We drove back up to Doug's ranch and deposited the full hive. The gate was locked so KR walked up there with the hive box.
We then decided to drive to Rancho Bernardo to deliver the table that Hailey wanted and to bring mom some eggs and honey.
We stopped at Father's old ranch in Rainbow, and saw the pond the ostrich farm that didnt have any more birds, and there were so many lemons and oranges, the lady living there (the niece of the owner, the pastor who was living in Upland) told us to pick as many as we want. We picked bags and bags of lemons and oranges.
We drove to mom B and saw her and Ethel and left the stuff and drove home, The traffic was amazing almost no stopping at all.
I posted the lemons and oranges and KR went diving.
He didn't get anything but had a great time, came back after dark said there were so many people there by the cliffs.

Monday The Beginning of the Third Week of Stay HOME
We go up to Doug's to get the bees that came into the nuke box to Doug's ranch. We drove up and saw Martin and his worker. KR put the bees away and then brought down a full size hive hoping for more bees. Martin was cutting flowers, and said that he had to cut and throw away as the flower mart was closed and he cannot sell them. We brought back so many flowers.
We stopped at the Whites, and gave them flowers, and the Brady's and some other old neighbors of the Bingemanns. We then went to Adele and Julie's and gave them ranunculus and delphinium to them both. The flowers were beautiful. So sad.
KR set out the full hive about noon, and while we were walking the dog to Hickory, we saw a swarm fly by Chuck's as we were talking to him and flew into the full size box. We will have to bring up to the ranch tomorrow.
I went to my appt with Chris Bruno. He was 20 minutes late said that Sandy was suppose to call and tell me his last pt was running late.
We then had left over and did not listen to sermon and went to sleep. We listened during dinner.

Sunday - no church
We go down to the beach to walk the dog and KR is still mad about me talking to Mrs. Duncan yesterday. I think this Corona virus thing is getting to him. He is distant and cold, and will not initiate any conversation. I sure hope this lock down stops soon.
I had to sneak across the street to take the pics of the poppies that he planted that are blooming. We were afraid that the blossom would be stolen, well, need not worry, no one is going to be able to see them, much less steal them.
We came home and he went to the rental house and did a bunch of work. I stuffed and cooked the 14 pound turkey, and did a load of laundry. Tomorrow will be sheets. Today I washed a purple comforter I found in the alley. The bed skirt fell apart but the rest is nice. Will give away
KR came home from working at the rental house, pruning, propping up the branches, weed whacking, I cooked a WHOLE TURKEY. I defrosted our 14.71 pound turkey a few days ago and today I did the stuffing, chopping, cooking, everything. Baked for about 4.5 hours. CAME OUT GREAT.
We will have turkey left over for awhile. I will make turkey soup in a few days.
KR got a swarm of bees from the industrial center, and brought them and transferred to the nuke box John C gave us. But John said not to bring over to his house as he is having issues with his neighbor again.
We listened to half of the Mike sermon and then went upstairs to finish listening to it and went to bed.

Josh and Elena visit
We drove to the beach to see if the sidewalks are closed, and now there is a sign on the parking spaces and the bike path : NO WALKING ON THE STREET, NOR THE BIKE PATH !!!! And cops around just to make sure people don't go there.
We drove to the fire trail, CLOSED, we drove to another trail, CLOSED, and we finally walked on the GOLF course, which later when KR spoke with Jaimie Murray, he said they were chasing them out of there too.
Josha and his mom Elena came to try the booth for his vertigo. They are from Romania, and very nice. I gave him some meds and will see ohw he does.
We went to the Farmers Market and got about 20 bunches of kale. THEY were beautiful and delicious. I cooked a bunch with bacon. Gave two to Rocky, and four large bunches to Jon. I rode my bike over there and they gave me some ginger chews.
THEN it was yard work. KR weeded the front, I weeded the walk way to the front door.
Then I cooked the kale.
We watched a sermon online, SBCC.
I text Will to see how he is and he said he is in Sonoma for 9 days and will be back on Monday. Something about doing music with Fidel and some lady paid for his and Fidel's tickets via Southwest and all the airport and the plane was just empty.

More of the SAME STAY - AT - HOME Friday
We drove down to the beach early, and there were no parking signs on all the west side of the beach, no parking 24/7. We walked on the side walk anyway.
I picked up a microwave from the alley, plugged it in and works well. Going to give away.
Went to Korean Market and bought some tomatoes and lettuce and had to wait in line.
Mom's Astelin medication went from under 2 dollars to almost 70 dollars. Something about the SS office no longer helping her with part of the meds. Will have to get that straightened out when she returns. IF SHE RETURNS THIS SUMMER.
Mike Gooch came by and picked up some tangerines and lemons and cookies.
We had our bible study via ZOOM !!!!! Everyone joined, Donna was late.
We went to bed right after.

No Work Thursday
It was suppose to be Dr Deepa's day.
We went to walk the day. Was suppose to be really windy but it was still ok when we went down there.
KR went and bought flour, raisins and nuts to make cookies with Matthew. He got Jack in the Box and brought Matthew back. They spent at least an hour to make cookies, and I listened to the webinar on SDF.
They made a lot of cookies and I brought one large one to Chris when I went to my appt with him.
KR took Matthew home and took a nap.
I went for a ride.

Wednesday
So it was so quiet, we walked the dog at the beach, It was COLD. I did the laundry and KR hung it out. I did some paper work and cleaned the house. I also text Marjorie to see if I can get paid. Dr Sata said yes, so I am using my sick pay, which I had over 28 hours.
Regina Cotton also said that she had some 'word' with Will Weston. I text him and he said that he would send me my check but Regina said she didn't give him my collection as he didnt want her to come in this week. What the heck????
KR went to the rental house and got some tangerines and lemons. Jon Liu came by at 6 and got some. I gave some to Patty, Rocky, Barbara and Adele.
I cooked some corn beef and cabbage. Bryan M brought some potatoes and KR boiled them and we had a great dinner. Bryan also brought some cake from Vons.
I was so dizzy so I went to bed and we did not listen to a sermon.

DEATH VALLEY Sunday morning 3/22 - Tuesday night 3/24
We started about 8 30 driving out to Death Valley. We drove 405 to 14 to China Lake, to Ridgecrest and we had Burger King. Passing Ridgecrest was Fossil Falls, which we had never seen before. There was a fall and the rocks are worn smooth. Very slippery. We walked the dog, no one there.
After that we drive to Keough Hot Springs, well, the dirt road before it and we sit in the hot springs. Of course Gracie wanted to find rocks. She loves the warm water. Some guy came by with just a shirt on, no pants. HAHAHAHA
We then went past Lone Pine and went to DeLaCour Ranch. What a lovely place 9.7 miles from Lone Pine off of Horseshoe Meadows Road. We saw Jose Luis Sandaval. The cabin was AMAZING. There is a roll away bed, and a loft where there is another queen/double bed.
The pot belly stove was lit, and it was warm. Outside was COLD, maybe 45. There are other cabins but the one we were in was the best. There is a little kitchen, a small frig, small shower and toilet and small closet space.
We settled in for the night after having the ribs at Copper Top BBQ.
It was so hot that KR turned off the heat in the middle of the night and could not figure out to turn it back on. It also started sleeting in the middle of the night.
MONDAY we pack up and drive down to Lone Pine to meet Jose at Alabama Hills Cafe where we had ordered take out brekkie to his house.
We had brekkie and then started on our Death Valley National Park.
There was NO one on the road, just about. We drive up to the hills, through the fog. Padre Crowley Point, was in the fog too. We past Panamint Springs. We stop at Stovepipe Wells. No more than a dozen cars. Then we started driving to Cottonwood Canyon.
We were hoping to see water and let Gracie play, but we drove all the way into the end of the Canyon, and no water........
We saw some cars, not many. Then it was past Mesquite Sand Dunes. Then Devil's Cornfield. Saw wild burros on the road. Then into Beatty, Nevada, so we can get to a motel that took dogs.
The ATOMIC Inn was so interesting. We had room 13. Two double beds, small bathroom, microwave and and frig. We went to Gema's for dinner. KR had chicken Adobo and it was great.
I had left over salad that we brought.
TUESDAY we had some coffee and a little left over of philly cheese meat, and KR ordered brekkie burrito from Gema's and we were off. For the first hour we did not see a car in front of us or behind us (going the same direction).
We stopped at Rhyolite, the ghost town, There was a origami crane, the last dinner with Jesus via fiberglass that looked like ghosts.
KR had looked at Titus Canyon before we left so he was pretty excited to go into the canyon. NINE MILES later, we see this tow truck and a big cargo van behind him. Well, the lady in the van had gotten stuck so that the canyon is NOW OFFICIALLY CLOSED !!!!! KR was so sad and mad.
We drove to the other side and walked the canyon about half mile. The cliffs rise above the road, but we were not able to go.
We then went to Zabrieski Point, where there were many 7 cars, with the bathrooms completely locked. We then went to Old Harmony Borax Work. In Baker, we saw the largest theromometer which was closed. KR had a Fatburger burger plus a cup of coffee from Coffee Bean & Tea Leafs.
We then drove home. WITH NO TRAFFIC on the 15, 60, 57, 91 110 all the way. It was 6:21 and we were finally home, We unpacked, had some dumplings for dinner and went to bed.
My rocking was really great driving on the dirt roads, but when we stop, oh my rocking is so so bad. So I upped my meds a little bit. Does not seem to help much.

Saturday
WHAT A DAY NOTHING GOING ON
KR went diving and got a pile perch but we gave away to Rocky and Grace. Rocky will be taking care of the cats and chickens (am) while we are gone and Mary will do the PM shifts. Mary says she is not going out at all, and will be social distancing at home.
WOW this is so weird.
You see people and some just wanna back away.
I did laundry and it was sunny and warm, 65 and dried outside well.
I ride my bike to Hickory Park to see what Adele is talking a out, They had caution tape all around so no one can use the slides, etc. What a joke !!
I then ride to Wilson Park. The FARMER'S MARKET is going on, and there is a line and people making sure no one cuts in line, and 6 feet between the shoppers.
KR goes diving and gets me a PILE perch, which I gave to Rocky. They are acting weird as Grace is so scared to come out because of the virus.
We stay at home and had dinner, Tried to invite Jaime Murray for dinner, HE SAYS NO THANKS, social distancing and all....... wow really???
We packed and got ready for the trip tomorrow.

Friday
We go walk the dog and some people are just taking this 6 ft social distance thing to a new level. We saw quite a few dads and moms that are usually at work, out with their kids, who are usually at school. Gracie is doing ok, no longer limping. Her pads are healing.
KR called Matthew but got no call back and Chris text him to go to the tide pools, so he went. He called Beatty Nevada, and the hotels/motels are still open so we are going to try to go on Sunday. I rescheduled my chiro appt with Chris to today, from Monday. The streets are so so weirdly quiet.
KR chopped a bunch of wood and ate my delicious Phillys steak, With cream of mushroom, no bell peppers. I also scheduled my MRI for my right knee next Friday at BCO. They also said everything is so quiet. Which is good that I don't have to wait an hour to see the doctor.
We walked the dog at late afternoon. Gracie is no good with gophers. HAHAHAH
Went to bed listening to SBCC how not to panic and need to listen to the LORD!!!!

Thursday
Today is my normal work day but the dang coronavirus has me just at home. I did a load of laundry last night and hung them up in the garage in case of rain, and I did another load this morning, and it was fairly sunny and KR hung them out.
We drove to the beach for a walk and saw some of the poppies that KR scattered the seeds starting to look like they would bloom. He was very happy. We also drove up almost to Bluff Cove, as John Crookston said there was a swarm of bees, but they flew away so KR didn't get his bee suit on and get them.
We stopped at Ralphs and they were almost completely out of bread, but there was some meats we just needed milk, and as I was limping, from dizziness and my knee, the guy manning the door let me in first. Maybe we also looked older than 65??? They have instituted a new policy to let the old and the infirmed in first. HAHAHA
We stopped at Korean store and bought some lettuce and cukes. There were 50 pounds of rice but we didnt' get any as we don't eat much carb. EVERYONE was picking one up thinking THE END IS COMING !!!!!!!
OH MAN OH MAN
Del Amo Mall just got ordered to close.
At least Farmers Market will open on Saturday for only 50 people at a time.
What is this world coming to?????

Our Anza Borrego Trip
So Tuesday dawns and we are going out. We left about 8 am via 405 to 5 to 78, passing Ramona and the Demler Brothers egg ranch. We also saw bunch of camels at Bellena Farm. We stopped in Julian for some pies and food. Found out that they also cannot serve food , but can only take out. It was raining lightly, and cold.
We got to Anza Borrego and it was not quite sunny but not raining and 65 or so. Instead of checking into the hotel, we decided to go to Coyote Canyon. Gracie had a great time getting the rocks. So much so that her paws got raw. Some ocotillos and cacti were blooming. Not as much as last year.
At the end of coyote canyon, we decided to keep Gracie in the car and tried to climb up to the palm grotto. We got almost there, as the trails were not marked and a LOT of boulder hopping. I forgot my meds so I as a bit dizzy too. I got to the first palm and quit, and KR got to the second palm and came down. There was a lot of water, and the water was cold and cold.
The hike up took about 30 minutes, so prolly would have taken about 45 minutes to the palms, and we drove back down to check into the hotel.
There were four people in line trying to check in so it took awhile. We also got a free 2 drink coupon. KR had a beer and I had an OJ. Room B116 was very nice and very big. We had take out tacos and then went to the jacuzzi. There were hardly any one there, and Marilyn, the receptionist said that so many people have canceled.
We went to bed after listening to a sermon.
I COULD NOT SLEEP, maybe from Klonipin withdraw, I finally got up and took .25 and fell asleep pretty quickly.
THE NEXT MORING Wednesday
It was raining, so we drove over to the visitor center about 8.. NO ONE AROUND. Visitor center closed. We drove to the camp sites, and there were maybe a couple of dozen RV's and even a few hardy souls with tents out at the camp site. We didnt see any pup fish, so we drove back to the hotel. KR had the two left over tacos for brekkie and we packed up and drove to Butler Canyon,
What a canyon.
We had to go past Clark Lake which is normally dry but because of the rain, was pretty full of water. Probably just knee deep but it was cold and beautiful. We then went past Peace House, up to Butler canyon. We saw ONE truck out there. And then we had to turn around, the rocks were just large and we are not sure we had the clearance. So we tried Rockhouse canyon, and was also defeated !!! On the way down we went to check out Peace House, which is a tiny stone building that someone had cleaned up and had a little cot and pillows, and a guest book and some candles. Really neat. We left a roll of dental floss. I left a note in the Peace House.
We went back up to Coyote Canyon so Gracie can play. It was raining and cold. She didnt want to leave but was shivering bad and had bloody paw (s) from getting the rocks. We drove down to Julina thinking there might be snow. YUP, there was about 2 in on the ground, so there was a lot more earlier. We got two pies, as they were so good yesterday, rhubarb and apple.
We drove home via 5, and the traffic !! THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC at 5 pm. I guess everyone is working from home, or not working.
This Coronavirus thing is so weird. All schools closed, and some closed to end of the semester. Mike Gooch said Harvard and a bunch of other schools are canceling GRADUATION!!!! I guess if I was a senior at Harvard, I would want a graduation. All restaurants cannot serve food but can have takeout. On the way home, we got a cup of coffee at Starbucks, but they would not let us use the restroom. I had to go to Walmart.
The grocery stores here have very little bread, eggs, NO TOILET PAPER, which I just don't understand what that is all about. Why hoard TP???? And bottle water???? Just drink out of the tap. We went to bed after listening to Mike Djane's livestream cast.

Very quiet Monday
SO, the Y sent the email will close at noon TODAY. KR went to meet with Mike Turkimier as he needed some prayers with Desiree, then he went diving. Hopefully another cabezon.
I did some cleaning and rode around and got two pairs of black size 11 shoes, not much else.
Everything is quiet as schools are closed, libraries are closed, wondering if the mall would close. No more movies, etc.
KR went diving, NADA nothing but a good time. Had brekkie with Mike
I go see Brad Thomas at BCO and had the Baker's cyst drained. Only about 5 cc. Old cyst. Then I had an appt with Chris Bruno. Oh so good
KR cooked some curry stew. We had dinner and went to bed

Inglewood ARMED Church Sunday
So we went to Hope last night and was going to go to Branch of Hope this morning, but I text Diamond to see if Will was coming to their church and she said yes so we decided to go there.
We walked the dog first at Hickory Park, then drove up there. Pastor Thrash was great. I love the music. I found out if I stump around a bit I can handle the loud music.
We got back and I went for a ride, and to Von's to exchange the avocados, that i bought too early on sale. Got $3.10 back. SAMS CLUB THERE WAS A LINE TO GET IN !!!!!!!! I guess too many people so they were lined up outside !!!!!!
OH MAN
The Y has canceled all classes. I hope they don't close. Then I will have to exercise in mom's gym.
Went to my 3 45 class and said good bye for now to Betty, Karen and Sandra, and one other lady I didn't know. It was rather quiet there too. Betty said not too many people are coming and the bikes had signs on it for NO USE for every other one wowowo
Michelle D came by to get some honey and I cooked a pot roast on the stove. Took a shower and went to bed. NO 6 am yoga tomorrow......... sigh

SLOW working Thursday
I got up early and got to work. No Western extern, and half of the people canceled or didnt show
I saw Ian and did about 12 sealants and cleaned his teeth.
Got home a little after 12 and tried to take a nap. Should NOT have had a cup of coffee before so could not sleep.
The CORONAVIRUS is the top news. KR went to get chicken food and corn beef on sale at Vons.
We found a large puddle of water by his side of the bed. Then we found a little bit of water behind the piano. YIKES Guess we have to have the roof done this summer
Our money went down by the thousands. But hey, that is ok. GOD IS IN CONTROL
We listened to Nazarian at Hope. He is a really good speaker. Went to bed. Praying for sanity for this country. Wish Trump had stepped up and be the leader and instituted what Taiwan is doing so we would not be in this mess. Torrance Schools might close for a week or two tomorrow. We shall see.
I miss mom and Lovely and all my family.

Raining Tuesday
Suppose to rain alot, but the buckets were hardly wet, maybe an inch of rain. KR got up for his Oswald Group. I started the iRoomba and it picked up a lot of dust. Going to go through the paperwork. ANTS still !!!
Missing mom and Lovely and worrying about her and her tooth.
I did a load of laundry and hung them up in the garage. It was suppose to rain more in the afternoon but not really. I parked the truck outside so it would get a little wet so I can clean all the kunk off.
I wonder what the etiquette is for borrowing cars. Debra Perkins borrowed the car and stayed at mom's and drove the truck and ate our food. She left the truck filthy on the outside. Looks like she parked under a yucky berry tree and just a mess, and she didn't replace any of the food and the house was not cleaned. Oh well.
I went to the gym and had a little workout Needs to do that more. KR went to bed earlier and I finally went to bed at 9

Monday and they are OFF !!!!!!!!
So KR goes to Chris' bible study and I am hoping I am not sick. Woke up in the middle of the night with sore throat, and then this morning with a headache !!!!
Went over there to pick up mom and Lovely. Loaded up the van and drove to the airport, me with a mask on.
Lovely got a cart and said the concourse was empty. They are off and I drove home.
Went over to mom's to clean and to get my instrument box and pick up the laundry and get the place ready for the next occupant.
Came home and went for a run. Knee hurts, but hip not so bad. According to Garmin, I ran 2.84 miles at 14 min mile. HEY NOT BAD !!!!!
KR went diving and got me a CABEZON !!! A beautiful fish and we had it for dinner, with some spinach from the farmers market.
KR took a nap and so did I. Felt so good to rest. Didn't get enough sleep, prolly not enough deep sleep while Lovely was here.
We tried to listen to a guest speaker at Hope but half way through, I said nah, let me hang the laundry and go to sleep.

My 61st Birthday
Can't believe I am 61 today.
I woke up about 6 which was really 7, or the other way around. Daylight savings was last night about 2.
I woke mom up and gave her some fruit, and she had so much pain with her back. I thought, oh no, so she sat in the chair. KR helped her brush her teeth and then I went home to get ready for church.
Then KR went home for a shower and we managed to get mom in the van and went to The A.R.M.E.D Church - A Christ-Centered Ministry.
Will and Diamond had invited us to church and we met her sister Crystal, her boyfriend, Ashton, her mom Christine, and dad Larry. It was a great service. Like HOLY roller kind of church.
We went to Chiptole for lunch and came home. Lovely had come home. We put mom to bed for a nap, and then to Von's for more cereal, and then to CVS for the 10 dollars I had gotten for answering some survey.
Pretty dizzy today. Took the same amount of meds.
Dinner was at Denny's. FREE for me !!!
Then I started looking at mom's teeth. She had a cavity on M of #22, and then I saw an abscess at the apical of #5. The crown was loose, looks like the decay had gotten the tooth so rotted that her upper denture was rattling around, and her palate was so red. I am so upset that I did not look at her teeth earlier.
I told Lovely she needs to brush mom's teeth and floss them as mom is not able to do it herself.
Oh man

She slept on and on
I tried to wake her up for lunch, but she would not get up. She was so out of it, she slept on dad's chair on and on
Later on, KR went to SBCC and I stayed with mom. Then he came back and we slept on the floor with Gracie.

Friday and half day of work
I had a nightmare about KR going hiking and I thought he was going to get lost in the desert and something about coming back and just so blase about his hike, and something about hiking with Bill Johnson. Dreams are so weird.
Walked Gracie at the beach. 55 degrees COLD
I forgot to lock up the chickens last night. They were out roaming. Gracie was going nuts over a possum on the wire.
8 30 and still no sign of Lovely and mom
I went over there and Lovely was feeding mom. Lovely is such a saint. Taking such good care of mom.
KR took care of mom as we went to Ralphs and then Goodwill store and then I went to work, and Lovely ran back from the office. She stopped at the Salvation army on Anza and then ran to the Goodwill on Crenshaw. WISH I COULD STILL RUN LIKE THAT
I had Kathy take impressions on James Ferris and I came home.
I went over to Lovely's and then came home for half hour. KR went to Branch of Hope for a class by Eddie Anorga and Pastor Paul. Doug came by and dropped off some cream.
I went back to Lovely's and made her some bone broth top ramen with a chicken leg.
I came back to bed after giving mom a 1 mg klonipin, plus a advil pm and she was talking about stuff that happened like 65 years ago, something about studying with her high school classmates. SHe had sundowner and was just jabbering on about this and that and that she could see and should get up. Poor Lovely, not getting any rest and tomorrow is the wedding.

Working Thursday and Picking up mom and Lovely
Got to work on time, and it was one of the WORSE day of work. EVERYONE WAS CRYING OR SCREAMING !!!!!!
So my RVU would be low
It was Sandy Ku's last day.
Left about 12 and came home and KR was having lunch with Dick and Jon. He didn't get home until after 1 30. I stopped at the 99 cent store again and bought more cereal, and salad and maters and stuf and dropped off at mom's.
I cooked the ribs and peeled all the meat off,
Then it was time to go to the airport. I missed them by a minute and the cop said I had to go around. Mom was nonstop talking.
We gave her an Advil PM and put her to bed.
Lovely said that she kept getting up, oh man, Lovely is so tired, and I hope she does not get sick.
I went to sleep by about 10 30

Office Meeting Wednesday
Barely got up for yoga.
Then it was some cleaning and then office meeting . I stopped at El Super to buy meat first. Then stopped at Ralphs. No good cereal.
Came home and ate a little fish sticks, and went to mom's to clean and get everything ready.
Rode the bike around according to my watch for about an hour and about 7 miles. But only used 250 calories. I rode really slow. Got some cleaning towels and a steam/grill thing. Took them over to mom's to see if Lovely wants it.
Went to bed listening to a sermon by Jeff Gill, and the antiChrist is a homosexual Jew !!! WTH????

I got up early enough for yoga. Felt good to stretch.
KR went to Chris' and then surfing, as it is almost 1 and not a sign of him,
I did laundry. Will change from down comforter to regular one,
And taxes,
Regina called and said that she and Kathy has not been paid on time, regularly, and that Kathy didn't come to work Friday as a result. Will Weston needs to have his acts together. NOT paying his employees is bad bad and bad.
Got a hold of KR and he did go surfing and then voting. I cooked bacon and chicken in the oven, and cleaned paperwork.
We walked the dog at sunset.

Went to visit Rita and then to vote at Levy School.
Went to SBCC and Pastor Greg was really good. Ate a cookie, and took a carpet home that they were giving away a bunch of stuff.
Listened to part of the sermon and went to sleep by 9. Had to move to the other room. Gracie was kicking me. Jetlag improving some.
