Friday

So since we forgot to tell Gail that we were staying, we lost our room and had to move to Playa Grande Inn next door, where it is 68 bucks including breakfast.  KR got up early, again, and I barely slept in til 7 30.  I had a much better night sleep, i think the weather is great for my sinus, no more hacking, blowing, and sneezing.  He ordered an egg sandwich and had breakfast before his surf session.  I ran towards the north part of town, cross the first set of rocks, and crossed the second set of rocks, but I did not go to the cove, then I ran towards the river mouth, towards Tamarindo.  I was so tired, but just between station 20 and 21, I saw two turtle tracks, looks like they came in and laid eggs last night.

By the time I got back, my back was killing me, and I had to go up and take some aleve or something.  KR came in for a bit and went back out  I slept a little on the beach, listened to my book on tape on my phone and then came in and moved.  We had room 7 at the El Marejada, and room 3 at the PGI.  The room is smaller there, and there is no dinner, and out of 8 rooms, I think only three are rented.  The guy that works there, Javiar, and his gf, and baby occupies one of the rooms too.

After lunch of salami and cheese and watermelon, and crackers, we decided to check out the bikini place up the street.  I also fed the dog, Cali, a bunch of salami.  The store was full of bikinis but closed, so we drove to the river mouth and finally found a place to cross.  KR swam across and I could have too, had I known, I took the little boat.  We walked around Tamarindo, had a smoothie and the waded back.  The water was only up to our thighs, and could have saved the first dollar.  We saw a bunch of live sand dollars, and finally drove home.

I was pretty tired, and we watched the sunset again, on the beach and headed to (what is the name of the restaurant?) for Italian dinner.  It was great.  I fed the poodle there some of our food.  We had tenderloin, and linguini with vodka and bacon, then ice cream.  All was very tasty.  Tomorrow we are trying Mamasa, they only serve dinner Wednesday and Saturday, and all other days, breakfast.

Today is mom's 84 birthday.  After dinner, we called her and wish her a happy b day.  Alan was there fixing the water heater hose.  He said he also fixed the bedroom light, as it just quit working.  I tried calling but he is no where to be found.  Our wifi is no good so I had to come back to the El Marajeda to log in and type and call.  Will try again before I head to bed.

Finally got a hold of Alan.  He was in the shower.  Told him Ed had called but he did not hear the answer machine, nor did he try to play back the answer machine, as I had asked him, just in case that I could not get a hold of him and left a msg.  For some reason I cannot send any text to KR's phone, just Kurt's.  He said something about mom confusing what Auntie Mary had told him so he had to change the caregiver schedule, Julie from 2 30 to 3 30.  Told him that the company Julie works for does not like that, guess I had not thought of that contingency.  The hotel is pretty empty, with only three rooms rented, I think.  Javiar and Fria were here, while the owners took some trip somewhere.
