So the roofers came at about 7 15 and started banging away. It was more wood work. They finished the wood and then Rod's people came and started the fascia work. One piece of wood was actually like crooked or warped and it was just laying on the front walk way and you can see it is warped.
Rod also looked at the ceiling in the living room where the nails or something got jostled somehow and was coming through the dry wall. He said he will ask the painter whose roof he is doing to come and patch and paint. Something needs to be done. I think part of it is that there were about 12 guys here on the roof working at the same time. I have never seen anything like it Normally you see maybe 5 or 6 guys, but 12??? It sounded like a drum roll yesterday.
I tried to get on the webinar at 9 but I could not. Had an appt with Chris at 11 15 and he was almost 10 minutes late. Got home and Rod's workers had just left. They cleaned the garage pretty well, but still ALOT of dust and grime. I was so dirty and filthy by the time we were done with the garage at about 4 !!!!!
Andreas and Marisol came about 9 15 and started working. After they cleaned the house, they helped me with the garage and we put most of the stuff away, and they wiped away the grime of the pantry. I managed to put most of the stuff away, and KR helped a little and then he went to water the yard and eat.
Also the shingles got delivered about 4 and they used this conveyer belt thing to put all that up on the roof, TOOK a long time to get them stacked so they don't fall down and kill someone.
He got me about 12 heads of broccoli. I rode to Jon's and gave them five. Andreas did not like broccoli so they didn't get any. BUT they got two large boxes of clothes that Lovely and Suz had given us, and I was going to donate, but hey, lets give to someone who might like it.
KR cooked the steak that was marinating for two days. Then Sarah said there was food for me. We were blessed with bittermelon soup, and a pho like dish with ground chicken and shrimp, and kho shrimp that was spicy and yummy, Tomorrow she said she is making cha ca thang long, dill fish.
I stayed up until about 10 and went to bed. Tomorrow is inspection by Torrance Planning and then the shingles start.
