Wednesday

KR left again about 5 30 to Huntington with his bike to surf.  FOR THREE HOURS. I got up and did laundry.  He came home and and ate and we walked the dog to the park.

Weather was kind of cloudy, partly sunny.  I finished the curtains in Sarah's room.

I rode my bike but for the life of me I cannot remember to where.,

We listened to Jeff Gill until Mark Reagan flew in.  We went over to mom's together and let him in.  He had to drive his daughter back to South Gate and he is spending the next 7 - 10 days there.

Brian left yesterday and we wonder where he is taking a shower.

Tuesday

KR went surfing again.  I cleaned some more and went for a ride, back to Candy Cane lane area to locate the vga cord.  It turns out I left it on Reese 5335, instead of Carol 5335.  Well at least I found it.  Then I rode to Newton / Madison and dropped off the Benefiber.  Two days in a row similar places.

The Roofing Lady roofing company came to walk and measure the roof.  She was very nice and knowledgable.  The guy with her, Frank, will give us a bid on the concrete patio and driveway.  Gonna spend some BIG MONEY !!!!!!!

KR had a grand old time.  He was so tired when he came home.  Saw Brian and a bunch of other people there.  Micohn dropped off our old large white pot that the mulberry tree was in and KR planted the extra bean plant Ryan from Nextdoor gave us.  She also picked some mulberries.  KR said to tell her no more, as she strips the tree.

Sarah Miles also dropped off some food.  She said during this quarantine time they don't eat leftover.  WHAT????  We are getting a lot of interesting Vietnamese food from her.

KR put up the curtain rod/wire in Kurt's room.  Sarah is coming on Thursday.  I started making the curtains in the afternoon.

I ate before KR as he spent about two hours watering the yard.  Went to bed pretty tired.

STILL NO MED AND DIZZINESS GETTING BETTER

ONLY A LITTLE EYE SHIMMERING STILL

Monday NO MORE KLONIPIN

I had a hard time sleeping again, kept waking up and then finally coughing woke me up again at about 3 30.  I took a little cough medicine, and went back to sleep.  KR got up about 5 30 and packed up and with his bicycle drove down to Huntington with surfboard, and will paddle the bike and go to somewhere without too many people.

I started cleaning and putting things away as Andrea and two others came at 9.  At 8 30 the first of the roofer came to measure and will send estimate.  I pumped up the 'other bike' so see if I can ride it today.  Hopefully Jon Liu will find me a good bike on Craigslist soon.

Andrea did such a nice job, they didnt finish until a little after 1 30 and I paid them what she asked 250 USD.

I went riding to Candy Cane lane area to drop off the VGA cord, then to Wiffletree Lane to drop off the watch.  Came home and I was so hungry, I said for KR to go out to eat.  We went to Sushimon and then down to the village to sit outside, at the hair salon downstairs from the old office and had lunch.  KR also sold Michelle Deland some honey.  We hardly have any left !!!!

Brian McIntyre made dinner of spaghetti.  KR made a salad and Brian came over about 5 30 and we had dinner.  So much food.  Eddie C dropped off some chicken.

NO MEDS except amitriptyline today.  NO MORE KLONIPIN

Sunday

We drove to Costco for gas early and the line at Sam's Club was out the tire center and all the way pass the delivery to the cinder block wall !!!!  We walked Gracie at the old Costco parking lot and there were squirrels !!!  We shook one off the tree but Gracie missed it.

We listened to Pastor Mike sermon, even though it was Elder Sheck.  Then KR went to hang a swarm trap and we then listened to Branch of Hope sermon. and their Q & A.  We will listen to ARMED later today.

He went to mom's to weed the back yard and I cooked three cauliflower heads, saving two in case Andrea and daughter, who are coming tomorrow morning would like some.

I then went and rode up to Crest/Crenshaw to pick up two Minion baskets, (BNT) and on the way there, almost up the hill, my derailleur broke and I had to walk up and then down the hill, back home.  I made it to Elm and 235th before KR came and picked me up.  My knee was sore.  Jon Liu said I should just get a new bike and salvage the parts of the old bike and recycle the metal.

I was so hungry I ate a whole head of cauliflower.  KR drained the honey and put the setup back at mom's.  Sarah, Chris Gooch's girlfriend is going to live here for a few months until they figure out what to do.  Prolly get married, or move back to Missouri where she is from.  They are returning next Wednesday night to TJ and then rent a car to come back.  She will be here next Thursday.

KR got a swarm of bees.  He finally ate dinner at 8 and I was really sore, hip, back, right knee.  Glad I am seeing Chris tomorrow.

NO KLONIPIN

Saturday

My right arm is pretty swollen, up to the elbow, on the under side.  I took some atarax last night and still no sleep, and even with combo of atarax and benedryl.......

KR went to the farmers market while I cooked pork kalbi ribs.  We got 14 heads of cauliflower.  OWOWOWOWOW  plus a whole flat of strawberries.

We rode around checking KR's swarm traps and got six boxes of cereal, all expired but unopened.  Toasty O's, corn flakes and corn biscuits.  Will said he wants them and we will go visit him later next week.

We took a nap and I slept for over an hour, feeling much better after the nap.

I cooked the half head of cabbage from last week with two cauliflower and Jon Liu came by for four head of cauliflower and chat

We had dinner and then Nancy and Boon came by with some really large loquats  Boon got laid o from his job.  I wonder if he is going to retire.  Nancy does not know when she can open her shop, Color Me Mine.  That kind of place is a luxury and I wonder how many people will go.

We went to bed, I was really tired.

NO KLONIPIN !!!!

Friday FINALLY????

What good is the weekend is everyday is the weekend?

We got up late, well, later than usual, 6 30.  We drove to Hickory Park, as it is going to be so so hot.  We dropped off the weighted blanket for Sarah and Gracie had a good time chasing the squirrels in the park.

Russell came by about 12 30 and helped KR with the bee hive.  They got the honey, which was not that much, only about 1.5 gallons.  I rode my bike around to see what i can get.  Not much.  Maybe end of the month when people move.

KR hung out a bunch of swarm traps as Doug brought down four more nucs.  Industrial Center, Vince's spaghetti, and one just on the other side of New Horizon/Levy School.

We had Zoom meeting with the bible study group.

Doug came by at 8 45 and he and KR stapled up the hive and loaded them all for Santa Maria.  I stuck my phone out to take a pic and GOT STUNG AGAIN !!!!!!!!  On my right forearm.

Kurt called and I had sent him a bunch of Snaps about the hive removal.  Man they got really aggressive, so glad KR has no more hives.  My arm itched like crazy.

THEN I COULD NOT SLEEP.

I did not take any klonipin this morning, and I have been tapering off, taking about .2 mg in the morning, plus the amitriptyline  10 mg am.  I felt like I was awake the whole night, but maybe not because I was still not that tired the next day.  I moved to the other room and listened to a sermon, usually that would just put me to sleep, but NOOOO.......

Klonipin withdraw is no bueno

THURSDAY I would have been working except for the ..........

Got up by 5 45 and KR left for surfing, I started taking out all the trash and dog doo and the Roomba started vacuuming.  At least Honey does not seem to be broody any more.  Today's forecast is 80 DEGREES !!!!!!!!  With no rain in sight.  Oh man, people will be out and about...

We need to start looking for a roofer too.

I also washed the carpet I had picked up from Costco parking lot and brought over to mom's garage.  It is a little stained, I will see if I can get it cleaner.  I hung it on the glass table at mom's to dry.

I also cut the six holes or the shield, hoping it would work.  We shall see.

I started cleaning the garage, taking all my dental stuff out and cleaning them up, getting rid of the stuff.  KR got the bee stuff set up for tomorrow with Russell MacQuerey.

Doug came by and brought four more nucs.  He said his company is testing him, then he has to stay at hotel until result comes back then to work for THREE WEEKS !!!!

He had a n95 on when he arrived.

Shirley is ok.

I also started the weighted blanket, for Sarah of BNT who lives around the corner by Hickory. They have a jujube tree !!!!  I finished it finally and she said she will pick up tomorrow.

Wednesday EARTH DAY 4-22-2020

KR got up really early and went down to Huntington to surf.  He said it was suppose to be good but was so so.  He got home about the same time I got home.  I rode to Jon's and delivered a bag of lettuce and a fennel bulb.  Then I stopped at Von's for some Dave's pickles but the wait was long to check out.  I wore my mask of course.

I stopped at Walmart and got a "Pocket Folder" which is really thick plastic and maybe Dr Hamdan can cut the little squares for me to be used in the head bands he made.

I sat outside for a bit and got stung by a bee, on the palm of my left hand.  KR went over to mom's to get the honey spinning equipment and I got STUNG AGAIN, THIS TIME IN THE BUTT, where I sit on and my butt cheek is so itchy.

We went for a drive up to PV and we walked around Tom Turner's old house.  I am hoping the trails open soon.  It is so ridiculous not to be able to walk to the bluff.

We came home and I cooked the last steak for dinner.  My hand and butt really itch AND hurt.  I took an atarax to stop the itching and went to bed.

Tuesday, April 21, 2020

Tuesday

KR went to Huntington to go surfing early.  Said he saw Brian there suiting up.

I rode to Bill Brand's house and dropped off two masks I made, then to drop off the choo-choo clock Amy wanted, Newton and Madison, then through the alley and came home.  KR just arrived after I came back.

I then went and dropped off the food for donation at 1405 Crenshaw, where Saddleback has an office.
Then I sat outside and read the paper and worked on my tan.

I finally asked KR what his problem is, and he said he is BORED !!!!

I am NEVER bored, so many things to do, like even just organizing the garage, which needs work.  But he does not seem to think that.

We went to farmers market and got some stuff, and made smoothie with the strawberries and blackberries.  There is also a bucket of lettuce.

KR will harvest honey this Friday.  Temp says 82

I cooked shrimp scampi for dinner.  Brian came by and had his dinner.

We had zoom bible group meeting.

WEEK SIX OF LOCK DOWN 4/20/2020

KR got up really early and moved six nucs to the farm.  He brought back some seeds, but no flowers.

I went to the office to drop off the floor mat for Maribel and to pick up the desk, and shop at El Super with 75 dollars of food.  Not too many people there.  Only Tracy at the office.

Then I went to CSUDH to pick up the face shields.  The bands are great, but the shield part is plastic that is pretty flimsy so I FaceTime Maribel to see if we can figure out how to get stronger shields to clip on so we don't have to change.  Or maybe we should just change them daily.

NO one at CSUDH, nice campus, never been there before.

I had appt with Chris Bruno at 1 15.  After I saw him, I took a run down the Avenues.  I mad the first mile at 9 58 a mile.  A RECORD OF LATE.  The second one was 10 38 a mile.  OH well.  I came home and made steak.  Brian locked the key in the house again, and he came by and had dinner with us.  He ate the meatloaf he bought and w had steak and beets and salad, etd.

Went to bed and listened to the sermon of Paul V.  KR fell asleep in the middle of the middle that we didn't hear last time.

I got up around 11 30 and ate some steak.  MUST NOT DO THAT AGAIN

Sunday, April 19, 2020

Sunday

We walked Gracie at Lago Seco Park and saw all the veges that was not been picked or eaten.  Mary Eileen has a plot there.  Gracie sniffed a lot of interesting pee.

Came home and hung out the laundry, and I made four more masks and went for a ride to drop off the unicorn at Charity Kim's over by Ralph Calle Mayor, and then around the alleys for stuff.  Nothing except a boogie board I would have to go back to get.

We watched Mike of KHC, then a little of Branch of Hope, then tried to watch FB live of ARMED, but they were having difficulties, so we would watch later in the week.  After trying a bit, they gave up and we gave up.

KR went to COSTCO, if you believe it to get bird seeds and scallops.  He cooked that in garlic and butter, it was amazing.

We watched Branch of Hope and the Q&A in which KR asked his question about those that are 'excluded' by God to be his people.

He also found three mulberries.

I posted the vacuum.  No takers yet.

KR bought a bottle of wine and wanted to have it for dinner.  I reminded him that he had decided not to drink unless it is a "social" occasion, and he said he did have a beer two days ago.  I didn't tell him that if I didn't get him one he would just go drink by himself anyway.  AND BE all rude and hurtful and not communicative.

THIS LOCK DOWN NEEDS TO GO AWAY !!!!!!!!

He had to go get the bee hive at the rental house for MOVING them tomorrow.

Saturday

KR didn't go surfing, and we walked around PV and it had rained a little.  Weird weather.  Was not suppose to rain.  We ran into Cecile and Brian MacQuerey.  We walked on the center divider, and went home.

The sun came out.  He went to the farmers market while I did laundry and changed the bed linen.  There was a bunch of beets and a head of cabbage and two cauliflower.  I rode my bike to Jon Liu's and gave him some boba tea and beets.  We cooked some here too.  On the way home, I stopped at Ralphs and got some fried chicken.  It was yummy.

Everyone wore a mask at the grocery store.

We had dinner and listened to half of a sermon before KR started falling asleep.

WHAT DAY IS THIS? Father's 88th birthday Friday

it is getting to be like all the days run together

I could hardly wait until it all goes away

KR went surfing but not at 6 am like yesterday  He said he had a good time.

I made turkey tetrazzini and the vegetables were from the earthquake food, so took me over half hour to boil them and the peas were still hard,   I went to Maggie's and got more materials and elastic and drop off the latest mask I made for the old folks.

KR came home and after lunch sat outside.  I joined him for about an hour.

I made more masks, all black for Chris Cannon who said the Camp Pendleton Marines needed them so we walked down by his house and dropped off the 7 I made.  My back was killing me after all that sewing,  I think I should change my FB pic of empty spools of thread.

It was nice and sunny down at the beach, with the poppies blooming by Ave B.

We ate what, I don't remember.

We did have Zoom meeting with the folks.  All showed up except for Tony and Cindy.  We had salad and something else.

THURSDAY still no work

I would have been working.  So I am working making masks.

KR went surfing in Huntington, and I went running at 6 40 am.  TWO miles, first mile 10 22 a mile.  And the second mi.e at 10 57.  I will break the 10 minute mile yet.  The knees and hip feel ok.

After KR came home we went to the park and hung the bird houses.  THEN I made more masks.  They are starting to look like sports bras, well, unibra.  It is taking too long as I am trying to get them just "RIGHT".

I got the email from CSUDH about the face shield, so I will go and pick them up as soon as they have them ready.  Only 10, but hey better than nothing.

Adele and Julie and I had our Zoom get together at 4.  We went for a ride after to Alta Vista Park, and had a walk around with Gracie.

Dinner was Sushimon and we listened to Zack N and went to bed.

Wednesday 4-15-2020

IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE TAX DAY, but the date got rolled back because too many people cannot do their taxes and now can file by 7-15.  Three months of extension.

We didn't walk the dog this morning, KR went surfing in Huntington and said it was really crowded but he had a good time.  It was also 76 degrees !!!!!!

I rode to Maggie's and gave her some masks, and then to Davis Hom house and gave her some masks, then up the hill Crest to get some kitchen utensil sorter thingy, and then home to make more masks.  Mary came by and got some flowers and she will be back for a mask for Vana.

KR had some yummy phyllie steak I cooked.  I also stopped at 99 cent store this morning for bell peppers and hair conditioner, etc.

I sat outside for about two hours !!!!  Working on my tan.

I sent in my time sheet but I think it was wrong.  So I will figure out what hours and how to get paid.

I got a bunch of back packs from the dumpsters, all new and I posted them.  Small ones from KMart or something like that

We had a nice ride around to check swarm traps, and they ALL HAD BEES, so KR would be busy tonight getting them all in.

He missed the Zoom meeting, and we all were on line.  The Gooch's bathroom is almost finally done.  Started in November, and finished in April.  What a record,

We went to bed without listening to a sermon (I think as it is Friday and I cant remember if I don't blog daily)

Tuesday

Today's walk is Hermosa Beach.  We parked on Hermosa Ave and went to Pier Ave.  NO ONE AROUND, although you can sit at the plaza area and drink coffee.

We came home and I went running, the first mile was 11 03 and the second mile was 10 25  hahahah  not bad.  Hip and knee don't hurt that much.

I also cycled 6.09 miles at about 6.5 miles per hour, very slow for a bicycle.

Taiwan had ZERO new case of coronavirus.  HURRAY  !!!

KR had a long talk with Rich Cook and we went to bed about 9 pm.  My teeth were really sensitive so I used the SensiStrips and they are better.  I also used some varnish.

Monday BEGINNING OF WEEK 5 of LOCK DOWN

I am tired of this lock down.

We decided to go to PV and walk around Malaga Cove and see some peacocks on the wall, by the post office,.

KR goes to Home Depot and gets wood and makes FOUR bird houses.  He hangs two.

I text Brandon Bernstein about my account.  No stimulus check yet.  I sew more masks and Maggie says she has more bags for me, and elastic too.

The folks at NH are really appreciative of what I am making.  Getting better at it.

Dinner was corn beef and cabbage I made in crock pot.  YUM

We listened to a sermon and went to bed.

HE IS RISEN HAPPY EASTER 2020

What a strange Easter

KR goes to the ranch and takes two nucs of bees.

Then he transfers the swarm he got yesterday at the industrial park.

We watch first the KHC Easter service, then the Branch of Hope and then ARMED, and we saw Diamond get on, then Will gets on.

After all that, which was from 9 am to 11 30 am.  We putter around the house.  Afternoon we took Gracie for a walk down at the beach.  KR's poppies are blooming, and it is still cloudy, and the beach empty.

We had left over for dinner, wontons in chicken soup.  YUM and watched a little TV.

Saturday

So another day of WHERE YOU WANNA WALK???

I had some elastic to pick up so I said  up Crest.  We went to Alta Loma Park and it was very nice just on the back of Rolling Hills Country Club.  Looks like there are still houses being built on the back 9.  They look huge and wonder how many millions.

Got home and sew more masks.  Maggie says there are more people wanting them.

I rode around with KR to check the swarm trap.  HE GOT ONE !!!

Went to Farmer's Market.  Not much for US to eat but chickens were happy.  Only got one onion or two,

Then I went running for 2.3 miles, at 11 minute mile.  HAHAHAHA

We watched another Good Friday service.  We also sat outside a bit in the sun.  It was nice and warm.

Went to bed after talking to mom.  Was suppose to connect at 8 but mom was in the shower.  She had a fight with Lovely about going to the shower yesterday,  thinking she already took one.  Man Lovely has it rough.

KR and I had mom and dad for years but they were still in the compliant stage then, kind of.

Wonder if Kurt went to Easter !!!

Friday, April 10, 2020

Friday

When is it going to end?

April 10, and four weeks into this lock down. We didn't get up til late, like 6 30.  Both of us were tired.  The rain ad let up and finally quit about 7,  We walked the dog around the village again, looking at windows of places that we had not seen before  No one around.

We came home and I made several more masks.  Many people want them.  I rode my bike to pick up some elastic, as I am running out.

We watch KHC Good Friday service,

KR sold some honey to Michelle DeLand, and took a nap.

I rode my bike and stopped at Tokyo Central to buy coconut milk for curry chicken KR is making.

There was a line and the lady was taking temps !!!!

IT IS ABOUT TIME

Most people wearing masks.

KR's chicken was great.  We watched another Good Friday service  SBCC was very good !!!!

Went to bed.  Grounds very wet

Thursday, April 9, 2020

WOULD have been working THURSDAY 4-9-2020

I couldn't get up this morning, just slept on until almost 7 !!!!

It started raining again and is suppose to rain all day.  Good kind of weather to keep people inside.

I spent a good portion of the day making masks.

We drove down to the village and walked Gracie during the brief time it was not raining.

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT RAINED ALL DAY, just about, IN APRIL ????

I guess God is good in that no one will want to go out in the rain.,

Had a nice long chat with Eddie for his security clearance, about mom's birthday, ours, and when did we go where ???

Taiwan still has school and everything is open.  We should have done that now we not open anywhere,

Vicky Sargent said the Y would clean the poop but no one cleaned it up.

She said she would do it when it stop raining.  It s just a slow drizzle all day.

KR went to the store and bought a chicken and the stuff for peanut butter cookies.  He made a lot and brought some to Matthew.  He cannot have contact per Donna, the 6 ft social distancing thing.  I am so tired of having to stay away from people.

John C even came over and brought some cinnamon roll.  YUM

We area ll going to get fat if it does not quit raining.,

UCLA decided all summer classes are going to be online, until August 28.  This thing is not going away soon enough.

We went to bed by 8  I was tired

Wednesday, April 8, 2020

Wednesday more of doing nothing

We drove down to the Village and walked around.  No one around.  Went to Keith Komatsu office and he was WORKING, by himself and in full battle gear on.  Gracie liked the new smells.

Came home and I did a load of laundry and tried to make some masks.  I saw several tutorials online and got to sewing.  Mad five total, different patterns.  Maggie said the folks at New Horizon would like some so I am going to deliver some there.

KR went to Home Depot and bought dirt, again.  I transplanted the milkweeds and he transplanted the mulberry tree.,  I rode around in the neighborhood.  Nothing to get.  Brian M also said I left the keys in the lock at mom's.  Yikes.  I ran over there and picked them up.

HE is one funny duck.  Burnt the garlic toast.  Told him to put the fire alarm back and he said it is always chirping when he cooks.,  Told him about the vent and the hood and to suck the smoke out.

It rained a little this morning then no more.

We had Zoom meeting again.  Everyone on except Donna who said she thinks she is catching something.  We hope we all stay well.  The city of LA might require everyone to wear masks when they are out.  We shall see.

I went to bed before 9.  TIRED of being cooped up.

Tuesday, April 7, 2020

Tuesday to Santa Maria

I had another weird dream,.  Not about Natasha this time.

We started driving to Santa Maria.  KR would NEVER have wanted to do this drive but now that he cannot go anywhere we drove,  There was no traffic and we went to Costco first to get gas and eat, bu when we got to Santa Maria Costco, the gas station was closed for a thorough cleaning, so we had two hot dogs,  I cannot remember the last time I had a Costco dog.

We bought some nuts and three bags of pea chips and bird seeds as the Costco was pretty empty and we didn't want to brave the Torrance Costco,

We drove to Doug's and got the nucs.  He looks like he has not shaved for a couple o weeks.  We didn't stay long.

Drove home and stopped at Oxnard for gas at Costco.  Not too many people, we had to pee.  Got home and cooked ribs and then watched sermon on line

It rained down here off and on all afternoon and evening.

Lovely says that the school went back and the pools are open and everything is great,

OH WELL, should have stayed in Taiwan.  But Gracie and Mooch and Mini moo and the hens,,,,,,,,,,,

Monday, April 6, 2020

MONDAY the beginning of the FOURTH WEEK of shut in

I got 'woken' up by KR.  He is feeling MUCH BETTER.  It poured a bit last night and now at 7 am he is on Zoom and it is raining.  I changed and washed the sheets.  The wonderdog is still limping a bit.  About three days ago she was chasing the s thing out back and really tweaked her right shoulder, so we have been giving her carprofen daily.  And maybe today just one.  So she is not getting a walk, just riding around with us.

Doug text yesterday that he had 6 nucs ready and we might drive to Santa Maria tomorrow if it does not rain.

I had appt with Bradley Thomas MD and said my knee is just tweaked, so should try chicken comb injection, but somehow nothing got approved, then later Kevin called and said that the injection is 900 dollars   NO WAY

I came home after dropping off some plants and getting two baskets for Kurt;s room from Donna lives off of Zakon.  I stopped at Ralphs and bought some chicken and orange juice,

Then it was the appt with Chris Bruno.  1 15.  KR drove me and walked Gracie a little and then picked me up.

It is going to rain.  I was tired and went to bed pretty early.,

Sunday, April 5, 2020

Palm Sunday 4-5-2020

KR got up early to take the bees from Todd's house to the ranch.  I got up too.  It is going to rain later,  I went out to the YMCA lot and found at least three piles of poop in the lot by the back fence.  I sent an email to them asking them to clean it up.

KR came home and we watch church.  First Mike at KHC, then ARMED with Pastor Thrash.  He was great.  Then we rode our bikes to Lego Seco Park to deliver the dish rack.

I had put out the bucket of tangerines for Julio Mora, the paper guy to take SOME.  He must have misunderstood and TOOK THE WHOLE BUCKET !!!!   Now we have no tangerines.  Oh well.  More will come.

KR had lasagna.  Was very good.  Then he took a nap and I cleaned the garage.

We drove to Eagle's Nest in PV and there were four cars there and a group of high schoolers smoking dope and a mountain biker going down the trail.  KR took some pics and text to Jon Remy and we went home.

KR had soup and I didn't feel too good and went to bed early.  Like by 7 30 and was asleep soon.

Saturday, April 4, 2020

Saturday

Even though I had been getting up like 5 am this whole week, today KR got up first,  I think this social distancing thing is depressing KR.  I took the truck and drove to Joann's and the Gooch's to drop off some flowers.  Hoping it would brighten their day

KR started getting rid of the weeds growing in the cracks of the driveway.  He weeded the front of the house so nicely yesterday.

I go and try to hook up the new DVD player.  it works well, and the problem I finally figured out is the remote of the Samsung TV.  So I hooked the DVD to the 20 in Dynex screen and it plays the movie.  I ordered a new remote from eBay.

KR went to Maria W and pruned her trees, then he tried to take a nap, and then rode away with Gracie.  I called him and he said he needed some alone time.  I think the virus segregation is getting to him,  I started cleaning the downstairs walk in closet, getting rid of stuff.

He came home and refused to talk to me and just disappeared.  Maybe he went for a walk.  I started cooing the lasagna.  He would not have some, had left over turkey soup instead.  I started making a mask from these cloth napkins I had.  Then I called mom, or Lovely actually called me, on our regular time at 8.  I spoke to her for almost 30 minutes.  Lovely cut her hair so short.  It is shorter than KR's.

I finally went to bed at 9

Friday, April 3, 2020

Friday

I have been getting up early, like 4 45 and staying in bed until 5 30.  So for a few days, I got up before KR.

Still weighs about 111 in the morning, no more getting down to 108.  Think maybe I like the lighter me.  Lovely wrote they went to this goKart place, but Kurt could not make up is mind if he wants to go or not so they went without him,.

We are going to tell him that if he wants to stay for another semester, he would need to pay it himself or if he is coming home, he needs to pay the plane ticket.

We then took a bike ride.  Parked at Golden Cove and rode to Trump and back.  A total of only 8.12 miles.  We stopped at Jaime's and took a look at his parents house.  No upkeep for the last 30 years.  He is slowly renovating the kitchen.  What a view though.  The driveway is a wreck.

We had lunch and I sat outside for about TWO WHOLE HOURS while KR went to the rental house and got tangerines and then some yard work.  Weeding all around.  A got a tan !!!!

We had left over for dinner and we forgot there was a zoom meeting with the bible study group.  We had TWO ZOOM sessions and maybe we should buy zoom stock.  Joann seems so down about something.  Donna of course was in the car by herself.  No John.  Michael Gooch seemed down, as he has to lay off people at his work.  We are all slowly going bonkers about staying at home and no surf and no dive.

A paddle board guy got hauled off to jail in Malibu as he defy the ban and went paddle boarding.  What is this world coming to.  We didn't listen to a sermon, just went to bed.

Thursday

I would have worked today if the CORONAVIRUS had not impacted our lives.  We went up to the farm to pick more flowers and to give Martine and his worker  total of 200 dollars.  Martine said some florists have come up to buy flowers.  GOOD

I distributed the flowers to Reggie, Sue Lopez, Grace/Rocky, Danielle.  Everyone needs to  brighten up their days.

I also signed me and KR up for volunteering for the Coronavirus thing.  CareHarbor sent an email suggesting we do that, and why not???  God is in control

I rode around the neighborhood  Didn't find much.

Adele, Julie and I had our zoom tea meeting.  It was nice to 'see' them too.

We listened to Paul V sermon and went to bed.

Wednesday 4/1/2020

We walked the dog early and I got a pic of the blooming poppies.  Not too many people out and not many cops telling people to get going.

We had an office meeting via Hangouts meet 9 - 10:30.  Everyone attended and it was interesting seeing everyone on the screen.

I hung out and cleaned the stove, it was pretty hard I don't know why as I used Easy Off oven cleaner, still had to use sand paper.

KR did some weeding in the serenity garden, and planted some flower seeds.  We had left over, soup, etc for lunch and dinner.

We had Zoom bible study, everyone except John joined.  It was nice "seeing" everyone.

Went to bed right after.  At least the free ZOOM is 40 minutes long.
