Tuesday and a LOOONNNGGG bike ride to Danshui

 So Lovely was out the  door at 8 30 to go to the housing registration office to get my and their birth certificate.  Eddie and I  walked down the hill, as there was no UBike at the top of the hill and met Yoshiun Wong and got her daughter's passport to bring back to Torrance for her.  Yoshiun's dad passed away a few days ago and they are planning a funeral.  

Nic came down after he made some payment and we started riding to Danshui old street.  The ride was just a little under 10 miles, and the weather was amazing and sunny and just slightly cold.  About 70 degrees today.  

We ate  all kinds of stuff, like rice  balls with red beans, pineapple cake and red  bean cake, vege with oyster deep fried, vege curry and rice, and squid

We got home about 4 30 and Eddie went straight to bed.  I was pretty tired but had to get mom and dinner.  She came home at 5 15 and had dinner and went to bed

Lovely spent most of the day at the register office and then went for a run and a work out at World Gym

We were in bed by 7 30

Monday and the Bureau of Tourism for Passport

 This morning we got mom out early, and she ate breakfast and the van driver  came to take her to the Day Care.  Eddie is still in 'prison' and Nic is out.  We got ready to go downtown to the   tourism office to get my  passport done.

We took  the MRT brown line  transfer to Red line.

Then it was a  mad house  at  the  tourism office.  It  is the  first  day that they are back in office but  Lovely spoke with someone who said to  go to third  floor window 13 and  we did.   There  must have  been  a couple of hundred people on the first floor  waiting to go see someone about passport or visa or whatever.

We got that done and ate at this place called  Poke, but there was NO   raw fish to  be seen.  It was a  combination  thing and fabulous.   Then Lovely bought some  large rice ball stuffed  with  meat and egg and all kinds of  stuff and Nic got a vegetarian one

We then tried to ride the UBikes.   However Lovely  only had 2  YoYo  cards that  were  registered and she needed 3  so Nic and I rode through to home  and Lovely took  the MRT.  We  saw  her at the bottom of the hill and I rode up the hill and returned the bike and walked down to  see them, and walked up with them.  

Lovely then went to t he Hukao office which  she said had 500 people in line with 40 windows.  OH MAN  She  needed to  add me to the  hukao so  I can complete the passport  in Los Angeles when I return.

Sunday TWO church services and the night market SHILIN AGAIN

 So I was up early.  Nic is negative so  he is out of  the prison.  Eddie  is  still  positive so we  have to keep  him in for two more  days.  I hope soon he gets out.

Lovely  walked down to  Lai Lai and got us  breakfast.  Egg, onion pancake and all  kinds of soy bean milk, and  Eddie  had a  bit of breakfast

Isaiah  and I  ate and then we got mom  up  and then   we  went  to  Hope Church.   There was a LOT OF PEOPLE.  And my dizziness,  with the loud music,  I  had to  go  outside.   We  got food  to go at the buffet place.   We  were going to  get Mr. Smile  chicken was closed.  We got Nic a vege platter and  came home and ate and  rested about  10 minutes and went to HOP  House  of Praise  church.   Mom was pretty good until the end when  she said she wanted to go home.  We got some Subway sandwiches and went home.  

We came home and Nic had gone on a 18 mile bike ride  all  around the city, to Costco and all.    Lovely had wanted to ride  the bikes  to Shilin, and I  said  NOPE.  She  drove and we walked around and we ate  some potato balls,  some chicken  hearts on  a skewer, rice balls with soy bean,  and bought a LOT LOT of foot sticks emery boards.

We got home at TEN OCLOCK and I was tired

Saturday and Nic is ALMOST done

 We we were all up and taking a test.  Ed is still  POSITIVE and Nic   is barely negative so one  more  day, Lovely says and   he  can come  out.  Lovely went  for a run and then I did.  Isaiah  went to play tennis and I  sort of gotten lost so I ran about 4 miles

We  served Eddie and  Nic the left over from last night,  pot stickers and I  think  I got the vegetarian ones.  

We then went around to buy food for lunch.  We went to buy food for lunch.  First  was shaiolongbao, then it was rice balls galore.  I love the sesame balls too,  and the white fungus.  We  tried to get vegetarian  bento box but the  place closed at 2 and we were about 15 minutes late.  So we stopped at PX mart and got vegetarian patties, Lovely said it was like 7 USD for four patties.  VERY expensive.  Lovely made vegetable  soup and a large platter of salad with egg for Ed and tofu for Nic and I cooked the  patties  and they all had some desserts and was watching a movie.

Nic says he  is bored and wants out

I hope they can all go to  the Night Market and the Wet market and have some fun  while  here.  Guess it is better than COVID at home and giving to Em and Sandy

We just stayed at home the rest of the afternoon and evening.

FRIDAY and NIC has COVID and a nice hike

 Dang that  virus

Nic  and Isaiah  were suppose  to leave at 6  for tennis but they left a little after.  I went out for a run about 8 30 while Lovely was trying  to cancel the hotel for Nic and Ed  She showed them the positive test and they were canceled.  I went to the river  park to watch  Nic and Isaiah play tennis.   The run was a total of 3.65 miles  Slow  12.5 min pace

Nic and Isaiah   came  back  and all of us took the COVID test and NIC WAS POSITIVE.  Very faint line but definitely there.   SO Lovely said into the bed room you go, and he and Ed  are now quarantining together.   I just pray that Isaiah does not get  it.  At least don't  show  any symptoms until he  is back  in the army

Lovely then went to the train station to return the train tickets.   

We then went  HIKING   Up the chain mountain.  It was GREAT to go.  We had to  wait for Lovely's friends.  She also did not go up to the last rock.  AND she took some bad pics of me.  She can't take pics as she was too nervous that I would fall of.  It was really windy and cold but I was ok

So the  total hike was prolly 1.7 miles

We  stopped at the dumpling place  and  got 100.   Eddie and Nic  ate  and had some  drinks and Isaiah  slept the afternoon away.  

Lovely put mom to bed  about 6 30 and went to World Gym for workout.  I went to  bed.  

THURSDAY and Eddie has COVID

 oh  MAN

I  get  up and they arrive, Lovely picks them up and Eddie says he does NOT feel well.  The  COVID  test  says POSITIVE

Nic says Negative

I tested this morning as I was NOT feeling too hot either and is negative

So we all try to figure out what we are going to do with our trip down south.  

Eddie sleeps all day.   Lovely goes for a run and  we then go out to VeGEtarian restaurant.  The  meat dish I thought was rib of  some kind was just VEGE and I was  disappointed.  We  went to get a massage but I got a meat ball bowl and ate one of the  meat  ball.

The massage was  glorious.  TOO SHORT

Nic loved the massage.  We then stopped at the dumpling place and got 60, SIXTY dumpling and were ALL EATEN !!!!!!

We played Ma Jong  and  I cannot figure  out the  rules.   I  did not understand the rules but we played FOUR games

I went to bed at 8  30

Wednesday 1/25/2023

 Well, I  had NINE hours of sleep last  night.  OH MY  I needed it I guess.

Lovely  went out for a   LONG run  and I went after she came  back.   I tried to get mom to get up  but  she  did not.  She  is  on Ativan at  night  and some  other kind of antipsychotic drug too.

I ran 3.66 miles at  12 29 pace.   VERY SLOW  Running three days in a row my legs are TIRED and my back is sore.

After mom ate, Isaiah  went  out with Vikki and did something.  Don't know  what.   Then we went to Decathalon and I  bought some shorts and a top.  Then it was Carrefour when we got some food, tendons was so so good and vege and Lovely put them all  in the  instapot  and cooked vege soup for us all.  

I AM REALLY tired from all the walking.  Only 12800+ steps

Mom took a   little  nap and   we ate after Lovely finished cooking.    Isaiah took  a test for the banking job.  It is so so weird kind of  test

I was i n bed before 7 and slept 8 hours and 50 min

Tuesday 1/24/2023

 I had a good night sleep I think.

Lovely went for a 10K run and I went for a 5K run.  Still dizzy and not feeling too good.  Kind of queasy too.  God will provide.  I  read the Bible for a bit.

Lovely had Bible Study and me and mom did a little bit of writing.  It was COLD COLD AND COLD in the house.  They only have these little heaters and it was NOT doing too much  Then she had a lunch date with a friend.  After she came back at 1 45, Isaiah and I went to the Blind Massage place and had a GREAT one and half hour of massage.  I didn't want to leave.  

We rode home, and the only part that was really cold was the part of my legs between t he end of  the pants and the top of the socks.

After mom ate some dinner and Isaiah ate some pizza of last night we went to RTMart for stuff.  I got some sponges for the sink and Lovely bought some food, very yummy tendons cooked of course and some lettuce and pigs ears.  We came home.  Mom went to bed and I ate a little and went to bed

Monday

 I am s till  a  little  dizzy.   Got  a lot of  sleep last night.  Lovely went  out for  a 10K run  and I went out  for  a 5 K run, just around the neighborhood.   It was not  raining, just cloudy.   Lovely got mom up and she had oatmeal and then  Lovely w ent  to  pick up  PIZZA  for lunch for  us.  HAHAHA  It was cheese crust  pizza and pepperoni pizza.  She had a coupon

We then got  ready and went to the TAIPEI ZOO

We drove to the MRT and took it to the end.  We  did not  take the tram nor the gondola just pushed mom around on  the wheel chair.

Got  home around 4  and mom had dinner.  We rested a bit

Called KR, the bathrooms at mom's condo at NH backed up and there was sewage and water and poop all in the bathrooms and the  tub and the  shower and Eddie and Nic and KR and Kurt cleaned it up.  They called the NH and the guys there sent out the plumber and snaked the unit and now usable.  KR went home and Eddie cleaned and cleaned.

I laid down  for a little rest and was asleep in no time flat.  Lovey woke me and i was like where AM I?

We went to Shilin market and ate meat pie, boba, scallion cake, sesame bun, stinky tofu, and   man I was full  We were back by 10 and I passed out  soon after.

Sunday

 I had almost 10 hours of sleep, 9 55 after going to bed at 7 22 and getting up at 6 44.  I was TIRED

Also I was  getting dizzy last night, and very fearful that my vertigo is coming back but this morning Lovely prayed with me and felt much better. 

We went for  a walk down the hill and it was not too cold low of 60 and high  of 75

We had breakfast of left over with  Isaiah eating cereal, that I  brought.

We went to Bread of Life church, and there were so many people, even though Lovely said most people did not show up.  Wow so many people 

We had lunch at Mirama food court.   There was a LOT of people out.  We came home and was going to go out for a bike ride, but we all laid down and  took a LONG nap.  Maybe three hours

I woke up and it was dark.  Lots  of fire works outside.  I had a zonzi and the cherimoya and mom had a zonzi and some champagne that Lovely opened.

I  am dizzy again but PRAYING in the name of Jesus

Thursday WORKING and leaving for TAIWAN !!!! Friday on the plane Saturday morning in Taiwan

KR dropped  Angel off by 7 30 and stopped by Charity's and got the monkey she was giving away.  I  wanted it  for Lovely. 

So  I got to  work   by  6 50  and the  day  was not  too  bad.   It  was only  two columns  but  I  still  was not done  until  a little after  1   I got  home and packed like crazy to  make sure I brought everything

James and Emma came in about  5.  It had rain for  about an hour starting about  4 so  KR didn't  want to g go to the airport.  Also he had pick up Angel who  just  had  her  paw sewed up  She  is so out of sort out of sedation  I had stopped at Ralphs and picked up  fried chicken and salad so they all  ate that plus the smoked fish that James had bought before he left for Dallas

We left about 7 30 and KR  had got the signal crossed, as I had wanted  him to park and help me unload but he did not think he had to come in.  Well, it ended up that he  did not have to  come in.  China airline had  someone that would  yank the stuff from your cart to the weighing station.  I then went up  the Global Entry line  NO LINE while the other line for regular folks was so so  so long.  

The flight was late arriving.  I  had GLORIOUS THREE SEATS and I slept most of the time  The kosher meal was  NOT good so I am  going to change my meal choice coming back

I  took the bus from Taoyuan airport to Sonsang airport and was only 140 NT and was easy, as I did not  have to  store  the  luggage myself.  Almost an hour later I  was at the Sunsang airport.  Lovely was there picking me  up.   It was raining lightly

We stopped  at LaiLai for potstickers and other CHINESE great breakfast.  At home, mom has taken off the diaper and Lovely had to change the  sheets again  and make the bed.  She is  so so great with mom

We went to  the  Botanical Garden where yeye  took  a bunch of  pictures of us years and  years ago.   We walked around and bought some tops  for  me and some New Year cake too.  We walked around for hours and then came home for some left over 

I went to bed after playing Lunar New Year Monopoly  with Lovely and Isaiah.  I won big time with 3950 and Isaiah with  2615 and Lovely second at 3255

Packing and getting ready to go TOMORROW

 So today is cold and I just packed and got ready to go.  KR went surfing and Denise came over and we had some chicken soup and a shot of tequila.  Mark's favorite.  It is two years tomorrow since he disappeared and we are so so sad still.  He was such a funny man and we got along  so  well  Someone found a femur yesterday at RAT beach and KR called the PV police and asked about the bone.  Someone will get back with Denise if it is about two years old and a man. 

OH BOY

I went to Sumi's and dropped off some spinach and broccoli.  She later came and dropped off some candy and chips.  Kurt would like the chips.  

KR helped me weigh the boxes and they were  ll about 50 pounds.  He  will have to come in and help me tomorrow to get everything on the scales.  I better not forget my back brace.  

I went for a 7 mile ride.  It was cold and windy.

Angel has a cut paw on her front left.  We called the vet and she is going to get dropped off and they are going to suture I am sure, and some sedation.  Dang.  That dog just loves to dig things.  There was hardly any walking today for her as she is limping.

After packing the boxes, I went to Maggie's for some lidocaine patches and she gave me some lasagna too.  That sure saved us as I was going to go to Jack in the Box for some food.

KR went to bed by 7 30

Bible Study Tuesday and surprise NO WORK

 Well, Not much work

KR went to the  Men's Bible Study that Bill is leading at 6 am.  Bill got there at 5.  Maybe 18 men showed up and it went well

I got to work by 7 45, and 8 15, Maribel says Dr Desai is on her way.  WHAT?  Oh good.  She thought she would not get back on time from Park City but they did so she came to work.  I left about 9 and had so so much to do

Return  to KMart too forever.  Bought 20 cans of cat food

Got the stuff to mom's and will be packing a box tomorrow

Cooked steak and cauliflower rice

We had bible study and it was GOOD  

Monday and a LONG work day

 So I am suppose to work at Torrance office.

Rebekah  text me at 7 30 that she is NOT coming because she has to work at the office.  She is sorry she forgot to let me know earlier.  WHAT  >???? ?JPIOUHK

We asked her to schedule today because she was OFF at the other  place,  I told her she promised and she should have told them that she was scheduled to work with us and she CANNOT,  Me had Camila  had a heck of a time running on time and doing everything by ourselves.   Camila's x rays are NOT good so there was some retake.  She also tried taking a pano on Karis Bruno, but no go

The patients were, Grace Mckenna, Karis and Kelby, Maggie Pagan, Ed and Rita McKenna, plus Oscar Cruz, their patient, who needed extraction

I was there at 9 and got home about 2 45

I was tired.  Went for a bike ride.  VERY WINDY

KR took Angel all over.  Kurt went to work at 4

Sunday

 James and KR went to the golf course.  Emma slept in.  I did part of their laundry and ours too.  Too cloudy to hang out.  We went to church and I had a coughing fit so I sat in the car with Angel and picked off a tick.

James and Emma went somewhere ending up at Captain Kidd's and had seafood.

I went to Costco to buy AREDS 2 for Lovely.  I did not buy any for Eddie.  He can get his own.

It was crazy at Costco.  The cars were all over, even in the driveway.

I went over to mom's and packed a box, some of Lovely's paperwork too.  So there are two items I am packing for my trip, all done.  One box already packed for Eddie.  I am working on another box for Lovely, her games and stuff

KR took Angel out for a walk while James and Emma napped

Saturday

KR tried to go surfing and said it was too sloppy and too big and no one can paddle out.  

I went for a 5k run in  the morning before Kurt went to work.  The average was 11 30 pace.  NOT too bad but  not too good either.  Not much pain to right knee or left hip. 

KR and Nic and Eddie went shooting.  First Eddie wanted to stop at Porche Center in Carson after shooting, KR says I ain't driving  by myself, you all go.  Then Eddie said ok,  they will go shoot and then see if there is time.  Well, there was NO time as it took an hour to clean the guns.  They had nothing good to say about KR's new gun.  Eddie is so  so opinionated and not too giving.  

I had a nice long chat with Mimi.  She and Jay are doing well. 

I went to check out the garage roof at NH.  There is a leak at Barbara's grandson parking spot that I didn't know about  and I sent her a text.  Next Tuesday hey are going to check things out at the main office to see when we are up for reroofing.   It would be very messy job

We went to the Crookston's for dinner.  Renessa and Fernando were also there.  She cooked this  fabulous  pork roast with melt in your mouth potatoes, acorn squash, and 'crack pie' dessert.  We brought a nice salad.  I had made it in the afternoon with a lot of cilantro and kale.  We got back and the others had bought two pies, cherry and apple.  I had a couple of bites and went to bed

Friday and it is quiet

 So KR went to see if he can surf and James and Emma walked Angel to the park.  KR came back and said no shape.  Then the gang of four went down to Lake Forest to meet Bill, the owner of Lorde & Belle.  I stayed home.  I went to mom's and got one box all packed up, plus the suitcase.  I also got some of Lovely's paperwork packed so that Eddie can bring to Taiwan

KR went to Newport to eat with Dick and Jon.  I went to my appt at 1 45 with Dr Olinger

I also had an appt with  Botox at Prairie Medical at 3 30 but with my eye dilation, I could not see where I was going and kept driving past it and i called them and finally found them and was 15 min late.  The doctor sold me another 320 DOLLARS of more Botox.  Let's see how long it lasts.  The last one didn't last too long

The rain was going allllllllllllll day long and  sometimes very heavy.  Torrance River up front  outside became Lake Torrance and everything was muddy.

We had lobsters and left over turkey  for dinner.  I also went to the gym at NH to work out a little as i knew everyone was going to be late for dinner.  Nic cooked the vegan noodles and I cooked the green beans.  Nic also bought vegan pizza and samosas which were completely eaten.  They did the clean up.  I just have to remember and let them do it all.

LONG work Thursday and James and Emma arrives

 So the weather was cool, but no rain.  I got to work by 6 45, stopping at Ralphs to buy some flowers for Maribel.  It was her birthday, yesterday.  It was Dr Hailey's last day

Many people no showed or canceled.  I called Eddie and he and Nic showed up about 11, and I worked on them.  Nic in the x rays is 777 sponge Bob and I did 14 sealant, 15 pretty deep filling, from a pin hole, 19 O decay, 19 B sealant, 20, 21, sealants, 28, 29 sealants.  He is starting a few cavities, 30 D, 12 D, 4 M, 18 M, 19 D

Then it was Eddie.  MAN he has so much stains.  His x ray number is 777 bond James.  I did sealants on 4, 5, 28, 29, and fillings on 7L, 15 O

Then I asked them to go see Angel as KR had Board meeting but they said NONONONONON  They were going to work out and then pick up James.  WAIT  I just did couple thousand dollars of work on you and you cannot do that?  I just said oh forget it

I got home and then everyone showed up.  James and Emma and Nic and Ed.  We decided to go to Cheesecake Factory for dinner.  BILL WAS 335 dollars  OH MAN  We all went to bed pretty early

Wednesday 1/11/2023 Alan goes down south

 So we were up early and  we left at 7 15 to take Alan  to Long Beach Transit Station.  

WE COULD NOT FIND IT

Finally he runs towards where the buses are, and it is on 1st street but Google tells you to turn down a one way street that is for buses only  He got on and said they now have to wait as the bus  needed a tire changed.

I go home and then to the  DMV

WHAT a hassle.  What is the point of doing everything online when you have to do everything AGAIN when you get there.  My appt was at 10 10 and almost  an  hour later,  I  was done.  You  had to have the confirmation number and I  didn't so I had to call Kurt to go to my computer for it  Then it was photo and then another line to check out.  Jeez

I also only got to bike 8 miles today.  Not enough exercise

KR came home from epic surfing and I went to Adele to get the car keys as James might borrow their car.

I FINISHED THE TAXES !!!

We went to Veggie Grill for dinner.  They ordered A LOT OF FOOD and then we came home and Eddie ate some cupcakes.  We lit  off two bombs

I was in bed by 8 45

Tuesday and Alan arrives

 It was very wet this morning and the rain keeps coming down until about 1.  KR and I went to PV golf course and walked on the cart trail.  It started coming  down right at the end and I RAN to the car.  

I did laundry,  mostly Kurt's stuff.  I made him a plate lunch, the L&L stuff and green beans.  KR brought it over on the way to Costco.  He really likes the Acai juice that is on sale this week.  Eddie and Nic went for a work out and then to some meeting on Wilshire Blvd.

I went to the airport to pick up  Alan.  His plane arrived at 2 20 and I told him to walk towards Terminal 3 Even though his plane was almost half hour early, still took a bit of time to get his two big luggage, and walk.  I got him about 3 20 and we got home pretty quick after a short stop at mom's to pick up his stuff in the closet.  Ed said they were in Los Angels all day, and will be here  at 5 45 to go to greasy Mexican.

Alan took a quick nap.  That is what them Alagata's are very good at.  Falling asleep at a drop and waking up at a drop  We went to Taco  Galoso and the tacos were very good.   Nic didn't have a bite as he would not eat any of this food.  We ATE a lot

Came back and had Sumi's chocolate vegan cake and walnut not vegan cookies.

Monday and Eddie arrives

 So  his flight was early but he and Nic still did not get to the 6 21 bus, they did get the 7 21 and was at AAA by 8 10.  I went to the bank and took out 500 dollars for Ed, and they came here and ate some stuff, and Nic ate three of the four Beyond meat sausages, and Ed had some pastries

They went back to the condo and I came home.  It was gray all morning, and then started raining, and rained ALL DAY, and all night.  Suppose to stop tomorrow at 1

I went to see Dr Lee and he wants me to try Symbicort twice a day and then montelukast every day for a week and let him know if consistently that would abate the IDIOPATHIC rhinitis of mine that is just killing me;  he says I am not wheezing at all, and all sounds clear.  Dr Lee looks good, not ready to retire. 

KR went surfing all morning and then went to L & L for BBQ, he ate there with Nic and Ed.

I cooked the turkey, stuffed it with onions and celery from the compost bin and even some dill.  I stuck it in the oven at 1 15 and took it out at 5 45.  It was great.  The turkey was free, from Sumi, and I also cooked the mochi cake.  VERY GOOD

Ed was suppose to be here at 6 for dinner.  They didn't show up until 7.  Nic said he didn't know and Ed forgot.  So tomorrow is NOT going to be a repeat

They came by and Ed ate a whole lot of turkey and all the remaining stuffing and spinach and some juice and Nic had a vegan burrito.  Looks so NOT delicious

Going to see John Dougherty Sunday

 We went and walked Angel down at the beach.  It was not  as cold as yesterday.  KR went to check the surf and it was not good enough for him to go out so he came home.

We went to church and REVELATION again.

I didn't take any cough meds, and just took a little benedryl before service.  Seems to be ok.  Don't know what the matter is  can not get the correct med.  Going to see Dr Lee tomorrow

After church, KR weed whacked.  

I went for a 2.5 mile run.

I got a text from Kathy, John's caregiver, saying John is in hospice and has not eaten for over two days and don't seem to have long to go.  I drove out there to Anaheim to see him.  I stopped at Porto's first, and boy is it a VERY large one.  So much good food.  I got some stuff for Kathy and Ted, and some for us.  John does not look good  He is thirsty but cannot drink without choking up a lot of phlegm.  We talked for a little bit and I sang a bit and I played Green Island Serenade on my phone and KATHY KNEW THE SONG !!!    I have never heard of a foreigner knowing Vivian Teng songs. 

I came home and KR had taken Angel out already.  We ate some left over dinner.  He watched hours of football/golf and I cleaned the kitchen and sorted out what is what for this week.

Easy and Cold Saturday

 So we go walk Angel and check the beach.  The sand is still covering most of the bike path.  Actually the path is closed between Ave I and RAT  as there is too much sand to ride at all.  And Lake Torrance is gone and  so is Torrance River, although there was a little Torrance Pond to be seen.  One of the life guard ramp was moved maybe 30 feet.  That is a feat of the waves as the ramp is heavy !!!

After we were back, KR quickly packed up and went surfing up the hill.  He called and said he forgot his leash and would  I run it down to Von's and so I quickly drove down there.  

I also stopped at mom's and flipped the brining turkey

I also stopped at the alleys and picked up some boxes.

Kurt packed up and drove to Big Bear with Corrina.  They and some friends are going snow boarding or something.

KR took a nap and we went to Black Bear Diner for dinner.  The prime rib was yummy

We had many texts about our Taiwan trip, and seeing Mitzi too, with high speed rail, and MOM

I also spoke with   Auntie Mary.  Today is her  99th birthday

AHHHH FRIDAY

 I was up at 6 45 lazy day for sure.  So good not to  have to work

I changed the sheets and did the laundry and we drove down to the beach.  The surf was macking it and BIG  Of course we had to drive up the hill, and it was NOT 20 foot like SurfLine said

I ran a little on the  way home and KR picked me up at Calle Mayor.  He swept the front and I worked around the house cleaning and sorting and paying bills.  He then went to mom's and worked for two hours cleaning.

Kurt went to work, after coming home REAL late. 

THURSDAY I see the light at the end of the tunnel

 So I kept waking up and seeing what time it is and all that.

KR stayed in bed while I was up by 5 45 and left by 6 25 and was there early

It rained all morning.  Suppose to rain until 4 but it quit at about noon and the sun came out.  I left work and came home by 1 10 and went to the Torrance office to see Chelsea to cement her crown.  I asked for EMax and the lab made zirconia crown.  The color is really good but the translucent quality of EMax is not in the zirconia crown.  She didn't know any better.  Man I was kind of mad but Camila was the only one there today and the dental assistant, I guess Rebekah didn't come in and so she was running around like a crazy chicken

I came home and went for a short bike ride.  Kind of cold.

KR had TWO beers, he found on the street, and was home with Angel, as Kurt was working.  Then Kurt went to see a play at Pen or something like that but they are not back in session so I don't know where he went

I picked up 24 more COVID tests for Eddie

He is arriving Monday and Alan is arriving Tuesday

I went to bed  by 7 42 according to the watch

WEDNESDAY and another long day of work

 So it   rain  most  last night  and was  still raining.  I got to work by   7  45  after waking  up and going back to sleep about  6  saying  just a little longer please 

Work was ok, first hour just me and then office meeting.

We finished at 1 10, and then back  at 2 and then done  about 5 30  It rained lightly in Lawndale all day and will rain again all night

KR said he didn't do much at mom's and was really wet walking Angel

I was in bed by 7 30

It is TUESDAY and such a long day of work

 Dr  Desai is  out and so is Dr Sata so I am working Tuesday and Wednesday AND Thursday this week.

NO MORE of this

It was raining lightly this morning when I  started driving and it rained all day long

Many patients either no showed or canceled.  I had an hour lunch and was done by 5 45

Went to Melissa's to pick up the  antenna topper

It is suppose to quit  soon the rain, and then start again at 4 am and then rain  ALL THE WAY TO THURSDAY

KR cooked yummy vege soup and we had bible study and I was in bed  by 9 45

I AM TIRED

 So it was not too cold.  Hailey and Matt went out for breakfast.  KR had zoom and then surfing.  Andrea and Maribel came and I took Angel to the park.  She didn't wanna go but I dragged her.  Then Kurt and I went to NH gym for a 30 min workout.  He wanted to go home and I told him to do a little more.

I cooked bacon and KR and Kurt both had a BLT

KR went to Costco said it was CRAZY.  He bought the wrong cereal

I rode my bike all around and then went to Ralph for milk and stuff.  I left the block of cheese on top of the car and many  cars drove over it, but  I picked it up and cut  off the wheel part and may  serve it tomorrow

Kurt worked 4 - 11

I went to bed by 8.  Gotta a LONG day of work tomorrow

New Years Day 2023

Last year I was mostly 112 pounds and this year is mostly 110, sometimes 109, so staying fit is good 

BUT NO  PARADE

So if the first of January happens on a Sunday, there is NO Rose parade, has to wait until the  next day. And  no  rose bowl either.   We were up and it was WINDY  We drove down  to  Burnout and took Angel down to Rat Beach,   It was so windy that  we only saw one person on the beach and she had a great big run.

We came home and went to church.  I came back while KR stayed for Q & A.  I cooked bratwursts, and bacon with green beans and went back for the community meals.  It seems only the  same people go to those meals.  It was good, lots of food and we had Angel in the car.

KR took a nap and I biked over to mom's to get things ready, for Hailey and Matt.  

We had left over dinner and Hailey and Matt showed up.  I had wanted to watch a movie together, but Million Dollar Baby is suppose to be kind of depressing so  we watched Bullet Train.  

WHAT A WEIRD MOVIE   Kind of like  Quentin  Tarantino with Eraserhead. 

I took them over to the condo and they are going to the Rose Bowl game tomorrow.  They were thinking of going to Disneyland but said the tickets were REALLY expensive.  

KR was in bed by  9 and me by 10
