Tuesday DAD GOES TO HEAVEN

 I went to sleep at 9 12 and was woken up at 12 36 by Kurt.  DAD PASSED.

Kurt said he looked over and Yeye was foaming a little at the mouth and he called right away.  I got dressed and went over there.  Dad lost the color a little but was still warm.  I call UCLA and they say I need to call hospice first as hospice has to PRONOUNCE him gone.  Cesar was woken up and he drove out here.  No traffic.

He comes in and pronounce dad and calls UCLA and they arrange for the mortuary to come.  All this happens in a blur and I go home at 4 am  Kurt was asleep at yeye's and I do not wake him when I leave

I try to sleep and sleeps a little until 5 46 and gets up

My head hurts and I am tired.

KR goes surfing and I go over there to finish the house cleaning.  I had started a load of laundry last night and I hang them outside.  I vinegar the faucets of lime.  

I bike in the alley for about 2 miles.  

I also went to the bank and got 400 dollars out of each mom and yeye account

I went to the pool and tried to sleep.  It was hot and I did not sleep much.  I went back to the condo and Robert Montgomery company came to pick up the Hoyer Lift and the bed.  I put the rest of the house together.  

KR and I go and walk Angel to the park

We leave for Blue Water Grill and eat a LOT of food  Oysters, snapper, Captain's platter and all kinds

KR got a lot of broccoli today and I gave some away.

I was in bed by 8 15.  Utterly exhausted. 

Monday and I am exhausted

 So I was up several times at night trying to figure out if dad was still with us.  I don't think I can make it another night so I asked Kurt to come.  KR goes surfing and I walk Angel to the condo and back.  I do all kinds of cleaning and sorting and dad just lays there and sometimes grunts and sometimes snorts.  He does a LOT of Cheyne Stokes breathing, in which he would have a long period of no inhalation, nor exhalation, not quite like holding his breath, just doing nothing, in which you think he won't take another breath, he inhales again.  I give him a little morphine, about 1 cc thinking that would ease things.  NO CHANGE

They have left over and sandwich.

James comes over and I go for a run first at 12 10,m almost 3 miles,  2.85 at 13 minute mile.  VERY SLOW.  My right knee hurts.

I then go on my bike and ride to pick up this charger thing from Kiera over on Zakon.  I walk back to dad's and James goes home.

I keep coming back and forth to dad and saying that he can let go and go to see Jesus.  He pees in the diaper and KR gets him changed.

I ask Kurt to come and he comes about 8 15 and I go home and goes to sleep at 9 12

Memorial Day 2022 May 30

 Be careful what you wish for.

I was saying I wish Dad would last until Wednesday, so his social security money would come in.  Well, he is still with us.

I went to Numero Uno to buy oxtail but the machines were down so cannot use EBT so I just got some corn and a dragon fruit and went to Ralphs for the oxtail.  I put them in the crock pot with stew tomatoes and it turned out fabulous.

I didn't sleep very well, from 10 30 to 6b 12 but lots of waking and only one hour of deep sleep.  The master bedroom bed is very nice.  I kept checking on dad and he just holds his breath with his slow inhalation.  At least he did not moan hardly at all

KR went surfing and I started on the towels and blankets and sheets.  I pulled out a lot of stuff and packed them for the shelters.  I also started vinegaring the faucets, which were full of lime deposits.  I cleaned the frig some and KR came after surfing to help me change dad.  He had peed in his diaper again.  Overall he is unresponsive and gurgling a bit.  Minimal moaning.

I ate a piece of chicken and some noodles for lunch.

KR and James went to the Fire Road 2.0 and were very tired.  They picked me up and we had oxtail for dinner.  

I came back and went to the jacuzzi.  AND THE SAUNA   Wow, I feel so much better.  Kurt came at 8.  I told him 200 bucks a day and he needs to be up by 8 and checking dad every half hour and NO NAP

I have a list of things to do for tomorrow, from going to the bank to meeting Cesar, to calling Brandon Bernstein...  the list goes on.

Sunday 5/29/2022 Dad the same

 I am just not getting enough sleep.

I went to sleep at 10 30 and woke up at 6 15.  Sleep score of 72.  Not too good.

Dad did not moan as much last night.  He is hardly moving.  James came over and I went home to go to church with Kurt.  KR had host duty.  KR and I stopped at Ralphs and used dad's EBT to buy some salmon and swordfish and sushi and other stuff.  We have to use his money up and I am still trying to decide if we will use it after it loads on June 10.  If he makes it by then.

We don't think he will.

Dad has been in Cheyne-Stokes breathing yesterday and today with longer and longer periods of holding his breath.  Up to 25 seconds I counted.  He is not moaning as much. 

This afternoon the ANTS FOUND HIM.  I went to check and a trail of ants had come out of the wall and walked up the leg of the bed and was sucking the tears that came out of his eyes.  I was so so upset.  I cleaned him up and put ant poison on the floor board.

I asked KR to come and change his diaper.  Dad peed a lot and KR was able to lift him up and I put a new diaper on.

KR also went surfing early before church.

Kurt and I sat outside during church.

It bothers me that only the Gooch has called or text me during this last two weeks when I told everyone that dad was in hospice.

Freda also came and dropped off some food and picked up diapers.  She is so sweet.

I went for a bike ride for 8.5 miles in the afternoon.  A short run at 3 30 

KR took Angel on a different path up the Fire Road.  I am trying to get him to take Kurt tomorrow.

I took a shower and went to bed.  The master bedroom

Saturday and dad is unresponsive

 So when I  got up I realized that for the first time since we came home, dad did not get up at all last night.  I tried waking him and he was not waking.  He didn't seem to have moved.  His diaper was dry.  

So the vigil starts.

He is unresponsive all morning and Barbara Winters came to see me about her teeth.  She has worn them down and will need all the upper teeth done at once to open the bite.

Dad moaned and grunted and snorted all morning.  I wonder if he is in pain.  I texted Cesar and he said to give him 15 mg of morphine.  I did and did not see any change.  KR stayed a bit while I went for a short and VERY slow run.   KR went to FM and got mostly zucchini.  

KURT COVID TEST IS STILL POSITIVE

I got dad's body accepted into the UCLA donate body program.  So after he passes they will come and pick him up.  

James said NO AFTER DEATH COMMITTEE  Just do what I think is right. 

I don't have to plan nor pay for cremation, none of that.  

We had reservation at Pacific Prime and Michael Gibbs, my patient, was there to greet us.  What a dinner.  We had oysters and lobster lollipops for starters.  Dinner was Bone In Ribeye steak for KR with wedge salad, New Zealand fish with bok choy for James, plus asparagus and I had tuna tartare.  For dessert we had chocolate ganache cake and apple beignet.  All of the food was amazing.  The only complaint is that we are fast eaters and would like to get out of the restaurants faster.  But the food was great and James was VERY HAPPY

Kurt was watching Yeye and playing computer game.  No change.  Just still continuous moaning when he exhales.  No more loud hard coughing.  No moving at all.  No moving to scratching the bottom of his feet.  

Kurt says the Glasgow coma scale is about a 4

Kurt took Angel home and I puttered around a bit.

But Carole told me he could still be positive but NOT contagious. 

KR says he will not donate to science  CREMATION or just dump into the ocean

Friday and Warren shows up

 So I could not get dad up at all. He kept moaning that it hurts it hurts.  So I called KR and James and they got here and needed them BOTH to get Dad into the wheel chair to be brought out to the dining room, and eventually we changed him and put him in the hospital bed.

I got my work stuff ready.

I had to call Violet to tell her that i have to go to work by 11.  Warren and Violet showed up at 10 20 and at the same time James and KR showed up after they had walked the Boundary Road earlier.  They talked a little and I went to work.

My first patient was Jesse.  AND WE DON"T TAKE HIS INSURANCE

Darn

He paid and we did his teeth and then it was Kirk Crawford and then Margarita and Jason Buck and then Reza Zaidi.

I asked KR to get Chinese and he ordered a bunch from Seafood Town and I left work and ate a LOT.  I was so hungry.  I didn't eat all day.

Warren and Violet left for Ontario Airport.  I went back home for some Yogoo.  James forgot to bring it over.  I came back and Dad was still just laying there, and he is moving a little but not moaning.  Maybe I just want him to say that he loves me.  Just once.

I finally quit crying and went to bed  According to my watch i was asleep  at 11 20 and got up at 5 50

It is Thursday and I must be at work

 So it was so hard to get up this morning.  I set TWO alarms as I had to get home and get the car and my work stuff.  I made it to work at 6 45 and it was first busy then ok.  I got done at 1 and was on my way home Diamond calls and said that Cesar was there and wanted to know where the Hospice Notebook was, and I told her by the key rack and to ask him to stay and wait, but he left by the time I got there.  ONLY 10 minutes later.  Man oh man

KR went over to dad's and text me saying he could not get dad to wake up and eat.  He cooked some eggs and rice and pork floss and mango but dad just said no.

So Diamond and I got him up to the bathroom, and he peed a little and I gave him his breakfast, and he ate almost everything.  

Dad's leg edema is worse.  His left leg is so much bigger than his right.  He must be in so much pain.

James came over about 3 30 and KR and I went to the Fire Road to walk Angel.It was nice to be out.  I had not gone on a walk since last Friday.  A week

Then I went for a bike ride all around,  Nothing in the alley

I sent Diamond back on Uber and paid her.  I went home and brought my box of charts to get ready for tomorrow.  I went to bed hard to fall asleep.

Dad was moaning a bit and saying Ay Yo when he fell asleep.

I heard him get up to go to the bathroom at least once.

Wednesday and KR pulls a DRUNK

 Yup you got that right, KR did  it today.

So he comes and bring me coffee and  goes to  walk Angel.  I try to get more tests and Patty Lopez has two boxes and Kurt tests again and still positive.  I pray it goes away SOON

I got Uber for Diamond and costs me 30 bucks to  bring her here from  Long Beach.  Then at 11 03 Kurt texts:  Dad may be drunk.  I'm keeping an eye on him.

WHAT

Said that KR was stumbling and giggling  THEN Kurt said he DROVE OFF.

I follow him after Kurt told him NOT to drive and he went down to Ave D and Esplanade.  I park behind him and asks him what he was doing and he said "meeting Phil T for lunch"  Here?  He said  YUP Ave E and PCH.  Well he was at Ave E and Esplanade.  He could not even tell where he was.  So I said he was not driving and he said YOU CAN DRIVE THEN

I take him to the taco place at Ave E and PCH and told Phil he was drunk.  Phil says, yeah I KNOW

YOU KNOW AND YOU LET HIM DRIVE INSTEAD OF CANCELING OR PICKING HIM UP?

What is up with that?  I spoke with Denise and she said that Phil is kind of a red neck and does not believe in vaccine and is pretty stubborn about what he believes.  I guess I won't call and ask him how he can let a BRO drive while drunk ?  I understand Phil is NOT Karl's brother, but a real friend would say hey, lets do it another day.  

So Phil dropped him off and he went straight to bed.

Mary Eileen came and took me down there to pick up KR's car.  I told her all about it and no one can believe this.  Melissa is so beside herself.

I was on my way to pick up sushi and Diamond said Dad peed on the chair.  THANK GOD it was the side chair and he peed on the cushion.  I threw it out.  He was just dead weigh and we had a hard time changing him.  We only got the diaper on and he would not move.  Finally he woke up a bit after napping and we got the sheets changed.  Diamond put him back to the hospital bed after he peed, instead of having him just sit there.  But I guess caregiving is not an easy job.

I am paying her 16 dollars an hour.  JUST to sit around.  I am so glad she is here

According to Kurt, KR took Angel for a walk.  I text him at 6 30 and he did not respond back yet.  I am asking GOD to help me speak with him regarding his drinking.

I also got some Flip Phones and don't know if they were activated, from BNT plus some shelving for the cabinets.  Such nice people them BNT folks.

There is still a tub of carrots out there that KR was suppose to juice but don't know if he got to it  I will just throw them all in the compost bin if he does not

Tuesday and i am still here

 So KR stops by and drops off underwear and socks.  I had forgotten them when I went back yesterday for things.  He woke me up at 6 20 and I could not go back to sleep.  

Dad had woken up and gone to the bathroom at night.  At least he can still get up.

I got him up to eat and made porridge and he seemed really hungry, but after a few bites he could not eat any more.  I did get him to drink half an Ensure and a whole Yogoo

Then it was watching TV time.  More National Geographic.  Lion eating something or another.  Grizzly stuff.  I think KR went surfing and then went shopping for food.  I asked him to get me some sushi, and he dropped off.  

I asked him WHY HE WAS SO MAD, and he said he feels so under appreciated sometimes.  WHAT?

I need to appreciate him when my head is full of stuff and so much to do?

So he left in a huff

He did come back after he went to FM and ate and I left to distribute the food.  He slept a long time here.  He got up to pee TWICE, really?  How much did you  drink?  I went for a short run.  2.69 miles.

I also cleaned the back patio today.  Threw away all the old stuff and paints and regrouped the plants and mopped the table and watered the plants.

KR went home and I called Diamond to come and work tomorrow.  She will come Wednesday and Thursday.

I miss biking

Dad and I watched some slide show of my photos on the lap top.  He also read the letter that Auntie May sent him.  He would not eat more than a bite of noodles nor more than half an Ensure nor the cantaloupe that I brought. 

Dad seems to do morning ok, and the evening is bad.  His left leg is also visibly swollen with edema.  He keeps thanking me for the help, and yet he would not say that I am the bestest daughter.

Monday Kurt has COVID and Dad not doing too well

 So I got up about 6 am after going to bed about 9 30.  Dad got up in the middle of the night to probably go to the bathroom and I got up about midnight and didn't go back to sleep for awhile.  He managed to get to the bathroom and back, and closed his door too.

I went to the house and KR was out dropping off a bee hive at John's and check the surf.  I saw James off, giving him my transponder so he can drive the van down to Lake Forest, or somewhere like that.

I went into see Kurt and he said he needed a COVID test.  He was coughing and just not feeling well.  He said prolly exposed Thursday at the bar he and friends went to and yesterday he started feeling like he was getting a cold.  I text Corrina and she said she has a small sore throat and the home test she took says NEGATIVE and she has a pcr scheduled tomorrow.  Oh boy 

We told Kurt not to come out.  

Pastor Wilson from Bread of Life came and prayed with Dad.  Dad said he  believes Jesus is his LORD and Savior and Pastor Wilson baptized him at bedside.  It was so emotional for me.  He also translated Auntie May's letter, about my grandparent’s headstone that said something about Jesus.  They prayed together Psalm 23 and it was so interesting to hear dad and Pastor say it in unison and AMEN at the end.  

Andrea and Maribel came and cleaned the house.  I had called them to ask if they wanted to come since Kurt was positive.  They said ok.  I gave them two boxes of Lorde and Belle facial stuff.

KR did some weeding out the serenity garden.  I went to buy Yogoo from Korean Market and to see Dad's balance on EBT.  He still has 279 dollars as of today, 5/23/2022.  His ebt reloads on the 10th so if he is still with us he will get money.  

As I was leaving to come back to the condo, he asked if I wanted to give him some suckie !!   REALLY????   So inappropriate.  He didn't ask how I WAS DOING, or show care nor compassion.  He must had TWO beers.  He was laughing when he was asking, like I really wanted to do that????  Right !!!

I just don't know about that man sometimes.

And then the phone rings at almost 10 pm.  Diaper delivery is here.  I received a box of wipes, a  box of diapers and ONE thing of wipes, and THAT IS IT.  I asked the delivery guy, a really young guy to wait and opened the diapers.  THEY were the tab kind, not the pull up kind.  I told them to take it back and he called his boss and said that we can keep and donate.

Sunday the second day of HOSPICE

 So dad's official day of hospice started YESTERDAY !!!

This morning, I got him up maybe 8 30 and he was pretty good.  I cooked some eggs and he ate almost two eggs with some squash and a good bowl of ice cream.  He took his medicine and drank 10 oz of water.  I am measuring it out and seeing how much he drinks a day.

Today  he consumed about 26 oz of liquid. 

James came about 9 and I  went home for a short run in the  alleys before church.   KR took Angel to James and KR was still MAD AND MAD

Really?

My dad is the one dying and even though he does not really like him, can't you be there for me?

I did four loads of laundry and will be sorting to donate.  I don't think  dad  will last a month.  I need to use his EBT all up.  oh man  I think dad has over 300 dollars and James just spent a lot of money at Trader Joe.  I wonder how I can use it all in a  week.  Watch dad hangs on a few more weeks.  

Kurt just text me that he is coming home tonight.  

I spoke with Warren and he said Caroline had an epi pen incident, become severely allergic to something and had to get stabbed.  She is not coming down.  He said maybe Thursday.  What is wrong with those people?

I mean dad did leave us around 1974 and I was 13, James 15 and Lovely 13 and Eddie 11, but what is up with Warren and Mimi?

They had the porterhouse steak and kale, and James brought over the T Bone part for me, as I forgot my charger for the computer and he brought it back to me after I went to K Mart to return the tooth paste for some curcumin.

I spoke with Pastor Dan who will have Pastor  Wilson call me back and come and pray for Yeye

Pastor Wilson called about 9 20 and said he has Monday off and  will make time for us, and  will call tomorrow or text and come and see.

I put  the  dry laundry away for BNT Steven

Dad comes home and KR is mad mad and mad

 So what is the scoop?

Violet calls and said the hospital said that dad will be released today.  So I head over to the  condo with James and KR after we walk Angel at the beach.  We started cleaning and trying to get the place ready for the hospital bed that is coming.  Violet thinks we should have it as it is too hard to get dad to move around.  I tried to get the drawers sorted too so we can place pads and diapers like we did for Daddy George.  James was working on all the drawers in the back and organizing the clothes too so that the easy pull up type of pants can be used.

I asked KR to put the hand rails on the bidet toilet.  I thought we had it on their  toilet and it turns out won't fit.  He started saying that his back was hurting and was upset and didn't want to do anymore after an hour.  He left with Angel.

We stayed until the bed was delivered and then I went to the  hospital to pick up dad.

He was ready to go.  We got him home and James helped loading him into the bed.  He was really t ired from the car travel.

I got him settled and went to pick up diapers and pads from Freda as the items will be delivered Monday by Cesar's company.  Eternally Yours Hospice.  I came back and Violet left.  

I went home and KR was just absolutely MAD MAD AND MAD.  He said I was  not appreciative enough of his help.  WHAT?  With my dad coming  out of the hospital and into hospice and  I AM SUPPOSE TO BE APPRECIATIVE of his help?  Saying Thank you over and  over?

So we  just didn't talk.  I tried to apologize, and I don't know why I did.  Just to keep peace I guess.  I spent the night at dad's and did a load of laundry.  I started washing all his shirts and pants and jackets to donate.

I went home for the tomahawk steak that I bought today.  James wanted meat and they had them at Ralphs.  At 14 dollars  a pound, the one steak was 48 bucks !!!

I  am so so tired.  Dad kept making weird noises during the night.  I finally sleep.  

Friday Kurt goes camping

 So KR takes Angel to the beach, and I go to the hospital

Dad is peeing more.  Today is NOT Dr Steinberg but Dr Zayek or something who is young and says that dad is really making progress but who knows how much.  He is going to discharge him once the bed and stuff can be delivered to the house.  I am going to have to rearrange the furniture.  

Violet got there early too and we ordered breakfast and he ate.  I sure hope he is not going to be so grumpy once at home.  I came back and Kurt was still here.  He was suppose to leave at 10 30 and didn't leave until I think 11 for San Bernardino  mountains to go camping with  Corrina and friends.   He shall be back Monday I think.

So I will be working for Dr Chavez, so I started texting all my patients and had to call Dr Westernoff.  Darryl Moore cracked another tooth.  His mouth is a WRECK with a capital W.  Oh Well

I spoke to the case manager and to Cesar at Eternal Yours Hospice.  Turns out Dr Cristine ZapantaChavez is the main owner.  So they will deliver the hospital bed and other stuff like diapers and wipes and gloves.  We start again with ANOTHER dad  !!  So UNLIKE DADDY GEORGE

Oh what a saint that man was.  I miss you DADDY GEORGE

I was so so exhausted that I didn't go to walk with KR to Fire Road or whever they went.  I did put Angel in the crate and then picked up the scrub pants and the supplements from Walmart.  She was barking when I  got home.  That new bike is so so  nice.

I cooked some hamburgers for tomorrow.  KR had a couple of hot dogs.  We ate the steaks for breakfast.  James got back about 7 30.  I think KR has had enough of James already.

He was in bed by 8 45.  I went to bed at 10

Thursday and it is work and hospital WHAT A LONG DAY

So  Kurt was my first patient and last night at Corrina's graduation he says he gotta cancel his 7 am appt.  WHAT YOU had an appt and you didn't cancel?  

So I don't need to go to work until 8 and I sleep in.  KR went to walk Angel and then to the hospital.  He got to talk with Dr Steinberg  who said that dad's liver function  is worse, and Dr Yadany will talk to us about dad's kidney function.  I worked from 8 - 12 and went to El Super to buy some food and came home. 

Tracy and Maribel bought me two amazing spinach and cheese puff pastry and they were so delicious.  I ate one and Kurt and James shared one  I went to the hospital.  Violet went back to rest and came back at 5  I made a lot of phone calls discussing with various companies about hospice care for dad.  Violet forgot her phone so I drove back and got it and rode my bike back and then came home and delivered a bike to someone on BNT, the one with the blinking lights.  

Came home and cooked the filet mignon and James had cooked the squash.  I cooked gorgonzola sauce and it was amazing.  Kurt even ate with us.  KR and Kurt had rice, James and I did not  We also had watermelon that KR bought from Costco. 

Kurt let us use his EBT card as he had over 600 dollars still.  They keep giving  him money

I didn't go to bed until after 10

Wednesday and Violet wants to quit and dad started Peeing at the Hospital

 So this morning I go to the  hospital and Violet says she is there but she cannot find her vaccine card and yesterday they didn't ask.  Well, yesterday she went from Emergency so there was no need to ask, and as a regular visitor you need to show your vax card and your booster too.  

Dad was still asleep and  breakfast was sent so we woke him to eat.  He had some oatmeal and some eggs.  Dr Steinberg, his doctor at admitting came by and said that he is not peeing much if any at all and that we really need to think about dialysis and we said he would not want that.  I went to see Mable Duncan at the lab but when I got there, Louie was not there and they had no trays so I came home and rummaged through old cases and found a tray and went back to the lab. 

The extraction site looked red still so I called Scott Rees and I tried to text him a picture but the text won't go through and even he could not get email.  Finally he said ok and I took the impression.

I came back for a short ride and back to the hospital.  The PT person was coming  at 2.  She showed up at 2 30 and we got dad up and walking  around.  He went down for a nap and Violet went home to rest too.

KR and I went for a walk and Bill Johnson called and said that the flight to Montana needs to be set up so we got home and I found one on Southwest for about 450 each, and all he could find was 900 each.

Then Violet text me that SHE CANNOT DO THIS ANYMORE.  I understand  It is too hard for her to do the job physically and probably emotionally too

Kurt went to Corrina's graduation at CSULB

Tuesday and Dad is admitted to Torrance Memorial

 I left the phone on and Violet called me at 6 saying that Dad is not well, she tried to get him to drink water and could not find straws and she went to the store and it was closed and she sent to Denny's to buy pancake so she can get some straws.  That woman is so good

So I text Dr Lee and he says to take dad to the ER so I went over there about 7 15 and KR helped me load dad to the van and off we went.  There was only one other person there so the admit was pretty quick.  April the first nurse we had tried to scan the bladder to see if dad had any urine, only 15 cc or so.  I went back home to pick up the FM stuff and to get food from the Y, dropped them off and then went back to pick up Violet.  She had gone home for a little rest and some food.

She was there all afternoon and evening.  

We ordered salmon but dad would not eat it.  He was agitated too and wanted to sleep.  Finally woke and we went down for a scan of the abdominal area.

The doctor called and said maybe, maybe there is prostate cancer, that had a couple of spots in the spin.  I DON"T THINK SO.  Dr Lee said his PSA was fine in December.  Then we were told that dad's kidneys are not producing urine.  Maybe his years of Celebrex use had damaged, and my daily Naprosyn didn't help.  So they gave him some IV fluid and got a little pee for analysis.

Then they admitted him and put him in room 721A, next to a guy with a broken knee?

I came home and rode my NEW BIKE WHICH I LIKE VERY MUCH.  I put the basket on and it felt so good.  

KR and I went for a walk at the Fire Road and stopped at the hospital.  We spoke with the doctor and had face timed Caroline and Warren and Mimi.  

We went home.  Violet text me and said dad pulled his IV out.  Oh man  They are going to put a 'cup on it so he cannot pull it out again.

TOMORROW SHOULD BE INTERESTING !!!!

KR goes surfing, after transferring bees he got last night.  James gets a Lyft ride and the guy is super late.  He was out there waiting for over 20 minutes.  Not like before Pandemic, everyone wants to drive Lyft or Uber. 

He went down to Lake Forest.  I typed him 10 names and he is going to do 'soft sell' to get some brand recognition.  I used the RegenPen this morning and suggested a few things with  the product.  

KR went out with Bill Johnson to see Tom J, at a rehap place after Tom was hit by a car and broke his leg and some other stuff.  I had him drop me and Angel off at RiteAid on Sepulveda and we walked home.

I then took Dad and Violet to the doctor.  Violet says since Saturday dad has not had an appetite and had a hoarse voice, with fatigue and malaise.  I got him to the parking lot and dad could not walk all the way to Dr Lee's third floor office.  I went up and got a wheel chair and he was willing to sit and let me wheel up.  Dr Lee took blood, and tried to get him to pee in a cup but he had no pee.  I think dad is not drinking enough water.  

We got home and I went home and came back, brought some eggs.  Violet was  trying to get him up at 5 30 and dad won't get up saying he is tired and wants  to  sleep.   I gave him  the  augmentin and  half a senna and a tramadol

I wonder what  is happening  with him that  he won't get  up and just want to sleep.  I hope he can give a pee  sample tomorrow.  I don't know why he won't drink water

KR went to  walk Angel at Fire Road and I went to pick up Jon Liu to go to REI and we got me a NEW BIKE !!!!  I paid good money for a brand spanking new bike.  Kind of ugly but rides so so well.  Too girly looking and not BEASTY enough

KR had  WHOLE bottle of wine today  Oh man

KR does not go surfing and we go down to the beach to walk Angel.  The surf actually looked pretty good but too late.  He eats a little and goes to host at church.  Violet says that Dad is not feeling well.  He is sleeping more and she brings him over and I do a COVID test and it is negative.  They stay home.  I drive James and Kurt to church.  We bring Angel

I had to go  and sit with her during the service.  The van was getting hot.  We come home and go for a bike ride.  Ave C to El Porto.  About 12 miles.  My butt  was sore

We come home and stop at Walmart to buy bicycle tire.  I BUY THE WRONG kind, and left my phone there.  I call my phone and the lady at Walmart answers.  I go back and exchange tire and buy the correct tire, and drive to Jon Liu's and he says to 'true' the rim, would cost maybe 20 bucks, not worth doing iif I am not going to keep the bike.

So we will go buy NEW bike for me !!!

I come home and James had bought Sablefish and Cod and Char.  I cook the first two.  With a cream sauce and then just lemon butter.  We ate almost the  whole  thing

KR goes to Christianity 101 and I clean the kitchen, mops the floors. take a shower and go to bed.

Saturday Farmers Market and Klub

 I was so asleep, didn't get up until 7 17, went to sleep at 8 47, got 8 3/4 hour of sleep, but the sleep score was not too good.  KR had taken Angel to the park, and then he went to pick up Bubba and to the Klub.  I went and got the van and James went for a drive.  I will put it back nightly in the garage at mom's

I did two loads of laundry and transplanted a bunch of red plumeria plants, which I will give away.

I dropped James off and bought him 50 dollars of EBT money and he spent 44 of it.  At least he bought me some cheese.

He walked home and said it was very hot.  Today's weather is going to be high of 83 and low of 58

Kurt said his hike last night up Echo Mountain was very very long and dusty.  Said he didn't get back until 2 !!!

We went to the FM and got a bunch of carrots and kale.  I cooked all the kale with some cauliflower.  With James here, seems like there is not much food.  KR took a nap and I went for a ride.  We went down to the beach for a walk with Angel.  It was really warm today.  Temp says 81 but feels like 88  Tomorrow will be only 75.

James went for a ride and said he went to Trader Joe.  The tricky part he says is the parking lot.  He was very careful.  He thinks he is leaving Monday morning and staying somewhere closer to Lake Forest.  Says he is going to Texas in June. 

Man I hope he saves his money

Easy Friday and James returns

 So KR goes surfing again.  I got 8 hours of sleep

I cook the ribs and then baked them with sauce, and cooked some cauliflower again.  

I also took the filter out of the dishwasher and it was so so greasy and disgusting !!  I was just cleaning the bottom of the dishwasher and realized there are pieces that I should remove and clean.  So I googled it and took this trap out.  I need KR to find the trap for the washing machine too.

All this took awhile to do.

We took Angel down to the beach AT 11 for a walk.  It was HOT.  High of 88 today

Kurt went down to Anaheim to pick up James from Embassy Suites.  James gave him a tank of gas.  Also he tried to use EBT for El Pollo but could not for some reason.  I later went to Korea Market and was able to.  His pin is 7038

KR dropped me off at Prospect/PV Blvd and I ran home.  Total of 2 73 at 12 50 pace.  VERY SLOW

It was so hot I went over to the pool for a jacuzz and fell asleep.

KR went for a bike ride.  I was going to go but I would be way too slow so I stayed home and sat outside for a bit.  Adam text me, he was in Anaheim at the convention too.

Kurt went out with Corrina for a night hike in Pasadena

James talked ALOT on the phone about this new business.

CDA convention for the office and NO WORK for me

 So I didn't have to be at the office at a crack of dawn. They all went to the convention and I stayed home.  KR went surfing.  Kurt came home about 7 30 and I went over to Yeye to clean.  Kurt had some essay due of course he was goofing until the last minute.  

The place was not a mess but NOT clean either.  I put all the rugs and the towels in the washer and put them outside to dry.  I scrubbed the shower and the sink and ran the dishwasher and put ice down the garbage disposal.  I vacuumed and tried to mop the kitchen floor. 

I asked dad if he ate and he said no so I cooked some eggs and toast and cut up fruit and then he said he is NOT going to eat be cause he ALREADY ate.  After I dropped the recycling off, and came back, he was eating the eggs and finished everything.  He said the meal was soso, why can't he just be grateful and said it was great?  No idea

James said he got 'cupping' down there and will be coming back tomorrow.

I had an hour nap.  Don't know what happened.  I was just tired and I laid down and was asleep no time flat for an hour.  KR had either one or two beers and slept for over TWO HOURS

We went up to the fire road and walked Angel.

Kurt had his last class tonight.

Violet brought me some food.  Very good bao and meat.

Wednesday and WHAT am I going to do for an the office?

 KR leaves early for surfing. James arranged his own ride to the meeting place near Lake Forest.  Angel goes nuts as I tried to shoot the squirrel twice and miss badly.  He come back and we go walking Angel to the park.  Angel is so so interested in getting the squirrel she climbs into the tree and just make a mess of herself trying to find one

I cooked the pork in curry sauce and he has some.  

I paid Tyler's LARGE DENTAL BILL  I sent him a receipt from the oral surgery office saying he was suppose to take us out and he just left town without saying good bye   Par for the course

I biked four miles.  Very slow.  KR takes a nap and we go to fire road.  When I got there I felt so exhausted that I tried sleeping in the car.  I got out after what I thought was 10 minutes and KR was almost down from the walk already.

I got home and was still pooped so I laid down and watched a webinar on crown prep.  Very interesting.  I must try this round diamond bur.  

We were in bed by 8  I got a really nice foot massage.  According to  my watch I was asleep by 8 15 and woke up at 6 08 but only a total of 9 hours and 25 minutes with an hour and 26 min waking.  How is that possible?

Tuesday and I am the TAXI

 So KR gets up and goes to his Bible Study at Fred's and I drive James to Anaheim. We left about 9 15.  KR had came back and taken Angel for a walk.  We go to Embassy Suites and he drops his luggage off and then I drive him to Calerie, Self care starts with Cell Care.  Wow  Who thought that slogan up?

I drop him off and it is 1.2 miles from his hotel across the freeway.  I go to Walmart and did not find the refrigerator organizer I saw online and then I went to El Super and bought a bunch of food, especially avocados for KR.  I came home and KR went to FM and we waited for Doug Dester, the plumber to come.

We go to Bill Philips office and do our fillings.  I do fillings 6F, 7F, 8I, 9I, 10F, 11F, 20 O, 29 O, and KR does 7 -10, 23-26 all incisals.

We come home and I forgot to eat lunch and so I  had lunch and we walk Angel to the park

James said he had a good day in Anaheim and he is going to Foothill Ranch tomorrow

I biked 4 miles ONLY TODAY

I cooked a bunch of leeks.  I also made cauliflower rice again

I didn't go to bed until 10 pm.  KR was asleep by 9

Monday

 So KR goes surfing early.   He does not attend meeting of the Monday morning group.  I drive James to DMV at 7 30.  He gets done early and I pick him up and drive him to Social Security.  While I was walking Angel, he text me he is done and I pick him up.  He will get his drivers license in about two weeks and a new SS card.

KR comes home and has eggs and steak and cauliflower.  Goes to Costco, with Kurt's ebt card.  He had about 250 big ones still.  hahahah

James eats Mary Eileen's soup and the rest of the steak and takes a nap, and KR takes a nap too.   Chuck bakes us a WHOLE lemon meringue pie.  I gave most of it to Andrea.

Sam the Garage Door guy comes and fixes the garage door.  It cost us 150 bucks and a mulberry tree when we have one ready.  He spent at least an hour trying to get the remote to sync with the door.  BUT However, now KR's car won't sync with the door.  I am going to have him watch the youtube video and sync it.

We took Angel to Boundary road for a run.  She was tired.

Then Monica asked if I or Megha can work as her  husband has jury duty and she has to pick up the kids.  I asked Aria if we can come in next Tuesday and he says he thinks there is  double hygiene so no go.  Megha said she can work so we are going to  g o into the office to work on each other.  I will drive James to Anaheim tomorrow morning and  the plumber will come at 12 and we will go into the office at 2

MOTHER'S DAY 5/8/2022

 HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

My card to mom has not arrived.  Kurt bought a card and wrote something really nice.  Tyler text me at about midnight Happy Mother's Day.  Diamond sent a note saying it was from BOTH OF THEM.  At 1 pm Will sent a msg vis Messenger.

I went to the airport to pick up James.  He arrived about 10 am and we stopped at Best Buy but they were not  open until 11 so we went to T Mobile for a SIM card.

He came in  and started 1) getting a social security acrd, and 2) making  an appt with  DMV to  renew his Drivers License.

KR and Kurt and Yeye went to church

KR bought fence proofing  stuff for the raccoon.  It tried to get the bird house again and KR wants to just kill that mother of a raccoon

James tried to make appt for DMV and tried to set up online account for Social Security.  NO GO for SS.  Guess he could not prove he is who he is.  So he has to go to SS office maybe tomorrow to get a new card,

We go to El Pollo Loco to eat MOTHER'S day meal as I had a coupon and we used the EBT card so about 54 dollars of food FREE.  Yeye didn't have any problem going which is good.  We ate almost the whole thing and dropped them off at home and all went to bed.

Saturday 5/7/2022

 I changed the sheets and the washer is still backed up even though  put baking soda and vinegar down.  Gonna have to snake that thing.  So I had to redirect the water to the drive way.  I used the soap water to wash the driveway.  Then watered the grass.  

In the morning we went down to the beach to walk Angel.  Then I went to Target to get 100 dollars gift card and off to the baby shower.  About 15  women came.  Carole did a real nice job with the games and food and decor.  There was a naming of the animal babies, like Bear to Cub, and Gorilla to Infant.  REALLY !!!

I  came back and first went for a run of 3.8 miles at 12 14 pace.  Still can't go faster.  Knees hurt.  Then I  picked up Angel.  KR had taken Matthew and Bubba and Nathan to the park in Gardena.  He said they were late for the Dodger thing and there was not much to do.  After he came home I went for a 2.6 mile bike ride.  Slow.  My knees.

Then we walked to the park and back with Angel

I stayed up until past 9 30 to make sure James was going to stay in San Francisco and spend the night.  He flew in from Vietnam to SFO landing at 8 30.  He slept at the airport until Sunday morning.

Friday

 I could  not get up until 6 15.  We walked Angel at the beach and saw Natalie

KR changed the light in the back of Yeye house.  He said he mounted it upside down and there was a short in the wiring.  He also bought another filter for the shop vac.  I did laundry and the hose backed up again.  I had to suck up bunch of water and cut more of the carpet off so in case it floods again, won't get wet

KR did a lot of weeding in the Y lot.

I hung the laundry and went for a ride first at 1 43 for almost five miles.  Then I went for a run of 2 miles, still very slow at 12 min mile.  To check the swarm trap, nothing there.  It was kind of hot.

I cut pieces of the carpet off so the garage won't flood.

We drove up to check  the surf  in Palos Verdes.

We had left over for dinner or was it sushi?  Don't remember

Easy Working Thursday

 I got to work by 6 45 and the 7 didn't show up.  Actually several patients didn't show up  Kurt had an appt at 9 and we took x rays and did the SDF and Dr S did some scaling and I did some cavitron.  He had  LOTS of calculus lower anterior prox.  We didnt' even have time to do the polishing.  His filling on #3 is staining and we might just add some sealant, etc.

I tried in Maribel's grandma's denture frame and reduced the frame some and will have a try in with teeth.

I left about 11 45?  Went on a bike ride by 12 40 for 6 miles and then we went to Fire Road to walk Angel 

The Bible Study was so long.  I was really tired.  We left at 8 45.  Angel was barking and honking in the car.  Kurt had school

I took a shower and went to bed as soon as we got home

Wednesday and I FORGOT OFFICE MEETING

 So I went to NH weigh room to get some weight exercises.  KR then took me and Angel to go for a walk.,   Came home and started to do my numerous stuff, like dad's rent and paying Tyler's bill and then Maribel text me, WHERE ARE YOU

Oh dang

I forgot the office meeting.

I ran out quick and took Angel with  me.  Dr Sata  was not there and I stayed about 11 and came home.  KR came back for  a bite to eat and then Jaime Murray and he went to Sharp Shooter gun range,.  They came back right away.  THE PLACE IS CLOSED

They bought a six pack of beer and had some.  Kurt came by for some  bird seed and had one too.

When KR napped, I went for a 8.8 mile ride

We went and walked the dog down at the beach.  Dinner was air fryer ribs

Tuesday and it is TYLER"s Wisdom teeth removal day

 So I don't even know why Tyler did not get his thirds out 10 years ago.  All I could say it that he was probably so problematic that we didn't even want to bother.  Well, in the last five yaers he has been complaining of his tooth, #17 bothering him  So he went and saw KR yesterday and KR says NO CAN DO and we called Trent et al and Josh took them out this morning.  

Tyler was suppose to be there at 7 40.  HE WAS LATE

Josh W called and that he would be putting Tyler under and that there was some confusion about who was paying what.  I told Josh to charge him 100% for the sedation and we will pay for the extractions.  He said Tyler should be done maybe about 11 to 11 30.

Josh called me back and said all went well and no complication.  Tyler has some Marcaine and should be feeling pretty good for awhile as that is long lasting.

KR went surfing early and I ran Angel back from Calle Mayor.   

We went to FM and got a LOT of cabbage and kale and carrots and spinach.  I gave a lot away.

We went to the Fire Road and of course ANGEL disappeared for a bit.  Finally she came up from some off the beaten trail

KR took Angel to the dog class and then stopped at Kurt's to have a beer.  Now he is not working much, drinking is getting started again.

I went to bed before he came home.

Monday KR's LAST DAY AT WORK

 So KR had to work and I DIDN"T

HAHAH  I went with him and ran Angel home from Calle Mayor.  I went to Numero Uno and bought meat and stuff   BUT I forgot pie crust.  I wanted to make quiche.  I got bacon and other stuff too.  Went to lab and dropped off some cookies, and went to see Mary to see if the denture fits.  She says a little gum irritation, so I need to make some adjustments.

I went to see Laura Albano and got NEW EYEBROWS !!!  Cost me 700 big ones.  She got divorced and had to buy the house she and her wife bought together in Hawaii.  She is leaving this Sunday for FOUR months.  Maybe I should get new eye liner too

Tyler saw KR and needs 16 and 17 done.  KR asked me to call Trent and I am just tired of being the go between and don't know what was going on.  Tyler says he ASSUMED that we would be paying.  OH NO.  He is quite the character.

Finally he said he would be paying the sedation and we will pay the extraction fees.

What a kid

KR got off about 5 15 and came home just exhausted.

SUNDAY 5/1/2022 and Tyler comes to visit

 So Tyler called and said he was in California last night and wanted to come and visit.  Said he is staying in Northridge.  KR went surfing and I  walked Angel home from the rental house and my left foot was hurting.  

We went to church, me KR Yeye and Kurt and got a lot of great food from Sarah.  Seafood  town pork chops and chicken and soup and stuff.  Tyler came with Toby.  We had him come in to see lunch and then went to walk Boundary Road.  We thought he was going to come about 12 30 and he didn't get here until 1 30.  Angel and Toby were fine walking and then I went to the Candidate Event at NH and talked to George and Dana who was running for treasurer of Torrance.  Lots of interesting conversation.  

Kurt then called me to help him with getting his classes in order for fall.  I guess he tried a week ago and hit a snag and now he could not get the schedule he wants and he just wanted to quit but we got through and he hopefully is getting a 'code' to get the classes he needs to graduate.

I came home and we had left over for dinner and KR was in bed with light out by 8

HE HAS TO WORK TOMORROW !!!!

And Tyler's wisdom tooth 17 is what is bothering him.  All of his third molars came out except 17, which is mostly out  KR s going to try to see if he can take it out and take an x ray tomorrow

Saturday

 So KR went surging and didn't go surfing, he came back and took Angel to the golf course where they were having LPGA tournament.  It was a cool and a little windy day.  I did laundry and the garage FLOODED from the washer  I had gone to Mary's to let her cleaning lady in and came back and the garage.  THANK goodness I came back home before the second rinse further flooded the garage.

I went to my CT scan.  THREE HUNDRED PLUS dollars later.........

I vacuumed all the water off and cleaned the dry/wet vac.  It was filthy.  I also cut off part of the  rug  in front of the  washer so if  and  when it does flood again, the carpet won't get wet.  It took HOURS  of work and  I was TIRED.  

KR took a short nap before FM and we got a lot of strawberries and some spinach and kale.  He and Kurt went to Scholb's for the church lunch thing,  Only about 12 people went but they had two beers each and a good time

He took another  nap.  We went down to the beach at sunset for a short walk.  

Dinner was trader Joe orange chicken and cauliflower
