Easter Sunday

 Sad we don't have a sunrise service to go to, KR  and  I walked Angel at RAT beach and it was great.  No rain, and she  ran around.  COLD and only about 50.  When we were done, River church w as coming down to set up.  COTB was at Levy for the day as i t was SUPPOSE to rain, but no.

We went to   our  service and Corrina came too.  She and Kurt went to a party downtown and didn't get home until 2 30 or so and it was a bit too dull of service.  

If w e want Corrina to come, we need to  get Pastor Paul to be more 'unbeliever' friendly

We had some brekkie before the service and  KR  went surfing  and I  went for a ride.

I didn't s leep.  I changed the sheets and cleaned under  the  desk, lots of dust and stuff.

We went to the  Gooch's for Easter dinner.  Carol had ham, turkey AND chicken, plus  all kinds  of salads and we brought desserts.  Chuck had baked some brownies and we brought  them too.

Saturday raining H58 L51

So it started raining last night about 12 and continued off and on all day, with small breaks here and there.  There was enough  time for me to run three miles  although not too fast.  

I forgot to put my watch on so 3 am I put i t on  so  the  sleep score is bad and inaccurate.

KR took Angel to the Fire Road and I stayed home.  He said Kurt came home and threw up.  Kurt said he made himself upchuck so that he would feel better in the morning.  He went to Teddy Kurtz for BBQ.  He also did a load of laundry.  Andrew was there last night too.

KR went to FM and didn't get much, just some lettuce for  the girls.  We are going to the Gooch's for  Easter dinner so we don't need much food tomorrow.  I  made Kurt a pastrami sandwich and KR went to the store for some clam chowder.  He got the wrong bacon, so I gotta go back to get the correct ones.

KR also took Angel to the golf  course for the afternoon  walk.  I went to Hof's Hut for a pie,  and ordered dinner from Chicken Maison for  Bill's 80th  birthday.   We went up there and had a good time.  They really enjoyed t he food and the friendship.  We lit candles and sang Happy Birthday.

On the way home, we saw the massive fire of the apt/condo complex right next to Rolling Hills Covenant Church, looks like the whole massive building was gone.   All those poor people lost everything.   

Kurt and Corrina went  to get a birthday present and then went to a birthday party downtown LA.    They had Taco Bell for dinner.

Friday and Botox plus Good Friday Service H63 L48

 Good Friday

It  was nice and  easy day.  Except I got a good hematoma from the acupuncturist.  Thinking about canceling my next week appt as I don't need to sport a short dress  and have a large  bruise.

I   also went  to Botox and  got t wo small bruises  on  my forehead  too.  Dang

Kurt went to walk early and we went to Fire Trail  and  walked Angel

KR  had finished  the six bird houses and  we gave onet o  Donna.  And I need  t o pick another person to give the bird   houses to.

I  made s ome fish  on t he grill and  KR went to Costco to shop and got pastrami and made sandwich, which was very good.

We went to Good Friday service at KHC, as our church does not do that, I wonder why.

The Sunday sunrise service is canceled as it will be raining cats and dogs.

Kurt went to Teddy's house for a BBQ.

I also went for a bike ride before Botox and got an egg cooker, new and tried it out.  Works pretty good.  Does not have to sink the eggs in water.

This computer  is gettiing too warm during the day.  What is up?  I think it is only 5 years old?  Maybe time for another, but the transferring  process, such a hassle

Got in touch with Wendy and Doug Herman and t hey are  comoing to the reunion

Igot to work early.  Got  up by 530  could not sleep in.  I wore both watches last night and it was pretty close on timing of sleep

KR build all the bird  houses and said I can give them away.

Got off work at 1 and went to Dulan's and had a fab lunch with Diane, talked until 3 30 and went to acupuncture.  Came home about 5 and went for a ride up and downthe alleys only got a bag of recycling and donnated to NH

KR h ad my left over chicken dinner.

Kurt went to bed early I think

KR said they had Phyllis steak for lunch  before Kurt went to work

Wednesday Chiro H67 L49

It was not too cold nor windy.  We went to Veteran's  Park after Kurt took off for work.  He had to go to  El Segundo.  Yikes.  I cooked some shrimp and we all had some and KR started making bird houses.   He made two.  First one a  little wonky, second one really good.  He will make more tomorrow.

We got a saw from BNT and KR says it does not work as well as ours.

I went to see Dr Wong for my shoulder.   It feels much better, but if I don't get regular  maintenance it  seems to go bad.  I did not hear from Dr Moy's scheduler, so I guess I a m not having upper eyelid surgery  this Friday.  

KR took Angel out afterI came home and I stayed on the internet making KR's Nicaragua  reservation  to  go surfing with Kevin Carter.  I was successful.  I also spoke with Neil about this.  It is a little difficult to get cheap flights when there are hardly any airlines that flies to Managua.   

Kurt came home saying he is REALLY tired.  Also someone from Branch was doing an interview at the office.  

I went  for a  3 mile run  and  EVERY MILE WAS UNDER 10 MINUTE !!!!   Yahoooo

Tuesday the 'tube' comes out H65 L51

It was a little cold   this morning.    KR went to the Bible Study and  I had a bad night  sleep.   My right  scapula was bothering me so much that I had to sleep on a foam  ball

We then  walked Angel to  the park and   he  went to  h is  catheter removal.  I   rode my bike to pick up the tutu's that I didn't see yesterday.  It was not  as windy as yesterday.

KR also went to FM but only got four bunches of kale.  I cooked three bunches in the soup and  it was delicious.

Kurt had to work at 9 30 for a meeting and then office work.  He was a was mad  because they wanted to give him split shifts.  

I saw the dermatologist, Dr Moy,  and she said  my freckles and  moles are all ok.  The eye lid surgery  would cost 3000 USD and she does  them with l ocal   and  the recovery should be pretty   easy.    I  said  SCHEDULE IT !!!!

We went to the jacuzzi and it was great

KR talked to Bill  at length about my diary in the 70's and 80's.  KR wants me to get rid of those pages that he finds offensive.  I just don't like the idea I have to read through them all and tear out the pages.   

Monday H64 L48

 It was cold  enough this morning  that KR turned the  heat on

I  wish he would  just forget about the  past.  He  dwells on all  that happened  over 30 years ago and cannot forget.  Can't he realize that we are devoted  to each other and the others don't matter?  He wants to know details and I just can't for the life of  me remember any, or some, or just plain forgotten  most of  it. 

What difference does it make now?

I read an article in the Wall Street  Journal about having lunch with your ex and he just got the stiff lips again.  

Jeez

This morning he was just getting ready to go on his Monday morning group and realized  that he was suppose to meet Coach Phil.  I think that  relationship is a goner.  He rushed out of here  and went to  Starbuck's.   

The cleaning crew came and I went to pick up the tutu's and she had it behind the pillar of her house and I didn't see it and came home.  I need to go back tomorrow.

We had lunch and I had a long nap.  1 1/2 hour flew by fast.    

Kurt got home and was mad that they want to schedule  a meeting at 9 and t hen he would have a 2 hour break and then more  work.  He says he needs to get a new job.   Maybe this would spur him on.  

Kurt came home around 11 last night.  Said he had a good time in San Diego.

Sunday H 61 L 51

 It was cold  almost  all day.  Even  in the  sun.  AND  THE WIND !!!

Kurt is down in SD all day and says it was too windy t o go surfing so they went rock climbing.  I told  him to be careful and stretch a lot or else his forearms would swell up fairly painful.  That is from my experience.  

We went to church.  KR walked Angel.  I did not go.  I did wash the bottom two sheets as the top was just changed on Friday.   KR had made egg, avocado and bacon sandwich before we  left for  church s o  he  was not too hungry.  He left for Matthew to go to Donna's house for the baby shower thingy for one of the Trac kids.   She is ONLY 15 and just had a baby.

Jon and Yuan Yuan came by and had a chat.  I sewed his bike shorts and they both came to visit.  KR came home when they were still here and we all  had a nice chat.   

Saturday Beth funeral at St Finbar H63 L54

 So there is  suppose to  be teens  riot tonight  at  the  mall

We were up early, KR could not sleep.  He was thinking about   the past, AGAIN, and had to ask me questions, I told  him he asked and asked before and said  he was not  gonna  ask  any more but he  did, again.

It  rained for about an  hour.  So we did not take the dog out.

KR had gun training at the church from 9   - 11 30 about.  Kurt and I went to FM and got a little bit of lettuce.  Not much.  Kurt left for San  Diego  about 12:45 and we left for the church in  Glendale  about 12:30.    We got there and saw everyone.  The church was pretty full.  Beth was only  66.  Dying  so young is tragic.  Mary came by to watch Angel for about half   hour.  We got home about  4 30.  KR took Angel to the fire trail.  I s tayed home.

I  went and got  gas after he returned and ran 5 K. The  first mile was 11 then 1054, then 11 49.  So  slow

I cooked some  ribs and  cabbage.  Tomorrow is a  busy day for KR

Friday and Bone Density test H67 L52

I had 8 hours and  37 min of sleep  last  night with  a  sleep s core of  

 It was a nice day.  We  were up and me not too early, 7 am.  I had some dreams but can't  remember.  Mom is back home a nd back to the  day  care center.  Lovely had her date with Alan, the usual Friday thing.  KR and  I went to Veteran's Park to walk Angel.  Then it was laundry and a whole packket of tissue was stuck  in a pocket so we had  lint everywhere.

Kurt had work early and I made him a burger, which he only ate half and I had the other half for dinner.

KR bought some wood and will be making  some more blue  bird  houses.

I made more  bacon  and  turkey burger   on the  grill.  While  he   napped I also rode the alleys.  Nothing  to be had.

Naby had her baby.  Nayla.  What a cute name.  Hailey had her baby, Weston.

I had my bone density test at Pollock, and almost got ran o ver by an old lady at the corner here while on  my bike.  

Kurt went up  to  Corrina's and said would  be  back.   He  is going  camping or something like that  tomorrow.  We will go t o  the funeral

Thursday but NO WORK screening but not really H 67 L55

I  had a terrible night sleep worrying about mom and getting up to check the  phone.  She is finally home and has an ulcer,  I  guess.   I didn't  think taking a naprosyn  daily would give you ulcers.  However, doctor  prescribed  medication and   she i s  home.   Lovely had to take  care of so many things, andshe wants to run a marathon next month and  wants to  train but have  no  time.   

I went to Bud Carson middle  school in Hawthorne and  here were not enough students that signed  the  permission slips, so Maribel told me I can go home.  I called  Diane but she had a 10 30 interview so we did not go have lunch, I called and changed my   MRI  appt  from 4 30  t o 2 45.   

KR  was  home and so was Corrina  and Kurt.  She had spent the night.  Sarah had dropped off some food  and they ate ALL the steak and  most of  the  potatoes.  I can't believe i  didn't get a bite.  I stopped at Ralphs and bought some  food.  

KR  took a nap and I was cleaning the paper work that had accumulated all over my desk.   

KR took Angel for a walk this morning and this afternoon.  Yesterday Angel got a GOPHER, yup, she  dug  one out  and  killed it.

Kurt had work at 12 and got home by 5 30.  Said he was REALLY  tired. 

I almost fell asleep in the MRI  machine if you can believe it.  

Wednesday and another doctor visit Mom still in the hospital H 68 L54

What  a day

Lovely is spending the days at the hospital with mom.  She pulled out all her IV and the nurses were besides themselves.  In Taiwan, the family members have to take care of the sick so she has been there.  Or you can hire someone but Lovely says it is not easy.   No one likes going to  the  hospital.  There must be some kind of  taboo.

We were up early and KR and I went up to the fire road to walk Angel.   PV country club was setting up for LPGA and  what a big event.  Big screens and everything.

We saw Mary up there

Came home and KR finished the sewing tables, had some lunch, bratwurst, and me a fish sandwich and   he  took a nap.   I went riding in the alley and found a Shark Roomba,  with charger and everything.  I plugged iti n and works fine.  

I  went to my BCO  appt and had x rays of my knees and Dr Melano said I didn't need knee replacement, maybe some  kind o f injection, and MRI is tomorrow.

Maribel told me I had screening tomorrow 9 15 to 2 pm.  I cannot go have lunch with Diane, darn.

Corrina came by and spent the night.

Tuesday and mom is in the hospital

 So Lovely said that mom is really weak and there is blood i n her stool so she took her to  the  emergency  and they wanted to  a dmit her and Lovely said ok, and they  did  blood  and will be doing endoscope to see if  she has an ulcer.

Oh boy

KR was  up early and  had  his  procedure done AGAIN with  Dr Matsunaga.  However, he  was not numb all the way, as the  doc only waited about 3 min, and last time he waited 15 so KR felt a little , like stab of hot needle inside.

He was home by 9 30

I drove up to drop off clothes at Stevens and  wanted  to  pick up the table clothes from Sandra, but  I  didn't  know  MESA street  is  CLOSED due to failing pipe.  The street right   behind Sprouts.  So everyone needs to go wind around to get to Las Tortugas and what  a pain it is.  I was going  to g o around but I thought hmmm,  it is only half mile so I ran  up and came back  down the  hill.

KR rested and Mary came to visit.  KR finished my sewing table and tomorrow  I van bring downstairs.

Mom  is getting IV  fluid and  protein, and will stay and Lovely has to take care of h er  while  she is in the  hospital  Unless she hires someone.  

Monday 3/18/2024

This morning we were up early and I still had a sore throat.  KR walked Angel and I stayed home.  Kurt went to  work  and  I made  him  and made  him a yummy bacon  and corn beef  sandwich.  KR had his Monday morning group and  then  went to take the microwave to the front  porch of moms condo  and then to Rob's for oranges and grapefruit.

KR varnished some more and I went to work at 2.  Delivered the crown 12 on  Francene.  She had lost the  temp for over a week so the tooth  erupted  a bit so I had  to grind 20 down a  bit.  I also had to recement Sonya's temp crown.  Went to Dr Shrader and told him of  what  is  going  on with my hip.   After the   x  ray, he  says to  see his partner, Dr Mayeda, or something  like that, and maybe MRI or CT.

Came home and ate some lamb.  The Space X satellite flew into the sky and was beautiful.  Chuck  also baked some blueberry pound cake,  It was great

Sunday H 67 L 50

I woke up with a headache, mainly on the left side and a sore throat.  I didn't go walk Angel.  I did the laundry changed the sheets.  KR went to church early as he is NUMBER 1 usher, Kurt woke up and we went together.  I almost didn't go but  no   excuses.

We came back and started working o n the sewing machines.  KR   sanded the  two  cabinets  and  used  some  Verathane on the  tops and I started cleaning the i nsides.   The Elna is  moving very slowly so I gotta figure out  if it is  the  foot pedal or what.   I am giving the  Brother away, after 20 years.  What a great machine.  I got it at Costco so many years ago.  

KR took Angel out and I went for a 6.25 mile ride at 5:12.  It was slow.  Kind of cold too, the wind picked  up.  Patty brought over some corn beef and cabbage and we had a great dinner.  Kurt went up to Corrina's after church.   

We went to the jacuzzi  and it was 104  and nice and warm.  I used the sander to sand my feet  HAHAAH

Saturday 3-16-2024 H 68 L 51

We were up early and KR took Angel to walk while I went to Alhambra to pick up the sewing machine I bought online through Ctidbid.   We loaded it in  the truck, as it was a small table.  They also found a chair that went with the machine.  I came home and hung the laundry, one part was Kevin's old dog bed I got  out of the dumpster, plus some clothes for Steve.

I tried to get the machine working and finally I can sew on both.  I  need to oil and  fix the table portion.  I listed the Brother machine and many people want it.  I  need to  give away Mom B's  sewing  table  too.  The Elna machine fits into the table.  The White machine seems like cannot be placed into Grand B's  table.   

Chuck brought over  half a leg  of  lamb and it was amazing.  He marinated and smoked  it.  

KR also got a LOT of spinach from the FM and he cooked some and it was VERY good.  

Sarah wants to juice all the spinach and she went to a wedding,  and said will be by later  for t hem.  

FrIday and taking it easy

 We were up early.  For be  before 6 i s early.  Sleep score was bad 73.  KR had  a  92  the other day

We walked to the  park  before his screening  appt with Hawthorne School.  He said there w ere not many kids as many  of  the kids did NOT turn in their permission slips.

I stayed home and did clean up and went to the garage and clean some and moved the juggers stuff over to the garage and the downstairs heater.

KR came home and had my left over shrimp and went for a nap.

I went for a 6.25 mile bike ride.

Kurt was finishing his taxes and then he went and got a smog test.  We went out to dinner with  Roger at Black Bear and then Kurt went up to Corrina's for some TV watching.  We were in bed by 9

Working Thursday and visiting Ed and Ingrid

 So  it  was early work.  Busy too.   It was Mary's birth day and they decorated the back office.  They told me Melissa is going to ORTHO office in three weeks. WHAT?  She only lasted three years.  I am sad that we train someone and another person leaves.

I got off about 12:45 and got home and went for a short ride.  We then left for Capistrano or something like that.   We had dinner/fellowship with Anita, her husband Jack, Ingrid and Ed, Breanne and Matt plus their 2.5 years old Hayes, who we think is spoiled.  But hey it is their only grand child right now and  Kiersten is not thinking of having any so maybe the only.  Breanne did say they would prolly want another.  We left late like, 8 30 and came home.

I was really tired.

Kurt had not worked Tue, and says he is taking  TOMORROW OFF TOO.  That boy was working on taxes and  who knows what else.  

We gave him a list of things he needs to do:   Taxes, tire rotation, ADP sick pay, raise from office, 

Anza Borrego Trip Monday 3-11 ~ 3-13 Torrance weather H 67 L 54 Anza Borrego H 70 L 51

We had our annual Anza Borrego desert trip, and it was amazing.  Although the above says today high  was 70, yesterday was  75/59, but windy.

We left Monday after the cleaning ladies came to clean and Kurt went to work by 8 30.  It was an easy  drive although I had to stop several times to pee, as I had so much  coffee.  We went through Temecula area and stopped at Costco to get gas. We tried checking in but the lady said the rooms were not ready  yet.  It was about 1 30 and she said come back at 2 30

We went  to the Stone House and decorated with the stuff we had  brought.  I asked KR to pack eye hooks and a strand of wire.  We also brought cloth pins and pinned up stuff like extra sunglasses, chap sticks, a tampon, pair of earrings, and misc, plus a sign that says take some and leave some.  

We stopped and admired the wild flowers on the side of the roads.  There were plenty of flowers and people stopping too, but not too crowded that we were able to take pictures with just us.  

We checked in.  A great room, #149 that was ADA regulated, with  a LARGE bathroom and  shower  chair  and two queen beds.  We got Mexican takeout at Los Jilbertos.  I had tripe taco that was deep fried tripe, not too good.  KR had a great chicken tostada.  We went to the  jacuzzi with Angel, so she won't tear up the room  and then to bed.

We walked around Christmas Circle at night and then  drove out to Hobard Street to look at the stars as it is really dark out there, just behind the Tennis Club.  A homeowner came out with flash light and asked what we were doing.   HAHAHAHAHA  Another car stopped too to see if we needed help.

I also went for a run before dinner.  The soft sand did not hurt my knees nor hip.  I also  ran 10:54 miles.  WOW

Tuesday morning we had  some coffee.  We had brought our own coffee and coffee maker, and had some bananas, and drove up to Coyote Creek.  On the way we stopped for some photos at the metal sculpture of the Scorpion Plus the Grasshopper.  THE WHOLE CREEK AREA WAS LOCKED DOWN !!!!  I guess the November Hurricane changed the path of the creek and now it runs down the main road so the whole place was locked.  We parked  and walked with Angel all the way pass the really rough  road, and came back. It was really really  windy, like sand blasting  windy.

We came back and went back to the Stone  House as I had forgotten to leave the recorder.  I played some songs and we came back stopping at the Visitor center to find out what happened to the creek.  The ranger said that they don't know when the creek would get diverted so that Sheep Canyon will be accessible.  So maybe that whole section would only be day use, as there is no camping allowed now at Sheep canyon.  

We laid out at the pool and it was really nice.  KR went back to take a nap and I went for a  run.  It was a bit more pain for my hip but not the knees.  We had tostadas again, and I only ate  half of  mine.  We went to see  more  stars again, and drove  by  the h igh school and walked Angle again  at  Christmas Circle.

Today we were up really early so we can get to the SLOT  before any  cars.  We arrived about 7 30, after having our  coffee and  there  was one car there.   We hiked  the  slot.  And the rain had loosen  a rock down  and blocked a little bit of the path.  It  was really nice  weather.   Still some wind.  We packed up  to go  home  and  drove through  Julian.  We got a pie and  a  sandwich  and drove to  Lake Henshaw and had our  lunch and a walk  down to the lake.  Angel was looking for  rats.

We got gas in  Capistrano and came home by  about 3 30

Kurt called in  sick yesterday and today  and said he is  not working  tomorrow either.  That  boi needs  to get his act together.  He parties too hard and then  cannot work. 

Sunday H 67 L 48

So it felt pretty cold this morning. DAY LIGHT savings,  so we were walking Angel down to Veteran's park and it was mostly in the shade by the condo towers.

I  didn't have time to do any cleaning on the new / old sewing  machine.    did measure for the wood piece that I need to prop up one side of the legs.

We went to church.  Kurt is down in SD.  

KR went to Q and A after loaning a lady our walker, as she  is having meniscus surgery soon and she was using crutches.

We had a nice lunch.  KR made orange juice, and we gave some to Patty.

He had a nap and i found a sled and a small book shelf and some weighs in the alley and then Shirley on 228th place offered FIVE platters of Hawaiian food and I jumped on it and grabbed three.  Charity got the kalbi ribs and I got one kalbi and two char shiu meals.  I gave one to Skylar.

We packed up for our trip.  Tomorrowto Anza Borrego.

Still dizzy, and taking very little  klonipin now, going to try  to wean off and see if  anything changes.

KR has not been DRINKING FOR 10 days, ever since he golfed with Jon and was driving with at least  .10 of BAC

Saturday ONE DAY post Birthday 3-9-2024

 So I gave it to Diamond and  Will  in  a text  about missing my  birthday.  Will made some excuse about him  having so  many   things t o  think  about and how he is not good  at  it.  Diamond said  she never heard  us saying that my birthday was Friday when they came to  visit.   They wanted to send chocolate and flowers and card, even though Diamond was in the ER because of her endometriosis,  or something  but I said no we are going out of town so don't bother coming.

Well, at least I got that off my chest

We walked Angel to the park and then went to pick up my sewing machine.  We went to 726 Esplanade instead  of 726 Catalina.   HAHAHAH  It is a very old Elna and dirty and I shall see if I can get this to  work and give my Brother away !!!

Then KR went to FM and got so many bunches of celery and cilantro and cabbage, I gave everything away.

He went to walk Angel and our sink is BACKED UP FROM LAST NIGHT and the plumber came.

Kurt and Corrina went to San Diego to Rene's Birthday, and I gave them a  bottle of wine to take down  there for present so he spends less money.

We had very light dinner, as I have  been snacking too much so no more 106, more like 109, gotta get it down. 

Friday 3-8-2-24 My 65th Birthday H69 L48

Well, One out of three kids ain't  bad

So I was up early and had a nice walk to Veteran's Park with Angel  and  KR.  It was COLD  !!!!! 

He then went surfing and I cleaned house.   I wanted to  et the  house in order before our trip and before  the cleaning crew comes  on  Monday.   He came home and I cooked broccoli beef, Chinese style.  The  keyis to use some baking soda, makes the beef tender and plump.  

He  took his  car  in for t ire  rotation,  and  I  ran back  after riding  the  bike there. 

I  also called ATT and changed our plan to unlimited data so Kurt  can   have  more  data.  

We went to Norm's for Fish and Chips, buy one and get one free.  So cheap. Soup and Salad and Dessert and all for 20 bucks tips included .   We even had  one fish left over, plus  Kurt's sundae.

Will and  Tyler could NOT remember my birthday.

So many other people text me and I am blessed.

Thursday 3/7/2024 Cari-esta's birthday H65 L48

 I will always remember Cari's birthday as it is just a day before mine.

I wished her happy birthday and she sent me a pic of her.  Everyone looks older, including me!!!

I was up early and got the soup into the containers and froze some and went to work.

WOW

They had the office decorated so nicely with gifts and flowers and balloons and EVERYTHING !!!  It  was busy and I had to  d o Maribel's crown, #3.  I told herlast year but she didn't  do  it.

KR had Valor meetnig ALL DAY

He came home and took Angel for a  walk while I went to  see Chris.   I had a 3.5  mile run, and not too much pain.

GUAVA PASTRIES  ......  oh so  so d elicious

He bought some shrimp from Maui Chicken and we had that for dinner.  Lovely sent me some WILD workout outfit,  and they fit well on the bottom but a tlittle  tight on the top.

AND THEN IT RAINEDm againm  about 6   pm    

There is suppose to be no more rain for the next 9  days.    

Wednesday H 62 L49 RAIN and office meeting

KR was  up really early and we walked  Angel to the park and I   had  office meeting.  It was nicea nd  then  I went  to El Super  for some meats  and avocados, then  back to the office  for  Lunch and Learn with VOCO,  Panda  Express.  Great food.  

KR had gone and got oranges from the rental house and our trees.  He is going to juice them.  He also walked Angel, again, and did some yard work.  The rain started about noon and it rained HARD for several hours.  We probably got about 3/4" of rain.

Tomorrow is expected to be dry.

I got home and proceeded to take a nap for ONE AND HALF HOURS!!!  Man, I was tired.  

I made beef ribs and then lentil soup.  Smells amazing.  

Finally parked my car in after wiping all the water off so tomorrow  I would drive a dry car!!!

Tuesday preparing for RAIN

KR  had his Tuesday am group and I slept in.  Kurt had work.  When he came back he took Angel out and I didn't go.  My knees.  I did go for a bike ride at noon  to drop off Mom's ballot.  KR  went to FM and got a little bit of stuff, some lettuce for the girls and one head of cauliflower and some lettuce plus celery.  

He took a nap and I went biking down t he  alleys again, first going to Mike's by  Lago  Seco park to pick  up my roll of packing  paper.  He forgot to return the stuff he didn't use.  Then I  spent  a  LONG time cleaning a nd  getting r eady f or our  small group dinner.   

We  were suppose to have  Karl and  Geralyne, me  and KR , George, Mike, Pam,  Karen, Cristian, Jerry, Anita, but Cristian  said  he was too tired from work and  Karen was not feeling well.  But we had a great dinner.  I  cooked the artichokes we got from FM and then broccoli plus tne cauliflower.  Anita brought a chicken from Von's and George made pasta with sausage, and Mike brought all kinds of drinks and Pam baked a great cake.  

The  discussion  got  to Anita and the rest of the  folks  voted for Trump.  YIKES!!!  I had to keep my mouth   shut about  that.  We went to bed late.  Kurt came home and went out to Salsa dancing   HAHAH

Monday H 64 L 49

 Although it didn't feel that cold this morning, and I didn't  see any  frost on   our neighbors' roofs.

KR was u p early and had a great  sleep s core.  He  has NOT drank for a few days after his Wednesday debacle.  He  had the Monday group, but saying it is turning out to be a chit chat group.  He then  went to walk Angel while I did laundry.  

I went to the bank to pay James' Chase bill, over 4000 dollars.  He wired me some money but still owes me about 2500 dollars.  He is in Guangzhou he says,  working.  Then we warmed up the left over Jack in the box and went to meet Kurt.  He says the Wells Fargo on Torrance/PCH is closed so he came down to the village.  We didn't make an appt so we went and ate lunch first and then came back and signed so that Kurt can access the checking account we have at Wells.   In case anything  happens to us. 

We came home and KR took a nap while I went for a ride.  Found a balancing board in the alley.  I also dropped off my voting ballot.   I pray that  Tony Yeh wins.   

KR had  taco  salad and  went to  bed by 7 30.   

I spent almost an hour with Neil Kaplan online and  booked Alan's trip  this  summer.  Whole TWO  months  he   will be here having  fun and eating and letting Lovely t ake care  of   mom.   

Sunday H 63 L 50 NO RAIN

 It did rain at  night and  the  streets  were wet and sprinkling.

Marmi and Mr Gray came to eat.  Still can't pet Mr Gray.  Time will help

KR took Angel and I am trying and trying to get rid of stuff  He had church duty so he went early and I ran there.  We came home for  lunch event hough  t here was  a church meal.  KR rested a nd I went for a ride.  NOTHING to be seen in the alley.  I also deposited mom's voting ballot.

We left for San Pedro, the South Bay Conservancy had a short film festival at Dana Middle School.  It was very interesting films.  We left just before the last one so we didn't have to hit the crowd.  It was COMPLETELY full.  We stopped at Rebekah's for my old phone.

Kurt came home for a few hours of  Angel duty and went back to Corrina's.  Said that Bobby was not having a BBQ or he was not going.   We stopped at Jack in the Box  for dinner.   HAHAHA

I think the 'other'  marmalade cat came to eat tonight.  I t hought it was  Marmi so I was  tapping the  window, and it ran away.   Marmi would not run away when I tap the window.  MR SKUNK also came back to eat.  I chased it away.  

Saturday 3/2/24 Rained a little

Saturday is always a  kind  of lazy day around here.  And I am sure will be more so after I really retire.

KR spent a good  amount of time going through the photo albums.   Wow, there is so much memories. We need to go through them together and get three boxes and separate them for the three kids.  ALways makes me sad that what to do with all that  stuff and would  anyone know us two generations from now????  I look at pictures of Gon gon  and Nei Nei and no one  remembers them.  I look at pictures of ours and we don't even remember some of the people

I changed the sheets and had to dry them in the dryer as it was raining off and on.  Weather app says just  am but it continued  to  rain. 

KR took Angel for a walk and I went on a  6 mile bike ride.  Went to Denny street to pick up mint shower gel.  I got in between the showers so did not get rained on.

I tried napping but no go and did a bit  of yoga.

KR found so many pics and I need to send them to people like Kathy Kuj a nd Eddie.  

I also picked up a utensil rack  and I need to repurpose.

We shall see

Went to SBCC on 190 as Kurt wants to watch Dune with Corrina tomorrow morning.  KR had  some left  over, taco salad for dinner  

Friday MARCH 1, 2024 MEDICARE Here I am

 This is March 1, which means  my  Medicare starts and  I w ill be 65 in a week.

WHERE DID THE  TIME GO?

WHen mom and dad were  65 they were driving over to help us with the  kids and all.  We have two grand kids that  we  have never  seen and Will is  not  talking  t o  us again and  has  no job.  Kurt  is  s till living  at home and i s working but does not like his job much.
