New Years Eve 2023

So it was still lightly raining t his  morning.

KR took Angel to the golf course and I stayed home.  We went to church.  Kurt was still at Cleveland National Forest.

The sermon was good.   We came back for a l ittle lunch and not much else as we were going to be going to the Gooch going away Party and then to Crookston's.   KR cooked the lobster dip and I went fora ride first then a run.  Kurt got home about  4 30 and he asked me to help him  clean up and I  said no and he got  mad.  He drove Corrina  home and we went to Donna's for the Gooch going a way party.  We had a little chicken adobo and came home to get the dip and went to Crookston.    

Katherine said it was suppose  to be 16 people but there were only 8,  which is good, as 16 would have  been too may.

Kurt and Corrina went to Chris' by Anza for their party.

We were home by 9 and bed by 10

Saturday and rain went away and BIG SURF

So it was still raining  this  morning.  We went to the golf course and KR says it is gonna stop, but we  brought th umbrellas anyway and boy did we need it.  It  poured for a bit and then stopped, blue sky over the ocean.  We then drove up to Lunada Bay to see the big waves.   They were big but didn't have any shape.  We came home and I did some clean up and KR went to FM to pick up very little stuff.  Just some lettuce for  the girls.

I keep thinking that I need to feed Buffy.  She is gone and she was such a good girl.  

We read part of our will and trust as we need to make an appt with Tom regarding an amendment or two.  

We also stopped at Ralphs to get cream cheese for tomorrow night's appetizer at the Crookston.

KR had some lunch (taco  salad) then took a nap.  I rode around the alleys and got a blanket, which  I  washed and dried.  Kurt is still in Cleveland National Forest camping.  

KR took  Angel back to the golf course and I tried to nap but could not.  I did do some boxing. 

THEN THE MALL RIOT

Yup, there were hundreds of them kids thinking of doing the smash and grab.  Well, the  TPD had the copters circling with lights  telling them to keep marching down Sepulveda  and to go home.  It was  a  mad house for a bit with the cops and the lights and the congestion on the  main  drag.   

Friday 12/29/2023

We were up, not too early.  KR went to check the surf and said it was TOO BIG to go out so we took Angel to the service road and she had a great run.  We  went to mom's  to  check the fake tree  I got and to bring Mary's cart and her chair out to the garage and I did a bit of cleaning inside, making things neater.  

We also brought the plumerias that I wanted planted in the front.  The other one I planted died or some reason.  I set the Roomba to roam around in each room.  

KR went up to meet with Jon, up at Lunada Bay to have lunch and a shot of tequila or two, or three.

It is in the 40's out  in Cleveland  National Forest.  They must be COLD.   Suppose  to rain  a little tomorrow.  I also did laundry,

I  went for a s hort bike  ride anda  short run.  Knee was not t oo b ad.  

Thursday Kurt goes camping

KR got up early and went surfing.  I went to pick up the girls to take them to Harbor Gateway Transit Center to take the bus to Union Station.   They were taking the bus to Las Vegas then Grand Canyon. 

Kurt  was getting ready to  leave for Cleveland  National Forest, just south  of Murrita to  go  camping with Corrina and friends.  Glad he is going out to do stuff. He also quit nicotine and is chewing the gum I  got him.   He also went for a run this morning too, I guess to get some of the headache out of his system.  

I went for a  6.5 mile ride around the neighborhood.   KR also helped me in the garage with the fake tree I dragged there to see if the lights work.  If they do then we will keep otherwise give away.  We also dragged Mary's kitchen cart and her chair out.

I had a conversation with Melissa last night.   It is so hard to call her as she is not getting any jobs and has no money and cannot do anything,  Maybe I will offer her the condo but she has a dog and two cats and a house full of furniture.  What to do?

KR had a huge lunch and very little dinner.  I am almost down to 109 in the morning.  Thanksgiving I ate too much and was about 112 in the morning.   

I did a little weights in the garage and we were in bed by 8 30

Wednesday 12/27/2023

 So KR was up  early and had  a  meeting with Coach  Phil of Valor.  I  was asleep until after 7.   So  tired.  Dreamed about  Grace,  my cousin,  taking  care of mom  and not changing mom's wet diaper or something.  I have no idea why I had this dream.

KR came home and went surfing.  I did some puttering of course.  Bringing some stuff to the garage and  trying to clean up.  Kurt is going camping and wants some stuff gathered up.  The Jao girls forgot a purse at Avis and I rode my bike over there and picked up the purse.     KR also picked up some shampoo for me,  except he got the wrong thing, he got Charity's.   HAHAHA  

We got KING crab legs and shrimp and tri tip from Patty acrosst he  street.  We get so much food.  Then  Sarah gave us curry and spaghetti sauce.  I bought some over to the girls.  

Kurt just hung out and cleaned his room a little and got the tent washed.  I did a load of laundry too.

We went to the golf  course to walk Angel at sunset. There were some golfers but they left pretty quick as it was getting dark.  

I calledt he girls as I d idn't  know where they were  They werei n   Long Beach Belmont Shore looking at  the canals.  How did they go down there???  No idea.  They are leaving on the bus at Union Station  tomorrow morning.  

December 26 Monday

Last night was not very good sleep  Score of 74 and 7.5 hours of  s leep

So we were up early, and  Kurt NOT of course.  He had a headache and took some migraine medication  and slept all afternoon.  KR and I went to the beach to walk Angel and then he went surfing.  I went to the garage and brought Mary a lot of her stuff to her new place on Cabrillo so I can get some of the stuff reorganized in the garage.  She has a really cute new place.  One bedroom back house with garage for $1800 which is a great deal

I went to FM and only got some lettuce for the girls.  Which I forgot to sort through and is still sitting in the garage,

8 mile ride around the neighborhood.  I found a Christmas tree.  Must see if it works, that means no more buying fresh tree !!!

I took a nap too, was so so tired.  KR took a nap.  The router came and Kurt had heck of a time trying to install.  It turns out that ATT forgot to register it so that it could NOT be installed unless we called them.  The girls were out in Hollywood all day, and came home to drop off the car and then went to El Burrito Junior for dinner.  I picked them up there.

Kurt went out dancing and Rachel was the only one that wanted to go.  

Merry Christmas 2023 Monday 12/25/2023

 What a great day. 

We were up and gifts opening.  For the family that don' buy too many gifts, we had some.  I got Kurt some socks and KR some socks and T shirt.  Kurt also got the paw PING PONG game, plus the air Twister game.  We then walked to the golf course.  It was empty, and although sunny I guess the golf course was closed.  There was only ONE  worker.  Kurt even went.  We then came home and Kurt did laundry and took a nap.  KR ate some lunch , of last night's left over Korean BBQ and then he took a nap too.  

I tried taking a nap but Brian came by and  Angel barked, and barked.   He wanted  Kurt to help him  transfer content of one phone to another since his old phone broke.  I  cooked   my famous garlic  roast and KR cooked mashed potatoes and we had salad and  rolls and  dessert.   The girls came and Brian  too and Corrina and we had a great dinner.  

They watched a little  "Home Alone" and  we went to bed by 9  15.

Sunday Christmas Eve 2023

We were up not too early and went to Veteran's Park to walk  Angel.  Only saw some  S things by the walkway  near Torrance Blvd.  The feeding l ady was not there so there were none by the bathroom

We went to church, and Pastor Paul talked about Luke

Came home and  KR   planted the trees and did  some pruning  and I did some more jewelry   giving and puttering around.  The raccoon came by to eat again, and brought a friend.  KR took a nap and so did Kurt.  I went riding around for 8 miles around the neighborhood.

We went to the Christmas Eve service and then to Jang Su Jang for dinner.  Korean BBQ and Eleane paid, and it was so so delicious.  Kurt ate a lot, and I ate too  much.

They stayed around for a bit and we lit off a firework and went to bed around 9 pm 

Saturday 12/23/2023

 So the modem did not come.

We were up not too early. I had 8.25 hours of sleep, although it does not feel like it.  I kept waking up and wondering if I should get up.  KR took Angel to the beach and I did laundry and cleaned the house.

THINKING OF BUFFY.

I had to take care of her for so long that it is strange that I don't have to try to feed her food first thing in the morning. HOWEVER, the hurt racoon I  saw last night when Freda came over is in the back yard and I gave it some dog food and it ate.  The back paw seems hurt.   Freda brought me some  great rice balls and soup.  

KR went to FM and bought a persimmon tree and started to dig a hole by the grape vine.  Kurt went out  with some friends from Cal and then took a  LLLLOOOONNNNNGGGGGGG nap.   We only got one  cabbage which I will cook for tomorrow.

I rode the bike to Vanderhill Street to pick up toy for Angel but she didn't put it out I have to go tomorrow.  I cleaned mom's garage up some.  Brought a whole car load of stuff to Steven plus a large tarp that he wanted.  

We went to walk  Angel at the Golf Course but  the golfers were  out.  So we went to Fire Trail.  

We had left over for  dinner.

Friday and the Alumni Water Polo game

So it was still raining a bit this morning when I got up. Didnt think I got a very good night sleep but the watch says the sleep score was 88   i don't believe  it.  I felt like I tossed and  turned all  night.  

KR took Angel for a walk and I went for a run except my left knee is really  bothering me.  I had to  walk half  of  it.   

Kurt was  up and  he drove up first to Chadwick.   KR and I left Angel at home.  It  poured a little right  before we left.  Buckets and buckets. I guess  Santa Barbara really got flooded.  There  was only FOUR varsity players, vs 6 alumni so Rob had to play on their team.  KR should have gotten his suit on and jumped in.  Corrina would not go in either.  She played goalie for JV Peninsula team.   I don't even  know who won.

We had a very tasty pizza lunch and came home.  KR took a nap and I tried cleaning the stuff in the garage.   

We had Thanksgiving left over for dinner.

Kurt slept all afternoon, after his very tough game.  He was exhausted from  swimming so much.  

Thursdad and NO WORK

 So it rained most of today

KR  tried to go surfing and says it is no go so he took Angel to the beach, and then the rain let up a little so he went to the golf course too  and Angel had  a ball.  No golfers.  

I did house work.  Cleaning up the Buffy cage area, and thinking of her.  What a hen.  More than 8 years  old.  She was well loved.  

Kurt's first client canceled so he went to work about 12.  KR and I went to California Pizza Kitchen for a little lunch.  Courtesy of Jeff Yamane.  We have not been there for years and years.  I think the last time I was there was with Julie Jensen.   

He took a nap and  I tried posting more jewelry from Dennis down the street.  I also took some stuff over to mom's garage and condo.  Brought all  Alan's cereals inside.  Mary also came by and brought a whole bunch of her stuff to her place.  Sean helped during the lull in the rain.  It was pouring hard for awhile.  

I don't know what the girls did, Eleane said she had to work online so they were there most of the day. 

Kurt stopped at Corrina's after work and watched some TV.  He is gonna get owned tomorrow at the Water Polo game at Chadwick.   We had  Sumi's leftover enchilada casserole for dinner plus canned green beans. 

Wednesday RAIN FINALLY and BUFFY PASSED AWAY

As soon as I got up and checked on Buffy, she was stiff and gone.  Felt like she had not gone too long. That was one sweet hen.  In the last year, I guess she must have had three or four strokes, or some kind of seizure problem.  I hand fed her, or rather force fed her cat food and chicken food and she bounced back.  Yesterday her feet were all curled up and she had a hard time standing but she was still eating, a little.  I cried and lamented that I cry when all my animals go, but this one I was especially sad as I nursed her back to health and she lived inside for several months at night.  

Eleane and the gang came by around 7 am for some coffee.  Not sure why they just didn't buy some instant.  Eleane is suppose to be making a lot of money working for Facebook.  They left in the light rain and said that the parking structure was getting full already.  

KR took Angel out to the beach first, then the rains topped and after a short walk there, he took her to the Fire Road.  He had lunch then a nap.  Tonight is Donna's party for the Trac kids.  KR is picking Matthew  up about 5 45.

I brought the cereal over  to mom's and had a  whole amazon  bag full of their stuffi n the corner of the  living  room.  Mary still has a lot of stuff there that she is slowly moving to her new place.  She had the movers come Monday, thank goodness no rain.  For a little while, the rain  was coming  down i n  SHEETS.

I went out for a short run.  But could only do about three miles.  MY KNEE HURTS  (L)

 So yesterday Emma became a Canadian citizen via zoom.  That is  so weird.  It was suppose to start raining and in the morning.  I told James to pay me the money.  No word yet.  

Tuesday Bible Study and Dinner with the group

 KR had  his  usual  Tuesday morning  bible study and then   he went  surfing  with  Joost.   I  stayed  home of course  and  did laundry and changed  the sheets.  He came back and I w as going  to  go biking but  it started raining.

I  picked up Eleane  and Phoebe from  the bus  stop at AAA.  They missed  thes top andhad to walk  backfrom Lomita and Hawthorne. 

I  drove themt o t he condo a nd gott hem situated.  Mary  is  in t he process o f moving.   She  got most of h er stuff out of the storage unit but there is  still alot of stuff at the condo,  but  at least  the back  bedrooms are clean so the girls can stay

Also I took them to Avis rental to get  a  car about 5 and they wanted to g o to the grocery store for food.

I told them Ralphs  is better than  Walmart

We had sandwiches from Jersey Mike and had a nice bible study.

Bed was about 10 pm

Monday I had to work

 So Dr Sata is out of town I think so I had to work today.  I was very busy getting the house ready for Andrea to clean.  KR went early to go surfing, and Kurt had  work so Angel was home with the cleaning  crew.  It rained a little too.  

I was done by1 PM and came home to an empty h ouse, but clean.  KR had taken Angel to the fire road after surfing.   He had some lunch and took a nap.  My  morning  was  very busy.   Will came in for some fillings.   I  did lower left and scaled his teeth a bunch.  He still has fuzz on his teeth.  

I went for a run around the alleys.  Very slow. Sumi came by with some cabbage salad and some enchilada casserole.  It was great.  I took some bagels to Adele's and had a little chat with her, and Neil. 

We  had very light dinner and went  to b ed by 9

Sunday

 I was  so dizzy today and my head hurt and my b ack was hurting.  KR took Angel to the fire road and went to  church.  Kurt went  to hike Mount Baldy with Corrina and friends.  They left by 7 30.   I did  the laundry washing all the rugs and vacuumed the garage.  I also brought a lot of stuff back from Dennis around the corner.

I also got a FRESH Christmas tree in the alley and gave to Kathleen on  226 on the other side.  WITH a stand.  She was so thankful

I also got her a bunch of ornaments.

KR came back and tried to go surfing.  NO GO

He tried t aking Angel to the park.  NO GO

We went to Donna's for enchilada and it was GREAT, saw the Gooch, Ackerman, Francis and Gooch children and  of course Donna and John.

 WHAT HAPPENED?

We  did  go  to FM or  KR  did  and  we got  lots  of  kale,  which no one wanted

I went to  Sumi's party and there w as so so much food.  KR didn't go

We walked  Fire  Road  and t here was so much brush c learing  it w as unreal

I biked  over 7 miles  and  also ran thea lleys but r eally slow, like 13 min  mile

EASY FRIDAY 12/15/2023 William's 30th Birthday

I forgot to mention, Will said he got bit by a dog (while working) and the dog owner gave him 100 bucks not to say anything!!!  His pants even got torn.  Dang  I wished  him a happy birthday.  His gift this  year was the car, for Christmas too.  He says he likes his gift.  I certainly hope so.

I didn't get up until 7 am.  KR took Angel to the fire road.  I tried to clean the table where all the Christmas stuff I am trying to give away.  A lot of it went and Charity came to pick up the kitchen towels.   Kiera also wanted them.  Donna came by for some candals.  

I  had chiro with Chris Bruno and I rode my bike there and back.  Kurt was home  early.  He slept a bit before his office party.  He wore KR's 'ugly Christmas sweater'.   

We had much left over  from last night.

Thursday and OFFICE PARTY

The work day started off with a bang.  I saw Paula and Peter Gooch, and Chase Bruno.  All the KHC  kids.  I got off work at 12 30 and came home.  I found  the white pants and washed and  dried and ironed them for our outfits tonight.  I  was gonna stop at the thrift store but Kurt said he still had his  white pants.  KR cooked some broccoli soup and it was very good.

KR also had Valor meeting and he text me to start  boiling the lobsters for the dip for tonight. The meeting ran long and he just had time to cook the dip and bake it before we had to leave for the party at Megha's house.  

I went for a 2.5 mile run, at 13.36 pace  Very slow

I also went riding at 2 pm to BIG 5 to buy some socks for the boys.  I wrapped up KR's t shirt gift and  Kurt's Apple Watch gift.

We got to the party and most folks were there already.  And we were only about 5 min late. They really like to start partying.  There was a lot of food and we had a great time, eating and talking and then THE GIFT exchange.  You can steal two times, and  KR got this REALLY good bag of teeth stuff, like a soft blanket and teeth socks and dog socks and Christmas socks.  However, Melissa STOLE it and then Maribel stole it and she gave me the dog socks.  KR had a LOT TO drink and I drove home .  I also gave Angelica a ride home.  Her husband dropped her off and I guess she didn't want to drive?  KR said his BAC was ONLY .06 when he got home.

Wednesday Screening again in Lawndale

 After I was woken up by KR, not too  early this time, I went to screening at  William  Anderson Elem.

I was done by 11 45, as there was only two more classes left and I told them I was leaving.  I ate some of the broccoli soup KR made.  He added cauliflower too and blended it.  Delicious.

I went to Big 5 to buy Kurt some socks.  I had a coupon, so I got KR a pair of hiking socks too.

Kurt got some presents already, the Apple Watch, the nicotine gum and socks., the three pack he likes. I finished the Christmas letters  and we wrote  some and will mail tomorrow.  KR has Valor meeting tomorrow and I have work.

Tuesday OSHA training at the office 12/12/2023

So KR was thinking of surfing and took his stuff to take a look.  No go.  He came home and took Angel for a walk.  I went to see Dr Wong, chiro but he had another patient and was late.  Mary told me yesterday that she got a place in Torrance and will need a frig so I asked online and I went to see the frig, and she did too and said that it would not work.  Su Kim bought a house and is no longer on 235, but Huber street.  Off of Western and 242nd street.

Sometimes I think she is too picky.

But she has been at the condo for FIVE months, without paying rent, so at least she saved some money.  

KR went to FM and we got a lot of asparagus, and romaine and broccoli and cauliflower and some beets.  I gave away alot   of the stuff today.

We had OSHA from 1 - 2 15  and came home and KR took  Angel out  while  I stayed and typed  the Christmas letter.  Took awhile.  Pages is not like Word.  I also  went for a run about 2.6 miles, slow.  My hip and left knee giving me fits.  13.min  mile.

KR picked up tacos from El Tarasco or  LBJ and all chicken and they were very good. 

I got 86 sleep score last night.  A lot of  sleep.

                                                    Happy Birthday Jesus

            What a year!!!  We started off the year getting healthy after our second attack of COVID end         of December 2022.  My brother Eddie and his son Nic came from Australia to visit and to attend a trade show in Las Vegas.  They stayed with us for a few days before flying to Taiwan to visit mom and Lovely.  Alan, Lovely’s husband also came in from Taiwan to visit us and his        mom and  brother/family in San Diego area.  James, my older brother, had gotten married on Christmas Eve 2022, in Vancouver, also came back for a visit with his new bride, Emma.  There was a lot of family around.  

I had planned a trip to Taiwan for mom’s birthday, and I flew out a few days before Eddie and Nic. However, Eddie caught COVID in Las Vegas, so he was quarantined in Lovely’s bedroom for a whole week. What a bummer.  We had a great time, hosted by Lovely and Isaiah, eating out, driving all around, all without Eddie.  We went to the zoo, to the night market, to get massages, and hair washing.  He couldn’t even get near our mom.  He  was finally negative the last few days of their visit.  

I ran the Super Bowl 5K and barely got through.  The hip was acting up.  Yup, the new one that I  had done April 2021.  It rained ALOT  in January and Feb.  It felt like the rain was never gonna  stop.  We went out to Anza Borrego, our annual trip to see the wild flowers in March.  Angel had  a  grand old  time.

In April, KR went on a trip of a lifetime, to the Mentawai Islands off of Indonesia.  He went with three other friends and had a great time surfing everyday.  It did take three flights and two boat  rides.  I  stayed home and worked, plus taking care of the animals.

We went out to Palm Springs for an over night in May and rode the tram up to Idyllwild  where there was still 5 feet plus of snow.  We hiked several miles, and I had a heck of time hiking with my running shoes.  

Kurtis FINALLY graduated from college in May, and got a FULL time job in August.  He is not sure he likes it but at least it is sort of in his field (Psychology).  Lovely and her two kids came in for a short visit in June.  I ran the annual 4th of July 5K.  I also ran our office (SBCHC) fund raiser 5K.  

Will, who married Diamond two years ago, is living in Long Beach working for Amazon.  Tyler is  still doing construction, and had another baby but we have not seen them yet.  Karl is retired from doing dentistry for pay, but he volunteers at my MediCal clinic doing root canals and difficult extractions.  I still work part time, although I gave up the private practice portion of my practice in August.  It was just getting too much to handle working at two offices.   Besides MEDICARE is next year and I am thinking of hanging up the drills.  

We still have Angel, the crazy pitbull, MiniMoo the wonder kitty and BunBun the stray Balinese plus five hens.  KR is still doing bee work, but only has one hive in the back yard now.  I still love to run, but the joints are complaining all the time, so I do a bit of bike riding.   We did many Ciclavia  this year, riding all around Los Angeles area.  

We still attend Branch of Hope church here in Torrance.  Wishing you contentment now and always.

Monday

 Time  sure goes by fast.

KR had screening, and I just cannot believe I spent the whole day cleaning and doing laundry, changing sheets and vacuuming and cooking.  I made oxtail and KR liked it very much.  He came home for lunch as he said he had a 2 hour lunch and took a short nap.  

I also wished Lovely HAPPY birthday, at midnight her time.  

I biked for 8.6 miles and  went to Sarah's to pick up some soup.  

I did some bible reading before going to bed.

Sunday Mary Eileen and Violet birthday

 So  Ig ot  7 45 ofs leep  and KR  took Angel  to walk and I s tayed home.   Corrina came  over with Helen  and  they were going to Lake Elsinore, just  close to where we were headed

We left about  11  15 to go to  Temecula for Violet's Birthday party.  We stopped for coffee and was about a minute late. She saw us at  the door and I guess we didn't get the surprise part right.  But we had a good time.  Mimi and Cade and Jay and a friend of Mimi's and another friend of Violet and Violet's boyfriend Bob was there,.  The singer Mimi hired came and sang a bunch of songs and we danced.  We had pizza and chicken wings and cake and left too late so KR was driving into the sun the whole drive.

I had taken Stray Kitty (whose name was suppose to be Buddy) to Carson shelter after messaging several people that he was ailing and needed help NOW.  Andrea from NextDoor msg me that she volunteers there and Ashley from the shelter will take the cat.  Well........

Stray Kitty passed away, in the afternoon.  I am just so sad that I could NOT save him.

I went to Costco for gas for the Honda, and the line was long.  I dropped the cake off at Vanessa's and parked the car and wished Mary a happy birthday.  Sean was there and they were having dinner.  I ran about a mile and half and came home.  

Corrina and Helen were here looking over the boxes.  They didn't have time out in Lake Elsinore.  KR cooked some vegetables and Kurt  had  some pizza  we brought home and KR went to bed early.  I was in bed by 9 30.

What a day.  

Saturday

 and  it is SUNDAY night and I just   don't recall

Seems like  I   have to l ook back on  photo  or fitbit to figure out what really happened

Early in the morning we went walking up Fire Trail.  The city crew was busy clearing the dry brushes.  I guess  fire abatement was in order before the  fire starts?  But  it is winter

I found a cat that  was eating at the outside bowl and then when I went out to see if he or she was still around, he was just sitting by the camelia and I grabbed him and found that  he had this   weird collar on.  Turns out it was a collar from Carson  Shelter.  Long  story short, I msg on NextDoor  as to what that tag on t he collar might be.  I brought the  cat into Western  Vet  on Crenshaw and they scanned and said the cat belongs to someone who has an  address in Long Beach.

THEN WHAT IS THE CAT DOING HERE?

I tried to feed it but it won't eat.  I placed the cat in the  bathroom downstairs with  food and water.  Nope.

KR went to  Costco  then to FM then to YMCA tree lot and got us a BEAUTIFUL 7  foot tree.  We docorated it with Kurt and Corrina  in  attendance.  The dark gray kitty actually came out and walked around a little.

Friday and the Village Dental Party

So KR had a meeting with the Valor coach at 6 30 so he was out of the house early and he took his surfing stuff with him so he can go right after.  I did a lot of cleaning, including Roombaing the whole top floor and wiping all the counters.  

I even went and walked/ran the dog to the park.   She didn't want to go but I dragged her.  Then I ran the alleys.  My hip was pretty sore. That makes three runs this week. I think I will cool it a bit. Besides I was doing 14.5 min mile.  Very slow.

I went out to lunch with Carole and bought some gift cards for Rebekah.  50 dollars worth.  She does not seem to make much money, so I thought it would help a little.

We went to the  Riviera Dentist Party,  hosted by Greg Shvartsman, which we were NOT invited but we bought our own drinks, and crashed the party.  We did NOT stay for the raffle.  There was a 50" TV too!!  I did meet the rep for several vendors, like Nobel and  another  one that  makes bone plugs that  I  might ask  for free stuff. 

We came home and KR  took Angel for a walk and I cooked pork chops and they had it with the left over couscous and potatoes.  Kurt then went to spend the night at Corrina's

Thursdad MUST be work

 I had two  7 am patients.  Both are kiind of prissy and PITA

KR came in for his RCT and one patient had COVID and the other one just needs to have crown bildup on the RCT that KR did a week ago.  The tooth was really hallow.  I think I used three compules of composite before it was closed up.  I also saw Diamond and did $4 which w as a large decay under MOD amal,.  I took out the amal and placed MTA near the pulp and placed composite over the top.  She will prolly need a crown.  Later.  I gave her 50 dollars to go to El Super for groceries and she bought 46 bucks of stuff.  Mostly fruit and vegetables.  She should have bought meat for cooking at home.

I stopped at El Super and bought meats.  I then cooked some chicken soup with the vegetables we got from  FM.  

KR had THREE BEERS today and was asleep when I got  home.  We went down to the beach  to watch the sunset.  No green today

I ate the left over chicken salad sandwich and KR had chicken soup and Kurt worked and came home about 6

Wednesday

 It is Farnaz's birthday.  And Ian's birthday.  And Wyatt's birthday.  And Mutt Lee passed away in 1998 or 99.  So long ago.  December 3, two years ago Gracie passed away.   

KR goes to screening and I go to office meeting. He got off pretty early and went surfing.  Said that it was fun.  I walked   around then eighbor  looking for more stuff to  give to Steven.  The guy around the corner.  I  also went for a 2.7 mile   run  in t he  alley.  Didn't  see anything.   I also biked  3 miles around t he  neighborhood.  

KR had  Del Taco  for  lunch and dinner.  Kurt had work  all day.

Tuesday

 So I tried to get KR to go to the screening but he  said no. So I  went

He had Bible Study and came home and I left for lawndale school.  We  started right on  time, and got  done  about 1.   KR was asleepw hen i came  home.

I went over to the house around the corner and there were more clothes for me to bring to Steven.  I  also got the Amazon delivery containers  out of the dumpsters in the alley and he wanted some of those.  KR took Angel down to the beach and Kurt was at work.  He didn't start until about 12

We had Bible Study and it was discussion of the Hot Topic; CHURCH and STATE.

It was a very  lively discussion.

Nice Day Monday

 I always like Monday when Andrea comes to clean.

Of course I got the house ready by taking out the chicken cage and trying to vacuum some of the feathers.  Kurt called in sick and did not go to work,   I gave him two dayquil  and he sounded much better.

After KR's Monday morning group, and after Andrea came, we took Angel to the Fire Road and then stopped for Bagels.  We still cannot get the free coffee because we could not pay with a gift card.

When KR took a nap, I rode around for  5.5 miles and then picked up a lot of clothes from the neighbor  around the corner and dropped off at Steven's. They are moving, and  the house is an ABSOLUTE mess. The drapes were shredding and falling off the rods and the carpets were a mess.

We had left over dinner and read a bit and went to bed.

 

Ciclavia Sunday 12/3/2023

 So we didn't go to church.  KR first walked Angel up the Fire Road.  I didn't go and just got ready.  

Corrina did not go as she had to work at the Dojo.  We left about 9 and drove up t o the eastern end of the route.  We rode about 12 miles and  got a bunch of freebies.

We stopped at Jim Dandy's for fried chicken.  We also got some fried clams.   We ate heartily and then they went and took a nap.  I did not, and s tarted cleaning for Andrea tomorrow.  KR took Angel for a walk and I cooked  some breakfast  steaks.  Corrina came over and KR watched some football.  

Kurt bought some stuff from Amazon and one of which was this interesting lighter.  

We took a shower and after reading some Bible,  and went to bed.  

Saturday 12/2/2023

 We were up not  too early.  At least I  was not.  According to my watch, got  8.5 hours of sleep with 85 sleep score.  WHICH IS VERY GOOD

I did Kurt's laundry and he came home after spending the night at Corrina's and hung the laundry.  

We went to Harbor Rock Open House in Lomita and had some breakfast/brunch of eggs and pancakes  and bacon and fruit.  Very good.  Dan is doing good with women.  He needs another resident though. The house is old and the back yard more dirt than anything.  

We went to FM and didn't get much.    Some nice strawberries though from Gaytan Farm.

KR had a nap and I tried to sleep no go.  I did ride around the alleys and stopped around the corner.  This guy is cleaning out his house and I got a fan and a heater and some other stuff.   

We had left over pork chops and steak and rice from Sarah.  

Tomorrow is Ciclavia.  Last one of the year but Corrina cannot join us.   She has to work a birthday party at the Dojo

Friday FIRST day of December

 What happened to Friday?

I think I threw up.  Yup, I got up and was not feeling too well so KR says ok lets see and we started driving and I said NOPE let me go home and I came home and threw up and felt a little better.

What is up with t hat?

And this computer is driving me crazy with the spacing.  Sometimes no space, and sometimes one, and sometimes TWO !!!

KR took  Angel either to the beach or fire road. I don't remember.

After lunch, I  went for a run.  2.5 miles around the alleys at 14.25 pace.  Very slow.  My hip was hurting a little too.  Even with the stretching, with the bands, still hurt.

We went to the beach for a walk, and he stopped and bought some two buck chuck, which is now 3.5$ from Trader Joe

I was in bed by 8 45

Thursday IF it is Thursday it is work day

 I didn't  set an alarm but 6 05 i was up.  KR was still asleep.  I quickly got dressed and out.  The new extern Jacob is there.  Diamond finally came in at 10 and  we took FMX and I cleaned her teeth.  She has  some real problems.  But we will take care of it.  She was good, a bit tender with the cavitron

I got done almost 1 and came home and KR was asleep and I went for a ride at 1 30  only 4 miles. Then KR and I went to walk  Angel at the Fire trail  and i did  some stretching exercises while we walked.

KR had left over ribs  and vegetables. 

Kurt had work, KR thinks about 12  to 6

KR also fixed my f lat tire AGAIN yesterday.  I ran over some glass I think

Also this computer is  driving me  nuts.  Can't type,  think the  keys are dirty and should blow some air through maybe would clean so the space bar would only  have  ONE space instead of alot of  spaces.

We went  walking the  dog  together.   I think I  am getting fat because  I am not  walking out there with KR at least  once a day so w e  went up to the  fire road.  That was in the morning.  I also went to  99 cent store to   buy some batteries for the garage door opener.  It worked !!!   Now I just need to  find all the other ones and sync them to the garages, at mom's

Then Ia lso  went for a run when KR took Angel for a walk  in  the afternoon.   It was a  slow run at 13.44  but for 2.7 miles

Tuesday and it is FM !!!

I could not get out of bed until 6:15.  KR had just left.  Now I am a little under 110, at about 109.5 in the morning which is good.  Getting TOO  fat over Thanksgiving.

Today is Abby's birthday.  She is 24 I  think.

KR took Angel for a walk and I went to see Dr Wong and Dr Liu.  The acupuncture always hurt a little but I think I fell asleep.  Dr Wong really worked on my hip and right knee. I also went to see another used car for  Will.  This was  a 2013 Toyota  Corolla for  5900$  with 110,000 miles, but the car was  FILTHY !!  He had started cleaning it but the area between the seats was full of crumbs and grime.  NOPE no can do.  Also the mirror cover was gone on one side.   He says he would sell quick,  I guess, but I just cannot get this much dirt out.  

I cooke some vege  soup from FM.  Very  very good.  

KR took a nap and took Angel up to fire road.  I delivered some vege to Fariba and Nancy and Sarah.  

We had  Bible Study.  Chapter 15 of this rather boring  book.   The Excellencies of God

Monday

KR wanted to go surfiing so he was up early and left by 6 30.  HOWEVER, surf died down from last night so he came back.  Kurt had work at 8:30 and then came home a bout 11 and left again at 12 30 and went back to work.  

Doug (from KR's Monday morning group) came over and fixed the plugged line and all is well, and I ran the dishwasher and it did not plug up.  Doug was going over to Chris Cannon's next.  I was going to do laundry but waited until tomorrow.  

I cooked pork roast on the BBQ and had a conversation with Dr Wong.  He text me his daughter's mouth  pictures and I sent him to Arash, and Dr Wong has an appt tomorrow.  She should have had first phase ortho, as #9 is in crossbite with the lower anterior.  He has an appt with Dr Arash tomorrow.  Arash thanked me for the referral.  

We walked Angel to the park

KR took a nap after two beers and took Angel for a walk after nap.

Sunday

 I slept in late.  Like 7 am.  We walked Angel to Veterans Park.  Kurt came home for church.  My back is still whinging me.  KR went to church early for usher duty.

Saturday

It was NOT too warm, kind of cloudy day.  FM didn't have ANYTHING either.  No lettuce for the girls.  Buffy is still with us.  I have to make sure she eats, by feeling her crop, before I put her to bed.  

I got 8.5 hours of sleep but the sleep score was 85

We ate more left over for lunch and I cooked the prime rib, one bone, for dinner with garlic.  Kurt went up to Corrina's for over night.

Jaime M came over and tried to clear the sink.  No go.  The plumber is coming on Monday.  I brought a bunch of stuff to mom's and cleaned up the garage a bit and vacuumed.  

I am going to see a car tomorrow.  A newer Honda.  Still trying to get a car for Will

I accidentally wore the hearing aids to the shower.  I really like them, as they are BLUE TOOTH, so I can listen to books on tape without wearing external headphones.  

Friday

We never  shop  Black  Friday so it  is just a  regular day for us.

While KR walked Angel, I biked 8.9  miles, first to drop off food for  Deron, and of course he says he is not getting any sleep at all and has no appetite.  He does not look skinny, and he looks like he is getting some rest.  But hey, you cannot convince him that he is sleeping.  I also rode the alleys, NOTHING to be  had.  

We had left over,  and  KR tried to clear the sink, ended up getting greasy food all  over the garage floor.  

Kurt had Corrina spent the night after their night  out to Culver City and they didnt get up until late.  Most of the pecan pie got given away.  

I did some stretching while KR watched a lot of football on FUBO tv.  I need to figure  out which statiion to subscribe to.  

I was in bed by 8 45 and got NINE and  half hours of sleep, but the sleep score was only 79

Thanksgiving Day 11/23/2023

Kurt was up late again, so we got there barely and the Stars Spangle Banner was sung and  OFF WE WENT

I did  it !!!!   With a back brace and  under 10 min per mile.  So many  people

My watch said first  mile, 9 58,  second mile 9 55, third mile  9 30  WOWOWOWO

Then it was fast and furious to get the turkey in the oven.  I loosely stuffed it so it can bake faster.   At 3:35, the temp was about 165 so 15 min later it was DONE !!!!  I took the other two stuffing to mom's oven  to bake.  

Jaime was the first one here and he said he had a loose  crown.  We took out the IRM and KR  glued it  back.  Everyone came all at once.  Helen  made  great mashed potatoes.  There  was  hardly any left  when everyone took s ome left over home.   Harmony made this really good  korean spicy cucumber.  

Will and Diamond left and Diamond left her purse.  The  Kaplan kids  came over with a pecan pie.    I  posted online and everyone wants a piece.

Kurt and Corrina cleaned up and then went to a party in Culver City.  Corrina spent the night.   They got  back about 1 am.  

Ellen  text me about 8 and asked if we were still  going, I said NOPE  going  to bed soon.  

WHAT A BLESSED THANKSGIVING !!!!

Wednesday and it is PIE cooking day

I put the pumpkin Yuli gave me and steamed them and made two pumpkin pies.  They turned out pretty good.  I also sauteed the vege for the stuffing and cooled and ready for stuffing tomorrow.

KR walked Angel after she barked for hours and   KR  tried to shoot the s-thing but no go and it went  on  like all morning.  

I baked the pies and got things ready.   KR  dropped off Charity's turkey on  his way down to the beach.   

KR went diving and got  five lobsters.

I went for a 8 mile ride, not much to get around the alleys.

I also cooked some broccoli with zuks and red cabbage for KR's dinner.

We were in  bed by 9 30 and  I g ot  up at 6 30 for the  run

Tuesday and it is a work day

 So I had to work for Monica.  Don't  know where she went but t he day was  not  bad.  I got there by 7:45 and no extern so we worked HARD.  Most of the  patients showed up and KR went  and picked up  Will and we took  an almost  FMX and he has at least 10 cavities.  I am so sad that he needs so much work and there  is so much calculus I had to use cavitron for a LONG TIME.  I also did  some caries excavation and put some Limelight on  B of 19 and then Riva over the top to hold it for now.  He will need so  many SDF  too.  

I didn't h ave time  to drive him back  to Long  Beach so  i  ordered a Lyft for him. 

I also  saw  some weird external  resorptions on a  kid.  

I  got done at  a little after 4 and  went  to Ralphs  and  got  a bunch more food  and a turkey for Charity.  She said she and  Harmony and maybe her parents  will come  to  our dinner.   That would be fun.

I had a hard time sleeping.  However, back down to  under 110   GOOD

KR went diving and  limited    Lots of lobsters.,  We gave two  to Patty  two to Maribel (the next day)  and we froze some

Monday and it is FAST and furious

 I was up at  6 15.  Got  8 hours of sleep last night.   Cleaning and cleaning before Andrea and Maribel come to clean.  Yup, getting the chicken cage  out, and putting things away that I let accumulate the last  two weeks.  Kurt went to work early and he was up early too, by 7.  I tried driving the Prius to South Bay hearing appt at 9 but the car would not start.  I rode my bike over and picked up the Honda and drove there.  Matt Young was  the doctor who examine me and paired Liz Kaplan's hearing aids to my hearing.  WOW I CAN HEAR SO MUCH BETTER!!!

Came home and brined the turkey.  Ate some soup and tried NOT to eat too much.  I wt in at 112 this  morning.  TOO HEAVY.  With the TURKEY day eating coming up, I need to be down to maybe 107 to  be able to really eat.   

I bought bagels, and had a cup of free coffee.

I biked about  8.2 miles and picked up a comforter.

KR text me and said he was on his way home.  He got home about 4:30 and we walked Angel to the park.  She would not go with Kurt yesterday.  

KR had the left over from Patty,  El Tarasco delicious food.   

Sunday

 I am getting  FATTER

I must slim down but  the eating of  all the  yummy food that we keep getting.

Back up: KR left for Santa Barbara/Hollister Ranch this morning about 7:15 and I changed the sheets.  Kurt was home all day, as  Corrina and Helen were up in Big Bear doing maintenance things so we watched the sermon online.  My back was still whinging me, so I wore the back brace all day.  

THEN:  Patty across  the street brough  over LOTS and lots of food.  It was David's birthday, and they had left over rice and beans and cooked fajita like vegetables, and salsa and  chips and beef and chicken.  There was so much food.  Kurt  ate some for breakfast/lunch and made some tacos for his  lunch tomorrow.  I gave away alot of it to BNY but there is still a lot left.  

I went for a bike ride, picking up the tree skirt that I dropped off at the wrong house and went to the correct house.  I also rode around the alley and got these nice Christmas plates.  There were some glasses but  I could not carry them on the bike.

I also msg this guy Jonathon on Market Place for a car.  He goes to Kings Harbor Church.  I was gonna go see the car but he could not be bothered to msg me back after he had sold it !!  He is a friend of Dan Bradford and Jason Flynte too.  What a way to act.

Saturday and it is TRAC dinner

 So  KR found out a few  days ago that the TRAC dinner was tonight.

He took  Angel on a walk  as my  back was bothering me.   Maybe it  was the  dancing last night.  Dang.

Kurt slept for almost 13 hours, and got up and did his laundry and empty the dishwasher.  I had taken some of the plastic plates home and washed them.  I ran another load and will save those dishes and use them until they fall apart.  

KR went to church for the dinner and got ready for his trip tomorrow.

Kurt was suppose to enroll for his  health insurance, and OF COURSE he procrastinated and it was due  by last night and he could not get in to enroll.  I told him to beg and see if he could still enroll.  Sometime that kid drives me nuts.   He just puts things off until  the last minute.

Friday Gooch party

 We  were up  not  too  early,  at least  I was not

We  walked the dog at the Service Road and after  the rain, it  was not too sandy, and it was not too cold.   

I cleaned up some of the stuff from the linen closet and took some stuff to the  garage.  There is always  too  much stuff in the garage.   I biked  9 miles andt hen again after  KR  went to bed  6 miles

My back was pretty good and then it was not.

We walked Angel to the park and then got dressed for the Gooch party.  40 year vow renewal at KHC and there must have been over 100 people there.  Jason presided over the vows and we had Guilliano  sandwiches with Randy's donuts and salad. What a great  party.  All  the Gooch's were here.  Sarah/Chris,  Leah/Henry and the grandkids.

We  were home pretty early.  My back was sore.

Went to bed at 10 and got up at almost  7

Working Thursday

Tracy called me yesterday saying that my 7 am canceled.   So I slept in and left at 7:30.  My 8 am was there already and we started. KR came in to do two root canals.  First one #8 and second one #19.  It took him from 9:30 to almost 12.   He is a good man!!!

I was done about 1 and today is Neda's last day.   Next week, no extern, as Western is on vacation.  Man, Tuesday might be REALLY  bad.  

Got a text from Will, he just got a TracPhone and a new number.  Diamond got her mom's car so they have a car now.  Now I am not in such a hurry to get them a car.  I text  Marcus to see if he would sell the Toyota Corolla for 5500$ he said no so I thanked him and will keep looking on Market Place or  CarVana or something.  

Wednesday and BIG (sort of) rain

 So  it is suppose to rain and it did

We w ere up  early and it was cold.   I looked at the heater andthe batteries were done so I  put new  ones  in and says it i s 64 but it feels like 54

We will have to turn on the heat soon

KR went  to walk Angel and I stayed home.  I cooked some very good bacon with asparagus and made a good sandwich for Kurt.  He didn't go to work until 12.  KR dug the root out and filled two cans of green  waste.  

The rain started about  11 30 and just sprinkled first then got heavier and at one point, just poured.   I went  to Carson to look at a car for Will and  Diamond.  It is a Civic and they wanted 6000$ wow so much for a used car.   

I stopped at Red Robin for some pastry.  Then to Numero Uno for some groceries.  They had remodeled the store.

Got home and picked up spaghetti sauce from Sarah and  KR made spaghetti and had it for dinner.  I also bought a Roku stick from Walmart.  I plugged it into the TV downstairs  and KR watched a really cheesy  western.

Tuesday CHIRO and FM

 If it is  Tuesday, it  must be bible study and FM.

Monday

 KR is a little more friendlier.  But  I think he is drinking too much.  He had two 16 oz IPA today,  I trieda  sip did not like it.

KR had his Monday morning group  

We went to Veteran's Park and Angel  had a great time chasing the s things.  I made turkey soup after buying some celery from the Korean store.  KR pruned the mulberry tree and  took down the peach tree.

I could walk better today.  My back not so sore.   

I biked when he went down for a nap.  Almost 11 miles. Didn't see anything good in the alley. Teresa Ho dropped a lot of food off last night.  Kurt had work all day, except about an hour in between clients.  He  said he needs a new job.  I cut out something from the paper  that he  can apply t o.  But who knows.

Tyler  has been s ending  nasty   texts  when KR asked him to apologize for h is behavior past May. I don't  know what is with that boy.   He thinks we have done him wrong,  but who knows what is in his mind.    

So I guess he is not coming to visit  anytime soon.

The Ingram Wedding Cameron and JT

So we left Saturday afternoon a bout 12 30 for the wedding.  Violet got us a room at Pechanga, very nice  856  on  the 8th floor over looking the pools and the golf course.  We got to the wrong place first, the casino and the hotel are at separate ends.  There were so many people gambling and it was huge.  Even has a people mover to  move people so they don't have to walk as much.  The prize of the day was an Espresso Maker. Evidently if you join the 'CLUB" you get a prize.

Geez, maybe that is why Violet has so many of these gifts.  She gave us a counter top griller,  plus a dutch oven, and a back pack cooler.  The things are really cool but she is gambling too much, according to Mimi, she has not quit.

We quickly got dressed and drove back to Temecula Creek Inn,  which is only 2.5 miles up  the road.  Phil  and  Jackie  were  there already so was Joost and his wife.  We took a polaroid and wrote a msg for the bride and groom and kissed Denise.  That dang Mark.  He should have been there.  Almost  three  years that he is gone.   

As soon  as the sun went down it was COLD.  So cold that my feet were frozen.  I wore Emma's silver shoes.  And they made me very dizzy as they were high heel  platform shoes.   The  ceremony was great and  the  food  was very good.   Buffet style filet  mignon or chicken with  potatoes  and asparagus and salad.  KR had  much  to drink in my opinion, two beers and maybe five glasses of wine.  We got in a fight back at t he hotel   We always get in a fight when he drinks.   We  slept on separate beds.

Sunday morning,  I guess in his  eyes I was not acting right,  so he said lets go home and go to church.  I had wanted to go see the Osritch farm, but he drove home like a bat.  We got home about an hour.  I even had  time  to put the  turkey in the oven before we left for church. Jun and Corrina stayed over and they were having breakfast of  eggs and cinnabons.  

We came back and KR  had four turkey  tacos  and took a  nap after  some IPA  beer.  Kurt has a lot of alcohol left over.   At least KR won't have to buy beers for awhile.   

He walked  Angel while  I went  on a bike ride. 

My back started hurting Friday  and is still hurting me today. 

Saturday 11/11/2023

 CAMERON'S Wedding

We were up early and KR got a squirrel.

He took Angel to the fire road and brought the Honda back from mom's.  I washed the sheets and asked Kurt to make  our  bed.  

KR  went to  FM and gota

FRIDAY and my back is no good

So I got  up and the back felt a little weird.  That SHOULD be my clue NOT to do anything.  But NOOOOOOO

At least the Prius is now clean.

I go get a car wash at Costco a nd  then clean my car after.  Which involved a lot of bending  and wiping.  My back did not like it and all dayI did not do anything but lay around and try not to get more hurt.   I could not   ride my bike and walking  was a pain so I did not go walking with KR at all.  I did cook some  fajita with ground beef for Kurt's dinner.

We met Joe and  Kimel at Black Bear Diner for dinner and it was grand fun.  Then service was not too good  because the server was way over worked.   We met them at 6 and didn't get back until 8 30.  We  must do that again, except in Signal Hills.

Kurt put the chickens away and went up to Corrina to watch TV and he spent the night.   

Buffy had a couple of seizures and is still eating.  However in the afternoon I  could not  find her,  she  had  walked all the to the corner by Ramons and could not find her way back.

I only got 7 hours of sleep last night. 

WORKING Thursday

So KR had to wake me up this morning.  I thought I would be up myself but nope.  But it was easy getting to work on time. Jose Ramos was already there  and his crown fits like a charm.  I cemented it. I didn't get off until 1 had a late patient.  

Kurt went to work at 9, said they sent him an email to be in  the office,  at 2 yesterday afternoon.  I don't understand  why he thinks he should not check his email regularly.  He didn't get home until 7.  He got offered health insurance and he wanted me to pick for him.   Nope.  I told him to do some homework or ask HR.  

I cooked some very delicious pork chops, and vegetables for dinner.

KR's Valor School meeting was over four hours.

I am getting fat. No longer under 110 in the morning.  Needs to stop eating the spicy potato chips.  Best thing is NOT to buy them.

I got 8.5 hours of sleep with  sleep score of 81

 So KR  went  surfing,  and I  went  to  the office  meeting  and Kurt went to work.    The meeting went long  and we talked about all kinds  of stuff,

I went to Costco  Business but here was NO  GUAVA except in cans.   I went to NorthGate   grocery and  bought 150 worth of gift cards for the two families that I  offered to get stuff for on   BNT.

KR  said there was  no surf and  he had lunch and then napped.  I did not nap and went for a 5K run !!!!

YUP    I DID

I  did 12 min pace almost for three miles.

We walked Angel to the park and then jacuzzi and bed.

Kurt didn't get home until 6 30.

Tuesday and a day of lounging NO !

 So  KR had his bible  study and was up early.  I was up early too by 5 35

We went to the beach and walked Angel to Veterans Park.  They were mowing the lawn so not too many  squirrels.

After KR went to FM I went  fora ride of only  2.2 miles.  We got a lot  of  bell peppers and  tomatoes  which I  gave away,   Only one cantaloupe that Buffy enjoyed.

KR had a nap and I went for a ride but the watch  died so I didn't get  the milage

Bible study w as good.  Pam baked  some yummy s tuff.  We h ad  Anita, Pam, Karen,  Mike, George, KR and me

I was t red.

Monday and Andrea cleaning

 I just love it  when   Andrea and Maribel come to clean.  

I was up by 5 and KR had Zoom with t he Monday group.  On the news says Texas Loosey restaurant went up in flames.  We drove by on t he  way to the beach  and  it  was just a mess.  Dr Joe next door  was also half burnt up.   Poor guy.  All  his  equipment  gotta   be a total lost.  The  smell and the  water.

We dropped off some masks (N95) at Trent's office and some some at Tom Omoto's  office.   And later during  the  day I  dropped  some off at Puche's  lab.

Andrea and  Maribel did a great job.   Kurt said his 10 30 canceled so he came home for lunch and a short nap.  

I also rode for 9.7 miles

KR  watched some  football and  we were in  bed by  8

Church and our RUN SBCHC Sunday

 So day  light savings was  last night.   THANK  goodness  so we  had  another hour o f sleep, kind of.

We were up early  and I  was ready for THE  RUN.

I got Kurt up and KR agreed to be the  photographer and took Angel up with us.  Corrina  came down the hill and there was an accident  on  Hawthorne and  all the traffic was rerouted so she was late, but  the race was also delayed 15 min.

We were off  about 8 15.  I  had stretched a lot before and my hip was   NOT bothering  me.  I just could  not breathe and  the  horse poop w as not  too bad,  but the  dust was very  dusty.   I finished about  31 50 which was  pretty good.   I  was so so  exhausted.

KR had to   leave earlyfor church s o  Michael Gooch  drove me  and  Kurt home.

Our team  was named  of  course  YBNrml.   There  was me, Kurt, Corrina, Tony Yeh, Kym  S andher two kids Maddie and  Joe, Mike Gooch,  Charity but   Harmony didn't come.  She  didn't feel  well.  

After church,  KR  stayed and h ad chili and  didn't wait  fort he  pie. T here was the  contest. He took anapa nd  then took Angel for a walk.   I  was  too tired.  We were  in bed, at  least I w as  by 8

Care Harbor Saturday

So we w ere up early and got there by  7:05.  We were prolly one of the earliest ones  there. There were  some old hands,  but a lot of new.  It was at LA TradeTech,  which has changed ALOT since I took the checker course for Lucky market years and years  ago.  

Marisa Watanabe from Western Dental School came and so did Hubert Chan, and neither wanted to be the lead so I gave the orientation talk and it gots tarted.  It was really slow in the beginning,  then started moving.   We could not get the printer to bridge to the lap top at first, then Hubert got it working.

I  did some triage, and answered a lot of questions and then at 12 we went and had  El Pollo Loco chicken lunch and came home.  KR took a nap and I tried.  I went for a ride, not too far, as tomorrow is the race.  

Katherine Crookston lost her PFM on #4 and came over and I cemented it back with IRM. 

Kurt did his laundry  and not much else.   We had spaghetti and meat sauce for dinner.   

11/3/2023 Friday

 It was aw arm  day again

KR   and I went to the  servcice  road  to walk Angel.  The crew  was cleaning all t he brushes aroundt he road and a lot of small trees were taken down.

KR  also made spaghetti sauce with the last of the canned tomatoes I made

Kurt  had work early i n  El Segundo but got off early a s thelast kid canceled and he went for  a  swim

KR  went to  drop soup  off  for Maria  and  I  dropped  the Prius  off for new tires.   I got two of the  cheapest and it wass till 188$ out the  door.   I w ent  to Chase to  pay  James' credit card bill, and had to run  tot he Chase  off of  Carson. I then   stopped at the Last  Chance  Store.  T here was so  much  interesting stuff  but so many people I just couldn't do  it.

I stopped at Ralphs to pee  and received the  text that my car was ready.  Went  backt o  pick upthe car.

After lunch I  went biking for  9.3 miles.   No  wonder  my arches were sore.

Bed was 8  and fell asleep a t  8 15 and got up a t 5 30

Working November 11/2/2023

So today's  work was not  that  bad.  However we had an interesting case.  Yesterday one of the kids came  in  had lots  of decay, but both doctors   Dr Desai and Dr Neda missed that the pt had  both R and 27 at the same time, and should have diagnosed R to be extracted.  We are suppose to talk about that.  Too many missed diagnosis.  

I  was done about  12 30 a nd KR  had text  me to  buy carrots.  Ended up he was asleep and he  could have gone and  bought the carrots.  He spent two hours  he said with the guy from Valor and didn't have time.  Yeah right.

We walked Angel t othepark.   He  made the very good  chicken  soup.

Kurt had work from 11 til about 6 and  said he has to be in El Segundo by 8 tomorrow.  

I drove Will all the way home.  He called me about 6:44 so early enough to drive him home.  We had a nice chat.

IT IS NOVEMBER !!!!!

 And it was 84  degrees today.   

KR took Angel to the beach and I stayed  home.  Started a little bit of the Halloween stuff gathering so we can start on the Thanksgiving stuff.  Kurt went to work early, by 9 and I made his lunch.  I went for a bike ride for 7 miles.   Then we had lunch with Brandon Bernstein.   He explained FIA and why we should not  get into that.   

KR took a nap and I sat outside in the HOT sun.   When he took Angel for a walk I took a nap.  

We then  had  more left over for dinner  Tomorrow I  have work  

HALLOWEEN Tuesday, 10/31/2023

It was a WARM day

KR went to bible study and brought back a lot of donuts.  Kurt didn't have work until 12 so he was around.   I did a bike ride and a run.  My hip was bothering me and I had to ice it.   I went to chiro appt at  Dr Wong and he worked on my TMJ, plus my neck.  I stopped at Nina/Deron's and sync the phone with the watch.  He slept over 7 hours.  He didn't want to keep the watch, and I reassured him that if he wants the watch to let me know.  Nina flew home.   

KR went to FM and got a lot of lettuce and some cantaloupe.  Buffy is still with us and eating well.  The  girls are not laying eggs.  Maybe one or 2 per week.  

KR took Angel to Lunada Bay and got some soil  from Jerome.  

The kids started coming about 6 and Mary came over for a look see.  We walked over to Juniper street and there were hundreds of kids.  I even got a can of Coors beer from Kevin.  

We finally turned off the light past 8:30

Monday

 Easy day

KR had his  group and then he went to  his post op appt with the urologist and then  we went  to the  church   service for Barrie Olson's service.  

After that we came home for lunch and took a nap.  KR took Angel to the  fire road and I took a  nap.

I did the  laundry and Kurt went to work at 12.  He isn ot getting enough  hours and he wants a new job.  Told him to look for one before he quits.

Melissa did  not get the CDA job and wanted to borrow some money.  But  I just cannot  loan her any more money  without KR getting  mad.

Sunday and ArroyoFest

 We were up early and  Corrina got here at 7 am.  I was a little late.  Kurt spent the   night a t Bobby's TOO MUCH DRINKING he says.  So he didn't go with us.  We loaded mybike  onto Corrina's and drove to Ave 26 on ramp.  There were so many people.  We didn't know there was a 5k and 10, so there were so many people.  We started on Ave 26 and rode all the  way to the end Glenarm.  7 mniles one way.

It was so so fun to see the fwy heing so so clean and no  cars and we stopped and took photos.  There were thousands of bikes.  We stopped at Los Tres Cochinitos Restaurant off of N Main Street for tacos and burritos and the fixings,  It was amazing.  So many people, not an empty table so we had it to go.  

We came home and ate,.  We all took a nap.  Corrina went home.

We went to Barrie's memorial at the LightHouse on Torrance Blvd.  Then we stopped at Deron's and sync the fitbit watch.  He got 7.5 hours of sleep.  PLENTY.  So he will wear it tonight  and see how he sleeps.

Nina is so relieved that he isi now a believer that he is  sleepingl

We ate some dinner and went to bed.,  Thgere was food at the Lighthouse and I ate too much.

Saturaday

 KR goes to t he  mens breakfasta church and says  onlyabout 12 people showed up.   He brought back  a niice burrito a ndthekids a te it.  Corrina spentt he night and  then went  tow ork.

KR and Iw ent  to the FM  and gota lot of lettuce.   

We took Angel to the   park  and she  chased  some s things.

We got lots of tomatoes and I gave them all away.

We  went to Fire Road for a walk and then had dinner of left over

It was a   nice day.  I also changed the sheets

Friday

 Kurt does not  go to work until 12.  He  is still  coughing.  

We were up and  KR took Angel to Access road.  I went to the Korean Store for some tendon and gum and asparagus.  I also went to the meat store by the Hearing aid place and spent 90 bucks on four small steaks.  KR is going to make fish and asparagus, and I will make the steaks.  I also went to Ralphs to get milk and beer and crackers.  

KR went for a bike ride and I rode around the alleys and got a lot of recycling for NH.  I rode about 7 miles.   

Thursday

 It i s  always  working. Today w as not bad.   I  got there by  6 45.  Maribel w as on vacation.  We had some  no show,  but we had a lot of cleaning to do.  Mary is very nice cleaned under the sink in  the lab.  KR came at 8 15 to do the extraction.  I had  one   whingy  patient.  We were done at 1, and I got home and KR was still up.  He had THREE BEERS  and took a nap.

I rode around and got a pilates ball.   We w ent out to Chart House to listen to a presentation about how to take care of our retirement funds,  Filet mignon beef and potatoes, and salmon w ith  rice, It was very good,  We learned about  FIA  and  made an appt with Brandon  to see  what he  thinks.

We were  in  bed by 9

Wednesday

 A real day for paying bills.

Nina was  here  overnight and she went back to Deron's.  We went for a walk  up fire trail.   KR took the soup over  to Maria and I went to  Ralphs and spent 68  bucks buying all kinds of  stuff.  Kurt went to take the certification test and passed.  He came home and  then went back to work.

I spent several hours  paying bills and  talking to insurance AAA.  We went out to Mexican Riviera with Carole and Mike.  It is  always  nice with them.   Place was busy. 

Tuesday

 Very Busy Day !!!!

KR had his group and I was really tired and could not get up.  I drove over to Freda's and got a bunch of bread that  I gave away.  Some to Martin and some to Kristina  and Some to Jeff when he came over to get the SDF that I could NOT find.  I have to get some from the clinic.

KR went to FM and then cooked the chicken soup for Maria and then to Valor meeting.  He was busy. He and the board had to talk to the husband and wife them that teach there and is having marital problems.  We also had to sign docs for the Kaplans about their will and I also had to go down to Redondo office to get the some sterilizer that they had donated and wanted out of the office.  I also got some parts of the lights that was not working, Midmark something.  I stored all in mom's garage.

I tried to nap, had a headache and then went for a ride headache still on.  We had dinner of chicken soup.  Nina came and spent the night saying that Deron's anxiety was wearing on her and she needed a good nights' rest.  

We went to bed about 9

Monday a day of rest

 I could not sleep and was up at 5 am.  KR had his Monday morning group and I did laundry and  cleaned,.  Andrea and Maribel  came and wee took Angel to the beach. It had rained a little but got warm at the beach.

Kurt went to work and wee stopped at the store for bananas and other stuff.  

KR ate and went to  sleep.  I went for a ride but didn't see anything interesting

Nina came over and we went for a walk after KR's nap to the Fire Trail.  Then we went to Chicken Maison for dinner,   Nina is trying to  help  her  brother Deron handle his depression and overall mental illness.

I am tired.  

Our North Carolina Trip

 So no work Thursday.   We flew out  to  North  Carolina.

The flight was at 8 so we left at 6 and Kurt drove the car home from Long Beach Airport.  The flight to  Houston was very full.  I took .5 klonipin and was asleep most of the way.   We were late landing but we ran to the next leg and it has not  even started loading yet.  We arrived at RDU and rode the shuttle  Budget to the rental car.  OH WOW, the line was so so so long.  KR said he heard someone say that if you had the app you can go to the short line.   I added the app and got our car.  It was a Blazer, a mid size SUV even though I asked for a subcompact. We drove out of there and found our hotel, La Quinta, by the airport. It was very nice.  

We had  a turkey and cheese sandwich on the plane so we were not too hungry.   We found a place to eat dinner, Big  Mike's BBQ.  It was GREAT.  The prices were cheaper  Three kinds of  meats and cold slaw, bread and beans.  I think all for 28 bucks.

The next day

FRIDAY  we were up and decided to go to William Umstead Park.  It was very nice.  We hiked almost three miles and saw the beautiful carved logl  We weent to Morgan Food Hall, but found out the Transfer Co Food Hall was suppose to be better so we drove up to the next one.  Then  it was  JC Raulston Arboretum for a nice look see.  We even found the  bee hives.  We stopped at Pullen Park and watched the train go around and the Merry go around.  It was a beautiful park.

Dinner was at Auntie May's house and her house keeper had cooked all the food.  There were so many dishes and we ate a lot.  We departed for Extend Stay America near by and WHAT A MISTAKE.  The  place was like a Motel 6 but worse.  In the Middle of the night, the next door neighbors were yelling and fighting.

SATURDAY  We decided to drive to the coast and started our 2 hour drive.  Stopping in Fayetteville, which was kind of small.  Had a nice sandwich and pecan pie in Wallace at the Burney's Sweets & More.  Then it was off to Wrightsville Beach.  I went for a   1.5 mile run, and KR swam and I slept.

That night we drove to Morrisville and had a fab Chinese dinner at G58 Chinese restaurant.  VERY FANCY.  Possibly the fanciest place in town.  Just us, and the relatives.  David, Anette, the kids Tera and Katherinee with their spouses, and Lulu and Auntie May.  Wow we were so delight to be invited.  The food was so so pretty, good tasting too.

We went back to the La Quinta.  It was more expensive, but worth it.

Sunday wee were up and went to Lake Crabtree in Cary NC.  It was a beautiful park with gazebo and a walk way and we drove around the lake for a look see.  Went back and returned the rental car.   Got t he shuttle to the airport and waited for  our flight.  

I took a little more med but could not sleep.  The flight was VERY f ull and it was very very cold.  I wore the beanie cap and was still cold.

We landed in Las Vegas and our flight was an hour delayed.  The airport is so so noisy and nasty.  We finally got home, Kurt   picked us up.

We were zonked and went to bed.  

Wednesday - the day before our trip

I changed the sheets, and KR took Angel for a walk.  It was a warm day and I tried to get the house in order before we left.  I rode my bike to deliver vegetables to Krista.  She came by yesterday and I forgotten  to put them out.  KR delivered more vegetables to Jennifer Morais off of Madison.  Kurt didn't  have work until 12:30.   

Will  called  me and said  that he went  to work and they told him  that he didn't have work, and if I mind  taking him to the bus stop or take him home.  I rode the bike to the garage and brought the Honda back  and loaded a box of his stuff (something we had saved for him) plus some food and took him home.  I gave him eggs and cereal and other kinds of food.  

KR had gone to try surfing, but it was no good.  We packed our suitcases and got ready.  KR took Angel again  and I stayed home.  I made good chicken soup with rice for lunch.  I checked in for  our  flight tomorrow. 

Bible Study Tuesday

 KR was up early, not me.  He had bible study  at church and  I didn't get up until past 6.  I  went to the office toget my night  guard case from New West, but it was not there.  What was in the package was the boxes and packeting material.  I called them a nd  Michelle  said that they would  send out ASAP, liike  should arrive by Tomorrow.  Should have arrived Monday but somehow was not sent out.

KR walked Angel and I vacuumed the garage and cleaned the house. KR went to FM and got lot of squash and tomatoes and bell peppers and I gave them  ALL AWAY, with the bags that Charity brought over. Thank goodness for those bags.  

Kurt didn't have work  until 11.  KR t ook a nap and I went on a 11 mile bike ride, getting some tasty  cereal straws and dropping off  vege   

I had chiro and then acupuncture and then Bible Study.   Mike,  George, Me,. KR  and Karl and Geralynn. Anita and Karen and Pam didn't  come.  It was a good study.  George brought cheese  and crackers and fruit and cookies.  What a man

Monday

 What a nice  easy day, kind of.

KR had Monday morning group and I started cleaning and laundry.   Kurt had 8 am work and he was so so tired.  Went to some birthday party and brought back TWO WHOLE TUBS of Panda Express shrimp and some egg rolls and vege plate.   I made him a nice turkey sandwich and off he went.  KR took Angel to  the beach and I just cleaned and cleaned.  

I took stuff to the garage and brought the vacuum back.  One of they Dyson here is not picking up anything so I brought the Hoover back.  I vacuumed downstairs and upstairs.  KR did the compost watering.  I went for a ride, about 7 miles only.    

SUNDAY Ciclavia Downtown Heart of LA

 We were  up early and KR took Angel for a  walk while I tried  to wake up.

Corrina came about 8 45  and we w ere finally on our  way by 9 20.  We parked by Figueroa and Venice,  just  at the  beginning  of  the ride.  The total mile today is suppose to be 15  and the temp was about 90

Kurt drove and KR drove.  It  was a very nice day and HOT. The theme  was HAWAIIAN  and we all wore leis  and  flowers in   our  hair(girls).  We had street tacos and  man my stomach was  aching about half hour after.I pooped at  a  HUB and f elt better. Almost  felt like upchucking.  We all went down for a nap but I could not sleep.  

We had very little food  for  dinner and Kurt went out for a little while he says, and we were in bed before 8

Saturday 10/14/2023

 We drove to drop off some electronic recycling  at the  Torrance City Hall.   The old desk top went and I am trying to  clean downstairs.  Sorting through all the wires.  I didn't get up until 6 45.  Got 8 hours of sleep from t he  watch.   I switched back from apple to Fitbit.

We drove down to Veteran's Park and walked all the way past Seaside Lagoon.  There was some kind of  setting up for volleyball.

Came home and  had very little for FM.  Charity came by and we got lots of interesting  snacks and some cat food.  I went for a 8.5 mile bike ride back and forth to mom's, dropping off bottles/recycling, dropping  off stuff for Steven in the garage, and then alley ride. Nothing to be had.  Dropped off Sarah's dishes.  They are cleaning their garage and a lot of stuff out on the side.  

I had  cooked some kalbi ribs yesterday and KR and Kurt had that for lunch.  Kurt took a LONG nap.  He then went out to Chris' as Inaya and Rene were in town from  San Diego.  We went to bed. The dizziness is not too bad today.  Took the s ame med .25 klonipin  am  and pm and 1 of ami.
