NYC

So Will and I are here at NYC, staying at the Ramada on 30th and Lexington.  Lexington parallels Park, and is between 3rd and 5th, which is actually, here up in midtown it is 2nd, 3rd, then Lexington, Park, Madison then 5th.  Sometimes confusing.  There are so many people, we have 912 room, very small, not facing the front.  We flew in on Virgin America and took the taxi here.  It was 52 plus 5 tip, as we were tired and did not want to hassle the subway, like last time !!!!!

After unpacking, we were starving.  THey did not serve any food, and Will bought a sandwich, but me, being so thrifty, did not.  We ate at the food court in Koreatown, where Kurt and I ate before.  Then it was Empire State Building.  We rode all the way up, was rather windy.  Supposedly rained and lightning this morning, but the streets were dry.

Afterward, we went on a walk about to TIME SQUARE.  What a mad house, there were so may people.  After a stroll, we went home and went to bed.

This morning, Thursday, we woke up really early.  Will said he never slept as I was snoring????  We had continental breakfast, and then to the bus station for the hop on and off bus.  It was windy and Will was very cold, so he went downstairs on the bus.  We got to the ferry for Statue of Liberty and rode the boat, and Will was not happy with the boat ride.  He was really tired, and then bought a sandwich at the shop, and promptly lost his card (which he found out after dinner).  We walked around the "lady" and took the ferry to Ellis Island and walked around then rode the ferry back to Battery Park.

Will was not too interested in riding on the double decker so he went back to the hotel.  I rode all the way to Central Park and was going to take the next DD to Harlem, then I thought, AHA, why not get a Citibike????  I found out how it worked.  Just rent a bike and ride.  Which I did.  10 bucks for 24 hours as long as you 'dock' the bike every 30 minutes.  It was great fun.  I rode all around, and tried to get Will to ride, no go.  Tried to find the restaurant that Thomas McKenna suggested but could not, so instead Will and I went to ABC Kitchen.  It was a great meal.

Then Will went out for a massage, and realized that he lost his Chase card.  He is going to the bank to get another tomorrow morning, so I lent him 100 bucks.  He said he got about 2000 more than he thought he would, mid month pay.  He gets paid twice a month.  So far, he has not offered to pay for anything, nor he asked if I wanted anything when he paid.  Oh, well, guess he is still not at the paying stage.

Tomorrow he is not interested in doing much, sigh.  Oh well, again.  I am going on the DD bus and all the way to Harlem.  We have theatre tickets tomorrow night.
