Friday 3/31/2023

 So I just didn't wanna get up this  morning.  We  went  down to the  beach  and Angel didn't wanna walk so we came home.  It still  sprinkled a  little today.  But mostly sunny

KR went surfing and I  puttered around.   Kurt  still  on spring  break and  he went to   the  gym at mom's to work out  and  said they were fixing the pump at the pool 

KR had BLT for lunch

He took a nap when  I went to see Scott, John Riley's friend

We went to the Boundary road to walk Angel

Then it was PAPA JON PIZZA.   Before that we went to the  jacuzzi.   SO  GOOD

Still pretty dizzy.  Same   meds

What a quick day of WORK

 It is  Thursday but  we only worked from 6 45  to  9 30 I was done

I  stopped a t El Super and  bought a whole bunch of stuff.  KR  wanted avocados and I got  other  stuff.    Mom got more EBT money.   I  never know how much we are getting  each   month.

KR was  home and had a beer after walking  Angel

I  biked  7.5 miles  and  went walking with  KR  at Fire Trail but  the watch  ran out  of  battery so  it did not r ecord.   We started at  the  top.  There  was the DIO Implant system golf tourney  at PV country  club

I  got KR tamales and   Kurt  corn dogs at El Super.  I   made bone  broth and we were in b ed by 8  30

Wearing Two Watches

 Well, the  Versa 3 and the Charge  5 are  not the same.  Maybe because  I have the Charge 5 on the right wrist, it is recording  more steps.  I  shall  wear the Charge 5 for awhile and  see if I like it better

The rain did start last night and rained off and on.   KR went  outa bout 9 30 too copy  his  passport and take Angel out.  There is a break until 10 pm and  then  rain  again until  4 am

I  sent an  email  to TECOLA about my  passport.  I  downloaded the  Donor  Body program  for UCLA and will fill and  send.  Take my organs  FIRST if  possible

Kurt   is suppose to be doing taxes.  

Tuesday Farmers Market

KR  went to Bible Study and  I had to get  up to  let the chickens out so  I w as up  by  6 30  I did want to sleep more but no  go

 KR  and I took Angel down to the beach and she wanted to go north,  then she didn't want to go so we went only about a mile.  I tried too install the app  Firbit on the other phone but needed the code from Alan

I finally  installed it and it  shows that  I am  walking with  more of my right  hand  watch  than left so  the right  hand  watch shows more  steps  than the left.   I  am  going to try   the other  way  tomorrow

We got  LOTs of purple kale and  some broccoli and  dill  and more swiss chard.  I gave  almost all of it  away

They were all picked up

I am still very dizzy, although  better than last week when I didn't want to do ANYTHING

I got a bunch of toys for Mimi from the alley.  

I also  rode  about 3.5 miles

We had sushi from Sushiboy on Hawthorne  I used the remaining of my last gift card

Nice and Easy Monday

 So maybe it is this vertigo that makes me not able to type   I had a lot of sleep   Almost  9  hours but the sleep score is still 81.  I was  asleep at 9 and woke up at 7 15 which is 10 hours and 15 min in bed but only 9 hours  of sleep

KR had zoom with  the  Monday morning group and then we waited until Andrea got here and went to the beach to walk Angel.  KR went back to surfing and I  cleaned the garage,  sorted  food, gave away some earthquake  food

KR came home and I sat out side for about an hour.  It was 72  today  Very nice

Megha called me  YVONNE GAVE  NOTICE  !!!!!   WHAT????  She  got a job doing medical coding or something at UCLA, maybe their satellite office or something.  Must make more money and more bennies and she is so smart.  I sent out a bunch of texts looking for  dental assistants.    Oh   man  I  need  to  quit

Kurt  and KR went to the Fire Road to walk Angel  WHOOOOPPPIIIIEEEEEEE   Kurt is on spring break so we guilted him into walking  the  dog  with  pops

I  was  in  bed by 8 30

Church at home Sunday

KR CAUGHT THE POSSUM and drove it to  the   marsh this morning.  It was a big one

 So KR cooked  omelette  and went to church  early as he had host.   Kurt  did a  "lai pee" and didn't  want to go, had  a hang over.  So we both  stayed  here and  watched church.  I drove over  for communion.  KR came home and blocked the entry   for the possum.  Hopefully there is not  another one

Then I went for a ride, to 99 cent store to see if I can get salsa and green chiles cheaper.  NO GO  I did buy some coconut juice.  KR went back to church for Why Baptism, while I stayed home,  Kurt went up to Corrina's and I went to bed by 8 30 

AHHHHHH resting Saturday

 I am so glad that I don't have to  work until next Thursday.

I didn't get 'woken' up until 8.  I cant believe i slept that long.  So if I was wearing the watch would have been prolly over 10 hours of sleep

KR tried to go surfing, no go and he picked up food from Sarah

I did laundry and changed the sheets.

Kurt went too work and we brought him some yummy fettuccine that Sarah had for lunch.  He went to LA for some party.  With Corrina and other friends.  He lost his keys to the truck and called me but I was out riding so he ran home.  Corrina brought his car back while he took a shower.  I rode over to return Jon's tupperware and was not around.  

We then went to walk the boundary road.  It was very nice except Angel disappeared and won't come back, of course was after a S THING

The whole walk was 3.08 miles

We then had more of  Sarah's left over and w ent to  bed

Another exhausting day of work FRIDAY 3/24/2023

 It is  really not that long day of work but  I  am just exhausted

KR tried to go surfing but no  go so he  walks Angel

I get to work by  11 15 and the first  thing is  cementing this long  span 8  unit zirconia  bridge that came off of one of their patients.  There  was some decay around #4 and endo is  needed on 6 as the preps on 6 and 11 were like to a point.

Then it was Monika, then Faye then Forrest and then Robert Pagan.  THAT IS IT and I was so so tired.

Got home and just rested.  We went to the jacuzzi.  Very helpful.  

KR wore my watch to sleep and his sleep score was 89 !!!!  WOWWWOWO  He slept for 8  hours and 46 min !!

We were in bed by 8 pm, I was so exhausted.

I was also dizzy, but since on Amitriptyline seems not as bad as last week when I was off that.  Still on .5 about, klonipin.  Looking for remission.  Praying to God  Read the Bible pretty good today

Buffy still spending the  nights in, and during the day out with the gang.  Swear she cannot see

Thursday must mean WORK

 Since I went to bed early I  was up early for work and the day went by pretty good.  Megan  the  intern was  on vacation so  it was just me.  Corrina came in for her filling we did 19 MOD and will do  the other side next week  or  two

I left about 12 30 and got home and KR had two beers (he told me  later)  and was asleep at 1 until about 3.  He didn't smell too bad and was not 'gofey'

I went for a bike ride and rode 6.2 miles  around the neighboorhood.  Then we went for a walk  on the fire road  I was going to visit Adele as she is back but she was napping and then went to Bingo

I stopped at Ralphs and bought a bunch of turkey.  We cooked some for Angel and some for us

I also made all the smoothies

We were in  bed by 8 30

I gotta work tomorrow  DARN

Dizziness same, neck  sore, taking same meds .3 and  10

FINALLY no more rain 3/22/2023

 I think it is a little better today  after I started the Amitriptyline at  about 5  am.   I also slept  in until  about 9 am, believe it or  not.  We went to bed before  10  and  I slept a lot but  had  to wake up for pee  several times.

I also gotta figure out if this keyboard issue is my typing  due to  the dizziness or just dirty keyboard.

KR  took Angel  out this morning and I stayed  home.  I actually cleaned out a little of the linen closet and will  get some stuff over to mom's.  When I felt dizzy today I tried too go out for a walk or do some exercise, the stuff I found on internet.

I don't think I wanna  work  any more, because of my  dizziness

Tuesday and MORE RAIN

 So KR went to Bible  Study  and I  was sleeping up a  storm  The rib /ligament did wake me with some pain last night, plus I had  so pee so many times

The  computer  is  driving me nuts with  the spacing  doubling all t he   time.  I suppose I  should  figure out how to clean the keyboard

I was pretty dizzy all day.  Finally text Dr Lee and  asked him to  call in  script of  amitriptyline and I picked it  up right before the afternoon dump  of rain.  There was rain in the morning and then some sun and then again  No more tomorrow I hope

It is  suppose to rain until 3 and then no more for the foreseeable future.

KR got jack in the box

I cooked the celery and beef like Nai  Nai used too.  

James went  to Dallas with  Emma today.   I don't know what kind of business but he does not seem to be making enough money.

I hope he did taxes

I did hear back from Alan, they are going to encourage Lovely to go to Brazil via LAX in June.  Hope she comes and sees me

Bible  Study was great. Just George, Anita,  Polly Mike  KR   and me.  Karen has the flu and Pam has a sore knee and don't know why Karl and Geralyn didn't come

Monday

 I am  still  dizzy although  not  as bad as yesterday.  I think I need to keep  moving.  The  pain  from the ligament woke  me  couple of  times last  night  but it is improving.

We  went  down to  the beach to  walk  Angel  and she had a little run in the sand.  KR had Zoom wiitht he Monday morning boys and  I didn' get up  until almost 7:30 having gone to bed late last  night, at  9 30

Polly dropped off some xerox copy  of a bookf or me  to read.  She is so sweet

Kurt went to  school  and we stopped at Smart and Final  and bought chicken pot pies  and  I made some.   It was  a cold day  so good  to eat  pot  pies.   I also baked  some chickent highs  and some taquitos

While KR went to walk Angel at the golf course, I rode around for  9.3 miles

My back ligament started to hurt  too so I got some patches  on there

Kurt went to see Robert Babb  this afternoon.  

I  went tob ed by 9

Sunday

 Oh I didn't feel  too well

My  rib really hurt and it was hard to cough and sniff.  And the vertigo was bad bad, just  feel off, not  necessarily wobbling all over the place, so I just laid down like from 8 - 12.

Went to the store to get some food, milk and cheese  and soda and chips.  KR weed whacked, and it rained lightly.

Saturday and John's Memorial Lunch

 So my rib/ligament  hurts.   I lay  a round  not doing  much  and KR  walk  the   dog.  I did  do laundry  and change  the  sheets  We go to  the FM and get LOTS of  celery  and some beets and radish.  I drop some off for Sarah

The  memorial at Walt's in Seal Beach was at 1 and we were late trying t o find  a parking  in  the  shade for Angel.  The day started nice and sunny, 70   degreegs a nd got cooler.

We had  oysters and some  o'deurouves  that w e  missed.  We  did get  two   oysters  each  and ordered  lunch.  KR had almond  crusted salmon and I  had scallops.  Just THREE  of them.  KR had  a  little  bite  to eat before FM  and thought   he  could not  eat, well, he  ate the  whole  thing  and drank 4  glasses o f  wine.  His  BAC was .06 when he got home.  I drove home so  it w as  not  problem

I was so so dizzy from the loud and reverberating noise of the restaurant.  I just laid down and didn't do much the rest of  the day

EXCEPT to  go for a 2 mile  run when  KR  was napping at 4 pm.

Kurt was working 9 - 4 and we brought him lunch

FRIDAY and it is Teledoc and Urgent care HAHA

 So we go to the fire road and walk Angel.  Jerome comes over first to get a board bag and I Venmo him the flight money, hence we didn't get going until  after 9

Kurt went to  mom's gym as his  class was canceled so he didn't go to school

So  Kurt says hey lets fight so we get out the jugger sticks and we fight

Well, we FOUGHT

He hits me in the chest just about 2" below the right clavicle and immediately something feels wrong.  I cann't take a deep breath and  there is a clicking sound when I breathe.  I call BlueShiield Teledoc and speaks maybe 5 seconds with the doc who says I should go to Urgent Care.  I call LCM one on Crenshaw and get in.  

I fill out paperwork and then go next door to Sports Medicine and sees this guy who I like very much.  He takes or the tech takes three x rays.  I do not have a cracked rib but maybe a cracked or torn ligament and there is NOTHING that can be done other than topical patch, antiinflammation meds and rest.  DANG THAT BOY

I  come home and went on 7 mile bike ride.  He says I can do that just don't laugh hard

KR went to KHC for Track kids party

Megha called me and she went to help Care Harbor.  It is going to be a Western U event this year

We have the memorial tomorrow

I am taking Aleve for pain

WOW No work Thursday

 So  I called the office yesterday and saying that MOST likely I will be there i n the morning as I am sick

Maribel said don't bother.  She asked Dr Desai to cover for me.  Melissa text me and said it was pretty slow so I didn't feel bad

I started z pak and predisone yesterday and this morning felt great.  Then the cough came back so I rested most morning.  KR took Angel for a walk.  I didn't

Still pretty dizzy today a bit worse than yesterday.  

Buffy the sweet little chicken is still with us.  I took her outside for a bit.  She seems to be blind or something.  Maybe had another stroke.  I wonder if chickens can get a stroke.  I put her feet in some water and she started drinking it so I held up some water to her and she drank some.  She will also eat some green food like finely chopped lettuce if i hold it up to her.  I guess she is going to be just a house chicken until she passes.  I think she is about 7

In the afternoon I went to deliver John Riley's crown.  It was TOO HIGH  I think his bite was off when we took the impression.  It took me almost an hour to get it cemented.  I think Camilla was a bit pissed off that I took so long.

KR took Angel for the afternoon walk.

I took food to Kurt at work

I also read some Bible.  I think it is 30 days but I missed one day.  Almost hald done.  Psalm 73 today

Wednesday and recovering from the COLD

 So we are both sick

YUP, cough and congestion and sore throat and all that

And still dizzy

So I slept in the other room as we were both coughing.  I woke up at 1 and was COLD AND COLD.  I had the shivers.  Not that the room was cold but I just had the shivers.  I put on the bathrobe and  went back to sleep

I even had the heat on and still  cold

The same med every  morning, about .3 mg klonipin and one amitriptiline

We took many day and nightquil and KR picked up my medication, but the pharmacist charged him the wrong amount and tomorrow I will have to go back to Vons' and get it  right

I called work and Maribel said not to come in.  Dr  Desai is covering for me

I think this is the first time in almost 8 years that I am too sick to go to work, COVID not withstanding

Our Anza Borrego Trip

 So  i  forgot   Sunday, March 12, and Monday  we  left for  Anza Borrego

I didn't go to  church  Sunday as my cold was worse and coughing.  When KR  got home he ate a bit  and  we were both  suppose to give blood, we drove down to  the  Elk Club or the VFW or something next to my office on  Camino  Real  and the Kevin Carter  who  io  sponsoring the  drive asked the lady and she said  since I didn't feel well, I  should not  give  blood.  So  I  ran  around  the neighborhood and waited for KR.

The rest of  the  day  was a blur as I  just  coughed and coughed and was congested

We had some  kind of dinner I  am sure and was in  bed early

Monday morning we packed and when Andrea and Maribel came to clean we left for Anza Borrego with the pup.  Kurt  went to school and Buffy is still alive

We had nice weather and went up to Coyote Canyon.  The really gnarly rock drive has been CHANGED  to a  much  smoother drive.   Somehow the  rocks were picked  up and piled on the  side  so  now it is  a  much  easier drive.    We got  some Mexican  and a sandwich  at the market  and went and checked i nto  ROOM  E153.   I  asked for B116 but somehow that  was not available.  I think they didn't want to rent that  wing.

We had  dinner and then a soak in  the  jacuzzi.  It  was very nice   and hot

ANGEL tore down the  drapes wanting to get out and see where we were at.  I was ablt to put it back  on the rack

We watched a bunch of  old western shows and I  read some  bible and went to bed

We were so congested and got up all night to spit and blow  our nose

TUESDAY

we were  up early and drove about half hour  to THE SLOT

Angel loved running around and we were the  first  car there  and hiked the almost 2 miles.  We got some coffee at the cafe as the coffee at the hotel was WEAK  We then  drove to Julian and had a BBQ sandwich  and pie and drove home.

I AM TIRED OF THIS RAIN

Everything is soggy and wet and my dizziness  is  still bad

Saturday

 Still lightly raining.

Buffy is still with us.  Eating  very little and  just  sitting there

I tried to force feed her a bit  today.  She ate a little on her own  today too

KR and I went to the  golf course in the light rain  and  there were a few golfer.  We waited for them and Angel got to run  and  get her yaya's out

I did laundry and Kurt went to work and it still rained  lightly 

I  rode around and delivered some of the FM romaine.  KR cooked beets we got lots of beets

Friday SBCHC 75th Gala

 AND IT RAINED ALL DAY

I was up about 6 30 and had a very long sleep.  It rained and rained.  KR took Angel out to the golf course and I didn't wanna go in the rain.  I did laundry, mostly Kurt's stuff as he  said he ran out of socks

I also cleaned the pencil boxes and  my misc stuff on my desk and bagged up a lot of pens and got rid of  stuff,.  THERE IS TOO  MUCH  STUFF

I  even took a short nap in the afternoon.

Went to Dollar and a quarter Tree for mascara.  YUP  me buying  one after years and  years  of  not using  one and poking my eye out  trying to apply

We got dressed.  KR put on a suit and tie and me the black velvet dress and mom's fox coat and we got there about 6.  It was raining lightly and KR dropped me off at the Marriott  entrance and  parked.   Tracy and Maribel were checking people in and we had paddle 217, for the live auction.    We bid on quite a few  things and only won the golf in  Palm Springs.  KR is going to go with Jon and we will go to the  hotel later on our own

Then the   MC and speaker and salad and steak and I had  some of Maribel's fish and then the  live auction.   I bid on t he Hawaiian vacation and it went up to 5500 bucks for a week in  kauai.   We danced  a little and came home.

I  had a terrible night sleep.  Coughing all  night

THURSDAY and it is a work day

 I was a little late to work as Buffy is NOT well.  She did not want to get out of the hutch and I brought her inside.  I don't think she is going to make it

She was in the yellow recycling bin all day and would not drink nor eat.  I gave her five meal worms and made her drink some pedialite.  Don't think it would work

Work was kind of slow and I was done by noon

The office gave me nice flowers and gifts and cake and a VERY LARGE PIECE of chiccharones from El Super  I gave it away after I came home.  I cannot possibly eat a large sheet of that pork rind.

I then met John Riley for the THIRD time to cement his temp.  I don't know why it keeps coming off but I lost sleep last night over it

Came home and tried to get Angel to go running  with me but she  didn't want to so I   went myself

KR came and did RCT on Francine this morning  at the office.

He had Valor meeting and then Chris Bruno

We were in bed by 8 30

International Womens' Day and my 64th Birthday

 It was a great day

I woke from some kind of dream now I cannot remember

We went down to the beach to walk the dog down on the sand and I ran a bit

KR did some yard work and  I puttered around did laundry, then I went out for a bike ride and got hit by another cyclist.

I was coming out of the alley pretty slow and these two high school girls came barreling down and the first one missed me and the second one hit me pretty hard, thank goodness on the front tire.  My shoulder is a bit sore on the right but my wrists are ok.   I rode home and rested

Sumi baked me a chocolate cake.  We went out to dinner with The Francis and Gooch's

Tueday

 So it is Bible Study night

I had some kind of weird dream last night and I was really trying to remember it but alas it is gone

We went to the boundary road after KR came back from Bible Study.

I ran most of the way and it was a nice day

I did laundry and KR went to Bill's to drop off some wheelchairs and some plants.  We got the wheel chairs from Steven, when we dropped off some clothes

He took a nap,  Kurt went to work.  He does  not want to work at the tutoring place for 20 dollars an  hour.  We don't think he should either.

We had Bible Study.  I did a lot of the Reel exercises, still VERY dizzy especially doing  the exercises

WORKING Monday

 I had scheduled a working day Monday since Grace Mckenna has vacation and would like to be seen to finish her work.  I saw her, then Debbie, then John Riley, then Sean Ferris.  

Rebekah bought me flowers and chocolate!!!!

Camila bought me cake and a frame that says HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I was home by 2 and KR was on the phone trying to get travel insurance

Then they went walking to the beach and I went for a ride

Then I called Singapore Airlines trying to upgrade to business for KR   Turns out  there  are NO  seats  available in  Business  and it takes 73500  to up grade.  So I will try  to call each week and see  if there is one opening up

We went to CocoSushi for dinner.  The kid that KR helped, the  dad wanted to treat us  to a meal.  I  had the sashimi bowl with spicy  tuna and KR  had salmon.   VERY GOOD and FREE  food

KR bought travel insurance

Sunday church day 3/5/2023

 We went down to the beach to walk Angel.

Kurt left for Echo Mountain with Corrina and Anaya and some other friends.  AT 7 AM  Of course he  was still getting ready when they came.  He thought they were going to drive my car but  Corrina drove her car.

Then it was church.  My neck was really bothering me so I went out after the sermon

Mimi and Jay were here and we first tried to go to Black Bear Diner, it was too crowded.  Then we tried Chicken Maison and they were closed.  Then we tried Honey Dress chicken, they didn't have dine in so we went to TNT Hawaiian food.  It was great

They picked up all the baby stuff I was saving for them and  went home.  Will and Diamond  came by about  3 to pick up all their stuff in the garage.  They rented a truck and took EVERYTHING  !!!  The garage looks so clean.   Now I can park another car in there.

KR took Angel to the  fire road and  she  had  a  bunch of  cactus needles in  her  fur and KR gave her a bath.  He  ate  some left over

Kurt came home and Corrina tweaked her knee  and borrowed  two  knee  braces and  he  took  a  long shower and went to  bed

WHAT HAPPENED to Saturday?

 We first walked Angel at the beach

I cooked the white large pumpkin and lentil soup.  Then I made chicken soup with  the  vegetables from the  FM.

There was a lot of kale and some carrots and a turnip

KR took  a   nap and i  went for a ride.  Saw a very  nice chair and by the  time  I  circled  around,  it  was gone

He went to the  baby  shower  of  Jeff Petty's  son?  and had  a  nice dinner

We went  to  South  Bay Community Church  since Kurt  said he cannot  go to church tomorrow because o f  the  hike

Friday

 KR and I took Angel to the beach after I put a load of laundry in,

He went surfing and I hung up the laundry.  It was cold and sunny.  After he came back and ate I went for  a 7.3 mile ride and got a heater and a hola hoop  thing.

Kurt had school this  morning and he went to the  gym for a work out

He then slept the whole afternoon away

There is a new kitty that looks like Mooch, we are calling it Moochie II and it  ate two bowls of food.

SLOW working day Thursday 3/3/2023

 I had to go to the lab to get Pappa's case, crown  #24.  I still got to work on time

We had a slow day.   Several people NO showed, including Diamond.  I don't know why they think they  can no call and no show,   I finally  text  her and told her to call when she is ready.  Corrina also rescheduled to March 16, maybe that is when she has vacation

I was  home by 1 and rested a little.  KR took a  nap and we went up to the fire  road.  I ran all the way up and down and up again.  With the gravitational pull it was really easy to run up. There is silver lining  after all

I was in  bed by 8:15 and slept all the  way  to  6 45 Friday

Wednesday Office meeting

 If it is the first Wednesday of the month then it is office meeting

We started right on time and covered a lot of stuff.  We even had half hour to talk about cases that we had issues with and I am hoping Megha would be more 'on the ball' about answering my queries.

I got home and KR was reading.  Kurt was at school.  KR had taken Angel for a walk earlier.  He took a nap after lunch and I went for a ride.  It was the MOST WINDY ride I think I have ever done.  It felt I was standing still and peddling into the wind.  I did 5.5 miles

The  dizziness is still  around and no change.  I am still taking about .3 klonipin and amitriptyline daily

I did some of those  Reel exercises on FB.  HAHAHA  Very funny some of them but I think they are good to do to keep limber

We then went to the jacuzzi.  It felt so so  good.  I didn't want to go as it  was so cold outside.  The wind quit  agout 7 30 and it felt warmer.  

I sleep an average  of 8.5 hours a day.  Not counting how much I am in bed.  Just the amount of  sleep.
