ANOTHER day of work

 I was up and hurried to work.  6 45 and the day was fast and furious.  Done at 1 and Dr Sata had her surgery.  I forgot to mention Maribel said that Dr Sata broke her wrist yesterday while moving she tripped.  OH MAN

I cannot work her schedule any more.  I asked Dr Desai if she wanted to work more. 

Got home and KR had harvested the honey and he forgot to put the center piece in one of the supers so he had to put the honey comb in the honey in the bottles.  THEY look so so pretty. 

We gave one to Sarah.  Will give one to Naby.  He said NO GIVING AWAY.  JUST PAYING customers.

I went for a swim at NH and then jacuzzi.  Then it was cleaning fast and furious.  ANTS all over again, coming out of the light switch in the living room

KR went to bed by 8 30.  He had ONE LARGE beer.  Still two in the frig.

A Long Day of Work Wednesday

 I am writing this Wednesday night at 8 and I am so tired I will not finish.

It started off at 7 45 and by the time it ended at 6, KR had said he won't have a beer if I bring some wine home so I stopped at the 99 cent store on MB Blvd and bought some wine.  

I ate a little, and drank a glass of moscato and went to bed.  I was so tired I could not sleep for awhile.

THEN KR CAUGHT A RAT

WORKING all morning Tuesday

 So I have 8 and 9 and 10 and 11, and don't get done until 12 15.  Pick up chips from Up Crest and go to Ralphs, no sushi, and go to Whole Foods, and get sushi.

Tired from work.  We go walk the dog and John Macy and Samara shows up.  He had forgotten his phone last night, so he came by.

We went to Ted's for dinner

Monday

 So I am suppose to work all day Monday, but I asked for afternoon off so I can see John Macy who is coming in from SF via Brazil.  KR and I went on a bike ride and he finally calls Stephen, who did not bother to call KR, I guess John already got on the plane.

John calls and has arrived, so we hurry home and KR goes to get him.

KR BBQ a tri tip and we had great dinner

SUNDAY and Doug finally comes

 We get up early and go walk Gracie at the beach.  We had church and picked up Olivia and Yeye.  After church, KR calls Matthew and Bubba and Matthew has a game. We ride our bikes down to El Porto, there is the AVP volleyball game at the MB pier.  LOTS of people

We rode 12 miles !!!

Then it was a quick run.  Only 2 miles and then dinner at La Zeez with Mike and Carole.  They had such funny stories to tell about Lea's wedding.

Doug came with the fume board, and the stink sauce.  KR went to bed by 8 15.

What a day !!!

We are tired and emotionally drained and all.........

I didn't want to get up and DIDNT until 6 50 AM

KR left for the beach at 8 and we left at 8 30.  There were lots of people. And it was RAINING hard enough of a drizzle to require wipers occasionally.

Denise had flowers, and donuts and coffee and sign in book and microphone.  KR did a great job, talking about Mark.  Kurt paddled out too.

We came home and got the vases and put the flowers in it and  brought to Schlobs.  WOW, what a nice job there were posters and pictures and food galore, taco man with all kinds of beers and drinks.  I came home earlier than the boys.  They both drank too much, but at least it was so so close to home.

They took a nap, I tried, and then we went to Danielle's for Amber's birthday party.  

They did the pinata in our yard as they had no more trees.

KR went to bed by 8 30

Mark, what a great guy.  We especially me, got to know him WELL, since the lock down.  How can he just disappear like that.  A guy with such a large personality cannot be gone.  

FRIDAY and they return

I first woke up about 5 15 and then went back to sleep until 7 34   WOW more than 8 hours almost 9 hours of sleep.  I started cleaning up as the boys were coming home today.  I just didn't know how early.  I thought they were going to surf somewhere, well, they didn't.  I was on my way out to deliver the Fitbit to Freda when they arrived , about 9 am.  

They deposited stuff, and off they go to try to surf down at Torrance Beach.  I dropped the watch off at Freda's and picked up some sushi for them.  Plus fried chicken.

Went to Yeye's and Olivia said that \Yeye tried to give her money, so I took the money and will be giving it back to Yeye.  I am asking her to work again, as Violet said she is not sure when she is coming back.  Dang, it is so hard to get someone to work.

They both took a short nap.  Kurt is trying to get school stuff started.  It is the BIG day next MONDAY, back to a REAL college.  I am praying that he succeeds.

Then Olivia Lee runs over and says that Dad said to her that he needed the police, and ran out of the house.  I drove over there and tried to get him to go into the car but he would not.  I drove Olivia back and she was cooking !!!  I told her not to worry.  I didn't tell her that he does that about once a month.  What am I going to do???  Later she said that nothing seems to be bothering him, and all is now normal !!

We walked Gracie, barely at the beach and I cooked burgers for dinner, for them.

MORE work Thursday 8/19/2021

 I woke up at 5 and thought, I will just 'close my eyes a little' and nest thing I knew it was 6 12 !!!!  YIKES  I gotta get to work.

I quickly dressed, fed Gracie and the cats and the chickens and ran out the door.

The day was fast and furious.,  Had a few PITAS, and I was done by noon and ran out to buy some food for Andrea Vasquez, the extern.  Today was her last day.  BUT the line at El Pollo Loco was so so long so I ran into Northgate and bought her a large salad, some chicken wings and some fruit.  Plus three guava pastries, I ate one

Got home and ate some fried chicken and went to the pool.  Then went for a ride.

I was tired and went to bed KIND of early  hahaha

Wednesday THEY LEAVE AGAIN ......... and me work again

 So we are up early.  KR packs the car and gets gas and I GO TO WORK

They go to the park to walk Gracie first so she does not feel so so lonely.  What a day at work.  The staff said Dr Lili office is mad at me.  Do I really care ?  They said a patient said I SAID THAT THEY SHOULD NOT SPEND THE MONEY on that office.  Phewy

It was so so busy.  I went for a short walk at lunch.  Marc came by the office  We just got the email that all in the office NEED TO BE VACCINATED by the end of September.  Oh My.  I think Melissa and Maribel and maybe Tracy are not vax.  

I got done at 5 45 and spoke to KR.  They are having a great time and staying at BW, even Joost came down to surf.  KR and Kurt ate at Fidels and have left over.

I went for a short ride.  Had to feed the animals and take out the trash and do all kinds of stuff.  Went to bed at 10

One patient Tuesday

 So KR sleeps like 11 hours and I sleep maybe 9, but still alot.

We do laundry and he walks Gracie while I go to work.  Only Donna Crawford.  The handpiece won't work, and we had to move room.  What a PAIN.  At least she brought the payment.  #14 MO, it was real decay too.  We were waiting for a few years.

I stopped at Ralphs and bought some sushi.  KR was weed whacking.  They decided to leave tomorrow for Carlsbad or somewhere.  I will be working

I go to the pool and walk 30 minutes, then total riding of 6 miles, and ran a mile.  Did the usual 100 pushups.  KR puts the racks on. I cook burger for dinner for him, and they got so so much stuff from FM, I gave away a lot of basil, and I made a LOT OF PESTO.  

I also drove Olivia and Yeye to the Y to pick up food.

Went to bed by 9

EASY Monday and KR returns

 I didn't get up until after 7.  Andrea and Maribel came to clean.  I went to see Rita, and rode my bike to pick up the socks from Chelsea, for donation.  I do not need socks.  

KR got back abnout 2 and he had a nice time.  He ate some fried chicken and we drove down to the beach.  I text Will Weston that he needs to pay me, and he did, some 2300 dollars later.  It is ABOUT TIME.

We came back and KR was in bed by 7 15.  I guess the trip wore him out.

He and Kurt are thinking of going down to San Diego, maybe Carlsbad area Wed through Fri, surf trip, before school starts for him

Sunday at BOL

 Well, I thought it would be good for dad and Olivia, that is her name, to go to church at BOL, so I picked them up and headed over.  They went to the Cantonese service and I went to the English service, and John Chou was the speaker.  I guess each ELDER has to teach sometimes, and it happens to be his turn.  His topic:  WHAT IS YOUR BMI???  Very good

As soon as I dropped them off, I picked up this very small tutu and packed my bike and went down to Wilmington to the CicLaVia thing down there.  I was the 'most' colorful.  The route was short, only 2.5 miles, so 5 miles round trip.  Some food trucks but no freebie, except the kids got new helmets if they didn't have one.

IT WAS HOT

I got home and worked around the house.  VACUUM the garage, etc.

Kurt had some jack in the box that I got for him.

New Caregiver Ms Lee

 So Kurt was still up at 2 in the morning last night.  

I go over to Yeye house and it was a mess. I spent TWO HOURS cleaning, sweeping, mopping and generally cleaning.

I met Ms Lee here and drove her over to the house.  I also brought some food, and cleaning supplies.  

I biked the alleys, not much.  Picked up the shelfing I wanted.

OH, Kurt and I got into a BIG DUSTUP

He said he was going over there to get the pineapple cake cups to plant things, and I said that I threw them in the recycling.  He threw a fit.  I was so mad I told him to move out.  I had spent hours cleaning and he didn't do the cleaning like I told him.  He said it was because of HIS FINAL !!!  Yeah, right, his laziness.

He came back from Corrina's and apologized.

I went to Ralphs and bought SUSHI !!!  Yup more ebt food

Spoke to mom again, and Kurt spoke for about 5 minutes and I spoke for 30

Went to bed by 9 15.

Got only 6.5 hours of sleep last night.

KR off to Santa Barbara

 So KR gets up early and is ready to go.  Phil T said that he would be here by  6 45, and of course, he is not, and he arrives at 7 15, the original time he said.  KR loads up the NEW surfboard with the NEW fins I got for him on eBay and off they go.

I start with cleaning.  The ants are still around.  They have finished ONE Terro ant bait, and I gave them another.  They are by the trash so we cannot put any trash there as they will start chomping.

Kurt is over at Yeye's.  I biked over to get the magnetic doll thing over on Anza and then all around the alleys.  Not much to see.  Total of 6.74 miles.  

I did a load of laundry, the floor mats, and Gracie's blanket, so dirty.  I went for a 2 mile run at 6 pm, averaging 12 15 pace.  I am feeling faster but I guess 12 minute mile is NOT fast.

I SPOKE TO MOM !!!  

Finally I spoke to mom.  Lovely said 7 my time, and I waited an hour.  She meant 8 pm, she forgot about day light saving.

I spoke to her for 42 minutes.  She was pretty alert.

Working Thursday

 Got up at 5 56 ready for work  Arrived at 6 45 and the day started fast and furious.  Seems like the days are ALWAYS fast and furious.  I finished at 12 30 but didn't get out until 1 15, writing charts.  The sensor went out and I text Adam and then called XDR and is suppose to get a loaner.

We had another patient whose family was positive for COVID and I sent email to Marjorie asking about the 'new' or 'newer' protocol, and told her about the positive, and she thought there was a PATIENT, no I said the family member.  BUT we did not have written protocol so who knows what to do when a recently positive comes in?   Marjorie said that Marc has hired a HR company to write our protocol.  I said that is good because we SHOULD have one, especially I am the doctor in office and Tracy comes and asks me what we should do.  Last year we were requiring TWO negatives, but now with the vax, we are not, but what is it exactly we are requiring?

I got home and KR was fast asleep. Said only one beer.  RIGHT !!  I went for a ride and it was HOT.  We walked Gracie, barely, she didn't want to move.  

My race on August 28 went VIRTUAL, dang, I was so looking forward to running another race.  But I guess with the low in person registration, and the increase in the number of cases, the company decided to delete this year, AGAIN.

So Maribel called me too and she said she will call Tracy for the story about what to do at the office.  Weekly testing?  

KR had a salad, and I had a guava pastry and went to bed.

OH no work Wednesday

 I didn't get up until 7 11 and KR said hey, lets walk the dog so we can go for a bike ride, sleepy head.

We did.  Gracie was so cute, and just nice to everyone. 

We borrowed Kurt's car and went to Ave C and biked for a total of 1 hour and 37 minutes !!!

We were five minutes late for Nazareth.  What a GREAT massage.  I was just about asleep. 

OH IT RAINED A LITTLE, JUST A FEW DROPS and was cloudy all day

Then I went to the jacuzzi and did some exercises and came home.  I made chicken pho

I drove to Jon Liu's and delivered sprouts.  

I made some and my hand was sore from cutting them.  I baked them and had it for dinner.  It was so so good.  Kind of give you gas though.  I weigh 110.8  this morning.  Must keep that up.  No eating junk too much. HAHAH

Even longer working Tuesday

 So this is the week that I work at the clinic Monday, Tuesday AND Thursday.

I got to work by 7 45 and the day started fast and furious.  Andrea Vasquez is still our extern.  I told the girls I will buy El Pollo Loco, via EBT.  So I go there and the restaurant says INSIDE CLOSED and I didn't want to wait in line, so I said YOSHINOYA???  Tracy says no.  So Taco Bell it is.

I dropped food off and then went to El Super for guava, as they didn't have it yesterday.  I came back and we ate well.  Maribel came by and had some Taco Bell too.

We did payroll.

Afternoon with Angelica was easier than most days.  BUT we did have three HEAVY cleaning patients at 5 pm, so I didn't get out until 6.

I didn't eat dinner, much, went to bed by 8 52 and got up at 7 11  OH WOW  so good almost 9 hours of sleep

LONG working Monday

 So I am working this week at the clinic MONDAY, TUESDAY and THURSDAY

Oh man

Got there by 7 45 and it was going going and going  We went out to lunch at 1 and I walked to El Super and they were OUT OF GUAVA pastries.  WHAT???  I bought some chicken and some cheese pastries.  I had okra for lunch.  I told the girls will be having El Pollo Loco free lunch tomorrow.

I got done at 6 and I was so tired.

Sunday

 So we were up early and walked Gracie.  She is limping.  One of her back leg is sore she cannot put weigh on.  Think it was the squirrel chasing yesterday.  KR tried to shoot one and Gracie was just apoplectic about the potential of getting one and was just running back and forth.

We picked up Yeye and Kurt at for church.  I could hardly wait until Revelation is OVER !!!  I tried NOT to fall asleep.

We dropped them off and Jon Liu came for a visit.  He had a flat tire and we fed him some lunch and he changed the tire.  Naby came by and gave us some mushrooms and borrowed a saw for PVC pipe.  Some project she is doing.  Donna came by for the Beanie Babies.  I went for a ride after Jon left and KR took a nap

MOSKIES  well, I did put some DEET on but there were still 2 I killed and 3 KR killed last night.  The bombs in the attic maybe is helping some.  We need to find out if the rats are killed.

I slept for almost 8 hours last night.  Went to bed at 9 09 and got up at 6 32

Saturday

 I could not sleep again last night.  The moskies kept me awake and I had to take a benedryl, the itching.  We walked Gracie to Dolphin park and she is just lagging.  KR and I went to FM and got a LOT of okra, eggplants, tomatoes and some onions.  I cooked two dishes:

              eggplants, zucchini and onions

               okra tomatoes and onions

KR also bombed the attic, found a BUNCH of rat poop  YUCK YUCK AND YUCK

Hopefully the mice are dead.  We don't know.  Hopefully the moskies won't eat me alive.  I am scratching myself raw in the middle of the night.

Tried to do wire transfer for Isaiah, but need more information, etc.  Wanted to talk to mom but no go. 

KR and I also cleaned the yard, raking the leaves and watering.  

I was in bed by 9  

Rosie's with Gracie and KR Friday

 So he WAKES me up early before surfing.  I was so so tired.

I pick up the three IKEA mattresses, more like foam futons and wash the covers.  One of the covers zipper broke so I used that one for the couch in the living room and am giving away the black foldable futon away.  I also got the two fans back from the garage to give away.  LOTS of interest.

We drove down to Rosie's and Gracie had a great old time.  I walked around a bit and picked up some trash.  We came home and KR ate and went to bed.  I went to the garage trying to clean up, lots of stuff to do.  Yeye did not want the old signs he had at the ostrich show 10 years ago so I will give them away or recycle.

We went to Ralphs and bought some food, and Tyler called, saying he is in the middle of nowhere, Lordsburg and needs our help.  We told him no more help, as he wants all this on HIS TERMS.  Oh man, that kid will never learn.

The ants are still with us but getting better, I think.

We went to bed hoping for salvation for our kids and no more ants

MORE MORE working Thursday

 I didn't get up until 6 08 and had to leave at 6 45.  In the parking lot, Tracy said that my 7 am canceled.  Well, we had a long office huddle and then we started cleaning and sorting etc.

It was fast and furious.  I actually had a 10 minute break.   Took out two teeth on Dulce, finally, 12 and 21

Came home and had some lunch and Denise came by but we didn't hear the door.  Went for a bike ride.  Hip kind of hurt.

Walked Gracie at the beach and had El Pollo left over for dinner.  I made fruit jello with maraschino cherries and whip cream.  THANK you Naby

Went to bed by 9 30

MORE working Wednesday

 So I am up, by 6 15  Went to bed by 8 40 that is 8 hours and 15 min of sleep !!!!!!!   Had a better sleep than last night.  Still tired.  Got the laundry going and left at 7 30.  KR went surfing, or tried.  No go.  He took Gracie for a walk.  I worked HARD.  Lunch was at 1, but I did not run.  MY HIP WAS HURTING today.  I had to take an advil or two before walking to El Super the long way for a guava pastry.  I had brought some vege that Kurt cooked last night.

I walked 1.78 miles at 29.23 pace  VERY SLOW

I got off by 5 15 and went to Sarah for soup, then KR and I walked Gracie at Dolphin Park. 

We went to El Pollo Loco and bought 50 dollars worth of food and dropped some off at Kurt's for him and Yeye.

I went to bed early at 9 12 and got up at 6 08

WORKING Tuesday

 I didn't get up until 6 45 and KR had gone down to try to go surfing.  NO GO, so he came back and we drove to the park and walked Gracie.

Then I went to work and he squeezed the grapes plus apples he bought from the Korean store to make the grape juice not so sour.  We had lots and lots of grapes and he made such good juice two days ago, but I guess he thought it was too sour.

I saw Guillermo and then Abby and then Zoe Brown.  I went by Gloria's to pick up the tooth brush, and actually found a new head that we had for YEARS and YEARS.  Stopped by Ralphs for some sushi and fried chicken.  The boys were thrilled.  KR was in the process of making a BLT, after just coming back from FM, with good squash, which I cooked later tonight.

I went for a 2 mile run.  Very slow.  Hip hurting a little.

Violet came by with some seafood soup.  She is leaving tomorrow for a month.  Oh my

I went to bed by 9

Monday some hip pain

 So I do laundry early, and KR has Zoom with the Chris Cannon group.  We go down the beach to walk Gracie.  Andrea and Maribel comes to clean the house.  Aptiva pest control tried to sell us a 400 dollar a year plan,  we said no.  Kurt took his computer to the shop to get new battery.  Then they go down to the beach and do not come back until 3 30  I guess they had a good time.  Saw some RFC kids too and Donna so they stayed longer

I biked at 3 to pick up the utensils on Anza and back.  I also rode earlier through the alleys and back.  My hip started hurting a little so I took some advil

Adele came over asking for some n95 masks, and she brought over some corn that Neil grew.  They were great.  

I made an appt for COVID testing.  I am just so tired all the time.  Maybe it is just working.  Could not do YMCA testing, appt at CVS in Lomita.

Went to bed early, by 9

No Yeye and Violet for church

 I get up at 5 28 for the 5 30 donut run.  The alarm didn't even need to go off and I was up.  

I went to Daily Donut on Crenshaw and bought 15 dollars worth of donuts and individually wrapped them before putting into the Tupperware.  I drove over to the Ackerman's and Forrest took the suitcase and flew off to Taiwan with it.  

The blue birds have TWO babies, and it is now 7 40 and they are waiting for mom and dad to come back.  WHERE ARE THEY?

We go walk Gracie at the beach. THEN it was church.  

Violet was suppose to go dim sum with dad but he decided he didn't wanna go, so they stayed home.  HE IS SO WEIRD SOMETIMES

I rode the bike down or tried to, when I got to NH pool, the front tire POPPED.  So I called KR and he picked me up.  I went down to Sprocket Cycle and they changed the tire.  Then I stopped at the village to see if they going to see sample shoes at Village Runner, like they said would happen on Tuesday when I called them,  BUT  NNNNnnnnooooooo  no shoes, so I came home and went for a ride.

KR DRANK a bit.  He had a beer and then smelled like wine, and I asked him to do the BAC and he got REALLY mad and didn't want to talk to me all the rest of the afternoon.  He made the cover for the water heater at mom's, and I will get NH to paint it.

He also went down to the beach WITHOUT me.  You can always tell when he is mad.  He won't talk to me.  

All this about DRINKING !!!!

He has been having three drink, DAILY, for weeks.  One or two beers, and one or two ghlasses of wine, and then maybe a shot of something.

Saturday

 So I start packing the suitcase for Lovely and gang and think about what to put in the rest of the suitcase. Then it was bridal shower time at the Gooch's for Lea.  I sat with Joy, and Patty and Emily, the old BOL gang, that all go to KHC now.  So weird.  And now Patty and Emily are at COTB and Joy and Walter have been coming too BOH.  

We had a fab salad and sandwich and cupcakes.  I didn't have any.

After shower I go to Ralphs and buy jello and stuff for Lovely. 

KR picks a bunch of grapes.  I send the ProActiv stuff to Lovely.

I was in bed by 9 40.  Violet didn't come until 7 PM.  Kurt was wondering what was up with her.  She did tell me afternoon, but.......
