR went to walk Gracie.  We had left over for dinner.

Seeing Elias Wednesday

Maybe because Dr Desai is out of town.  We don't have an office meeting today.

KR went to walk Gracie and I measured the bookshelves etc that is suppose to come over here today.  The granite is suppose to be delivered Saturday.

I drove to Lakewood to see Elaine's father Elias.  He was more unresponsive today.  Last time he opened his mouth right away and this time he didn't want me to clean.

I brushed his teeth first and then used the polisher and then tried to scale his teeth.  He has several cavities starting.  No one is brushing his teeth much.  I put some varnish on him too.

Go home and we went to mom's garage and got the cabinets over here and then moved a book shelf over there.  I need to try to get the garage cleaned up so I can park the car in.

We heard Mike's sermon, as we both fell asleep during the last 10 minutes last time we listened.

Working for Dr Desai Tuesday

I had to work from 8 - 6 today.

Arrived at 7 45 and got the low down.  Several patients didn't show up.  YEAH

Had lunch with Diane at 12 30 - 2.  Was so nice to see her.,

Back to work until 6.

KR cooked burger meat or taco salad.  He was mad I didn;t pick up lettuce.  He text me that we didn' have any and I didn’t know if I was supposed to pick it up .

We had dinner and listened to a sermon and went to bed.

Monday 1/6/2020

We did more cleaning

It is Ashley's birthday, and I sent her a happy birthday wish.  Have not heard back.

In the afternoon, we heard from Mary that Sean is in the hospital, maybe with neck fracture.  Hubert had called KR and pastor Dan.  They both went to see him  He is on drugs again, with a new girlfriend who is also an addict  oh man.

KR then went to see Chris, who opened up an appt for him at 5.  His back is still hurting.

We listened to Jeff Gill's sermon and went to bed.

Branch of Hope Sunday

I actually cooked a little brekkie, steak, onions and eggs.  YUM

We got up early, and Gracie dug out the squirrel.  I guess my five shots yesterday did actually connect with the S thing, and it fell off the tree and I didn't know and Gracie got it.

I had KR help me with the garage, and putting these felt pads on the bottoms of the bar stools.

The Velazquez came to help Adam Melendez with the piano.  Adam was late and John and the boys helped me move the oven into the living room so I can get the garage cleaned.  Then we went to the garage at moms and brought back the one roll of carpet and I rolled it out in the garage, and it looks so so nice and I parked my car in after vacuuming again.

We had left over steak. KR had left over tuna and some ice cream with banana nut bread.

I went to the jacuzzi.

It feels like I did something with my right knee.  I went one way and my knee went another.  I hope it is not another meniscus issue.  Just what I need.

We were in bed by 7 and asleep by 7 30 !!!!

Snow day for KR

We got up early and KR went to get gas and then picked up Matthew and Bubba for Mount Baldy adventure in the snow.  I on the other hand, worked all day, just about.

I started with cleaning the downstairs bedroom, mopping the floors, and putting things away, and putting the ducks up, and just getting rid of grime and dry wall dust, and plaster, etc.

I rode my bike around, delivered Wendy's folders, and then went to the bank except I forgot the check for delivery.  Will do that tomorrow.  I managed to get my car in the garage last night  I will need to pull it out and try to get more stuff organized,  Maybe get Adam Melendez and his crew to help tomorrow bring a slab of carpet here and I can really get the garage in better shape.

I cooked some turkey meatball soup, and then grilled the steak.

KR hurt his back sledding with Matthew and Bubba.  They ate at Ted's and all had a good time.

We actually ate in the kitchen tonight.  A first.

MUCH work Friday

Although not working at the office, I worked so hard at home.  KR went surfing early and I started with laundry.  Changed the sheets. Brought the truck back to haul trash.

Took photos of the piano.  Adam Melendez wants it, and will prolly pick up this weekend.

KR came home and didn't wanna go get a Mexican, so I went and got Antonio. By the UHaul place.  We took all the laminate flooring trash to moms, then swept the patio and put the ladders on the cement.  We cut up the carpet so I can park in the garage.  KR fixed the long dining table as the screws had come loose,  and we moved all the appliances inside the house so the garage is nicer.  I took Antonio back to UHaul and gave him 60 dollars.  I wanted him to weed but he didn't want to.  Not even for 20 bucks an hour.

We then drove to Patty and Mikes for dinner,  Burgers and salad.  YUM and the company is even better,

First day of work Thursday

It was rather fast drive to work.

6 45 and Maribel, Yvonne, and Hilary with Dr Cheri were there.  Kim said no one told her she had to work, and Tracy was sick.

It was fast and furious.  I was hoping to get out early to go see Nazareth, but she text me and said she did not have a room.  So I went home stopping by Saachi and there were more office tables.  Oh man,

Tomas was here with Juan and finishing the painting, etc.  We told Ben that he needed to order a new counter where the microwave was he had ordered 33" and with the granite would stick out past the door frame.  We told him to get 30.  He said they had in stock.  Also the two panel doors of the lazy susan was of a different pattern.  That would take three weeks.

James sent text that he thinks he has some kind of blisters.,  Looks like shingles.

We tried more cleaning and then went to bed.  I had to go to the jacuzzi, my back spasms due to the tension.  NO med today

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020

We got up early, as usual.  HAPPY NEW YEAR  !!

It was not as cold as yesterday.  We walked the dog and then KR started on the caulking of the front door.  I helped with the clean up.

I went over to Saachi and Saachi and there were more furniture.  We could not handle any more.

He went surfing and I went riding and then cleaning the house, some more.  I need to straighten the furniture at moms.  Sent Deb a text, she is still in Palm Springs and would not be back until Thursday.  We were hoping to use the truck to move furniture.  AND I have to work tomorrow.  I hope Tomas comes tomorrow to finish the painting and then the granite can start.

We drove to the Bay with the dog to have a look see at the surf. 

Happy New Year

New Years Eve Tuesday

Well, KR thinks he should not be drinking alone.  Great idea.

It was really cold and so we waited a little going to the beach to walk the dog and I realized I made a mistake about my appt with Chris Bruno.  IT was at 9 not 1, so KR dropped me off.  It was great.  My back much better.

We came home and Tomas was putting the lights on in the kitchen.  Toyota by Saachi and Saachi was putting out more stuff and we could not handle any more stuff,  We went to Catherine and Johns for new years eve party, started at 6 30.  The food was great

Cheese balls, steak wellington in a pastry crust, vegetable, drinks, puff pastry with onion jam, salmon and crackers, crab balls, and drinks.  KR only had one beer, I had maybe four of this sweet stuff.

We played a game called Left Center, Right and the last person gets all the money  Katherine won 36 dollars.

We left and came home just in time to see the ball drop in NYC.  We went to bed.  TOO TIRED
