Memorial Day 2021

 What a difference.  Last year there was NOTHING going on, and this year, every one came out but the sun did not participate.

KR had IN PERSON meeting with Chris Cannon and gang, and they went out to eat at Good Stuff, except KR came home and we walked the dog.  I had already walked .67 miles to mom's and then walked another .9 miles at the park, so by the time we came back, I was pooped.  THEN WE WENT BIKING.  Just around the allies and the neighborhood, 4.35 miles.  

Denise came for a visit and Gaia and Gracie had a great time.

SO after that, I had to lay down, and promptly fell asleep.

KR had some lunch, turkey burger and went over to Yeye's.  Kurt wanted to go to the Ding house for a Memorial Day BBQ and KR said he would watch Yeye, so he went there and read a book.

I booked our SEPTEMBER trip to Florida.

I drove over there with Gracie and some dinner for KR and some chicken patties for Gracie.

Kurt was suppose to be back 6 30 but showed up at 7.  He said he had a good time.

Confirmation Sunday

 KR tried to go surfing again, but no go

We walked Gracie at the park.

Then to church.  Kurt said he was going to COTB but it was Johnny Anderson so he came with us.  Paul had us up there and introduced us as NEW MEMBERS.  We wore the Fourth of July vests and looked so cute up there.

We stopped at JJ and then dropped them off.  KR did a bit more weeding, and I went for a ride around the neighborhood, oh and I sat outside for a bit of sun before the ride.  KR took a nap.

I also went to see Rita.  She is now at Baycrest on Garnet street.  There are three to a room, and she is supposedly in quarantine, so I talked to her through the window.  The lady was cleaning the floor and she was so nice to open the window a crack.  I also went to her house to bring her a jacket and brought it back to her.

We stopped at Yeye's and I made dad clean the wall mess that he made.  Today I did 7 miles on the bike

I cooked a cabbage and KR cooked turkey burgers on the grill outside.  I went to feed BC

Took a shower and went to bed by 9

Saturday

 So  KR tries surfing but no go so he finishes weeding the serenity garden.  Looks so nice.

I lectured Kurt last night about DOING THE RIGHT THING, so this morning I woke him up and made him go out there to weed with KR.  He actually was out there for a few hours.

Violet called.  Dad had another fit and was throwing things, and says he was going to kill himself again.  Violet says that she thinks that dad does not want him to go so he throws a fit and this time was throwing his drink for breakfast and says he won't eat.  I told her to leave him alone and he calmed down and they ate breakfast.  His dementia is different than moms  I also made Kurt sweep and mop the floors.

I changed the sheets and did laundry.

They went to farmers market and got a whole bunch of cabbage.

I did a bunch of the PT exercises.

Kurt went over to Yeye's as Violet left at 4

We had left over steak for dinner 

PT Friday

 I got up at 6 am.  PT was at 7 and he worked me good !!!  Learned a bunch of stuff.

Did laundry and KR did yard work. Then we went for a bike ride around the alleys.  My usual 6 miles around Marble Estates.  We started at 11 and it was nice and warm.  He then went back to the alley and picked up all these crochet throws.  I started washing them to give away.

Melissa McHenry from BNT also said that she is moving and has all this food that she wants to give away.  I drove up to Rolling Hills Road and got four large bags of food.  Then we went to Chase to do banking.  I could only add KR to the savings account.  Then we got the Rose Hills stuff notarized and came home,  I drove to feed BC, but he just looked at me.  Would not come around,  I went to Baycrest to see Rita.  She was not there yet.  I dropped off some flossing stuff.  Ellen said she was going there tonight for about a week.

I came home and Kurt asked me to take his Monday Memorial Day shift, and I said no.  I also tried to pay Hampton Inn in Palm Desert and the Inn said they require onsite payment,  REALLY???

I went to bed by 9.  Tomorrow I will try to do the schedule for Violet and Kurt.

Diane's Surprise Birthday Party, and work and Rose Hill

KR went surfing

 I went to bed last night at 9 pm and got up at 5 30, not bad.  Got to work on time, and Natalie is off, and Maribel is off.  The schedule was not bad, and then GOT BAD.  The four Martinez sibs just don't brush their teeth.  Oh my.  After work, which I left about 1, I drove to Rose Hill cemetery and the Pham's were already there.  

We started the paperwork, and realized that KARL has to sign, so after much discussion, I brought the paperwork home, and we will go to Chase Bank to notarize it tomorrow, Friday.  The traffic was BAD coming home on the 605.  Now I have to go NEXT Wednesday, again, to get everything done.  Thanh Pham did not bring cashier check, and next week he will.

Got home and KR was at Costco.  I was REALLY tired, but the party must go on.

KR bought the balloons, and we arrived at Samba Brazilian ALL YOU CAN EAT at 7 and Diane and Seth arrived at 7 15.  SHE WAS SURPRISED, and we had such a nice time.  There was so so much meat.  Steak, chicken, pork, all kinds of meat and more meat and sausage and meat.  The service was really slow, and the salads didn't come for the longest time, but I ate almost all of the parsley for my salad,  WE ALSO SNUCK out two bags of the meat.  The Kriegers got one and we got one.  As soon as we got home, Kurt started chowing down on them.  I took a shower and went to bed.  It was late  10;40

Lunar Eclipse and PT

 So KR set the alarm at 4 15 and we got up to watch the lunar eclipse.  The moon was over the Lopez house and we saw it slowly disappear, and it stayed dark for awhile.  I went back to sleep but KR said he could not sleep.  He went surfing and I didn't get up until 6 30

I did paperwork, and cleaned and went to PT at 9 30.  Jason WORKED me good, but I seem to have a little more flexibility.  I have a POOL PT next week.  Very exciting.  I came back and stopped at Korean store for meat and CVS for shampoo.  Got a 700cc bottle Head and Shoulders, CVS brand for $1.08 !!!!

We talked to Eric Garcia about Gracie's diagnosis.  Still not that great.  Wonder if we are going to spend some big money on fixing her.  The review at the Dog and Cat Dental in Culver City is not that great.  We shall see.  I gave away the green scooter.  I cooked some bulgogi for dinner, plus some tomatillos, that I had never cooked before.

Kurt worked out a little in the garage, getting a little muscles.  He also got a haircut.  Looks very nice.  I got the Rose Hill stuff together and will be selling it tomorrow.

Took a shower and went to bed.

Tuesday working

 KR went surfing, or tried.  He was in a better mood this morning, wink wink

I got up according to Fitbit, at 6 17.  I had to work, so after KR got home, he took Gracie to Rosie's and of course he overdid it, at least according to me, and had to give her a carprofen, as she was limping a little.

I saw Jesse Brown, and then Mable Duncan.  Jesse came back and KR picked us up, for lunch.  We were suppose to go to Eat at Joe's but since I had to be back at work at 1 30.  On the way there, we saw El Tarasco on PCH and it was TACO TUESDAY.

We all had three tacos with sodas all for 10 dollars each.  It was great.

I go back to the office, and Darryl left a msg that he is running late, so we rescheduled to Monday June 7.  Kathy says that she is not allowed to work when there is no doctor there.  I don't get it.  Why is Dr Weston so so cheap?

I came home, stopping by Yeye's first, and brought all the rolls of brown paper home to give away, plus one box of his printed books to the recycler.  KR took a nap.  Kurt took my car to SMOG, and his car for tire rotation, and oil change and wiper.  Then he went to the beach?  Or a hot tub.

KR went to BOH for Revelation reading.

I cleaned the garage this afternoon and I was EXHAUSTED.  At least I got the extra plastic dishes drawer cleaned, and the work bench somewhat cleaned.

We were in bed about 9 30  pretty late

Monday

 I was up before KR.  He had Zoom and I did a load of laundry, cleaned more stuff, getting it ready for Maribel and Andrea.  They got here about 9 and worked hard until almost 1.  KR tried to go surfing, nothing to be had.  He got ONE squirrel and I got one.  Gracie had a mad time chasing them in the back yard that she needed a carprofen before she can settle for nap.

The watch said my sleep score was 80, which is good.

I was really tired after the laundry, and laid back down.  KR cooked breakfast and then went and returned the tables to the Gooch's.

I went to visit Rita at Torrance Memorial

Kurt went up to Corrina's to see how to take care of their house this summer.  They always go to Nebraska for about a month.

I went riding for about 9 miles.

We had left over wedding food.  YUM

KR seems a bit mad about something.  I just let him stew.  

He went to bed early, and was asleep.  I went to bed at 9

William and Diamond got MARRIED

 So today is the day

We got up and was going to walk Gracie but there were two squirrels to be had in the back yard so we just got the place MORE ready for the wedding today.

We went to church.  Violet and Yeye did not go.  Kurt went down to Long Beach to pick up Will and to take the piano down.  We got home and they arrived a few minutes after we did.  Will has an all white suit, with purple pocket hanky and purple tie.  KR wore brown slacks and blue blazer and long sleeve white shirt and tie.  We left a few minutes after 12 and were the first ones there, after Fidel, the best man.  

Yesterday we got a text from Larry that the church can accommodate more people but Kurt did not want to go to church and neither did Mimi.  I would have liked to invite Melissa and Mary Eileen.

Pastor Thrash got things going pretty quick.  There was no music, so we all sang the wedding theme, and Diamond and Larry walked in.  Will and he listened to Pastor's short sermon and then they said their vows, WITH MASKS ON, dang, and then it was outside to the front for pictures.  Larry borrowed a gull wing Tesla.  Retail at 180 000 big ones.

We drove down to the Japanese Tea Garden at Torrance civic center, and took pictures.  They were suppose to close at 3, then they said would close at 2.  We drove home and NO ONE WAS THERE YET.  The rest of the Johnson clan was suppose to bring the food down.  It took them another hour to get down here.  We put the rest of the plates and utensils and the runners for the front walk way and I practiced a little of the wedding recessional music and played when they walked up our house.

THE FOOD  oh man

We had bbq pork ribs, baked ham, hot links, chicken kebobs, potato salad, asparagus, spinach hors d'oeuvres, candy, margaritas, red wine, sparkling cider, assorted sodas, water, coffee, deviled eggs, collar greens, and of course cake. 

They even had first dance, and line dancing and all kinds of fun.  Dad and Violet also came, and Mimi was a hoot.  At the end, we broke down everything and Mimi helped returning the furniture so that when the cleaning crew came, they can do the work.

We were so so exhausted.  I had to change out of my pink outfit, as I ate too much.

We went to bed by 8 30 and I didn't get up once to pee.

Vax No Vax Saturday

 So KR tried to go surfing, no go, we walked to the park with Gracie and got read to go to Vax on Florence at Holy Tabernacle of God Missionary Church.  There were three other nurses to vax so we were not needed but we had to get out of the house so we went.  The folks were so nice, and Evelyn Lo is so so sweet.  Hubert Chan was there too.  KR was the runner, and I just sat around in the car and we left about noon to eat at Charlie's Famous Fried Chicken at the corner of Western and Manchester.  It was so so good.  We got the 8 piece and drove to Jesse Owens park and sat in the van and ate.

We then went to Yeye's and picked up Gracie and then went to Rita's for a nap.  I was even asleep.  Larry then text that the 6 foot tables were not long enough, so I said Kurt would go to Michael Gooch and borrow more tables.  

Larry and Christine came back and placed the tables where they thought would be good.  We were so so surprised that when we got home, ALL OF THE paintings and lobsters were taken off the walls, and these purple swags were all over.  All the chairs were covered and tie backs were placed on them.  Oh wow

I went to pick up my dry cleaning and to Yeye's.  Violet brought me a dress.  It is very similar to my dress, with a little jacket and kind of rust color.  Christina picked the pink one.   Said it looks better on me.   26 bucks for dry cleaning, are you kidding me?

I took a shower and went to bed by 9 00

So tired

Walking the Fire Trail Friday

 So KR woke up at the crack of dawn and went surfing.  Said it was a lot of fun at the cove.  We then went and walked Gracie at the fire trail.  It was a total of about 1.3 miles and I was tired.  Took three advil and after we came home, Charity came with the piano for Will, and then we took a nap. 

KR finished the half bottle of the 20% tequila wine yesterday.

He opened the bottle of red wine he got from Costco for the wedding and had two glasses.  I think he is drinking too much.  LIKE everyday he drinks something.

I could not sleep. I rested.

I took Rita's mail and drove to Ellen's house to drop off.  

Taiwan is in LEVEL 3, and Lovely said you have to mask when driving???  REALLY????  And running outside you have to have your mask on?    REALLY???  They are going way too weird, even worse than we ever were.  

I went to visit Rita and she is in room 559 at Torrance Memorial still.  Don't know why.

KR took a shower and was in bed by 7 reading  I went to bed pretty early too

WORK NO WORK SICK OH NO

 I got up early and didn't feel right.  I don't know why if it is the 'sleep' gummy I took last night.  But that was at 8 pm, and I felt fine in the middle of the night when I got up to pee.  I felt HORRIBLE.  Like I was going to throw up.  Kind of like after my surgery when I was queasy.

I got dressed and went to work.  I tried to see if I can see my first patient, Tiara Joseph for a crown prep. NOPE, no go.  Maribel and Tracy took me home.  Maribel drove my car, and when she did the U turn I was so queasy I thought i was going to throw up.

I went straight to bed, and laid down for over three hours, not doing anything just praying for this whatever it is to go AWAY.  Finally about four hours later, I slowly felt better.

KR went surfing but it was no good.  He came home and split more wood.  Denise came by with Gaia and she and Gracie of course did a lick fest and then Carole came by and dropped off the chafing dish.

I went to Hobby Lobby to buy stuff, no go.  Then I went to Walmart to buy Sterno and more disposable pans.  They were too big for the chafing dish.  I went to the 99 cent store to buy sodas and other stuff, like champagne plastic glasses, and came home. 

Will and Diamond was suppose to be here, at 4 15, didn't show up until about 4 45.  We booked them a room at the Hampton Inn, Palm Desert for their honeymoon, next weekend.  He took his birth certificate and we had a nice visit.  He smells though and after he left, I had to spray the kitchen.  

KR had Naby beef stew.

PT Wednesday

 So we were up early.  Taiwan is lever THREE, almost to complete lock down.  Lovely is having a heck of a time getting mom not to dig poop.  Poor dear.  Thinking about if I should offer to go and bring mom back here for a few months, until the country receives the vaccines.

We walked Gracie down at the beach, and then I had PT with Alice today.  It was VERY interesting.  She and Jason focus on different things.  I have different exercises to do.  She wants me to do more isometrics.

I came home and tried to sleep.  NO GO  I was really really tired from PT

Nazareth said she was coming at 1, but she text and said her car broke down.  We had invited Denise P to come for a massage.  Will have to be another day.  KR finished the wood and took a nap  

We had left over, I had a lot of broccoli and kale and went to bed.

Working Tuesday

 We got up early and went to walk Gracie down at the beach.  We saw Rob with Pismol  Louis is also not doing too good, got some kind of terminal cancer.  Maybe 3 - 6 months.

Saw Natalie and she just LOVES Gracie.

We came home and I went to work.  KR went back to Costco to buy tequila and margarita mix and bird seeds.

I saw Joe Ward and Kimel.  Had to do a filling on Kimel and he was kind of hard to work on.

Came home was exhausted and went to sleep for a bit.

KR called me at 11 saying Larry called that Larry was just leaving his house.  WT???  KR hates it when people are late  He didn't get back until 3 and he said the day didn't turn out that bad.

KR cooked some yummy delicious scallops.  Kurt went to the farmers market and we got a lot of kale and broccoli.  I cooked some chicken we bought from Smart & Final this morning for Gracie.  She even ate the broccoli that was in the chicken broth.

KR then went out to get bees.  He had another swarm at the industrial center that he gave to Reggie.

I need to sleep better tonight.

Monday 5/17/2021

 I had to see Jaclyn Francis at Bill Philips office at 7 30 for impression for PLD.  Replacing 25, 26.  I came home and KR had been on Zoom with Chris and gang.  We went down to the beach to walk Gracie.  He had to drop me off at BCO for PT as we were a bit late and my appt was 10 am.  It was very good.  Jason tweaked me a bit, trying to get my knee up to my chin.  A long way off yet.

He picked me up, dropped me off and went back to Costco for margarita mix and wine and food and stuff but they didn't have the margarita mix, and no candy. 

I tried to nap.  NO GO

Denise came by about 12 30, bought us a chicken and some fruit and cookies and stayed and chat for a bit.  We ate the Sam's Club chicken and I tried to nap, again, after lunch.  NO GO

I went over to Rita's and took all her tupperware and dumped almost all the food and put the containers in the dishwasher.

We went to bed thinking of this weekend and of Gracie  She seems to be better.  Eating a bit more, and no more leaking reddish liquid from nostril.  And the face swelling is going down some.

SUNDAY

 We went for a walk to the park and when we got home, my leg was really sore.  I had to lay down and heat and ice.  They went to church.  KR picked up Violet and dad, and Kurt drove himself.

I was really tired but still cannot sleep.  They came back and KR took a nap and then the Johnson's came by.  Will and Diamond came, so did Larry and Christina and Amber.  Well, Larry has all kinds of idea about how the reception should look.  He bought all kinds of fabric, this shimmering purple thing, and this whitish shimmering material, which he said he is going to drape around the living room and the menu is going to be MADE by Amber and Christina.  Diamond wants the food and mom will cook?  Seems like so entitled.

They came here in a LARGE mercedes.

Will didn't even ask how we are doing, and what is going on with Gracie.  He just didn't care it seems, spent most of the time speaking with Kurt in the garage.

I went for another ride, 6 miles, and went to Violet's and told dad that Will is getting married and that he is invited.  He seems to be ok with that. 

Violet brought some salmon belly and it was delicious.  KR and Kurt had a burger.  I had cooked a patty for Gracie.  She is eating well.  Spoke with Eric Garcia and he thinks it is not osteosarcoma.  We pray

Finally went to bed after talking to mom.  She does not know that there is no elderly program, and Lovely said she does not like the AC nor the fan, but it is too hot.  Oh man, now that everyone is home, how is that going to work?

Gray Day and Gracie not feeling well

 I sprayed all the bloody sheets and washed them.  KR did yard work.  Gracie ate a chicken patty and some pain med, didn't want to eat the rest of the meat and rice.  She is still leaking bloody fluid  from her right  nostril.  Maybe I should text the surgeon/vet.  KR sent a text to Dr Stump

Taiwan  is on level THREE which is almost a lock down.  NO elderly program, NO church gathering ONLY take out, what is Lovely going to do?  And the weather is so so hot she says.

Chuck went up to Napa and we cannot even use the pool as Gracie should not be swimming, don't want her mouth to get infected.  KR split some more wood and cleaned the garden tool 'shed' getting ready for tomorrow  We had Sarah's left over for lunch and dinner,  Short ribs.  She and family are leaving for Hawaii tomorrow.

KR took a nap.  So did Kurt

We got FOUR flats of strawberries and KR cleaned them all and I drove some to Kila, and Danyah and Sarah and stopped at Neil and Adele's.  It is Neil's birthday and we chatted and sang happy birthday.  Harry is growing up to be a nice looking young man.  Way taller than dad.

We think the blue birds have a baby or two in the nest right outside the front windows.

Mulberry tree is producing a lot of berries

I rode for 6 miles again.  Two days in a row.  The blood did not come out of the sheets.  Oh well

I called and had a nice chat with Mom B.  They did not get the shots, and don't know if they will.  

OH NO GRACIE with CANCER????? FIRST bike ride

 So we could not get an appt with Dr White, and Jerome, KR's friend got us an appt with his wife's clinic, Village Pet Clinic, the one Chris Omoto used to own.  Dr Stump

We walked Gracie at the beach and brought her down.

BAD NEWS.......  MOST LIKELY OSTEOSARCOMA

We are just beside ourselves.  Gracie CANNOT have cancer.  He took out the one cuspid and sent the bone in for histology and will know in about 14 days if she has it.

Prognosis is poor if she has it, especially since it is in the maxilla, and treatment is excision with 1 cm clear margin.  No way.

We are just so sad

Denise came over and brought us food.  We cried.

I went for a BIKE RIDE, the usual 6 miles around teh alleys and Marble Estates.  It felt pretty good.

Kurt did a little yard work, and so did KR.

He picked Gracie up about 5 30 and she needs to be on clindamycin and pain med, carpofen for the next two weeks.  Gracie is so out of sort.  We gave her a little  food, meat with rice, soft stuff and she laid down and rested.  Kurt carried her up to our bed last night.  She is oozing a bit of blood.  Mostly from her nose I think.

Melissa and Wyatt came for a short visit.  I gave her a dozen eggs.  Wyatt is going to Big Bear today

KR working Thursday and Get together at Dr Sata's

 I didn't get up until 7 am.  Didn't take anything other than a little melatonin  KR went to work and my ALLERGY started.  I guess it was nice while it lasted no symptoms for over THREE WEEKS.  I told Mimi about the reception and she would like to come meet everyone  She said since it is at our house, why I gotta ask permission?  I text Diamond and Will.  They said ok, so Mimi is coming

I got to Dr Sata's but Jaclyn called and I had to talk to her for 20 minutes.  We had a nice time with all the staff, Melissa, Yvonne, Maribel, Tracy, Monica and Dr Sata.

Violet cooked some fab tofu and seafood dish of shrimp and scallops.  It was so so good.

I came home and then about 2 Maribel text and I went back to the office, I did a fiber post and buildup and prepped for PFM.  Had to imp twice, as the light body did not set up.  I got home and rested.

I washed the gray carpet.  

Looks like Gracie has a bad tooth upper right cuspid.  We are hoping for an appt at the vet to see if the tooth is bad.

KR came home from work and had dinner.

I went to Sarah's and got Diamond's necklace.  Cost me 650 big ones.

Took a shower and went to bed

Wednesday PV walk and PT

 We went to the Fire  Road for a walk.  It was .97 mile and I was pooped.  I came home had a little more pork and then went to sleep.  Thank goodness I set an alarm  PT was at 11 am and I got worked good.  KR went to have coffee with Mark Regan at Starbuck and then was chopping wood with Kurt.

After PT I tried to nap, no go

Naby brought over milk and some frozen food.  

Mary Eileen went to see Dr K for 18 & 19, and he thinks 18 needs retreat and 19 should come out and he will do an implant.

We went to church for our membership interview.  We both passed with flying colors.  

We spoke with Diamond and Will and Christina and Larry.  They are coming over on Sunday at 1 for a look see of the house and to decide on menu and maybe a tent or no tent, etc.  I don't know about those people, they seem to take awhile to get things going, especially in a discussion.  AND Will take it all for granted that we would do everything they ask.  I finally went to bed at 10

Tuesday

 Three weeks ago I had my hip surgery.

We went to the beach and i walked .79 miles at the beach.  Gracie had a gopher bump her nose.  KR got a squirrel at home, and I got one too, so now there are FOUR dead squirrels in the back yard.

Kurt is a butt.  I am still not talking to him.  NO CARD NO NOTHING for my birthday.  Two little cakes not enough,

KR cooked the steaks and we had a nice lunch,  He also cleaned a bunch of strawberries, and I walked some over to Yeye's.  That walk was .71 miles.  I stopped to see Rita.  She had David there as a visitor, some neighbor.   She called me this morning about juice, I told her she has some in the frig.  She is really losing it.

They took a nap and I laid down a little.

We spoke with Christina and Larry at 6 30 and they said that Will thought the reception should be at OUR HOUSE !!!!  Christina thought Will had asked us, I said he didn't even bother to send a text for Mother's Day.  So we will talk tomorrow night to see what is what.

Oh man, them kids will drive you crazy.

I had some left over pork Sarah made and went to bed.

MONDAY a new week - 5/10/2021

 So Mothers Day went with a fffzzzzzzzz

Had a nice night sleep, after the gummie.  Still woke up once to pee, I think.  I went to bed at 8 37 and got up at 5 54.  Had some REM and deep sleep.  We walked the dog at the beach.  I made 3/4 of mile  Then came home and laid down for a bit while KR weed whacked.  Mary Eileen called, her tooth #19 hurts.  Had RCT and I pray it is NOT a cracked tooth.  

Andrea came and cleaned the house.

KR cut wood, and got nicked in the forehead by the maul, and it bled a little.  I told him no more shot of tequila before doing wood work.  He ate lunch and took a nap.  The weather was overcast all day.

KR had left over kolbi ribs and salad for dinner.  I ate some sesame balls.

Took a gummie after shower and went to bed.

CHURCH Sunday MOTHER's DAY

 Well, I thought I had a great night sleep but the watch says no.  I went to bed about 9 and got up about 5 30.  Only went to pee once, about 1 pm and went right back to sleep.  I felt really rested when waking, but the watch says I was awake for an hour in the middle of the night.  Nope.

KR is still feeling funky.  He yelled at me for putting a head of cauliflower in the dog water.  I thought he was not coming back until 3 30 or something but he arrived at 12 30 si I did not get a chance to take it out.  I didn't say anything just said sorry.  No need to yell at your wife for something like that.

AND he posts that I am the bestest pal and Happy Mothers Day

Will any of my kids say anything?  Tyler called Friday but he just needed money.  Kurt bought me a cake, but I asked for a card.  Will, who knows if he would text or call.  

KR went surfing 

We pick up Kurt, Yeye does not wanna go.  Kurt gets an attitude and says that I should NOT have sent him the card that Abby and Isaiah made.  KR laid into him saying that my birthday and mothers day are the two days that the kids COULD and maybe SHOULD do something for me.  Blah blah blah.  That Kurt is ALWAYS Johnny come lately and never has anything ready.  CAKE is not enough for MOTHERS DAY

I am going to bed it is 8 and no sign of my card, nor a text from either William nor Tyler.  SIGH

Klub Saturday

 Well, the sleep was a bit better but as I wore BOTH watches on my left arm, they are still saying different things.  HMMMM

I woke up at 5 and could not go back to sleep but the watch says I did.  Which is better?  Fitbit or Garmin?  Who knows.

KR went surfing early and then went to Klub.  I did TWO loads of laundry, changed the sheets, washed the pillows, all except the yellow ones  My hip is hurting me more today.  Oh man.  I iced most of the day.

Kurt came by and went to FM but only got one head of cauliflower.  He then went golfing at Sea Aire with Bobby, Taylor, and Jun.  He tied with Bobby.  HAHAH  He has never golfed really.  Then they went to Maui Chicken.

I was at dad's by 2 but he didn't get up until almost 2 30.  I adjusted his PLD and he says he is not going to wear it, just use as a spare.  We also did a FaceTime call to Warren, as I had the hearing aids and made dad wear one, he could talk so much better.  BUT he didn't want it on after.

I also brought the broken ostrich egg that he had done the bas relief that Mini Moo broke.  He gave me the other one he did, white with the ostrich on the egg.  I am so glad.  I like it very much.

I came home.  KR took a nap after Klub and then went to watch Matthew's baseball game.

We went to Sushi Boy for dinner.  It was my idea, not wanting to cook and all.  

I took half a gummie Royale gave me and went to bed

PT and Massage Friday

 SO the watches say different things. 

Garmin says 8 hours with 2 hours and 19 deep NO REM, and Fitbit says 7 42 sleep with 1 hour 11 min deep and 2 hour 11 REM.  HMMMM  so different

I went to PT, met with Jason and filled out paperwork.  I am impressed with Jason.  He did some psoas muscle release and it really helps.  He pressed down by the side of my stomach where the muscle is deep inside and my hip pai in the butt is actually better.  I did some squats and some bicycling with my hands and some interesting stretches.  Oh so looking forward to the next one.

I got home, and Will Weston came to drop off some gummies.  I am going to try.  He said to take the whole one, when I got o sleep.

Nazareth came at 11 and KR and I had some fabulous massages, then it was nap time.  

Kurt is still at Yeye's and he came over for a bit just to say hi or something.

I took half a gummy and went to bed at 8.  I was pretty tired.

WORKING 2 weeks and 2 days after hip surgery

 So I went to work

Got there by 6 45 and finished at 1 15

Meet Dr Natalie.  Very competent nice woman

The schedule was not bad and with Natalie there it was doable  I  just slowly limped down the hallway.  The last patient was at noon and Dr Natalie did it and it still took me until 1 15 to finish the charts and drive home.

I was very very tired but could not fall asleep.  I think my body just wanted to get off my feet and lay down so I did,  KR was asleep for about two hours.  Gracie had her check up with Dr White.  Denise Paulson came for a visit and Gracie was not feeling well and went back inside to lay down,  Gaia was sad, and stayed out in the garage with us.  KR and Denise had a shot of tequila to toast to Mark.  Mark always like Cinco de Mayo, which was yesterday and De was sad that they did not go and celebrate.

She is working on a death certificate.  So much paperwork with that.

KR got the free chicken from Von's and I had some when I got home.  He also made a very good salad and i had half of it.

I just had a couple of bites of chicken and was in bed by 8. 

I wore both the Garmin and Fitbit to sleep.  Want to see how much it said i slept.

Office Meeting Wednesday and POST OP

 So we got up early.  I think it was a good night sleep   KR went to Home Depot and bought some peppers to plant, and some WD 40.  He has to return two peppers, not hot enough.

I had office meeting from 9 - 11.  I laid down part of the time.  It was interesting but Monica could not be seen.  

KR had a call from Anel, the Doctor that was suppose to work called in SICK, can't believe that.  There was a patient that had an emergency.

I dont need my walker nor cane anymore.

We walked Gracie at the beach and I did .4 mile.  Not too fast, just ok.

After lunch we both took a nap.  Denise was suppose to come over but she had her shot yesterday and she was feeling a bit peekish, so she rescheduled until tomorrow.

We went to my post op.  Appt at 3 45 and got out of there at 4 45.  No PT available until JUNE 1, what is up with that?

Came home and took a shower.  My back is still spasming, and the deep butt pain, Dr Shrader thinks is from my back.  He wanted to give me some steroids, I said no thanks.

Lovely weather today.

Easy Tuesday

 So We DID IT

And not too bad

We went for a walk with Gracie at the beach.  I walked .43 miles down at the beach.

Got a little better sleep last night.  Watch says 7 and half hour.  KR went surfing and Kurt went to work.  I ordered more Biofreeze online via Walmart.  And then tried to order compression sleeves for the arms for Alan, but somehow cannot use the BlueCross card of dad's, except of ONE item, which is kind of ugly.

KR came home, surf not too good.  But he did get some swarms.  Naby dropped off some African stew and it was delicious, chicken with vegetables and this corn meal like stuff, kind of like a wet muffin, or a steamed corn bread with peppers.  It was great.

Sarah flew home today and we picked some mulberries and I DROVE OVER THERE.  First time to drive in TWO weeks.

KR went and picked up the bees, one from Mike Gooch and one from Industrial Park and delivered to John Crookston.

I peeled my bandage off.  Not too bad looking.  A total of 4 1/4 " long scar.

Took a shower and went to bed

 Monday and they both had to work.  KR at Bill's and Kurt at the Lawndale clinic.  I made KR's lunch and puttered around.  I cooked the bok choy, and then Dena came by and dropped off a lot of food.  Six tubs of yogurt, three five pound bags of potatoes, four blocks of cheese, and a whole bag of apples.  Then Naby dropped off two gallons of milk and some spaghetti.

So much stuff.

I was pretty tired doing the cooking.  Oh, I also cooked kolbi ribs that Violet went to buy.  She went to the 99 Ranch with dad. 

She said dad was ok today, after last night's fit.

Kurt came home around 1 15, saying the computers were down and they could not work, so everyone went home.

I didn't really eat dinner.  Ate too much during the day.  MUST stop snacking all day.  Took a shower, ALL BY MYSELF, and went to bed.

No Church Yet Sunday

 I didn't sleep well again.  And had to get ice in the middle of the night.  My left butt cheek is really still bothering me.  My piriformis is paining me but Dr Shrader said that it is my hip, but now the hip does not really hurt, I will ask him next week.

Kurt got home about 5 am from Taylors' and went to bed

KR went surfing and then church with Kurt.  He was a bit hung over.  Gotta work tomorerow, so I should hope an early night.  Kurt slept like six hours in the afternoon, and then was up when we went to bed.  He did mop and put dishes away though.

I just puttered around.  Did walk around outside with cane.

Feels like the hip is getting better.  BUT still cannot sleep too well

Didn't sleep well

 I didn't sleep well last night. 

Went to bed or fell asleep at 9 pm, woke up at 10 21 to pee.  Ten fell asleep at 11 30, woke up at 3 and could not go back to sleep until 4, and finally woke up at 6 am.  That is only about 6 hours and 10 minutes of sleep.  NO REM SLEEP AT ALL

I am going to be tired today.

I did laundry/sheets, swept the driveway.  KR went surfing.  Small but fun and had to be careful.  Then he picked up Matthew and Bubba and went to the beach.  Said that Matthew was just a blob and KR got tired of dragging him out to the surf.  Kurt also went down to the beach with Corrina and friends and played a little Jugger.

He then napped and then went to Taylor's for a little Saturday night fun.

Eliot and Diane came by about 4.  She made bread pudding and we had a great old time, chatting and eating chips and hummus and crackers and cheese and salami.  They took home rest of the salami and hummus and a peach tree plant.  

I took a shower and went to bed.
